Fantastic experience: Always a great place to go! The Dentist used to be a dreary visit, but now it's a pleasure! Very professional group that knows what they are doing. Dr Peter Stickney put two crowns on me the same day. Never have getting crowns felt so comfortable, I mean that they fit so great , it doesn't feel like I have crowns! Maddie the hygienist is also a pleasure! She does a great cleaning and is delicate but firm at the same time. Dr. Robin Stickney always makes sure that my appointments and bills are on point. I just feel that Stickney Dental goes out of their way to make their customers comfortable and come back for their excellent service!

Fantastic experience: I know some dental procedures are quite expensive, but the bi annual check ups are painless and easy. A quick cleaning and check can’t prevent the more expensive needed procedures. Stickney provides this service in a very timely manner and I would highly recommend scheduling with them to complete this.

Negative experience: I had a dentist appointment today. I arrived and when they took me to the back for my appointment they said I owed $88.00 for a new patient full mouth X-rays. I have great dental insurance and I get 3 cleanings a year with X-rays. I have never paid a dime for X-rays and cleanings in several years. I said I was never told about a $88.00 charge. The office manager said we called you on March 20 and spoke to you about it. I checked my call logs on my phone and I never received a call from them. The office manager still insisted they called and spoke to me. I said I did not receive a call so I decided to leave.

Fantastic experience: I had my first appointment yesterday at Stickney Dental to get established, and I can honestly say—this is what a real family dentist experience is supposed to feel like. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted like I mattered. The front desk immediately recognized me as a new patient and mentioned how nice it was to finally meet me after setting up multiple appointments over the phone for my family and me. That kind of personal touch is rare these days—and it did not go unnoticed. The hygienist who handled my full set of X-rays was fantastic. Super friendly, easy to talk to, and made what is usually an awkward process feel comfortable and smooth. We actually had a great conversation, which says a lot when someone has a mouth full of X-ray tabs. Then came the doctor—total gentleman. Friendly, professional, and personable. Took the time to do a thorough oral exam without rushing, explained everything clearly, and most importantly… no pressure, no sales pitch, no nonsense. And let me just say this—what a refreshing change from those “assembly line” dental offices (you know the ones in the Heathbrook area that love to “fix smiles” and push Invisalign like it’s a subscription service ). Every visit there felt like a drive-thru: new faces every time, zero connection, and constant upselling. Stickney Dental is the complete opposite. This is a true family dental office where you feel like a person—not a number. If you’re tired of the McDental experience and want a place where the staff actually knows you, cares about you, and treats you with respect… this is it. Highly recommend. We’ve officially found our family dentist.

Negative experience: Great Dental Work Manager needs work , doesn’t Trust her Employees even though they were absolutely correct charged me $164.00 for out of Network even though they’ve always been in Network , didn’t Trust or Value Patty (front office employee )even though patty called Insurance told her they were in Network .

Fantastic experience: When I moved from Louisiana I was extremely nervous and sad to leave my Dentist that I had been going to for over 20 years. My childhood Dentist had no patience with children and verbally abused me when I complained about still feeling pain when he filled a cavity. My Dentist in Louisiana totally understood as his wife had the same experience with her childhood Dentist. I just needed extra numbing medicine. I worried about finding a Dentist in Florida that I would be just as comfortable with and that would be just as compassionate about my fears. I was very blessed to have a coworker recommend Dr. Stickney. He is very skilled, professional, explains what needs to be done and why. He never does any procedure that is not necessary. I trust him completely. The Dental Hygienists are wonderful! As is the rest of the office staff. Very friendly, accommodating, professional and knowledgeable. I definitely recommend Dr. Stickney and his office teem.

Fantastic experience: This office is absolutely wonderful. I am from out of town and severely chipped a tooth. They were super friendly and made me an appointment for an evaluation in a couple of weeks. The same day they called and stated they had a cancellation and was able to get me within 3 days. I was assuming for an evaluation. When I arrived today not only did they do the evaluation but they completed a crown. They had state of the art equipment. He was quick to evaluate and within in a hr I was leaving with a finished crown. He is absolutely superb and his staff, wow super efficient. The office was clean and very nice. I was blessed to find him. I just wished he was closer home, he would definitely be my dentist. 2025 I returned to Florida for a visit. Purposely I left my 6 month dental checkup wait so I could let Dr Stickney office do it for me. He is great and his staff are wonderful.

Fantastic experience: Every thing was on time and the cleaning of my teeth was done very well without any pain. Could not ask anything better!! All of the staff was extremely professional and listened with care. (I have special needs.)

Positive experience: They reminded us of our upcoming visits 4 times! During 2 of those reminders we were told 2 conflicting amounts that we would be charged. I strongly suggest that Dr. Stickney's office print out a price sheet regarding every procedure. Every patient should know the current charges for cleanings, various procedures, etc. They do tell you about a specific upcoming appointment's cost. Patients should be able to see the cost for every service just the same as they can see the cost for items at the grocery store. I also think the office should post information regarding what dental insurances they accept. Patients deserve to be sufficiently armed with all information regarding costs and services.

Fantastic experience: I am retired and Dr Stickney was the first dentist that I went away from after my visit that I thought “ what a wonderful person “ He used laser not drilling. I definitely was very very happy. I will not dread going to the dentist any more. It’s about time!!! He was my third dentist I went to in Ocala and hope he will continue his practice for a long long time. He is WONDERFUL!!

Fantastic experience: I moved to Florida 2 years ago and had been to three dentists in that time. Each was a consultation and I never went back. I was wondering if I was ever going to find a dentist that I wanted to go back to. My community recommended Stickney Dental. I was able to get an appointment within 3 weeks. When I saw Dr Stickney, he took his time, he didn't rush me, he answered every question I had. He gave me open, honest feedback and we talked through all my concerns. His staff gave me options, timelines, and costs. We talked through any other scenarios I could think of. I appreciate that he and his staff are so professional, welcoming, and actually took their time with me. I was able to get a cleaning appointment the following week. And we're working towards the goals that I want to achieve. Yay!! I can see why he was recommended and I'm sure glad I went! Update 2025: We've started working towards my goals and I'm currently in that in between stage where there can be frequent challenges. Every time I have a challenge, Dr. Stickney and staff get me in quickly and take care of it. I broke a temporary tooth yesterday. Jennifer got me in this morning and fixed it right away. Going into a holiday weekend I really appreciated that! I highly recommend Dr. Stickney and staff. ♥️♥️ Update March 2026: Called Stickney about a wisdom tooth. They called in a prescription right away. As soon as I was done the round of antibiotics, they got me in and pulled the beast out. It didn't go easily, but they made sure I was comfortable throughout. Thanks again! You are always so easy to work with, professional, and welcoming. Stickney Dental helped me reach all the goals I had for my teeth. Now it's just regular cleanings. Yay!!

Fantastic experience: I lost a crown over the weekend. Called Monday morning to get it recemented. Got an appointment same afternoon and was good to go! Was treated by the “new” dentist, Dr. Ang. What a delightful young man. He was very aware of and concerned about my comfort and made sure there was no pain. He also had a very dry sense of humor, and that helped to put me at ease.

Fantastic experience: I had a bunch of cavities filled today. I have severe anxiety when it comes to dentists and needles. He used the laser on all of my cavities so I didn't need a Novocaine shot and I felt absolutely nothing the whole time. They also gave me an oral sedative pill, something like a Valium, to take ahead of time so I was feeling not a care in the world when I arrived and that's just perfect as far as i'm concerned. Best dental experience that i've never had! So glad I found this office and I'll always come back here for all of my dental work. Thank you so much!!!!!
