Fantastic experience: Love my dentist office ladies and the dentist. 5 stars

Negative experience: Went there for dentures. After numerous times and months of waiting they are still horrible. The tops fall out, the bottoms are to small and now he's saying that's the best they can do. So now I get to find another dentist, so I can spend another $2,000.00 so I can eat real food. Don't waste your time and money here.

Positive experience: I was hit with a $1500 bill for services IF I wanted them. No options, no discussion, and the office lady said they could only offer this price for June. I just wanted my teeth cleaned, but that seemed to be out of their vision for me. They were nice but I said I had to think about it since who can afford that? And I have insurance but that’s my portion….

Fantastic experience: My daughter needed to see a perio doctor. But to avoid going to a perio specialist. Dr. Mohamed and Madison were understanding and gave her some good information and we came up with a good regimen to help her with the gum issue she was having. This will help her get on track and save us a lot of money. Would recommend!

Fantastic experience: Has some dental work done at Monarch in Rockwall. Dr Mohamed and Taylor made it painless and followed up with me the next day to make sure I was doing well. Jasmine and Julie in the front were very nice and explained everything to me when I had questions. My daughter has an appointment for next week to come. Thank you for being so great

Negative experience: This was my first time to visit Monarch Dental. After a thorough exam, I was told that I had periodontal disease, and needed a deep cleaning. I wasn't experiencing any of the symptoms such as red & swollen, bleeding gums, loose teeth, or pain. No issues at all going on in my mouth. The cost would be over $1,600.00 without purchasing some Aetna dental insurance. Went to my former dentist for a second opinion (that was an hour drive away), and none of what Monarch Dental told me was true! The only thing is that my gums are receding, but not more than what's typical at my age.

Negative experience: Scheduled appt online and showed up for first dental visit in a while. They were up front with the cost of everything. They did a dr exam before the cleaning which is a first for me. The Dr said that I needed a gingivitis cleaning. Assuming that would be what the hygienist would look for while she was cleaning. They came back before they started and handed me a bill that was $244 for the cleaning. When I said my insurance says I get 2 cleanings a year, they said they dont cover the gingivitis cleaning. When I said I dont want that one, just a regular cleaning. I was told they can't do that because the Dr already diagnosed the cleaning needed. So I left the office without getting my teeth cleaned because they wouldn't just clean them. Who do they work for, I dont work for the Dr. Aren't I the customer and if I just want a cleaning why was I denied service? Dont recommend wasting your time with Monarch dental

Negative experience: I normally do NOT do ratings, but I had to take the time to do this one. If there was a "non-star" rating, I would have chosen it. I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Monarch Dental. I scheduled a routine cleaning, but they refused to perform it unless I agreed to a 4-visit, $3,665 treatment plan ($1,067 out-of-pocket) for procedures like scaling and root planning. I do not have gingivitis, yet they insisted these were 'preventative.' While I understand billing for bitewings, they also added "office visit" and an "evaluation" charges ($443 to my insurance), it is upsetting that they use these initial diagnostics to put you in a bind—forcing you to either agree to thousands of dollars in extra treatments or leave without the cleaning you came for. When I declined, the dentist’s (Dr. Hallaway) demeanor became very unprofessional. To make matters worse, I specifically scheduled my appointment with Dr. Alma, who is my assigned provider. Instead, I was seen by Dr. Hallaway without any prior notification. I only learned her name because I asked while already in the exam chair, only to discover later that she is not in-network with my insurance. I addressed the lack of transparency with the front office, as I took time off work for a service they had no intention of providing. The staff stayed silent and called for the manager, Julie. Julie was defensive and claimed it is 'illegal' to clean teeth without these extra treatments—a claim I know to be untrue based on every other dental experience I’ve had. Because of this bait-and-switch, I still have not had my teeth cleaned and must now spend more time searching for a new dentist. I will be reporting this office to my insurance company for their lack of transparency and predatory tactics. This felt like a high-pressure sales tactic rather than dental care. Beware of being caught in this trap

