Fantastic experience: Very prompt, and thorough. I was told what was happening and why, what I needed to attend to more dilligently. The whole team, making an appointment, reminders, efficiencies, Dr. Catanzanos inspection were professional, thorough and Mandy was great as usual.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Catanzano has been my dentist for almost 25 years. I see him regularly, every six months. My most recent visit was due to a filling that came out while I was flossing late at night. Early the following morning I phoned the office, told Gloria what happened and after a brief time, she returned and told me to come to the office in a couple of hours. I did, Dr. Catanzano made the necessary repairs, assisted by Aileen, and all was well. As always, I was treated with kindness and warmth in the office and with great professional skill by Dr. Cananzano. He is a gem of a dentist and a gem of a person. His office staff, Teri and Gloria are wonderful as well. I am beyond grateful for their presence.

Fantastic experience: I recently had an appointment at Foxhall Smiles. I had a question about obtaining a dental device to treat sleep apnea. Dr. Catanzano provides these devices but does not participate in Medicare. Staff explained the difference between participating and non- participating dentists.

Positive experience: Does your office accept MedStar Family Choice DC? This inquiry pertains to my mother. Over the past two years, her visits to various dental specialists have resulted in referrals to multiple practitioners. She currently suffers from a gum abscess on the left side and requires a wisdom tooth extraction on the same side, along with treatment for a gap on the upper right posterior region of her mouth. Her most recent experience was at Howard University Hospital, where the dentist failed to submit her paperwork to her insurance company for pre-authorization of sedation. Ms. J. S. Turdivant, the receptionist, indicated that Avesis was causing delays in her dental treatment; however, upon investigation, it was clarified that her provider had not submitted the necessary paperwork. After considerable effort just to facilitate the removal of her wisdom teeth and drainage of her gum abscess, my mother was sadly disappointed. What is happening within the medical profession? Where is the compassion, trust, caring, understanding, and willingness to listen to patients? One day, you may find yourselves on the other side of the table.
