Fantastic experience: Jessica and Dr. Mousa were great. This practice has a small business hometown feel that is hard to find. They did not try to sell me dental care but instead took time to perform the cleaning and educate me on my teeth and what to expect as I age. Jessica is the first hygienist to clean my teeth without causing pain or sensitivity. Overall fantastic experience.

Positive experience: Very Nice and patient. Answered all of my questions and concerns with honesty and clarity.only downside is that I had a cleaning on my right side and have to wait and have waited for over a year for them to do the other side. Now I have a hole in my teeth.. I thought that they were in the business of saving your teeth I’m not going to have any teeth by the time they ready to clean the other side.. ugh

Negative experience: I used to go to this place for years and their customer service has completely gone downhill. It all started with having so much pain in my tooth that I knew I needed a root canal however I had to get referred by my dentist office. When I called they made me appointment quickly but when I get there, they allow me to sit in a chair well over an hour waiting to see a dentist. Meanwhile, I can hear him having a lengthy personal conversation with one of his tech’s AND her young child who was there in the office for some reason that day. He then proceeds to come into the room finally to just tell me how busy he was not realizing I overheard everything. They did refer me but I had to call back and ask for an anabiotic because even though they saw how much pain I was in, they did not offer to send a prescription into my pharmacy. I had to request them to do that from the recommendation of the root canal doctor. Anyhow they refer me to a wonderful place called North Central Florida Endodontics. However, after I got my Root Canal done, I still had to go back to this Dentist to have a restoration of the tooth. I call and told the receptionist exactly what the letter stated for me to tell them and she sets me up an appointment. I go for that appointment today and as soon as I get there, they asked me to pay my copayment and the price is over $300 which I thought was crazy but root canals are expensive so I paid the co-pay. I get back to the room and they are setting up to fill a cavity on the left-hand side of my mouth when I’m there for a restoration on the right hand side of my mouth, which again I clearly stated at the time I made the appointment. Therefore they were prepared to do a procedure that I NEVER requested them to do and they ignored the real reason I was there and completely charged me wrong too!!! When I got upset they seem to act like I was overreacting that they charged and prepared to complete a procedure I never approved and they weren’t going to complete the procedure I requested AND more importantly needed. The correct procedure was finally done but the Dentist was rude and completely it as quickly as he could and I have no idea if he did it correctly he just wanted me out of the office. No sincere apology or anything he even worked on my mouth knowing how upset this situation had me. So even though I’ve been going to this practice over three years, I will not be going back and I will no longer be recommending them to anyone. And my one star review has another one directly underneath it from 2 months ago however it is not reflected in the total stars, why is that?

Dr. Helmy is amazing -if not the best dentist i’ve ever been to- he explained everything to me and made sure i was comfortable through out the visit, i came to him with pain and it turned out i had a major abscess, He was able to address it conservatively and i didn’t feel a thing! Lisa was also great, she cleaned my teeth with no discomfort, and a had a great sense of humor! I came back again to Dr. Helmy with my son, he was very very professional and patient with him, he made him feel at ease and did the procedure without any pain! I definitely recommend this office!

Fantastic experience: This practice is truly amazing! I brought my mom here after her previous dentist told her she’d have to go without teeth for six months. From the very first call, Jennifer was incredibly kind and informative. To save time, I downloaded the paperwork from their website and completed it beforehand. This was a lifesaver since my mom has an extensive medical history that would have taken a long time to document in the office. When we arrived for our appointment, the staff noticed my mom was in a wheelchair and immediately held the door open for us. We were taken to the back right away, where Alex, the assistant, took her X-rays. After the examination, Dr. Mousa discussed all the options. We followed his recommendation, and my mom never had to spend a single day without teeth! All the extractions and implants were completed in one visit, and she walked out with her smile that same day. We returned a few months later for her permanent denture to fit over the implants. We’ve also been back a few times for minor adjustments, and they never charged us for those follow-ups. We are so grateful we found this place; they turned a difficult situation into a seamless experience. Highly recommend Dr. Mousa and his team!

If you do not have dental insurance, they have a family plan through their office and the cost is very low for the value. The hygenist was friendly and personable. I called and saw the dentist the same day. I thought I had a problem with a tooth. We have been going to this group for 4 years. They are very consistent and that is nice.

Jennifer, the receptionist said that her mother had her crowns done here and she would have hers done here if ever needed. The morning of my procedure I sat and cried in the chair full of fear. Now I have completed the work. It was a piece of cake. Tracy and the doctor are beyond the BEST in Ocala! I’m so happy to have found this wonderful Dentist. Please put all your anxiety aside. Negative experience: Went to this place and they wanted me to pay for x rays after I told them I have insurance I called insurance and they said they do and this dentist office still wanted me to pay I have insurance wear I pay 20 and insurance is 80 who ever does insurance claims for this. Office needs to fired I wouldn't recommend going here this place is very shady and pretty dirty

Negative experience: My child saw Dr Helmy. We were told they needed 7 fillings. I was in shock as they take great care of their teeth and havent missed a cleaning. I felt a little off with him doing them and can't exactly explain why. My mom gut was right. We got a second opinion with a doctor I trusted more right off the bat and she showed me that my child needs zero fillings. There were stains, not cavities. She showed me with her tool that there was absolutely no softness in any of the spots, only discoloration. My child would have gotten 7 unnecessary holes in her teeth from Dr Helmy. It is terrifying to think that he is giving this type of advice to his patients and people are believing him.

Fantastic experience: This dental practice is the best one I have found in Ocala after trying 3 other dentists. Everyone in the office is friendly and supportive. They actually answer their phone with a live person and are respectful of your time, making a great effort to get you in near your scheduled time. I recently had a cleaning which was very thorough and detected a problem. When Dr Mousa did the work on my tooth, he was very polite and professional. He was very gentle and even though the repair was in a difficult area, I had very minimal discomfort. I would highly recommend these people if you are looking for an experienced caring staff that is really concerned about you.

An exam by the dentist and just a little recommendation for treatment. The first time we had gone to an in network office because we expected to get a "hard sell" for unnecessary dental work.
