Fantastic experience: Dr Koener and Shyann are absolutely the best. Even with a few surprises during a root canal, their compassion and explain everything as they go, I knew I was in wonderful hands.

Fantastic experience: The Dr and staff are excellent in explaining all your potions, I decided on having my cracked tooth with a crown removed rather than getting a Root canal to save a tooth that had a limited time of life left anyways, everyone there is excellent Next day, Dr Koerner is excellent, removed my tooth with no issues, and took the time to explain to me why it was a good decision, and as usual all of the staff including Pam are extremely knowledgeable, see everyone in 3 months to discuss my options for replacing 4 teeth ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Negative experience: What a disappointing experience and colossal waste of time. I made an appointment with this dental practice over three weeks ago and provided all of my personal and insurance information without issue. I arranged to have a babysitter watch my young child to go to my appointment only to be told upon arrival that I could not be found in my insurance portal and thus I could not be seen. This was after I was forced to check in on a tablet and then re-verify all of my information for my cell phone and also consent to my appointment being recorded for AI transcribing. I asked the receptionist, who did not seem to care very much about her job, maybe that’s why they have a tablet do everything, why no one called me to tell me that my insurance was an issue prior to my arrival. She stated she didn’t really know and had to ask. The office manager also told me she wouldn’t call my insurance to see what the issue was and that I needed to call my insurance and find out why it wasn’t able to be found, but I wouldn’t be seen today either way “because it usually takes a long time to get through to insurance.” This has not been an issue for me ever before and this dismal staff made no attempts to troubleshoot, resolve the problem, call themselves or do anything else, but the absolute bare minimum. With as many dental providers as there are in this area, it is shocking to me that this place can stay open. I would not recommend them to anyone but those who enjoy having their time wasted.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience here. The assistant, Nayomi, was very friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. All the staff were warm and contributed to a positive experience. I had multiple issues with my teeth, and both the doctor and the assistants ensured that everything was properly addressed and that the necessary treatments were carried out. I highly recommend Refresh Dental.

Positive experience: Pam, the receptionist, will attempt to work wonders to meet your scheduling needs. She is fantastic. I love Dr. Koerner too! She is top notch and listens to and addresses all concerns. The family is not so pleased with what seems to be a constant turnover of dental hygienists, although all are friendly, we would prefer to have more consistency and experience here.

Fantastic experience: The staff here are incredible! I’ve been a patient at Refresh Dental for several years, and their care remains top-tier. When I experienced sudden tooth pain over the weekend, Pam was able to fit me in for a same-day appointment on the Monday morning. Dr. Koerner’s exam was thorough and precise; she used several diagnostic steps to quickly identify the root cause. I was immediately referred to Dr. Thomas at Rochester Endodontics (who is also a gem!) for a root canal retreat. I was able to start antibiotics right away and have already scheduled my follow-up. The entire team—doctors, hygienists, and front desk—is friendly, accommodating, and efficient. I’ll definitely be coming here for the foreseeable future! ❤️

Fantastic experience: I have been to Refresh Dental in Rochester Hills for my dental care since several years. The dentists and the hygienists there are all skilled and professional, and the whole staff is very friendly, their customer care is really great. I would recommend this place to anybidy living in my area.

Negative experience: NOT GREAT! The dental hygienists here are the BEST part of the office - very thorough and professional - although, wish they were slotted more time for cleanings. They do the best in within the time limits they are given, which are probably based upon Insurance Company payment for their time. The negatives are with the scheduling and front office crew. Many rescheduling and/or billing issues have occurred throughout the few years I have been going there. Their third-party scheduling company is NOT good. Always recommend calling their front-desk directly or you will be confused... and so will the office. Unclear why they hire this outside company at all!

