Fantastic experience: I have many war stories from dentist since i was old enough to remember them. So with that said ... i don't give praise to dentists lightly. The Team at Hamamoto Dentistry is top notch. The office is very well run and the staff are outstanding.. not just because they are so nice and caring but because they have been well trained in what to do and how to do it.... right. My wife and I saw Ivy for our cleaning this week... we always request her. She actually makes going to the dentist fun... the entire staff is like a family but Ivy is not just fun, funny, and likes our dog's pix... she is fast, efficient and one of the best at what she does. It isn't about skipping the dentist... it's about missing a visit with our friends. Thank you Dr. Hamamoto and your wonderful team.

Negative experience: Highly unprofessional dental practice. Think twice before going here. 1) In first appointment they will just do X-rays, then they will schedule another 1 hour appointment just to talk to you about the treatment plan. They will not even do basic cleaning until 3rd appointment which is so unlike any other dental practice in the area. 2) Two times they moved my appointment 30 minutes before scheduled time. I am full time working and had taken time off to do their appointments and absolutely no professionalism is requesting reschedule with no respect for patients time.

Fantastic experience: Definitely would highly recommend this place! Margie is great and her staff are great! She is very honest straight forward and very sweet. I would honestly say this is the best dentist i’ve been to by far they actually take pics of all your teeth! Literally 1by1 I was sold!!!

Fantastic experience: Just finished a marathon, of sorts, with Dr. Hamamoto and her team. Any time over 1 hr. in a dentist's chair feels long to me so I report that the experience of double crowns could not have gone smoother. I felt cared for and treated with respect which continues to prompt review writing! This team is excellent in their expertise as a dental team, and the atmosphere in the practice makes it the best I've ever experienced. 5 Stars and deep appreciation.

Fantastic experience: Another fun visit at the Dentist.... you read that right! The staff are all so nice yet very well trained and organized that my wife and I actually enjoy our visits. That coming from someone that has a laundry list of bad experiences with dentists is really saying something. If you want to look and feel better then Hamamoto 's is where to be.

Fantastic experience: I started with this dentist last week since my regular dentist is booked so far out. This turned out being a huge win for me. I’ve never had such a thorough exam. When my last dentist told me that there was not a lot of hope for my genetic bone loss and that I’d inevitably lose my teeth, these folks said, hold on! You just need deep cleaning every three months. They also found teeth that could be spared with crowns. From the very first phone call with Margie, on a Saturday mind you, to the greeting by Jessica at reception, to the exam by Dr. Stephanie and Leah, to the cleaning by Ivy, I have been treated very well and the work is outstanding! They are a fun group; light hearted, but very efficient. I can’t express how grateful I am to have found them. This is my new Dentist office ☺️

Negative experience: Don't give me an option to book an emergency appointment as a new client and then call me right before my appointment to tell me you don't do emergencies on new clients... sounds like you guys just don't want to work.

Fantastic experience: I went in for my first comprehensive evaluation and expected to spend - 45 minutes as I would at other dentists. They definitely has gone far beyond what I expected and I was very impressed by the scope of the exam. It took over 2 hours. I have to say that this is by far the most comprehensive exam I have ever done. They are also very methodical on their approach. They do their homework and do not rush to conclusions or treatment. I like everyone I met today.

Negative experience: I’m not typically someone who leaves negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience at Hamamoto Dentistry. Unfortunately, it operates more like a mill, and each time I visited, I had to wait a long time before being seen. My most recent visit was for a filling, and I ended up in severe pain for weeks afterwards. Its been ~1 year since the filling and I experience chronic discomfort whenever I eat anything mildly hot or cold. I’m hesitant to return, especially after the rushed feeling during my last appointment when I asked to be finished within 1.5 hours. They also seemed to push products and additional appointments to maximize insurance claims. When I had questions about a large charge for a previous visit, I was told I’d have to wait 2-3 weeks for a call from the billing department with an itemized bill. I strongly recommend reading the lower-rated reviews and doing your research. I hope my experience helps others avoid a similar situation.

