Fantastic experience: Dr. Bello and the entire team are incredibly professional and thorough. The office is clean and they always run on time. From the moment I walked in, the receptionist greeted me with a smile, and the dental assistant explained every step, making me feel at ease. I love this place. I cannot recommend this practice enough! The entire team is incredibly warm, professional, and makes you feel right at home. The hygienist was so gentle and thorough during my cleaning, and the dentist took the time to answer all of my questions clearly. Clean, modern office and practically no wait time. I give them 10 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fantastic experience: Dr. Bello and Jillian are awesome. Josue is a wonderful assistant. Jillian is a thorough and gentle hygienist. And Dr. B is equally as thorough and very very courteous and considerate. I feel very comfortable going to Great Expressions and would recommend anyone to this practice!! Negative experience: Extremely disappointed with my experience at Great Expressions Dental in Levittown. My appointment was scheduled for 11 AM and I arrived at 10:40. I knew I was early so I patiently waited. By 11:45, I still had not been called so I asked the receptionist how much longer it would be. I was told “5 minutes.” About 8 minutes went by and when I asked again, I was once again told “5 minutes.” At that point, I complained about how long I had already been waiting. It was now 11:55, almost an HOUR after my scheduled appointment time. I also wasn’t the only person having this problem. A woman before me complained to the front desk because she had also been waiting for over an hour. Clearly, this was not just a one time delay. They then told me I could reschedule if I wanted to after waiting for OVER AN HOUR. They have no consideration of the patients time or patience and it felt like they were taking my patience for granted. I wasn’t finally brought into a room at 12 where I then waited ANOTHER 10 minutes. In total, I wasted about an hour and a half of my time. I did not make a dentist appointment to sit around waiting all day. What made it even more frustrating was watching people who arrived after me get called in before me. The front desk was also extremely unhelpful and had an attitude when I asked for updates. There seemed to be absolutely no effort to figure out what was causing the delay or get things back on track. At one point, the way they were talking made it seem like they didn’t even have my appointment properly on the schedule even though I had already checked in. Completely unorganized and no respect for patients time. They should not be taking appointments if they do not have the time or capacity to actually see patients anywhere near their scheduled appointment times. When multiple patients are waiting over an hour and complaining about the same issue something is clearly wrong with how appointments are being managed. I understand that offices can occasionally run behind but this was unacceptable.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Bello is amazing! I hadn’t been to the dentist in forever because of terrible dental anxiety, but he made me feel completely comfortable and never judged me or made me feel bad about it. Even with all the dental work I’ve had to get done, he is so good at distracting me and helping me feel at ease. He is extremely attentive, does wonderful work, and I honestly just love him! The front desk staff is also incredibly friendly and helpful, and everyone in the office is amazing. I’m so glad I found Dr. Bello and his team. 10/10 recommend!

Fantastic experience: The best! When my Cap came out they took the time to try and help to reinstall but needed to do a xray and exam. The dentist wasn’t able to help without the specks of the implant and did not charge for his time or the xray! What a wonderful act of Kindness!! Much appreciated.His office staff even helped my track who installed the cap from 2019.

Fantastic experience: I had a cleaning today and Jill recommended me to do a deep cleaning. I told her that I did it 2 years ago and thought it was going to be covered, but unfortunately it wasn't. She understood my concern and took the time to see if she could help me. She came back in and said my deep cleaning will be covered 100%. She did an awesome job and very friendly. I would recommend her to all.

Negative experience: Horrible experience with the hygienist department, they gave you the appointment for scaling or regular cleaning and when you reach at the appointment ,they urge you to go for the deep cleaning which is not covered by insurance and refused to do regular cleaning, it doesn't matter if you explain to them your financial situation or beg them to do cleaning. Please be aware of these rude people although I recommend the dentist Dr Bello which I will give him a separate rating.

Negative experience: I had very bad experiences with this dental office. I was denied dental care for some stupid reasons, for two times. Reason was, I am not able to log in to their private portal due to technical issues, No assistance received from their part. I begged to do it manually (paperwork) but they refused to do so, and I have to leave without receiving any dental service. With severe tooth pain I have to find a new dentist. I would never recommend anyone to go to this dental office. It was a horrible experience both times.