Negative experience: Booked an appointment over the phone for a braces consultation for my 12yr old daughter with the orthodontist a couple weeks ago. My wife showed up to the appointment only to be told that the Dr. had to cancel due to a family emergency. They needed to reschedule for the following week, these things happen so i didn't think much of it. The day before the rescheduled appointment, i got a call saying the appointment needed to be rescheduled again due to a maintenance issue in the building. It was rescheduled again for the next week! My wife took my daughter today for the appointment, they brought her in and started cleaning her teeth. They only had her scheduled for a cleaning and not for a consultation with the orthodontist. I was very clear with woman on the phone when i booked the original appointment that it was for braces. Not sure if something was messed up in their system due to it being rescheduled multiple times, but the women in the office were pretty rude and just said that it was our fault and there's nothing they could do. Needless to say, will be looking elsewhere for an orthodontist!

Negative experience: I booked at appointment for my first visit at Monarch dental in Rockwall for a cleaning and exam on a Friday, Monach called and canceled my appointment the day before. So we rescheduled. I had a issue on the original reschedule date so I rescheduled it . Then on the day of my appointment, I was ten minutes late due to traffic on Hwy 30. Everything was pretty informal, the front desk receptionist said "Fill your paperwork out on your phone". The x-ray tech was nice she put the bitewings in my mouth. Then each time she went to go out of the room to do the x-ray she grabbed the wall with her gloved hands then would come back and put her hands in my mouth again to adjust the bite wings. About twelve time's she grabbed the wall after she had her hands in my mouth. Then after the x-rays she wiped everything down, but she didn't wiped the wall down. I wonder how many times a day does she grab that wall as she's doing x-rays? I was taken back to a exam room to have the dentist look at my teeth. He was nice. Then he said they would let me know the plan for my teeth. Then they took me back to the front desk to book a appointment to let me come back for my teeth to be cleaned. I said I booked a appointment for a cleaning and exam for today? She said "oh we closed at 2:30 today". I said "that's crazy because my appointment was at 2:30". I told her to email me with the details on the plan for my teeth, and at that point I would book a cleaning and I left. I've not received a email. There are a lot of dentist's in Rockwall I'm so not impressed.

Negative experience: This is a terrible business. Took my 88 year old mother in to find out what it would cost to get some dental work done. Specifically to get a second opinion on a bridge, that was recommended by another dentist. They scheduled the appointment and when we arrived they said they would not be able to discuss the bridge because I did not schedule to correct type of appointment with them. How am I supposed to know what type of appointment to schedule? I initially called them, told them what we were wanting to discuss and they scheduled the appointment. It seemed as though they just wanted us to schedule multiple appointments over an extended period of time instead of discuss the issue we came in for. They just kept talking in circles and did not seem to care one bit about my mother or how difficult it is for her to travel to an appointment. Julie was curt, rude, did not listen and was primarily concerned with explaining that they do not make mistakes. No wonder they have so many 1 star reviews. We won’t be going back here and would advise against anyone dealing with these people.

Fantastic experience: I had a dental emergency and was able to get a next day appointment and get that issue fixed, they were able to go in and fix another minor problem so it didn’t escalate. They also did scans of my teeth and a cancer screening. As well as gave me a referral to get my wisdom teeth out. It was my first time ever using monarch dental, and I had a great experience.

Negative experience: I highly reccomend staying away from this dental office if you have more than one insurance and/or have a split family. My step children have 3 dental insurances and they refuse to bill the insurances correctly. They refuse to bill because the bio mother of children has not signed the HIPAA paperwork for the children's father and step mother (mine) insurance to be billed. He is the father. You do it need HIPAA signed to do this. And even though it is not needed, we offered to send the divorce decree that shows both mother and father have legal rights to dental just to appease you. You said you didn't need it. We are also putting in a formal complaint with Insurance Commissioner Cassie Brown and as well as Attorney General Ken Paxton.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly atmosphere. Front desk, Julie is the best. She creates a welcoming environment. All of the other staff members are friendly and efficient, thus easing dental visit anxieties. I like the way they explain everything and answer my questions. A fun experience.