Fantastic experience: The people make all the difference. This was my first visit, and I must repeat that the people make all the difference. I encountered several employees as well as Stephanie Hamamoto, for whom the company is named, and found each of them to be overwhelmingly friendly and helpful. In addition, each of them are genuinely warm and filled with good humor (They got all my jokes). If you need a staff that will put you at ease from the very first visit, this is the right bunch. (Oh, and they're good at the dentistry stuff as well.)

Fantastic experience: It was great. What more can I say. You want details. Ivy was the hygienist and she x-rayed, she sonically cleaned, she poked around to make sure everything was clean, scraped, flossed, dug around my bridge and just in general was thorough, gentle and all around pleasant to be with. I wasn't the person with the best view, she was so we should also be asking her. Or maybe Dr. Stephanie who did an extraordinary thorough and exemplary oral exam. I was extremely pleased with everyone in the office.

Negative experience: Before I scheduled an appointment, I asked if they took my insurance. I specifically asked if they were in-network. They said yes and had my appointment. Afterwards, I received a large bill because they actually aren't in-network. Very upset. Edit: Hamamoto Dentistry contacted me about this review. They said that my insurance is wrong and that they are in-network. They haven't fixed anything or gotten my insurance to acknowledge them as in-network, but asked me to take down the review. Good reviews seem to take priority over customer service.

Fantastic experience: I came to Hamamoto Dentistry after many years of not going to dentists because of bad experiences and major anxiety. In all the time I have been going to them (almost two years now) they have been so compassionate and so caring that my anxiety around the dental procedures has reduced significantly. I just had my 1st crown put on and I was able to have the permanent crown put on without nitrous. I would 1000% recommend this office to anyone, no matter how bad your anxiety or the state of your dental care. They will take care of you with absolute compassion and excellent dental care. Trust me you'll feel so much better.

Fantastic experience: There was an error and they didn't have me down for an appt, but they got me in a chair for my cleaning anyway. They couldn't have been nicer. On top of that my wheelchair transport didn't arrive by the time they closed, so one of the employees cheerfully stayed with me for more than an hour til I could arrange different transportation. I tried to give the employee $20 for her kindness, but her mgr insisted she give it back. They went above and beyond!!

Fantastic experience: I started seeing Dr. Hamamoto 3 years ago after what had been an embarrassingly long absence from receiving dental care due to phobia and shame. She never made me feel bad about the state of my teeth, but instead put me at ease and walked me through the next steps to get my gums and teeth healthy. Margie did an excellent job of explaining my insurance and all potential costs of my treatment plan. I always knew what would be covered and what I would owe after each round of treatment. Sierra and Brooklynn have also been fantastic and always bring a smile to my face with their positive energy even though the first few appointments were very stressful for me. Once Dr. Hamamoto and Ivy, the dental hygienist who actually has me looking forward to cleanings now, got my gums and cavities under control, I began Invisalign treatment. After about 20 months of Invisalign, my treatment has just completed and I can honestly say they have changed my life. I feel confident in my smile for the first time in my life and no longer refuse to be photographed out of embarrassment of my teeth. I highly recommend Hamamoto dentistry.

Negative experience: Made an initial appointment and they told me they would accept my insurance. Then the day before told me they wouldn't accept my insurance. Then they kept contacting me with "when will you make an appointment" and "happy birthday" messages. They are the most unprofessional office I have ever contacted in my near 5 decades on this earth.

Fantastic experience: I've been a patient here for about 6 years and it's the best Dental team I've experienced. Ivy is an awesome Dental Hygienist and Sierra is fantastic with the many jobs she helps out with. Dr. Hamamoto is really knowledgeable and everyone else is great as well!

Fantastic experience: TL;DR: The team is amazing, and the clinic is well-organized. My husband and I have seen significant improvements since becoming patients a few months ago, so we highly recommend them. Meanwhile will recommend to my coworker and friends. Compared to my previous dentistry, I prefer Hamamoto Dentistry for several reasons: 1.They discuss the plans and fees for the next two years during a separate appointment, allowing us to have a clear overview and plan ahead. (Sierra did an excellent job explaining the whole plan and answering our questions). 2.The team members are highly experienced and incredibly patient. For instance, during my filling surgery, I caused some trouble for Yvonne, but she handled it smoothly. Another example, Ivy did a fantastic job during my deep cleaning, very gentle and I see big improvements since then. Very trustworthy team, kudos to other folks we have worked with, Anthony, Margie and of course doctor herself.