Positive experience: First time seeing the new Dr Nick and the new hygienist. The office was clean. The rooms were clean. I believe she did a very good job on my teeth. I’ve been here before and unfortunately, my other Dentist left supposedly because he moved. I don’t even know that this dentist looked at my x-rays.. I know it’s no shave November but I think a little cleanup with that beard is good advice. I will be returning in six months as I have done In the past.

Fantastic experience: I'm a new client to Dr. Bello and I have to say that Dr. Bello, Dr. Jillian, Nancy and Staff were Pleasant, Caring and Professional. The speed of the Team is the Speed of the leader.

Negative experience: I’m writing this on behalf of my elderly mother who does not speak English well. She visited this office for a consultation and was advised to have multiple teeth extracted. During that consultation, she was told the extractions would be covered under her insurance and that getting a temporary denture for $900 was optional. Because she has Medicaid and cannot afford that, she chose to wait for the permanent denture that Medicaid covers after the healing process. The temporary denture was clearly presented as a choice, not a requirement. She returned on 11/05/2025 for the scheduled extraction and followed every instruction, including taking the antibiotic one hour beforehand because she had opened heart surgery at the beginning of this year. However, when she informed Dr. Yang Fan that she did not want the temporary denture, the dentist became visibly upset. Then suddenly, the office claimed that the extractions would now cost $200 per tooth, even though they had previously stated that they were covered. Even more concerning, Dr. Fan then suggested that my mother should not remove the teeth at all, and instead to just proceed later with a permanent denture placed over the teeth that were originally recommended for extraction. To us, that advice made no sense, as the teeth were advised for removal in the first place, which strongly suggests they were not in good condition. Recommending to leave them in simply because she declined an optional denture is extremely unprofessional and confusing. My mother recently had open-heart surgery earlier this year and moves slowly, yet Dr. Fan spoke to her in a rude, impatient tone and told her to “get up” from the chair, rushing her out of the room. She waited over an hour and took the antibiotic — which should only be taken when necessary — for no reason, because the dentist refused to treat her after she declined the optional denture. When I called the office to clarify what happened, I was placed on hold for 7–10 minutes with no explanation, no communication, and no attempt to help. No one comes back to the phone to inform after that long of a wait that they are getting someone to assist. Seems as if they just put me on hold long enough that I would hang up. Which I did. This office showed a complete lack of compassion, professionalism, and medical ethics, especially toward an elderly patient with a language barrier and a serious recent health condition. No patient should be denied necessary dental treatment or pressured financially simply for declining an optional upgrade.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Great Expressions for a few years now. And I wasn’t so sure about coming back cause I didn’t love the dental hygienist when I was last in six months ago. But upon my arrival for my appointment, I found out there was a new dental hygienist who is absolutely lovely. Apologies, I don’t remember her name, but she was absolutely lovely. She took the time to tell me if something was wrong or if there were any issues. I always love the staff when I come in as well. They shouldn’t go unnoticed at all.

Negative experience: I had the worst experience as a new patient because of the office manager, Nancy she doesn’t identify herself at the office and she is the person who submits the insurance Predetermination paperwork to your company. On several occasions when I spoke with her, she has been very rude and does not meet the standard of care. One would expect at a dentist office when I asked her if she submitted my Metlife paperwork she said she had forgotten, but she was gonna do it now, and she was overworked And she would get to it on Monday when you file with * MetLife electronically, they get it within 24 hours. They haven’t gotten the paperwork for a week so I think she’s being spiteful and not submitting the paperwork. I spoke with the dentist twice about the situation and he said he was an employee and he had to work with them so he really wasn’t any help in that area She would not return my phone calls. She would not return my emails because I thought well maybe if I email her I’ll get a better response. I provided her with all the information she needed to file my claim and I told her I wanted to speak with the office manager, and she said the office manager doesn’t work at this office. Meanwhile, she is the office manager. Someone I know was in the waiting room one day and saw her leaning on a hand, rolling her eyes speaking to someone on the phone and could hear the other person on the phone speak very loudly and when she got off the phone, the rest of the staff clap their hands and said yeah you really told her off what I found out is that she sent an email to the corporate office in Southhold, Michigan to get me fired as a patient. I received a letter several days later saying that I was no longer a patient with them and they canceled the rest of my appointments so if you asked too many questions there you’re not likely to be a patient. Meanwhile, I asked her where the corporate office was located. She refused to tell me I asked for a phone number I could call. She refused to give it to me and that’s probably because she had a lot of complaints in the past.

