Fantastic experience: Had an appointment today with Dr. Bajana and Roxy. First thing I noticed was how thorough and comforting they both were. As a military vet in service dental work isn’t the most comfortable or pleasant. I shared my worries and they met my needs without complaint. The work performed was done with care in mind and to the highest of standards. No complaints here as they both gained a lifelong patient.

Fantastic experience: I am a guy that appreciates great customer service. I also appreciate people that are kind, thoughtful, considerate, and caring and humble. Dr. Buie and Kerstin have demonstrated these qualities to me. They take time to answer questions and just seem to have good rapport with their patients. Of course they also do great dental work. I strongly recommend this Dentistry, and commend Dr. Buie and Kerstin on their excellent care.

Negative experience: I am very disappointed with my experience at this office. We received inconsistent information from different providers about my husband’s treatment. Initially, we were told that both impacted wisdom teeth needed to be removed with bone grafts. Later, another provider said only one tooth would need a bone graft. When we finally met with the oral surgeon, she advised us not to remove the right impacted tooth because it was lying sideways, very close to the nerve, and could cause permanent numbness. We ended up removing only the left tooth. The billing was just as confusing. We were charged for one hour of IV anesthesia (four 15-minute units), but the timeline simply doesn’t add up. I left the treatment room at 1:03 PM, and my husband didn’t even have an IV yet. At 1:33 PM, a staff member told me the procedure was finished and asked me to bring the car around. My husband walked out at 1:45 PM. When I questioned the one-hour anesthesia charge, I was told it included recovery time. That explanation did not make sense to me, especially when the actual sedation time appeared to be much shorter. Patients deserve clear communication, consistent treatment recommendations, and accurate billing. I have requested a detailed explanation of the charges and hope the office will review and correct them. Until then, I cannot recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Buie is such a wonderful dentist. Her bedside manner is one of the best I have ever experienced from a healthcare provider. She is patient, courteous, and compassionate. She is a thorough dentist with an approach and treatment philosophy that appears to be rooted in a desire to provide quality care for patients. She is ethical and kind. She balances quality care with patient comfort in such a remarkable way. She genuinely wants to help her patients, she meets them where they are at mentally, in an obvious effort to avoid overwhelming a patient. She explains things clearly and considers long term sustainability for patients when assessing treatment. Her communication skills are absolutely wonderful! I cannot say enough good things about Dr Buie! I am so thankful I found her and 100% recommend her to others.

Negative experience: Horrible customer service, if you call their office they say they are putting you on a brief hold and that hold is not brief. We held for 10 minutes and they disconnected us. We called back and they wanted to "place us on a brief hold". You're on your own with Rockwall Modern Denistry.

Negative experience: Zero stars! This dental office felt like a CAR dealership-style sales operation (not a ‘healthcare provider’) as stated in the reviews I shouldve read before coming! Dr Parnell. Its all about $$$ . I came in expecting a routine cleaning covered by insurance, but instead I was pushed straight into a $500 “deep cleaning” and a long list of expensive treatments. It felt like basic, insurance-covered care wasn’t even an option unless you pushed back hard. I was told along with other procedures that felt unnecessary and excessive. Overall, the entire experience felt like aggressive UPSELLING and pressure tactics over patient care. I would strongly recommend going elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Longtime patient here (Dr. Steiger is my brother). This was my first appointment with Hailey as my hygienist and she was great. Hailey took time to walk me through what she was seeing, why it mattered, and exactly what I should be doing at home. Actual useful information, not just "floss more." Dr. Steiger runs a great practice, and Hailey is a wonderful part of it. Also grateful to the front desk staff who always take care of the administrative portion of the appointment efficiently.