Fantastic experience: I am not one to normally write a review but for this specific instance I have too. This office has completely changed my life. After visiting multiple dentist over the years each one has only provided worse news due to the condition of my teeth to the point of losing hope all together. Dr. Koerner completely changed that! For the first time in over 5-6 years I can go in public and smile with out being completely embarrassed, she did such an amazing job restoring my teeth and not only was able to able to save my teeth that I have only been told they would need to be exacted (which the Dr did give me multiple different options and possibilities because every tooth in my mouth was in horrible condition due to a health condition of mine and we did not know what was going to occur until we started working on them) but they look absolutely amazing and they are not even fully complete yet. She went above and beyond and words can’t truly express how grateful I am. Not only did she do what I thought was going to be impossible for myself, she has also done an amazing job with 4 of my kids ranging from 8-14. My children previously went to a pediatric dentist whose work failed after only a few months and she has been able to get all of their teeth back to looking amazing. She is extremely thorough and walks you through each step and is honest up front giving you the best case and worse case scenario. She is up front and honest and she is works great with younger kids with her kindness and patience. My youngest has even expressed how she wants to become a dentist after having work done but also watching work being done to my other children and myself. Dr. Koerner could have just went and finished the job but because my youngest was so interested in the details and how everything was done, she took the extra time to explain and show her while she was working. The office staff is also extremely kind and helpful. Having been to quite a few dentist’s over the years and each one has had their own flaws I would recommend this office to everyone. The office is super clean and updated. There has been no surprise bills like I have had in previous dental offices. I would like to name individually but everyone in the office has been amazing. I was hesitant on taking my children to a dental office that wasn’t specially for children and I am extremely happy to have made the change. The positive encouragement by everyone in the office has my children going the extra mile at home with their own dental hygiene and they are proud to go back into the office to show them how well they are doing. Side note: while it is embarrassing I plan to provide before and after pictures of my own teeth once they are all done in a couple months.

Negative experience: Took my daughter here, had her teeth cleaned., done in 30 minutes, then she sat for an hour waiting for the dentist to check her for 30 seconds. Rude dentist

Fantastic experience: Dr K. Is the best. Had about 10 or 12 extractions all in the same day. Didn’t feel a thing. Like who goes to the dentist and doesn’t feel something, right? She did my dental work is 4 hrs putting in an upper plate. Amazing!!!!

Fantastic experience: Lost a crown at 9:30A, called Refresh Dental and was scheduled for 12 noon. Great service! New crown in 2 weeks. Crown installed on schedule.

Negative experience: My daughter never had a cavity got fillings she didn't need. The filling kept falling out four times once even in the chair. New dentist said they weren't needed. We were 30 year patients stayed with multiple ownership changes. We have moved to another dentist. No stars if I could.

Negative experience: The dentists and hygienists are nice enough, but the way they run business is ridiculous. Of the 4 appointments I’ve scheduled with them I think 3 of them have had to be cancelled or rescheduled. Today I walk in for my appointment and the receptionist says my appointment was cancelled. I said I didn’t receive anything that said it was cancelled. She said they sent an email a week ago. I attached photos of the emails I received, neither of which say cancelled ANYWHERE. In fact, one is an appointment confirmation saying they will see me. They didn’t even bother to call and leave a voicemail which would have been a much more direct way of communicating a cancellation. I am finding a new dentist.

Fantastic experience: I haven’t been to the dentist in a while (6-7 years!), and my experience so far has been so amazing! I was able to get an appointment as a new patient within less than one week, and experienced little to no pain during my deep cleaning and with Xrays and everything! The assistant Cheyanne, really helped me feel comfortable and helped with my anxiety! I really appreciated her comfort while getting my fillings done. Pam at the front desk is also very friendly! :) also the dentists!! Ive seen 2, and both were amazing!! Love my new dental office!!

Negative experience: So disappointing! On 02-27-24, I was seen in Rochester, Mi office for a crown that had come off 2 days previously, whereupon x-rays were taken and I was given a few treatment options by a Dr. Nihan Akhtar, one being a post & core and crown, which I opted for. I called the office when I got home to schedule a follow-up appointment with the dentist who had treated me in the past, Dr. Olga Yankelevich. Today I saw Dr. Olga and she informed me the base of that tooth and the wall was too thin to perform the proposed post&core procedure and that it would not last and I would be wasting my money. I graciously thanked her for her honesty and asked why Dr. Akhtar offered that to begin with and Dr. Olga said she did not know. I have been going to this dental office for over 40 years and when Dr. Steven Reynolds sold the business, the professional services began a downward slide and in my opinion it’s time for me to bailout. If Dr. Olga was full-time at this office, I might reconsider, but my only hope is to find a dentist with as much experience, knowledge, compassion and honesty as she has afforded me, my husband and most likely anyone who has been privileged to be her patient. I wish her nothing but the best life has to offer.

That staff (office manager and dentist)were rude, kept mixing up information, and I even had to remind them to to floss my teeth… the one step that almost everyone hears what they should be doing more when they go to the dentist. I will not be going back. The only good thing about that place is Pam at the front desk. She’s an angel and needs a raise for dealing with those people.
