Fantastic experience: This was my first visit to Bloomingdale Dental Care. The facility was very clean, bright, and easy to find. The reception staff was exceptional. As far as the professional staff, I was initially met by Ashley. She was personable and professional. She explained the full sequence of events during my visit. Ashley is very considerate on how she handled patients while taking X-rays and setting up each phase of the visit. My hygienist, Lily, was exemplary with the deep cleaning that I needed. While performing the cleaning, she constantly checked to check on my well-being. I spoke with Dr Mohammed and she instilled a great deal of confidence. I was thoroughly impressed by Ashley and Lily because my appointment went smoothly and on time with great results.

Negative experience: Let me share my recent experience. I had a follow up cleaning appointment after deep cleaning. When the appointment was made on the day of deep cleaning, I was assured that the follow up cleaning would be covered by the insurance. On the day of cleaning, I checked in and assured the cleaning would be covered. Later, right before the cleaning, the hygienist assured me the cleaning would be covered. Hygienist was super nice and her work was completed in 30 minutes nicely. When I checked out, I was asked to pay for the cleaning. What happened in that 30 minutes? When I questioned, I was told that the yearly max was already hit and that is why I should pay. My BIG question is "why didn't they find that out before the cleaning" ? This is clearly TRICKING or CHEATING. How can I go to them for next service with confidence?

Negative experience: Horrified. I don't do Fluoride. Haven't for decades. Personal preference. It's a known neurotoxin and mental illness is prevalent in my family, so I stay away from harmful things as much as possible. I have always been asked if I want fluoride and I respectfully reject it. The hygienist never asked. She just put it in my mouth. I tasted something awful and asked to spit it out. I asked what that was and she admitted it was Fluoride. I said I don't do Fluoride and expected to be asked first. She replied "Do you drink coffee, well coffee has Fluoride." I was not aware that my life choices would be critiqued by my hygienist.

Negative experience: Our second visit here. I was told by the dental assistant at our first visit that my oldest daughter with her braces, in order to clean they "preffered" the wires to be removed to clean. Now we come in and they are refusing service citing "policy" that braces wires need to be removed. I had braces for 5 years and my wife the same and never had to have wires removed to have our teeth cleaned at the dentist. My daughter for multiple years now at our previous dentist and with no issues or requiring us to remove the wires. Thats okay you just lost 5 customers. Our original experience here was horrible so this just confirms we don't want to do business here.

Negative experience: I had multiple disappointing experiences at Bloomingdale Dental Care Valrico. Each time I was quoted a price for services, I later received additional charges that were not clearly explained upfront. I raised this concern during my visits, but the explanations I received did not feel reasonable or transparent. Most recently, I went in for a simple filling due to a chipped tooth. After the procedure, I was left with a noticeable gap between my teeth where food constantly gets stuck. This has caused gum irritation and discomfort when eating. I expressed my concern, but I did not feel that it was taken seriously or properly resolved. Based on my experience, I would not return and recommend others ask very detailed questions about pricing and expected outcomes before proceeding with treatment.

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit to Bloomingdale Dental Care .I have to say everyone from the front desk to Dr. Tanner were very friendly and professional.I have very high anxiety with dental visits and they made me feel so comfortable that I honestly had zero anxiety.I will recommend them to everyone and actually look forward to my next visit.Dr Tanner was amazing. Fantastic experience: This is the BEST dentist I have ever been to; the compassion throughout the entire staff is BEYOND OUTSTANDING! From the moment I walked in, nothing less than exceptional. I am terrified of the dentist and Megane was truly perfect in calming my nerves and just ensuring me all would be okay. Selina who worked on my teeth is truly heaven sent. She STAYED PAST HER SHIFT to make sure I was able to get all the work done to best suit my schedule as a single mom. I can not express my gratitude for this office and Megane and Selina. If you don’t go here, change your dentist.Selina is truly a walking angel and consistently goes above and beyond for the benefit of the patient.