Negative experience: This was my first visit to this office, and based on my experience, I won't return. I scheduled a cleaning and, when I checked in, the front desk confirmed my insurance coverage and told me the cleaning would be at no cost to me that day. After x-rays, the dentist came in, examined my teeth, and recommended an added laser treatment to “kill bacteria.” I asked whether that treatment was covered by insurance, and he said it was not. I told him I was not interested in non-covered add-on services and wanted to proceed with the cleaning I came in for. The visit became more concerning from there. The dentist pointed to a tooth with a prior root canal and said he believed there may be an infection. He said it might require another root canal or possibly an extraction, then asked me which option I wanted to pursue. I found that troubling because I am not a dentist and am not qualified to choose between major dental treatment options, especially when he also stated he was not sure either option would resolve the issue. That did not give me confidence in the treatment planning or communication. He also mentioned another tooth that may need a new crown and said the front desk would work up pricing for the different options. At that point, I asked whether we could simply proceed with the cleaning I had scheduled, since I had already been there about 45 minutes and had a schedule to keep. He agreed. A short time later, the same front desk employee came back and told me the cleaning the dentist had prescribed was not covered by my insurance and would cost $300. I said I was fine with the standard cleaning that had already been confirmed as covered when I checked in. I was then told the standard cleaning was no longer available because the dentist had prescribed a different cleaning. At that point, I left without receiving the cleaning I scheduled. I understand that dentists may recommend treatment beyond what insurance covers, and I understand that a dentist may determine a different type of cleaning is clinically appropriate. My issue is how this was communicated and handled. I was told at check-in that my cleaning was covered, then after declining non-covered services, I was told I could no longer receive the standard covered cleaning I came in for. I was not given a clear explanation I understood for why the covered cleaning could not be performed. I drove about an hour each way for this appointment, spent roughly three hours total dealing with it, and left without the basic service I scheduled. In my opinion, this visit did not feel straightforward or transparent. It felt like there was significant pressure around non-covered services, and I did not leave with confidence in the treatment planning or patient communication. I also submitted these concerns through the patient satisfaction survey the office sent me after the visit and did not receive a response. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this office to someone looking for clear, straightforward dental care.

Fantastic experience: I had a very positive experience going to Modern Rockwall Dentistry. I was able to get in very quickly on a day and time that worked with my work schedule. I was on a bit of a time crunch, and the team made sure I was out right on time. The dental hygienist, Dani, was also incredibly friendly! I had chipped my back tooth, which I was really worried about since we do not have great dental insurance. Dr. Steiger walked me through each step of the evaluation and gave me practical options for fixing my tooth, all while keeping my long-term overall health in mind. I felt well taken care of, and I will definitely be recommending them and returning myself.

Fantastic experience: I saw Dr. Buie today and had a genuinely great experience. She was extremely informative, walked me through everything before doing it, and made sure I felt comfortable the entire time. I never felt rushed or unsure about what was happening. I can’t remember my hygienist’s name, but she was just as kind and professional. From booking to check-out, the entire office treated me with respect and professionalism. That’s not something I take lightly, especially after less positive experiences with other dental offices in town. Dr. Buie and her team set a high standard. I’d absolutely recommend them.

Fantastic experience: First off, I HATE dentists, HATE them. This place has completely changed that for me. Dr Stetser was immediately a partner with me not a top down jerk, he was kind and made me feel at ease and not a giant dollar sign in his eyes. The hygienist was the same. I HATE going but today has given me some pause and has made me look “forward” to my next appt. Great job guys, please keep doing it this way.

Negative experience: I left work early yesterday to come in for my cleaning and to have my tooth fixed as it is chipped. My appointment was at 4:30, I arrived early and waited until 5:10 in the waiting room to get my X-rays done. After 40 minutes in the waiting room, I was taken back to xrays. Once my X-rays were completed 10 minutes later, I was placed in a room where I then sat for another 40 minutes where nobody came to check on me or update me on when the Dr would be seeing me. At 6pm, I decided I was done waiting and went to the front to let the receptionist know I would not be waiting any longer and need to be rescheduled. I left a busy day at work to get my tooth fixed/teeth cleaned only to wait at the dentist for an hour and a half without anyone touching my teeth and having gone home frustrated. The only reason I rescheduled instead of taking my business elsewhere is because they have my dental records on file and I don’t have time for the hassle. Additionally, upon going to leave an honest review about my experience, I noticed that a 5 star review had been dishonestly written on my behalf yesterday when I would have never done that in the first place. That is extremely shady and I am not impressed.

Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience with my oral hygienist, Jaklyn, at Rockwall Modern Dentistry under Dr. Steiger. I usually have dental anxiety, but she used nitrous oxide in such a calm and professional way that the entire visit was surprisingly relaxing. She was kind, attentive, and extremely professional throughout the appointment. Jacqueline truly made a normally stressful visit a positive one, and I’m very grateful for her outstanding care!

Fantastic experience: One of the best dentist I have ever been too! They drove during the winter storm to see me , did a procedure on me same day. During they talked me through every step and made me so comfortable. I had some pain and issues after , I sent a message through the portal and Dr.Steiger messaged me back within 20 minutes and they called me on the phone to speak with me. Would highly recommend , they are the nicest most helpful office!

Fantastic experience: If you were going to read one review only, this is the one! I just want to say that Dr. Parnell is the greatest!!!!!! I am borderline psychotic about my teeth. And by borderline I mean absolutely could be diagnosed in an instant. They are the first thing you see and you only get one set! I am also an ICU nurse so I have seen lots of crazy things health wise. I have always been blessed with straight teeth and worked really hard to keep them healthy and white. Over the past year I had a life changing injury that has affected my entire body, including large amount of inflammation in my mouth. She has worked through it with me with grace and personal attention, including cleaning my teeth herself each time for continuity of care. I know she could tell me she was too busy and could let the hygienist do it, but she chose to continue doing it herself. I also faced an unimaginable family emergency. She met me with love and grace when I had to write a letter to her explaining I wasn’t compliant with my treatment plan (very hard for a nurse to not be compliant) because I couldn’t say the words out loud. Together, we made a new plan.Today I cracked my front tooth and saw her with much resistance and FEAR because I am absolutely vain about my smile and was TERRIFIED of a filling that was noticeable. All I could imagine was my my front tooth looking like a giant Chiclet!!! BUT She color matched me PERFECTLY!!!!!!! I could not be more thankful. Dr. Purnell. Your compassion over the years has made all the difference to me and I strongly recommend this practice!

Negative experience: Do not come here for composite fillings. I had came and was suggested get a worn/chipped spot filled on my tooth. I did it 5 weeks ago and have lived with regret ever since. The dentist can not seem to make it look correct or natural, thus the 5 adjustments I've had since then. She either shaved part of my neighbor tooth on accident or put excess bonding material there and now the neighbor tooth does not look natural either. I was gaslit into believing that my tooth looked like that before but it JUST DIDNT! I've looked at hundreds of photos and SOMETHING HAPPENED to that neighbor tooth whether she wants to admit it or not. She is frustrated with me and said nothing she does will make me happy but these are literally my FRONT TEETH! My mental health and confidence has severely declined due to this and it has caused an immense amount of stress. I've considered having every bit of filling material removed from the tooth, but I'm afraid it's too far gone and she did not recommend that I do this. I really want them to make this right, but the staff seems annoyed to see me.

Fantastic experience: I went in last Friday for emergency dental work because I was in so much pain. Even though they had a full day they still worked with me to fit me in and made me feel right at home and not like I was a burden at all. The staff as always was extremely friendly and did everything they could to ease the pain during the initial x rays and examination, and then they were able to immediately do the work for me as well and provided much, much needed relief. Dr. Le was able to comfort me and explain everything that needed to happen and also WHY it needed to happen, and was willing to answer all my questions in depth without ever rushing me or making me feel like I was wasting time. I ended up having 2 extractions and a cap on another tooth, and let me tell you if you're one who is prone to dental anxiety this is the place to be because they will help you feel confident and relaxed while everything is getting handled. 10/10 Thank you so much for helping me!

Fantastic experience: I had surgery with Dr Karim on 5/6/25. First of all, she did a great job and I feel much better! But just as importantly, the staff was outstanding! On 5/6 Rockwall had a torrential downpour and the staff got a wheelchair for me due to my sedation and they helped me out to the car. There was at least 3 staff members and they had to be soaked while keeping me dry and safe! Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Excellent service and when I say this, I mean because she was very educational in my teenage daughter and not just by telling her verbally, but by showing her what she was saying, I believe this is different from other Dentist I’ve been to because it’s one thing to just say something and it’s another to actually show them. So Dentist Le I recommend to all!

