Fantastic experience: As soon as I walk through the door, Dr. Matin and his staff make me feel welcome and immediately put my anxiety at ease. Dr. Matin has done two grafts for me, and has also treated an area around an implant (placed by another doctor many years ago) that has been of particular concern. None of those procedures has been painful. He is warm and personable -- and his expertise is always evident. Victoria does a masterful job of deep cleanings, and it's always a joy to talk with Karen, whether she's taking an X-ray or preparing me for a procedure. Highly recommended.

They take their jobs seriously, but are also invested in patient care and comfort. I was asked to choose whatever music I wanted to hear during the procedure. Dr Matin is knowledgeable, kind, gentle, and polite. Karen talked me through all the pre-op and post-op steps. Natalie & Mary worked their magic behind the scenes. Nisa runs the “front of house” smoothly and with warmth and efficiency. I also respect that she has a business card, right next to Dr Matin’s. For me, that speaks volumes of the extent to which these folks value each other.

Fantastic experience: My appointment concerned periodic tooth cleaning by the hygienist Victoria. First the receptionist Nisa offered her usual warm welcome. Then Victoria conducted as thorough a cleaning, meaning plaque removal, as I can recall having in a long time. My teeth got X-rayed to identify any hidden cavities and other abnormalities. Dr. Matin inspected my mouth, told me that overall my teeth looked good, and reminded me to pay attention to receding gum lines. I made an appointment for 6 months hence. Overall a worthwhile visit involving hardly any discomfort.

Fantastic experience: My experience getting periodontal surgery with Dr. Matin could not have been better. All of the staff are incredibly friendly, professional and helpful. Dr. Matin is great, and even texted me the evening after my surgery to check in. The surgery itself was easy and painless. They were very prepared, giving me instructional papers before and after surgery to make sure I knew what to do and called in my medicines to the pharmacy days in advance. I drove an hour to get there and it was worth it. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Fantastic experience: I noticed an anomaly in my jaw near where my implant and was a bit worried. The office was able to schedule me to see Dr. Matin the next day. They took me in right at the appointment time and Dr. Matin examined my mouth and my x-rays. He was able to assure me that he saw no evidence of any infection or other problem. We could see that the anomaly was likely due to a prior surgery, but was not causing any health problem.

Fantastic experience: Hard to believe that one could use the word pleasant to describe an experience with the dentist. But it’s the only way to describe my experience at Dr. matin’s. Yesterday I had TWO extractions and bone grafting for implant at Dr Matin’s. And it was as smooth, stress less and yes, pleasant as going for a simple check up. Dr, Matin’s staff are super accommodating and professional; and he himself is a gem of a doctor both in terms of knowing his stuff and his kind /caring attitude. I hope he does not retire for decades to come.

Fantastic experience: I adore Dr. Matin! He is so kind and gentle… and he saved my teeth when others wanted to pull them. His staff is friendly and quite skilled, and Nisa, at the front desk, is welcoming and always goes the extra mile to explain things and help with insurance companies.

Fantastic experience: Dr Matin is brilliant and fabulous oral surgeon. He is very caring and super gentle so he works hard to ensure that his patients are completely numb. He always reminds me that he doesn’t want there will be any pain during his procedures including pulling teeth. Dr Matin has also helped me to better understand the causes and issues related to three autoimmune illnesses impacting my mouth. In fact, he was able to help me to a much greater degree than my internist did. If you have never had an Iranian doctor then do yourself a solid and consult with Dr Matin. I have three physicians from Iran and they are all so kind and helpful, but even more importantly, I have found their knowledge and expertise even beyond their specific specialty to be phenomenally helpful. Lastly, I must mention Nise. She is Dr. Matin’s long time office manager who sits at the front desk. Unfortunately, due to several auto immune illnesses and disability, I have had to spend a considerable amount of time in doctor offices but no one can hold a candle to the outstanding customer service Nise provides. She is always very happy, super kind, and tremendously helpful. In fact, every staff member in Dr Martin’s office has a great attitude and they are super friendly. Lastly, I have found that most doctors located in the Chevy Chase are typically much more expensive but Dr Matin is worth every penny.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Dr. Matin for over ten years and he is wonderful. While traveling and having a dental concern I have returned to Bethesda just to see Dr. Matin. Like a lot of people, I’m not wild about seeing a dentist. But, Dr. Matin is different. Just walking into Dr. Matin’s one senses calm. From the black and white architectural photos of the District of Columbia on the wall, the gentle lighting and the friendly support staff one is put at ease. Dr. Matin is so gentle and always checking to make sure the patient is ok. He is extremely knowledgeable, technically excellent, and is so pleasant. (Plus, he has a kind sense of humor.) My procedures have always gone very well and I plan to always return to him and his comforting staff for my procedures.