Fantastic experience: I had my first appointment with this office 3/17/2025 and I am impressed with the service. The staff so far have been helpful in contacting me and calming my anxieties. The music played had me jump up at one point and dance. The doctor turned around behind the counter to see what I was doing. I laughed. I had a good time at the office. Fantastic experience: I am a 73 year old new patient and I was totally overwhelmed with Bloomingdale Dental Care. Walked in knowing I have a number of dental issues and they took me through a complete comprehensive exam. Selina the hygienist, who conducted the exam with Dr. Uma, the care I received was 10+. They identified and explained numerous procdeures to take place then put together a plan of action. Absolutely loved Selina, what a professional!!!

Fantastic experience: I decided to take a leap at Bloomingdale Dental since I had read pretty good reviews of them. I have to commend the service & communication at Bloomingdale Dental. I shared the fact that I had a high tolerance to dental numbing & anestesia in general per previous medical and dental experiences, hence my apprehension to getting any dental procedures done. Everyone listened to my concerns, special attention was made to my numbing before my procedure and there was great communication between all the techs. Pooja the hygienist was the absolute best. She cares, she listens, communicates and has a great hand! The promise to a pain free procedure was delivered and I am a happy camper at the outcome. I will surely recommend in future.

They made all the calls to get clearance from my doctor to make sure I could continue with the extraction. Dr. Tanner was amazing as well as Dr. Umo. He is above a 5 star rating! Also, I thank everyone at Bloomingdale Dental Care for excellent dental care and service my husband and I receive with every visit.

Positive experience: Everyone was very nice and friendly. The dentist seems to really care about the patients and wants to make sure he is doing everything he can for them. The issue was first appointment and I was there 2 1/2 hours for X-rays, checkup with dentist, and teeth cleaning. I thought that was excessive amount of time. My appt was 3 pm, got called back pretty quick, but by almost 5 pm when the cleaning started I was getting hungry and tired of being there for so long. Not sure if this is how long first appointments are these days but I personally have never had one last that long, until now, and I’ve had lots of first appointments at different dentists over the years. For now I’m holding off on my judgement until I go again to decide if I’ll stay there or not. If you are looking for friendly and caring workers this seems to be a good place, just make sure that, at least for your first appointment, you set aside a lot of time and patience because you might be there awhile.

Fantastic experience: I came here after experiencing a not great visit with another dentistry practice. From the first contact, everything was transparent financially and with all the professionals in the office from the front desk to the hygienist and the dentist/assistants. I felt very confident and comfortable getting my procedures done. Highly recommend and will be back for my checkups and any other procedures.

Negative experience: It was an okay experience. Today's visit was mediocre. I was upset they they waited to contact the insurance when I was there so I could get nothing done because they wasn't sure what the insurance would cover. I explained beforehand what I was coming in for. They were asking me about a crown as if I would keep up with when it was put in like I keep up with my menstrual cycle. Hell I don't know when crown was put in, I just know it came out.... smh a waste of my time today. I have visited several times before and was pleased with their service but today just wasn't a good visit. No one called today (1-7)to say what the insurance said or nothing. I made it known I wasn't in pain but uncomfortable

Negative experience: The last time I visited, the dentist checked my teeth before my visit wrapped up. During this week’s visit, the hygienist cleaned my teeth with no additional check from the dentist. This isn’t the level of care I expected when still paying the same price as last time.

Negative experience: Update. Dec 5 Called the office told them the crown fell out the next day, I was advised to buy the off the shelf dental cement till my appointment date. They couldn’t get the temp crown glued correctly twice so now I have to go buy it and DIY my own dental work. I made an appointment to get a crown checked because it was separating from the tooth. They informed me that both crowns(the one that is separating and the one next to it) needed to be fixed. The DR acknowledged that indeed it was separating .(October)A month goes by I went in to follow up on a crown that needed to be replaced. After making the appointment and explaining to them that I wanted the crown that was separating to be fixed. I sit down sign the paperwork. Half way through during a break I noticed that they are working on the wrong tooth. Not the one that has been causing me issues and separating but the other one they found. At this point I been sitting here since 8 am it’s now 9:15 and I told them before we started (I even called the day before to maker sure I would be out by then) that I had to be somewhere by 9:30. I asked the tech how this happen he of course has no answer, the DR walks in the techs asked him why we did this one instead of the other one the response. “The phone center staff are not in the business so they make mistakes when booking appointments ”. Now I am sitting here with 2 people looking at me like deers in the headlights like I am speaking a different language. Then comes the I am sorry we can make this right we will squeeze you in to get the right one done. Second visit I go to get delivery of the permanent crown and now they fix the one I originally came for. Well a few weeks go by the temp crown pops out while brushing my teeth. I call them up they fit me in for Monday. I go they put the temp crown back next day I am eating a mini chocolate donut and the temp crown comes out yet again. They have to finish the work but I will not be returning here. The only thing good was Priya.

