Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience with Pediatric Dentistry of Ocala! As a parent of an autistic child, I had so much anxiety about finding a dentist who would truly be patient, understanding, and compassionate with my son. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel comfortable and welcomed. They were incredibly patient with him, took their time, and showed so much kindness and understanding of his individual needs. I never felt like we were being rushed or that his needs were an inconvenience. Seeing my son comfortable, supported, and have such a positive first dental experience gave me such a sense of relief. And to top it all off, they made his first visit extra special by giving him a balloon and a cute “First Time at the Dentist” prop so we could take a family picture and capture the memory! That thoughtful little touch meant so much to us. Finding providers who understand that every child is different is truly a blessing, especially as a special needs parent. I am so grateful for the patience, compassion, and care they showed our family. We definitely found our son a dental home! ❤️

She is now 4 years old, and they have been so great with her - she looks forward to going to the dentist, which is such a big relief for me. Fantastic experience: All 3 of our children absolutely love coming here! We’ve been going for everything regarding mouth/teeth since they were born. From their first tooth, to a lip tie at 11 months, to a tongue tie at 2 months, and now to their routine cleanings. Our experience has been the same since day 1 and is consistently amazing. The whole staff has done a beautiful job building a safe space for our kids to feel comfortable and be helped and cared for. From the minute we walk in, to the moment we walk out, we are greeted with joy and kindness! I’m genuinely grateful for the unexplainable sense of peace that radiates from the detailed, gentle, intentional, thoughtful and thoroughly communicated experience in the chair with the dental hygienist/assistant and Dr. Raju. It always feels like such a personalized visit with the time that goes into making this a special experience for our children. They love seeing the familiar faces and always look forward to having the same staff as the last time. It feels like home where you can expect the same family members there each time. We are so blessed to call this our dentist!

Negative experience: It's taken me months to write this review. I want to start off by saying the doctor did call me herself the night after the procedure to make sure my daughter was ok. I believe it was a educational experience for her but sadly at my daughter's expense. My 9yo daughter had an extraction and was able to feel the whole thing. Knowing what this is supposed to look like since we have had to do this before, I warned the doctor quietly without my daughter seeing, that the pain was increasing as she proceeded with the procedure. She listened but then explained almost in an annoyance that it was best to keep going and not to stop so as to make the procedure faster and that the pain medicine was some new way of administering it and that she's been using it for a couple of years. Well, there was a point of no return and my daughter cried in the chair having to lay still and not move as she felt the tooth being dragged out of her gums. Both of us are traumatized by the experience and will never go back there. Moral of the story, the old way of administering meds is better for some patients and should always be made available as an option since there are actually patients that need more pain meds than others. Listen to the parents they know there child better than a doctor.

The staff was welcoming, The dental assistant was very engaging and fun with my child Throughout her procedure and the dentist was incredibly patient. They took their time, explained each step, and made sure my child felt comfortable throughout the entire visit. We had two extractions needed and I was nervous if they were going to be able to do it because our last experience at another office had made My daughter scared in the past. They were truly wonderful And You can tell they care about kids and making dental visits a positive experience. We look forward to going back for the remaining procedure. Highly recommend!

Dr. Raju is kind, considerate, gentle, and has a peace about her that makes the kids feel at ease. Margarita, at the front desk, is always extremely helpful and knowledgeable about everything we ask her. She goes out of her way to explain and walk us through the process. The other girls at the desk are kind and informative! The dental assistants were very gentle with our littles. Our children are able to be seen at the same time which is nice. They can get their checkups side by side! All the staff are incredible and make the dental experience not scary at all for the kids! I recommend this facility 100%.

Fantastic experience: The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Gayathri Raju is very patient with the kids. My youngest screams and cries with his appointments and she never rushes or seems frustrated. They also let you go into a big room with the kids while they get their teeth cleaned; unlike other offices where they make you stay in the waiting room. I can’t say enough good things about this office and how patient she is.

Fantastic experience: We are very pleased with Dr Raju and this office. Everyone is kind and respectful. The front desk staff is always pleasant and patient. The staff cleaning the kids teeth are warm and the kids love them. When we have had work done on the kids everything was explained throughout the whole process to us as well as to our kids. I had to have my 3 year old 2 front teeth removed and Dr Raju was compassionate about it. She explained everything and I was confident in knowing it would be best for my daughter. I would recommend this office to anyone looking pediatric dentist in the Ocala area! The kids love to go see the “elephant doctor” and play the floor game in the front !

They listened to my concerns and gave me homework to help my kids so that we can help their mouth biome prepare for their adult teeth. Fantastic experience: My son is 4 years old and level 3 autistic, I made a special needs appointment, this was the first dentist appointment he was not restrained or screaming in fear! The dentist was very patient, giving him breaks when he needed. She was fast pace and attentive. The assistants were also very friendly, professional, and fast paced as well! The front desk was full of information and super helpful! My favorite part of this appointment was her ability to give me information without belittling our situation or his dental struggles. I will be back every 6 months. Amazing establishment all around!