Negative experience: Look at your bills everyone. They charge you $95.00 for “Oral Hygiene Instructions”. They are literally price gouging their customers. It’s sickening. (Hey make sure you brush your teeth, that will be $95.)

Fantastic experience: The staff is wonderful! They took excellent care of my daughter during her wisdom teeth extraction. Dr. Cartrite is excellent and truly cares for her patients. I highly recommend their services.

Negative experience: Terrible money hungry dentist. Went there for a cleaning and they wanted me to get a deep cleaning. I walked out since I knew I didn’t need one. Went to mirror lake dental for a second opinion and they told me a deep cleaning was not needed and that they were just trying to get money from me since insurance won’t cover services I don’t need. Definitely be careful and always get a second opinion. If you are looking for a new dentist I would not recommend. Go to mirror lake instead :)

Negative experience: The front office service is the worst! They clearly don’t value your time. I arrived on time for my appointment, but they made me wait to check in while letting others who arrived later go ahead. By the time they finally called me, it was already past my appointment time. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful. I will not be returning!

Fantastic experience: This dental office is truly the best! The hygienists are all so nice & caring & seem to actually want to work there. They are happy to help you. The front desk staff has always been kind too. I’ve been a patient here now 2.5 years. They have always been accurate on what I will owe too. I see Dr. Parnell and love her! They also usually run on schedule no long waits.

Fantastic experience: If I could give more stars, I would!!! I highly recommend anyone who needs any type of dental work to go to this place! I was traveling through the area and a crown came off. I found this place on Google, and it had great reviews, so I drove there. From the time that I walked in, everyone was so nice and attentive. Got me right in without having a appointment. The people, who I wish that I knew their names, were extremely nice... and did amazing work! So much so, that if I'm ever in the area and I need anything done again, they will most definitely be my place to go. Excellent service, excellent staff... I had a bad experience 15 years ago and was very fearful of a dentist visit, this office made me feel comfortable and made my visit non judgmental for not going for as long as I did. Highly recommended from someone who was scared and fearful. This team made me feel so much better! Thanks for providing me with a great experience !

Negative experience: Save yourself the money and pain! I went here for a toothache about 5-6 months ago and the dentist recommended that I get a $2800 root canal. I went ahead and agreed to it but what a bad decision that was! The root canal process was in two parts, the dentist started the cleaning phase the first day and then I went back to see the endodontist for the second part. I was not in severe pain after the first initial treatment, it was after the second that the pain got intense and hasn’t stopped! I went back into the office for four post op visits and they could care less that I was in pain, they told me it was the “healing process” and to take steroids and antibiotics just to be safe. Well after the 4th post- op visit I decided it was time to get a second opinion, which was another $550! My new dentist referred me to another endodontist and that landed me another $600 bill, but I finally got the answers I’ve been looking for… I need to have surgery above gums where they did the root canal because my bone is out of place and sticking up-almost out of my upper gums-next to my nose! I can’t even touch my face without being in severe pain and the pain never goes away, and this all started the day that I got my crown!! When they put my crown on, it pushed my bone up which caused me to scream from the instant nerve like pressure that shot up in my face! I thought they hit a nerve that lead into my face, they proceeded to tell me that “my gums are just sensitive”. This pain started then and has not stopped since then. This pain is worse than the original toothache and will also cost me another $2300 for surgery and $1700 for the anesthesia. I have been in contact with Annie at Modern dentistry (the manager) for months on months, trying to get my money back, and they never call me back! Annie has sent emails to the dentist and the endodontist about this issue, note; this has been going on for a good five months!! I still haven’t received a response and it’s been a very long time! They do not care if you are in pain and apparently aren’t capable of telling you what is wrong. Do not go to see this endodontist because he doesn’t have the resources to treat you properly! I had to go to Dallas to get a professional and legitimate consultation and a proper diagnosis/treatment plan. Why even go to Modern dentistry if they can’t even diagnose you and they don’t take responsibility when they damage your mouth? It’s insane to me!!! I have tried giving them time to handle this properly and they aren’t going to. So now I will just warn you guys! No person deserves this treatment and no one deserves to be left in worse condition after spending $3000 on a root canal. They caused this bone to be out of place and they will not hold themselves accountable. They never even tried to help me resolve the pain that I am in. It’s been a terrible experience that has now lead me into having to have a surgery and being in pain for a long period of time. And the Dallas Endodontist could see as clear as day that my bone is sticking out on the X-rays, as well as feeling the bone with his finger and seeing it bulge out with his eyes! Please save yourself the money and time because this place doesn’t care about our wellbeing at all!!