Fantastic experience: I am always happy with my experience. The staff is so helpful and attentive to my needs and concerns everytime I come in. Dental assistant (Taylor) is the greatest. She always helps in the right way. My last two crowns were difficult but she was able to make the correct adjustments to make the temp seat and remain in place. She's the Best!

Negative experience: I rarely leave reviews, but I feel obligated to warn others: do not go here. This office will add extra fees without explaining them, and if you’re not paying close attention, you’ll end up being charged for services you never asked for. On top of that, the supervisor or manager, whoever she. is extremely rude. I was made to wait for an hour with zero explanation or communication. It’s unacceptable. My entire family will be removing our records from this office and transferring elsewhere. money-hungry office charging almost 80 for some fluoride. lol bye

Negative experience: ⭐ 1-Star Review for Monarch Dental – Rockwall, TX I would highly recommend staying away from this dental office. The customer service is extremely poor, and communication is unprofessional at best. It’s very difficult to get clear answers or consistent follow-up from the staff. Appointments are often delayed or mishandled, and there’s little sense of accountability when mistakes happen. I expected a higher level of care and organization from a dental provider, but this experience was disappointing from start to finish.

Negative experience: My mom's insurance changed, so we had to switch dentists this year. I scheduled an appt with my mom and dad for a cleaning, but when we got there they only did the checkup and told us we would have to book another appointment for the cleaning. We've never had any issues with our teeth and always got regular cleanings with our other dentist. Now they're telling us we all need deep cleanings and other treatments for over $900 each. We called our old dentist and he told us they're just trying to make money off of us. I called the office to transfer our x-rays and evaluation over to our old dentist, but they gave us a very hard time and told us we would have to come to the office. This place is a scam.

Negative experience: Don’t go here!!!! Ive had perfect teeth my entire life and Im 50 yo. Been getting my teeth cleaned every 6 months since I had teeth (well maybe a miss here and there as an adult. Got my first cavity last year at 49. Anyway, went here this morning, first they try to upsell me a $70 fluoride treatment and $35 “enhanced” exam. I refuse. When fluoride was an extra $20 whatever but $70. I mean we have fluoride in our water, fluoride toothpaste, fluoride mouthwash. Then the dentist comes in and diagnoses me with periodontal disease. And the tell me I need a special cleaning costing $750 when I refuse starting I’ll take the regular cleaning. They refuse to service me. Making an appointment somewhere else, Im sure Im fine. Don’t let them scam you! Update: I just left my new dentist, Cornerstone Dental. They were amazing! Stated I have perfect, healthy gums absolutely no signs of gum disease. They did a routine cleaning and I opted for the fluoride treatment. After insurance, I paid $19.

Fantastic experience: Receptionist was amazing and the nurse came in and she was explanatory knew her job and very sweet to talk to enjoyed. The dentist wasn’t in there very long and she fixed my crown and I was on my way.

Fantastic experience: After going through multiple places to try and find care monarch dental was the next place I called and was immediately welcomed, appointment set and new patient paperwork was all sent to me while on the phone. I showed up and was greeted by staff that was very helpful and courteous and made everything so easy. The doctor herself was amazing and went over what I needed and explained everything very thoroughly. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: This place is a rip off. Our whole family had been seeing a dentist with 5 star reviews for 9 years. Unfortunately our insurance changed and happened to go to this monarch dentist. They sell you stuff that you don’t need. Gave an estimate of 9000 for my wife and said I need deep cleaning and something else for $900. Got a second opinion with my previous doctor and he said they are trying to make money. And you don’t need what they said. Thanks

Negative experience: Worst experience ever. Treated like cattle. Went in to get a consultation on one tooth. Walked out with a $16,000 quote. Are you crazy? I remember when monarch was fair and genuine they’ve gone down hill.

