Fantastic experience: My experience has been great and I am very happy with the improvements after my treatment. I went with the Invisalign and the team did a great job in supporting me through that journey. The team is friendly and knowledgeable, and did great at making routine visits quick and easy . The office also offered payment options that made it affordable.

Fantastic experience: Exceeded my expectations. The care, the attentiveness, the friendly personalities and assistance was a 20/10. From start the finish! Honestly before I walked in I was having a bad day, and the small interactions I had with the staff really had me feeling better by the time I left! Highly recommend! Fantastic experience: Dr.Hutto and team took care of me during my treatment. I got traditional braces and with each appointment they were informative and answered all of my questions. Shout out to Evelyn the receptionist for always working with me on my appointments and rescheduling! Fantastic experience: We’ve had an amazing experience at Shaw Orthodontics! Dr. Hutto and his staff have been incredible. My daughter was very nervous about starting treatment, but after her first appointment she couldn’t stop talking about how kind everyone was and how much she loved the atmosphere in the office. Before coming to Shaw Orthodontics, we had consultations at two other orthodontic offices over the last few years for early monitoring. Each time, we left feeling like it was just not a good fit. Meeting Dr. Hutto and his team was completely different. They took the time to explain everything, recommended only the treatment that was actually necessary, and never made us feel pressured into doing more than what she needed. One thing that made a huge difference for us was being able to start treatment the same day. It helped calm my daughter’s nerves instead of giving her extra time to worry about it. We’re so thankful we found Shaw Orthodontics. Everyone has been friendly, welcoming, and genuinely caring. We couldn’t be happier with our experience so far and will absolutely be recommending Dr. Hutto and his team to anyone we know!

Fantastic experience: I brought my daughter in for a second opinion. Making the appointment online was so easy. Jenny welcomed my daughter in and took her back as soon as we walked through the door. After looking at x-rays, Dr. Hutto visited with us to thoroughly explain the problem, listened to our concerns, and answered all of our questions. They offered to go ahead and get her in braces that day. Madison made sure my daughter was comfortable as the braces were put on, and she gave her a goodie bag and let her sign the wall of fame before she left. The whole experience was great from beginning to end. Everyone in the office was personable and kind, and we were in and out from consultation to braces in an hour and a half. I highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Hutto is an excellent Orthodontist! He has treated thousands of patients with the Invisalign brand of braces, and his expertise shows. I had other orthodontists that did not know what they were doing, and they squandered my time. Dr. Hutto and the entire wonderful and friendly staff are great, thank you so much!

Negative experience: So I recently came in and got my braces on and there was a new worker that didn’t do great job at putting them on. I told her that one side of the wire is still poking me but she said it’s supposed to feel a bit weird as you got it on. For the past couple of days now that same sides wire has been poking my gum so bad and its longer than the other side. It hurts and is in pain so much I tried using wax but it doesn’t help. I had a good first experiences for my first 2 appointments but this time around this new lady did a bad job.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Hutto and his team at Shaw Orthodontics are AMAZING! The renovation may be new and amazing but being kind and caring atmosphere has been here the whole time! The dentist is usually scary but not here at Shaw!

Negative experience: Can't get ahold of anyone. Called several times left messages have no idea if they're not in business but the phone line works. Have a loose permanent retainer cutting up the inside of my mouth and I don't know what to do about it.

Fantastic experience: From start to finish the ortho process was very smooth!! Dr Hutto was very informative and willing to answer all of my questions! This was new for us but we felt very secure with our decision to use Smile Doctors.