Negative experience: If I could put zero stars I would have. We lived in Ocala for a short time before returning back home to Massachusetts and I paid out of pocket for my 8 year old son to be seen here. The first visit I could already tell something wasn't right. He went for a cleaning and was told he needed 3 or 4 fillings. So because I knew I was going back to mass to his dentist in mass I would hold off on getting his teeth filled and plus I only had Massachusetts insurance so I would wait for it to be covered under the insurance. They would call my phone over and over telling me to book his appt for his filling because they are booking up and all this bullshit. I came back home and took him to his dentist to find out he didn't need any fillings. People beware these people are scam artists. It doesn't matter if you have free insurance or not it's the point that if your innocent child doesn't need work done to their teeth and they are trying to just make money and fill teeth that don't need work done thats terrible to do to a child. This place needs to be shut down!! If you go here go for a second opinion and I'm gonna guarantee your kid doesn't need as much work as they say.

Fantastic experience: Wow. They had so much patience for my 6 year old today. Let’s start by saying my daughters a sweet heart and loves people. She was terrified of her last dental appt at another office were she wasn’t treated well so she came in very tense and nervous. I was also nervous and worried about my child having a bad experience again. But we had a tech who first of all was super helpful and communicative with my child to help calm her nerves. And I mean my kid was crying and hyperventilating at one point because she was so scared (and this was only due to her last dental office experience!). Anyway, as the appt went on and Dr Raju came in to deep clean her teeth, she was so patient, thoughtful and helpful. She also got all of my child’s teeth clean and they look amazing. My daughter also believes she can do it thanks to the both of them and there care for her. Thank you again and see you all soon.

Negative experience: Went in about two weeks ago for a cleaning and it went wonderful! Dr. Raju was super sweet and my nurse was the absolute GOAT and wore silly socks like I do. Now here is where things take a not good turn... I (16F) have absolutely horrible anxiety with the dentist due to not only anxiety in general, but also PTSD. Unfortunately, I have a cavity from being unhygienic due to depression and mental health decline. So I was scheduled to get it done just before school starts (yay). Went in and they CANCELED MY APPOINTMENT?! Why? They couldn't take my insurance because they weren't accepting after July 31st (note: my cleaning appointment was prior to the date they weren't accepting it). They said they tried to message my mom about it and their changes with insurance, but plot twist is that my mom never got a message so they simply CANCELED THE APPOINTMENT WITHOUT TELLING US! Walked in and was put on Xanax so that I was easier to handle and now it was all for nothing. They offered an appointment at a different time the same day but with a silver filling instead of the white one they said that they would use AND WITHOUT THE INSURANCE IT WOULD BE TRIPLE THE PRICE COMPARED TO WITH IT!!! In conclusion, I will say that overall, it is a wonderful place for kids and teens with anxiety and/or new to the dentist, but I am absolutely distraught with how they handled my situation. I wish they had called my mom instead of simply messaging once and never trying to contact again and simply just canceling the appointment.

Fantastic experience: The staff is great. Dr. Raju is super sweet and great with the little ones. Appointment times are pretty spot on. My favorite is the reminders and the ability to complete 99% of the paperwork online before I even get there. My daughter loves the interactive game in the waiting room.

I was very nervous since he has had the same dentist since he was born. They were amazing with him. Walking him through what they were doing and engaging with him. My two year old keeps asking to go back to get her teeth cleaned so she can get the germs out and play with the teeth display that was also given to her while she waited for our infants appt to be done.

They allowed me to be involved the whole way which helped make my son comfortable and help the appointment go smoothly. Not a single cry out of my boy! Fantastic experience: So my boy has a fear of dentists and they completely changed his perspective today! From the front desk with Rebecca and Margarita to the back with Dr. Raju and Melanie who constantly check on him throughout the procedure and he gave thumbs up all through it! They’re technology was amazing no scary needle they used an instrument called “Soan” and he didn’t even flinch when they administered they Lidocaine. I’m so glad we found them thank you guys so much !

Fantastic experience: My 11 year old daughter had a horrific scooter accident one evening. She chipped her front tooth and had several lacerations and loose (adult) teeth. We were referred to Dr Raju by a friend. I called at night thinking she would never see us because we aren’t established with her. I left a message and she called us back immediately and saw my daughter the next morning. My daughter was in a great deal of pain, they made her feel so comfortable and eased her anxiety! Dr. Raju and staff were nothing short of amazing. We have decided to switch over to them for our kids permanent dentist. 10/10 would recommend these ladies.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Raju is the absolute best. We used to do to a dentist office that we didn’t care for the office staff at all. But she was so great we kept going. We were disappointed when she left, and finally decided to leave that office. Luckily, we called Pediatric Dentistry of Ocala and found that it was Dr. Raju who opened it. We were so excited and happy since then! Dr. Raju is so sweet with the kids, the office is efficient and quick. Dr. Raju is honest and doesn’t push unnecessary procedures. For example, when my daughter had a small cavity, she explained that her baby tooth would be falling out anytime. That we could wait until the next cleaning to see if it would fall out first since the cavity was so small. Many other dentists would have wanted to do a filling right away. I appreciate the honesty and her communication with me. She is easy to ask questions to and ask for advice and is so sweet and kind. Highly recommended!