Fantastic experience: Jaklyn McKinn, the hygienist, gave such a great service. I highly recommend her. She will make sure you are comfortable during the cleaning processes. Macey Cartrite, oral surgeon, and Chelsea, the lead assistant and her team definitely did an amazing job on removing my wisdom teeth(s) and making sure that I was taken care of. The dental assistant, Adan, was very helpful and guided me through questions I had prior to the start of either of my appointments. I highly recommend this clinic as the staff and atmosphere is very friendly.

Fantastic experience: This is by far the best dentist I have visited. I’m a new patient and with the experience I have decided to have Modern Dentistry here in Rockwall as my Family Destist. The scheduling was seamless, staffs were polite and the hygienist (Jaklyn) that performed my procedure was exceptional. Overall experience was 10/10.

Negative experience: Had the worst dental experience of my life. My family and I have been coming here for years, I've had a few root canals done here. Needed another recently, new doctor, and what seemed to be a new dental assistant who seemed incompetent. I had some numbling substance seep into the back of my throat where I swallowed accidentally because suction wasn't going. I ended up choking severely and my throat had a burning sensation. Needless to say, I won't be coming back neither will my family. Unfortunately it only takes one bad experience to wipe away all the good experiences from past years.

My husband recently died and I just been out to his grave and I just wanted to get my cleaning done and over with and they weren’t quickly to get me in and out because my anxiety was so bad and I was crying so hard. I appreciate how hard and kind everyone was towards me.

Fantastic experience: i called to get information about wisdom teeth removal and sole helped me so much and was so kind helpful and patient and even called other locations to see if they had availability for me sole was amazing

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Parnell, Dr. Steiger and Dr. Cartrite, along with their staff. I’ve had some major procedures done by them, They have been professional, kind, compassionate, and explained every aspect of each procedure. I am one of those people who are terrified of going to the dentist. They have been able to put me at ease and make me comfortable at each visit and i appreciate them so much for that.

Negative experience: I just found a bill for my son that they sent for imaging that should have been covered. They tried the same deep cleaning scam as one of the other reviews. My son went to a different dentist, and a regular cleaning is all that was needed. Trying to take advantage of young adults. Every year, random fees just show up. Stay away from this place!

Negative experience: I wouldn’t use this dentist office for Ortho! The staff is nice but they don’t know what they are doing when it comes to Ortho. I wore metal braces for two years and when the braces finally came off my top and bottom teeth both flared out. I was told I would need to end up taking out two teeth and then go and pay more money to do the Invisalign since I didn’t want the metal braces again. I spent $4,500 on metal braces, there was no way I was giving them more money for something they should have been proactive at doing in the first place. There is a reason why X-rays and treatment plans are done, to plan on what needs to get done to get straight teeth! To add, the trays they gave me sucked and didn’t match my flared teeth! I’m still embarrassed of my teeth and won’t show them due to the ugly flare. I hope this review helps others not to make the same mistake when choosing this place for any Ortho work.

Fantastic experience: OMG! Have you ever gone to a dentist to have a tooth/teeth pulled and the dentist was so good that you didn’t even know they had pulled your tooth already? Well, this one right here is where it’s at. When I had that experience, I wanted them to pull all of my teeth. This place was my best experience ever when it came to pull in my teeth. A+ for a job very well done. I cannot thank them enough but, what I will be doing is returning for all my dental needs. Thank you, Mari Jingwa

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Le!!!! She convinced a 52 year old man that hates dentists to give her a shot. Along with Dr. Cartwright if they had been my dentists before I probably wouldn’t have dentures. Dr. Le THANK YOU for restoring a bit of hope to me!