Negative experience: Today my grandson went this office with intention of getting his top retainer REPLACED because his original retainer had broke. This orthodontist was the one that put on his braces originally several years ago, but at that time this office was not owned by Smile Doctors and he had liked the orthodontist. His appointment today was a nightmare! Apparently there is a training physician or hygienist who never introduced herself. He explained to her what he wanted more than once. He then spoke to the orthodontist and explained to him more than once what he was there for. After explaining to two people what he came in for, the original person came back (this was a female) began removing his retainer and she was rough and made him bleed. The ortho doc had to come in and clean up the mess. Once retainer was off they said he could leave and he ask why they were not putting his retainer back on. She explained they don’t put on wire retainers anymore and if his teeth started shifting he could come back and get Invisaligns braces ($3800.00). This orthodontist should loose his business for allowing this unprofessional and untrained person to take care of his patients. Now my grandson has to get his records from 2018 through today and find another doctor. I hope this helps someone who may think about going to this office. Sorry for any bad grammar, but I am very upset.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this office. From the time I called to make my teenage sons and I appointment every one was pleasant, professional, and ready to help with any questions or reasonable requests. I came here after being highly disappointed with my sons prior orthodontia treatment at a different facility. The service was a pleasant difference in environment. The dentist ensured I understood and kept me updated with my sons treatment when he noticed a change from his original estimated time. Everything was explained in terms I could understand and options were given to ensure they were providing us with the service we wanted tailored to us. Glad I chose this place!

Fantastic experience: I visited a few places before deciding to go with Smile Doctors in Wylie for my child's orthodontic care and I'm glad I made this choice! The facility is clean, staff members are very personable and always made sure that my child was comfortable. Dr. Hutto, Nancy, and Catrina, along with several other staff members who worked with my child were absolutely amazing!! My child mentioned that he will miss seeing them! I highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for an orthodontist for themselves or children!

Fantastic experience: My teeth needed a LOT of TLC and this place felt like family every time I came to an appointment. I used to be very nervous of any dental work but after my first visit, I was laughing and talking to everyone like they were my friends. And that family feeling has never changed over the last 3 years and many appointments. I’m so thankful for all the time, patience, and hard work everyone did to give me a beautiful straight smile. I couldn’t be happier! Even when I lost my retainer, they made a mold in house that day so I could leave with one and not worry about my teeth moving. If you have kids, young teens, or young adults I HIGHLY recommend setting up a consultation.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend going with Smile Doctors if you're looking to get braces or Invisalign. They have great staff and doctors. My appointments were always timely and efficient. They also addressed my questions or concerns along the treatment path I chose. As someone that is nervous with dental treatment, the staff and doctors at Smile Doctors have great bedside manner and are trustworthy.

Negative experience: Smile doctors have not done much work over the past few months. They continue to make appointments and no work is completed.

Negative experience: I received a message on 12/13/23 stating that monitoring service for Invisalign would be discontinued. I moved out of the country and only decided on Invisalign over traditional braces because I was assured I could continue my service anywhere. I asked how I was supposed to continue treatment and they stated “the doctor wants to see patients in office to see how progress is.” They didn’t bother to even offer to transfer service. I had to call to see what my options were. If I’m paying for a service I except to see that service through to the end. It’s currently 1/2/24 and I have no heard back from them regarding a transfer. I guess I’ll find another location myself and see if I’m able to be transferred.

Negative experience: Omg, where do i start? I had a small problem that needed a resolution. In the beginning, I let them know that I am a Veteran & asked if there were any discounts available. One of the staff informs me that Richard Skibell told her that he is a veteran, but then she retracted her statement, and said that she wasn't sure that he actually was a veteran. I immediately told her that if someone tells you that they were in the military, it is something that a NORMAL person would not lie about, unless they have something to hide. Upon meeting Dr Skibell, overall, he was obnoxious & spoke in an agitated, high pitch tone of voice. He also did not smooth out the "old" orthodontic glue behind my teeth that he voluntarily decided to do on my behalf. He kept saying that it should feel "smooth as a baby". However, it was not. After he did a second effort to smooth out the glue behind my teeth, it still felt "rough" and "bumpy" and by that time, I was ready to walk right out the clinic. If you can't smooth out some simple glue on the back of teeth, then I am not going to spend my money on a half-done job. When I asked a few simple questions, upon my visit with him, he got agitated and raised his tone of voice. Thankfully, I found a professional, patient, & pleasant orthodontist. And he actually smoothed out the "old" orthodontic glue. He also suggested a plan to resolve my problem!

Positive experience: My daughter was very dissatisfied today as the dentist would not retract the mirror that was causing her pain and told her to not move while she was expressing pain. I guess next time I will stay present during her check up.

Negative experience: Please next time Inform your patient that a brace removal will take an hr to an hr in a half .. this does not need to be done when you have other stuff planned .
