Negative experience: Scheduled an appointment for me, my husband and our son a month ago just to be told that our appointment is cancelled because the hygienist went back to the Shelby location. Keep in mind I’ve never been to the Shelby location but I’m being told it’s my primary location. Ok that’s fine. But I spoke to two different people who told me two different things. I called and the receptionist I spoke with originally told me that our appointments were secure and would not be cancelled just to receive a call from someone named Lisa to tell me that they are in fact cancelled.

Positive experience: The dental hygienist who cleaned my teeth was excellent, but the clinic’s pricing policy is very disappointing. They keep changing the prices every time we visit. When I made the appointment over the phone, I was given a completely different estimate, and I was told the cost wouldn’t be too high. But when I arrived, the price suddenly jumped to nearly $3,000. Even after they “lowered” the price multiple times, it still ended up being a large amount just for a cleaning. I understand that costs can change, but the lack of consistency and transparency—especially compared to what I paid only a few months ago—is very frustrating.

Negative experience: Scheduled an appointment for 12/11, then the day after I got a call saying that the website is not accurate and your appointment has been deleted and the next available appointment is February, lol what a joke .

Negative experience: I feel like the office is very disorganized. I waited 90 minutes for my appointment after racing from work to get there on time.

Negative experience: This office overbooks appointments and you end up waiting forever. They didn’t notify me that my crown hadn’t been delivered so I drove to the office and had to wait 10 min before they told me they were going to need to reschedule. Appt #2- doc running between 3 patients so I sat for 2 hours only to find out the crown didn’t fit. Awaiting third appt in hopes that I won’t have to return. Ever.

Negative experience: Completely booked until next year for a cleaning! Receptionist basically said wait list isn’t even worth being added to.

Positive experience: Great dental office. Awesome staff, but this morning, the young lady at the front desk appeared to be in a bad mood, very unpleasant. You could tell she probably did not want to be there. No hello, no goodbye. The lady who does the billing even handed me the complimentary toothbrush and toothpaste. If this young lady is new, she needs to learn how to smile at least, instead of looking at her phone. Unusual for this office.

Attention to details, honesty, next steps and plans for patient care, referral for treatment which the in house doctor is not an expert in so that the patient gets the best results. Hygienist is gentle and has an eye for detail, is not hesitant in pointing out any issues. Thank you.

Positive experience: Love the people - hate the place!!! Chairs need to be repaired or replaced! The rooms could all be freshened up to be more inviting and comfortable. At my age a chair that “bites your bottom “ is not a plus! Please make it more inviting and less “close to closing down” , thank you. I keep coming back because of the people (especially Dentist) and convenience but not for the ambiance.

Fantastic experience: The staff at Great Expressions is so wonderful!! They are very friendly and put a smile on your face. They make sure you are seen almost immediately and that you are in and out quickly. The hygienists are very thorough and my teeth feel great after the cleaning. The dentist I saw was probably one of the friendliest doctors I’ve ever met. You can tell everyone cares for each other in the office. They all are very respectful to one another and to the patients. I’m glad to be a patient here, and I recommend it highly.

Fantastic experience: My appointment started exactly at the scheduled time which is important because I made it for 1st thing in the morning and I needed to get to work on time. They do excellent work and the staff is very friendly. I highly recommend this dental office!

Negative experience: In a word TERRIBLE! Walking in for the first time I could feel I wasn't welcomed there, however I was already in the middle of the invisalign process, which started with dr. Michelle Howarah at her previous location that happened to close when the owner died (no forwarding info I had to Google to find her). My invisalign was paid in full and she had the additional trays that was ordered before the office closed. So the trays were to be worn for 1 week after the last tray I had an appointment scheduled and the results are horrible (I look like a before picture after 2yrs of invisalign) due to her incompetence: the spaces are not closed at the top I have a piece of gum that is preventing closure, my bottom teeth were straight and she managed to make them lean, she rotated two teeth on the bottom so it now feels as if they're overlapping, she realigned my teeth so now my teeth in the front slice across each other when I eat and it's extremely painful and damaging, my jaw now pops when I eat or yawn, and finally I have a cavity that she neglected to mention or fill. When I told her about those issues she said "oh you can't tell that the gum is flapping between your front teeth, it doesn't look that bad!" As far as the other issues she literally stood there and just stared at me and told me after I already paid $5500 that there is nothing more she can do unless I pay more money to correct HER MISTAKES. For anyone who is considering invisalign please use this review as part of your research and find a different provider who is more caring and competent than this provider.

Negative experience: Very disappointed of the work that was done on my root canal. I paid so much money for it on top of what the insurance covered and the cab fell out after a few years. I called the main office to discuss and left 4 voicemails and no one called me back. I don’t recommend this company at all.

Negative experience: I didn’t like it today. I made an appointment to check my wisdom tooth , get some xr’s , get the dr’s opinion and get the referral for the specialist. They couldn’t do it because the dr wasn’t there the assistants can not do the referral nor the opinion. That I would need to come back next Friday to get the dr’s review . So, I don’t understand why the front desk scheduled me for this if they knew that the dr wouldn’t be there to get the purpose of my visit that she already knew too. A waist of time today.

Fantastic experience: It went quite well. I leased from January 2020 to October 2023. Despite some challenges during the COVID period, such as repairs, I understand those were tough times. Overall, I had positive experiences, and I received a full refund upon vacating the property.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Marc H., his assistant, Karen, & the secretary, were all SO KIND for my implant crown mold, on my Good Friday visit, 3/29/24. They make going to the dentist enjoyable. And, I left feeling so good about myself, with all the compliments I received from them. Who can say that about their dentist?! Best dentist office, EVER!

Negative experience: They try to force you to get additional procedures performed without your approval. Will not go back ever.

Negative experience: I went in for a teeth cleaning. The hygienist was so rough. She made my gums bleed so many times. Even after I left the office, I found blood stuck in between my teeth. Having swallowed the blood unintentionally made my stomach nauseous. I do not have any issues with my gums, no inflammation. This was all caused by the hygienist.

Fantastic experience: Dr Huetter informed me that the shadow / cavity on my back molar is very close to the nerve which likely would need a root canal and crown. Having never had one before I was worried so he asked if I’d rather try to do a filling. I appreciate his willingness to give options rather than pushing a procedure. Both kids like him too.

Especially thanks to hygienist Ms. Megan for her thorough cleaning service for my recent visit on Sept. 28, 2021! 2017 Review: We changed our dental to this Great Expression office about a year ago. Dr. Kang and her team are very impressive: easy to make appointment with reminding call before each service, skillful on treatments, very efficient, and also friendly. We are so pleased and happy about our decision of change to this dental office.