Negative experience: I called ahead of time to make sure I was in network with their office. I was told yes. I get to the office and even though everyone was great. The services were high! I asked was my insurance covering anything and was still told yes. I didn’t go back to that office because I spent more than $500 for a deep cleaning. I went to another office and found out how much my insurance truly covers ($100 for a deep cleaning). I will not be returning for any services here because the people are dishonest and do not tell the truth about being in or out of network. I do not recommend coming to this office.

Fantastic experience: First time patient here and was extremely happy with my dentist Amanda Le and the hygienist. They have great bedside manner and were easy to talk to. They both genuinely seemed like they enjoyed being there. They go over all the estimated prices prior to doing any work so there are so surprises and let you pick and choose what you’d like worked on today after the initial examination. Will definitely be coming back.

Fantastic experience: I had to travel almost an hour to get to this place due to my insurance but it was well worth it. Victoria Tountas is an incredible endodontist and the receptionists, hygienist, doctor, and aids were kind and reassuring. I came in with a damaged tooth and they were able to fix it with a root canal and same day CEREC crown. I feel blessed to have been able to get my tooth fixed so quickly but I'm sad to have learned Victoria will be moving from this office very soon.

Negative experience: Very satisfied with dentists and their care, but unfortuneately the front office admin was not able to obtain the correct est patient portion for my innetwork insurance provider of covered benefit/services at time of visit & future treatment plan services. Verified with my insurance carrier after first visit that some covered service patient out of pocket portions were 50% or more higher than they should have been. The problem was RMD would not initially cancel & credit back charged amount per my less than 24hr request to do so. This was for services not delivered at time of visit; an implant crown/abbutment that takes 4-5 weeks to fabricate at an outsourced lab & impressions taken at RMD had not even made it out the door yet. Only after making my visited RMD dentist aware of the issue did RMD front admin acknowleged my cancel/credit request to my satisfaction. My advice to anyone choosing RMD using insurance, first request a pre authorization directly from the insurance carrier before agreeing to any treatment, payment & scheduling. For anyone trying to resolve an unresolved issue outside the locations front desk directly to overseeing Smile Generation, good luck for I found them to be unreachable by design.

Fantastic experience: I am very afraid of dentists because of bad past experiences and this place has truly bent over backwards to make me comfortable. They care not only about your teeth but also about you as a person.

Fantastic experience: Amazing office, all the technology is new and the dentists are amazing, Dr.Parnell did my exam and cleaning and made me feel comfortable! She was also very educational and thorough, her rda Don was amazing as well made x-rays a breeze. 10/10 would recommend!

Fantastic experience: My hygienist was awesome. Super gentle and she did a great deep cleaning. Very attentive and friendly. Dr Seteifer is also. Great care and a supper staff.

Negative experience: I recently had to go in because my crown had came off and was lost. They could not do my crown the same day because their machine had broken down took about a week to get rescheduled to come back in to have my crown put on when I arrived, my crown was not made yet, but also when they offered me the crown, they did not explain that there was two different types of crowns, one which the insurance would cover most of and the one that they installed that I ended up paying three times for this was not explained to me, so when I called questioning it I felt that they should’ve made it right by giving me a discount I was told in two different occasions that a manager would call me about the situation nobody ever called me back so for anybody that goes to Rockwall Modern Dentistry I highly suggest you make sure and ask them if insurance covers this Because they will not let you know what the insurance is covering and not covering. They also tried to get me to Pay for a fluoride treatment on my routine cleaning they did not explain that insurance does not cover this and I had a choice. They just automatically said hey there’s amount dollars due and I said what is this I’ve never had to pay for it before on any of my cleanings they said insurance doesn’t cover it I was like OK well then I don’t want it so if I had not asked about the Floyd they would’ve charged me for something I did not need. I am 54 years old and I’ve never had a cavity does it sound like I need fluoride I think not.