Dr. Hamamoto and her staff are outstanding— it was very easy to become a new patient this year and her team does a thorough job of answering questions and exploring options for the optimal dental treatments. Shoutout to Sierra and Anthony for making me laugh every time I speak to them and making the whole dentist experience so much more positive! Highly recommend due to their professionalism, cleanliness, and overall pleasant demeanor. She and her team are a well-oiled machine and provide high quality work!

Fantastic experience: I literally cannot recommend everyone at Hamamoto Dentistry enough. Around 2016, I needed to find a new dentist, but was terrified. I didn't have insurance most of my life, so I grew up going to dental clinics in which I always had a different dentist. I would always tell them that my body cycled through the numbing solution quickly, and for it to be effective, I needed more than usual. Of course, they wouldn't listen, and so I grew up thinking I just had to "bear" the pain that would inevitably come. We couldn't afford regular cleanings, so just about the only time I would go was when I was forced to because the pain from a new cavity became too much to bear. Thus, when I finally DID have insurance and had to find a new dentist, my anxiety was (understandably), incredibly high. I came to Hamamoto Dentistry at the recommendation of a former boss, trusting her word that they were amazing. I cannot stress enough how incredible everyone was--and has been ever since. I think that at the point I joined them I needed a root canal, and it was one of the first procedures I had done there. They gave me a warm blanket, took my heart rate, and numbed me up. Margie sat next to me with a compassionate hand on my shoulder the entire time, encouraging me to relax my shoulders as my entire body would tense. When I inevitably did cycle through the numbing agency (if I remember correctly, this procedure was a bit more difficult for some reason), they were quick to give me more, and were extremely kind and understanding. I cried afterwards (out of built-up emotions, not pain), and rather than feeling ashamed, I felt seen. Margie sat with me and told me how anxious she used to be about the dentist, and that she totally understood. In the future, they always extra numb me--and they even take preventative measures to stop halfway through and numb me just in case. I also opt in for nitrous oxide (laughing gas), which I never knew was an option before, to help ease my anxiety. No matter who I'm working with, they always take the time to explain to me exactly what they're doing, why certain procedures are important, and they never make me feel ashamed for my teeth. I learned that I have naturally thin enamel, and so am more prone to getting cavities. To help prevent it, I go in every 3 months for a cleaning with Ivy, who is literally the gentlest flosser I've ever had in my life. She checks in multiple times as the cleaning goes on to see how I'm doing (my gums are sensitive), and is so sweet and easy to talk to. (Not that I'm doing much talking with my mouth open lol) Dr. Hamamoto, too, is always so caring and attentive, and even remembers to ask about personal details I mentioned months prior. I'm now proud to say I no longer shake when going in, and when they ask me how I am, I can honestly say "doing well." If you're someone like me and the dentist freaks you out--do yourself a favor and go to Hamamoto! You won't be disappointed. <3

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Hamamoto Dentistry for years. I just had a visit today in fact. I can't stress enough how professional everyone is. The people that work here are genuinely nice people. That's very important to me. I'm someone who values customer service and order. I've never had a bad experience here. I even referred my mother here, which was feat itself. If you're looking for a dentist, you would be a FOOL to look any further, respectfully. I promise you, if this place wasn't anything to brag about, my review would be completely different.

Hamamoto Dentistry has given me the amount I would need to pay before any of my dental work was done. They are professional, thorough and found a lot of things that needed to be taken care of that my previous Dentist missed.The office has a "family feel", they are great with explanations and they listen to any concerns or questions I might have. I feel so lucky to find this Dental Office.

Fantastic experience: I just had my first treatment at Hamamoto Dentistry yesterday. I went in for my initial visit and they created a comprehensive plan for me in the upcoming months that started with having a filling replaced. The whole appointment took about 30 minutes - Dr. Hamamoto and Siera were so efficient and coordinated! I felt very comfortable and informed. The treatment plan is based around my overall dental health, and I'm grateful that they are looking ahead to stem off potential problems in the future. I would rather do small steps now and avoid big issues later!