Negative experience: If I could give them ZERO stars I would! I received an exam at no cost which my insurance covers that. The office manger verbally told me my treatment plan and cost. The office manger told me I would pay $940 per crown. I asked her for my treatment plan so I could go over it, and review cost. That price sounded outrageous for them to be in network w/ my insurance plan. She said she would email it to me… I have yet to receive it! I called my insurance company and had them go over my plan and pricing for the treatment that I was told I needed. They told me I’m only required to pay my co-pay for the crown which is $410 and lab fees. I’m sure lab fees aren’t $530 lol. I was a dental assistant for 6 years. $940 is a scam and sounds more like FULL price. I WILL NOT be returning to this office. Beware of their pricing as they will over charge you. SCAMMERS TO SAY THE LEAST!

Negative experience: After requesting time off from work to attend my appointment, I arrived at the office only to be told by the manager that my appointment had been canceled. She showed no remorse for the situation. I showed both the manager and the front desk staff the automatic confirmation message I had received from their office. Despite this, the manager falsely claimed that they had called and texted me. When I asked her to show me any proof of a call from yesterday, she could not provide any, clearly lying. At the very least, I expected an apology, but none was offered.

As a nurse educating patients is super important to me, so for him taking the time to do so meant a lot and made him stand out. The entire staff was really awesome!

Negative experience: Don’t walk in here if you don’t have insurance. I called first and got three different quotes from 3 different people for a simple wisdom tooth extraction. The last quote from the office was $500-$800 to extract a single tooth. Thats about 3 times more than any other dental office in Rockwall. Thanks, but no thanks.

I myself hate dental office due to having bad experiences in the past. I did have some questions. I believe I spoke to Julie or Julia anyways she was very helpful and knowledgeable. she broke things down in a way that I could understand. Negative experience: AVOID! They are trying to bill me for additional money 8 months after the appointment! I am furious! Their customer service number has NO people answering, it's all automated. They gave me a bill when I was there and I paid it. You don't come in 8 months after the fact and ask for more. My dental benefits told me Monarch already cashed the check they gave them, they were paid both by me and the insurance. Very very screwy service. AVOID! Update: They never responded to the email.

Negative experience: I am now on week 3 of calling Monarch offices inquiring about a bill I received and was advised several times that someone would be giving me a call back. Unfortunately it didn’t happen. I was finally able to speak with Julie who was very helpful. This company is in desperate need of some help with customer service.

Fantastic experience: Several weeks ago I had a cleaning appointment and it was a pleasant experience.

Negative experience: No stars this dentist office is a scam brings you in as a first patient for consultation to deny you of a regular standard cleaning and jump right into recommending deep cleaning which I am a regular with my cleaning annually and there is no need for that recommendation just for me to pay $500 but to refuse my cleaning that the insurance pays for instead asking me for money. On top of that after that making me come in every 4 months for another $130. The funny thing about it my wife went to a dentist office not at this location but they did the same spill which would’ve have been $1000 for us both when we stay on our damn cleanings they asked for a review this is it do not waste your time for them to try to suck money out of you and refuse to do a cleaning that insurance pays for. The same gum exam rip off.

Fantastic experience: Bre and Nguyen were the people who helped me out, they were very quick and proffesional! I honestly havw a pretty hard time getting comfortable at really any doctor office, let alone the dentist, however the staff made me feel prettu calm and relaxed! The procedures were honestly really straught forward and it didnt feel like anyone cut corners tbh. Cant wait to come back!

The hygienist was great he was fast detailed with instructions and was so knowledgeable. My teeth feel good. The ortho Dr was very nice as well. I definitely recommend Monarch Dental of Rockwell.

Fantastic experience: I was stunned by the amazing service. Dr. Geeta and X-ray technician Bie, and Jasmine were especially attentive, professional, and respectful. I came in during a dental emergency when no other office around had availability to take me in. Everyone in the office was kind and diligent, and they took me in quickly. I will be coming here from now on and highly recommend this office to everyone!!
