Fantastic experience: Fantastic staff, true professionals. I’ve been to a LOT of dental practices in my considerable lifetime and this is one of the best. I have several issues going on and Dr. G has spent a lot of time with me explaining treatment options and not pushing I do anything I’m not comfortable with. Very, very impressed with District Dental.

District Dental called them and was able to get my X-rays forwarded. The examination was thorough, informative, and not rushed. Dr. G even cleaned my teeth as the hygienist was not there. Probably the most complete teeth cleaning and advice I ever had. Excellent experience from start to finish!

Negative experience: The office manager was extremely nice. The front desk staff not so much. The person answering the phone is extremely rude and this courteous.

Fantastic experience: This is a great office, staffed by friendly and efficient people and Dr Schobel is wonderful. The pricing is higher than my former dentist, but it is also much techier. They do take very good care of their patients!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Schobel spent his lunch time repairing a temporary crown that was put in by an oral surgeon. He isn't even my dentist but he did it because Dr. G was out of the office. And then at the end, he didn't charge me! I was so grateful and I was impressed with how kind and friendly he is. He made sure I didn't have to get on a plane a few hours later without a tooth. Fantastic experience: I visited District Dental Center and saw Dr. Gialanella ("Dr. G"). The entire staff (receptionist, dental assistant, and especially Dr. G) we're all professional, informative and friendly. Dr. G's examination was thorough, and throughout he described, in clearly understood detail, each step of his examination, telling me why he was doing what he was and telling me the results of his examination. I highly recommend District Dental Center and Dr. Gialanella to anyone in DC who is seeking professional, caring and friendly dental care.

Fantastic experience: I was in need of a new dentist and was lucky to find District Dental and Dr. G. The practice itself is great and the entire team is wonderful. As for Dr. G, he is a talented dentist that gives his patients the best care with skill and precision. What stood out the most was that he took the time to go over everything with me and walked me through why (or why not) he recommended a particular course of treatment. Such individualized attention allowed me to make informed decisions with realistic expectations so that I would be happy with the results (and I am very happy with the results).

Fantastic experience: Dr. Schobel and District Dental Care were highly recommended by a friend, and after my first visit, I also recommend them very highly. In just one visit, they gave me a more complete understanding of my teeth and the (fortunately very minor) issues I have than I've ever gotten from any other dentist. (And I've liked all my dentists.) After my exam, Dr. Schobel sat down with me in front of a monitor and gave me a truly illuminating look at the X-rays and pictures of my teeth they'd just taken. He gave me all the information I needed to understand my options, and his billing assistant in a very helpful and no-pressure way explained how much each potential procedure would cost. After my last dentist retired, I was worried I'd never find someone as good. Now, I can't imagine finding anyone any better.

I called District Dental at 8am on Monday and they had me in a chair to put it back on within the hour. They really go above and beyond for their clients. And I appreciate how they explain step by step what they will do, and what to expect.

Fantastic experience: I immediately in my first visit knew that this practice was going to be great. They welcomed me, the initial intake was very thorough, answered every question I had and met just about everyone in the practice. My previous dentist that retired was amazing and had been seeing him for well over 10 years so the bar was very high. They certainly met that bar!

Negative experience: The front desk worker Shelia is very rude and unprofessional. I inquired if they would be willing to work with someone who has anxiety, and was very short and uncaring. If that is how patients are treated here, then I do not want someone with sharp tools messing around in my mouth.

Positive experience: Accurate diagnosis and assessment of the best, and cost-effective treatment. Only one negative: i wish the appointment staff had not told me to NOT bring my cap that came off. Bringing the cap in would have saved time and at least one return trip. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the dental services I receive from District Dental Center.

Fantastic experience: I was so glad I was able to go back to District Dental after almost a year away because of Covid precautions. I had my teeth x-rayed and cleaned, Casey did a super thorough job and thankfully, I had no cavities or other issues. Dr. Schobel did the examination, is knowledgeable, takes time and care. I recommend this practice--a great team! Also convenient to Metro, a plus.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient here for a couple years. Dr. G is always medically thorough, patient, listens to my concerns, and has fantastic bedside manner. Mercedes is an excellent hygienist. The staff always treat me with respect and are friendly. They’re out of network for me, but the staff submits the claim to my insurance for me and I can’t speak for any other plans, but I always get reimbursed 100% for my cleaning and exam.

Fantastic experience: I started going to District Dental Center because it was close to my old office. I’ve been so happy with Dr. Schobel and his team that I make the trip back into DC for dental visits despite no longer working nearby. Everyone at the practice is so friendly and kind. I don’t have dental insurance but the out-of-pocket prices feel very fair for the high quality of care they provide. Communicating with the office is always stress-free and it’s reassuring to know that I can get in touch and get an appointment if any issues come up between scheduled visits. My only concern is that the practice is dropping participation with all dental insurance providers. I signed up for dental insurance because this practice accepted it and the coverage has made a huge financial difference.