Negative experience: Dr Le is a great dentist but the communication between the office, call center, and the patient is terrible! I’ve been trying to get some dental work done for almost a year and it’s still not done because of them!

Fantastic experience: Excellent work on an emergency root canal by Dr. V. Parnell and Alezia with the assist. And my endodontist Dr. V Tountas with Axel assisting. 10 out of 10. I do have anxiety and they made sure I was comfortable and explained every step. A spirit of excellence for sure!!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Parnell and her staff are very precise and professional. They provide excellent care and educated me and my daughter Taylor who also see Dr Parnell on dental findings and solutions. The dental office staff are very nice and help you arrange appointments and dental payments that best fixes your budget. I recommend them for families that are looking to get great dental care. Negative experience: Extremely upset on how they handled our billing especially after my husband went through the extensive length of crossing his t's and doting his "i's before having his painful tooth pulled. Now after Rockwall and Humana can't work out a difference of $175 and is now our fault this amount wasn't paid - This dentistry is requesting my husband to pay this amount. What is the purpose of going through hoops to assure a tooth extraction is going to be covered and paid if you don't give all the codes and get preauthorization beforehand. Or you don't do the work needed in the customer's defense. WE did everything - my husband called Humana, ask for medical and dental approval, got approved by an associate, documented their representatives name, got a call from the dentistry that they were still outside of the approval. Okay, so, my husband had to call Humana again and explain he had his entire face was damaged and repair of teeth and jaw - this was also a medical necessary procedure. After hours, it was approved, he documented their name, day, and time and contacted Rockwall dentistry that they could pursue the approval once again. They did and they said they had everything needed. Now it's weeks later, he now schedules the date to remove and told us all was approved and owed zero. Well now it's he said, and she said event. Health insurance is blaming it on us, and dentistry is blaming on them. I've already submitted paperwork on behalf on my husband and it's apparent it should be 100% paid. In good faith, it should be removed. I think it's a shame that the dentistry is aware of the extent and length I have been through demonstrating the patient did everything necessary, and Humana should pay. It's nearly a year now, and Rockwall is still sending my husband the bill, after the numerous letters and calls to Humana to pay the bill. After speaking with Annie Mehrten | Operations Manager for months and asking to cease the bill and help my husband and I to have Humana pay and know it's not our fault - They now insist that we pay $175 because we owe them (knowing it is not our fault) and we were diligent of having it approved prior to his appointment. I have asked that they write this off knowing this is the right thing to do, and that as the consumer and expediting and working so hard to have them paid (it's only in Good Faith) but that is not the case. It's very unfortunate that this dentistry doesn't see the irony in an individual going through great lengths to do what is right to be expected to pay money when he is both disabled mentally and physically. That is why I give them 1 star. To anyone who wants to know what they may be instore for - Be sure to document everything and don't be surprised to receive a bill from them. Greedy establishments.

Negative experience: The surgery itself was great and the team did great with my anxiety. I did have to call to get a step by step of aftercare and the doctor made it seem like I was an inconvenience except she was the one who failed to instruct me of aftercare. They can’t expect guest to remember all the information and then be sedated… When I called the surgeon she finally answered and asked if it was an emergency, Obviously! I had major surgery without aftercare. An additional hesitation of returning would be having to deal with the very impolite receptionist Heather. Heather’s customer service was very sarcastic and rude. Her attitude just screams privilege entitled. When I asked for her information she still had an attitude and was sarcastic with her response. Even her phone etiquette is discourteous. She was also grossly harsh to the staff in front of guest when they requested help with paperwork. She seems to be involved in a lot at the office but kindness carries more especially with new anxious patients on surgery day.

Fantastic experience: Finding this office and Dr. Karim was a blessing. I had received an outrageous price for periodontal treatment at another office. Dr. Karim had a good understanding of what I need and she was very thorough and caring. The office staff was amazing as well. I received a reasonably priced treatment plan and am moving forward with it. I felt a weight was lifted off my shoulders after visiting this office.