Fantastic experience: I’ll admit, it’s been a while since I’ve had my teeth looked at. I was extremely nervous prior to going in and expected some negative comments about my teeth as I’ve previously had negative experiences at dental offices. Bloomingdale is NOT like that. They were fantastic. From the front desk, to the exam chair, to checking out. It all went so smoothly and they explained each step as they went along the process. My tech, Selina had such a warm energy and it felt as if a friend was sitting there chatting with me, taking away all of my previous anxieties. I was completely satisfied and would love to come back again!

Negative experience: The entire reason I made an appointment with this place was because I had a broken wisdom tooth that was extremely painful. I requested an emergency extraction, which they do not have the facilities to do. I was immediately offered Invisalign, just as my husband was on his first appointment. I was stupid enough to think it was a necessary treatment. The anxiety I had surrounding dentists is far worse than it was, thanks to some really awful clinical and office staff. Due to having my mouth filled with etching acid and not water (by Alejandra M Riera De Jesus in training and shaking so badly she couldn't help but hurt me), along with my cuts, bruises, and soft tissue tears, I missed 3 days work due to my injuries... not once was I told what was happening, no one informed me what IPR was, or what the attachments were. I had cuts and gashes inside my mouth, and on my gums from the attachment process, and multiple chemical burns, and the trainee (Alejandra M Riera De Jesus, DMD) forced the speculum into my face with such force that she split my lips on both sides of my mouth. I was given a Tropical Smoothie Cafe gift card as an apology. That was like a slap in the face to me. We had to move out of state, which prompted everyone in the office to assure me my Invisalign coverage would continue for 5 years. This turned out to be a lie. After trying to find Invisalign coverage in another state, I've found that they have NO RECORD OF ME OR MY INVISALIGN ID NUMBER. I have attachments and am due for at the very least a retainer. Will have to pay out of pocket to have my attachments removed, as I am apparently NOT an Invisalign patient. Even after filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of West Florida I was assured my Invisalign was covered. It is not! In the end I had to pay $200 to have my buttons/attachments removed or shell out another $2k for further treatment SINCE MY IPR WAS TOO EXTREME AND LEFT ME WITH HUGE GAPS IN MY BOTTOM FRONT TEETH. But after one night of not having an aligner (let alone the retainer I was promised and paid for) I have crooked bottom front teeth that hurt and have all shifted back to where they were. So, thousands of dollars wasted. Loads of pain and anxiety for absolutely nothing. The office also continued to charge my insurance for 3 months after I left the state, which I reported to them promptly. All the 5 star reviews are for shiny things and simple procedures. They are not prepared to deal with anything more than that seemingly. Another reason I'm thankful to be away from Florida. This is a shady business with shady practices, and Florida seems to be the perfect place for those.

Negative experience: The worst experience I ever had got there as they promised to do a special for $75 For Basic cleaning I have zero cavities in my mouth and is in great shape however they claimed I needed to do a deeper cleaning and hit me with a $1600 bill option or not to do it at all. Still made me pay $40 for the x-rays that I did didn’t want to do from the beginning. This office is a Complete rip off wouldn’t recommend anyone to go there Unless you want to get ripped off

Fantastic experience: Let's start with I was running late for my appointment, called to inform. Tina/Tracey, I think, was so pleasant. This set me at ease. Upon arrival, 9 minutes late. The office is very welcoming everyone greeted me. So my nerves are coming down. Griffin, and my hygienist/dental assistant (do not want to misspell her name) were awesome!! Dr. Tanner was straight forward with what needed to be done and the order to proceed. I will definitely be returning.

Fantastic experience: My daughter and I had our 1st appointment and we LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!! From the atmosphere to customer service. Everyone was so friendly with the x-rays, cleaning, receptionist, and the Dentist. I am so glad we decided to come here. I highly recommend this dental office.

Dr. Tanner is amazing and makes you feel every choose you have you are comfortable with and the expectations.