Fantastic experience: I am very pleased with Rockwall Modern Dentistry. All of the staff are very professional and friendly. The dentist and the dental hygienists have been wonderful every time they have seen me.

Negative experience: I had previously given Modern Dentistry 5 stars , I am now editing that to 2 stars ...... I went there for about two years , just went to get the "free cleanings insurance covered" (but they talked me into the "deep cleaning" *and maybe , technically , I needed it) , and I did feel like they were doing a good job and nice people , but of course felt some "upselling" going on , however I went ahead , got the deep cleaning , the heavy duty cleaning .... Now , after all of that , my teeth are quite sensitive , I have a cracked back tooth (Not going to firmly say that is their fault , but it's just weird how this happened) , anyway , I have several sensitive teeth and I now I need a crown on my back molar ..... I ain't happy with the results of two years going to the dentist there , I won't be going back , I just know one thing for sure , NO ONE TOLD ME "this deep cleaning might make your teeth sensitive to cold" , and my cracked molar hurts like the dickens if I bite the wrong thing , I pretty much have to chew on ONE SIDE now ..... I cannot say for sure , but I have suspicions that "sonic blaster" thing used to break up tartar can ALSO "crack a tooth" , just my gut feeling because I DO somewhat understand "Physics" and how vibrations and frequencies can crack "hard brittle objects" like tartar , and MAYBE TEETH .... I will not say "they broke my tooth for surety" , I just have some suspicions , and this is NOT "trolling because I dislike someone" , I actually liked those people , but I am not happy with my results ..... I wish I had never gotten the deep cleaning , let's put it that way , and I am looking for another dentist now to hopefully fix this mess ..... I really hate to give 'em a lousy review , but this is how I feel about that place , whether right or wrong , this is what I feel happened , the deep cleaning now allows air to get to my nerves , and that sonic blaster (or whatever it is) was maybe turned to high and cracked my tooth .... and when I told them about this , they gave me "Sensodyne Toothpaste" ... "Here , use this" ..... She did want to put a crown on my back tooth , but I didn't have the money really because I had major truck repairs coming , and teeth are important , but not if your car can't get you to work and you go broke !!!!! and the whole thing was just "weird" to me , had a gut feeling "something wasn't right and they knew they cracked my tooth" ... THAT is what I felt was happening , and I COULD be wrong on that ... Nevertheless , not going back , I was NOT TOLD "what might could happen" with a deep cleaning , I would have not done it , I've had "tartar below the gumline" for 20 years probably , at least my teeth weren't sensitive like they are now , it's PAINFULL to eat ice cream !!!!!!! I can't do it !!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Hands down the best dental experience I’ve EVER had. They offered sedation dentistry for the root canal’s and crowns I had done. I hardly felt anything, which was a far different and BETTER experience than I had with a root canal and crown I had done at a different dentist. Dr. Amanda Le was phenomenal and had great bedside manner from the initial appointment to the date of service. I will be a lifelong patient. So glad I found them!

Fantastic experience: I called on Monday and they saw me on Saturday. I came in early and they said to sign the paperwork and sit down. I sat for about ten minutes and then they calledv me back to cleaning my teeth. The dentist check and cleaned my teeth and the young dentist used the floss and then he polished them. This is the first time I’ve haven’t chocked on the water and I don’t have any grit or taste of the polish left in my mouth.

Negative experience: Our family of 6 has been going to Dr. Steiger since we moved to Rockwall 10 years ago and have always loved him, the staff and office on the other hand are a different story. Over the years, it has really gone downhill. We all have " no fluoride" on our charts, yet 3 times my kids have " accidentally " been given fluoride treatments. When they see other dentist in the practice, they suddenly have cavities that need filling. They have become like car salesman at this office , pushing treatments and wisdom teeth removals that we state we don't want. After 10 years, we will not be back.

Fantastic experience: I’ve seen Dr Steiger for care at both of his practices and am thankful for the predictability of both treatments I’ve completed with him. No issues or pain during or afterward with any of the recommendations he has given. His assistant Dani is also very efficient and personable. Thank you!!