Negative experience: Stay far away from this office. Thieves in dental clothing. I was a brand new first time patient and could have been a patient for life. During my first visit they charged me personally $35 for an "oral cancer screening". ?? I've never been charged for such a screening at any other dental office. It's a 10 second visual screening by the DDS. My dental insurance had recently changed so I assumed it was possible that the office thought or was aware that my insurance didn't cover this. I paid the $35 out of pocket. I immediately checked with my dental insurance company when I got home and they CONFIRMED that they do cover this screening. I went back to the office and requested my $35 be refunded and brought proof of coverage from my insurance website account. The women at the front desk was quite agitated with both my request and proof of coverage, stated "we haven't been paid for this claim yet" and "if we are we will mail you a check". . LIES,LIES,LIES. I left knowing I was scammed out of $35, would never receive a refund, and that they lied to me face to face. 5 months later...no refund My insurance coverage in fact paid out $65 to Dr. Amandeep for the screening. Don't even consider this office for your dental needs. Liars, scammers, thieves, and might I add that insurance fraud is a felony in NY State. Unbelievable

Negative experience: I should’ve checked the reviews of this place. They definitely scam you into doing the deep cleaning for the extra money. Someone who didn’t even introduce themselves started with no notice or explanation and the spit was going all up my neck and face because she didn’t properly check or wipe anything as she went along. 45$ from the deep cleaning was from just irrigation, what an absolute joke. STAY AWAY

Fantastic experience: First time there for a cleaning the receptionist was very nice and helpful they were very professional I was very pleased with them. The hygienist Jen took her time and was very nice I really liked my cleaning. The dr explained very well everything so to summer it up I was very pleased and happy for my service!!!

Negative experience: This place is a scam. They called me and made up a total lie about my insurance saying I already got x-rays done and would have to pay out-of-pocket. Completely false I’m on a brand new plan. Double checked with insurance to make sure . Told them to not call me again. After they called me back again and I called them out they threatened to call the police on me. It’s funny all of the reviews on here are very similar Concerning them lying about insurance

Negative experience: From I very loyal and long time customer today I discovered that attention to detail and customer service it’s not something that this establishment can offer . I guess the new doctors or however is in charge need to reevaluate policies and procedures. Time to look for a new doctor .

Positive experience: Usually have some great experiences here. The Doctor is great and has fixed cavity issues I’ve had from previous dentists not fixing them correctly. Grateful for that. Cleanings are usually quick and easy. One of the days it was a bit of a messier and rushed cleaning and my teeth didn’t feel as clean as usual so took one star off for that. Also because of a lot of my saliva dripping down and not being suctioned up. Also took it off for my appointment being cancelled and then the doctor not being in for the rescheduled appointment (that I had to go online and do because I wasn’t offered to reschedule on the phone when informed the first one was cancelled). It’s not the doctors fault tho but there definitely should be more than one doctor and hygienist so this doesn’t happen.

Negative experience: Horrible. 1. Did work that isn't covered by insurance, but never informed the patient until after the work is done. 2. Next procedure, they do additional work, without informing patient, until half way into the procedure, that what they are doing additionally, won't be covered by insurance. 3. Finally, they bill you for work not covered by insurance, which I paid, then, a year later send another bill for same procedure, claiming some of the work, surprisingly, wasnt covered by the insurance. Be careful, and get everything in writing before work is done, and keep the records cor future billing. Update.. If you want a legit, good dentist.. Plaza Dental in Farmingdale. I have been using them for the last 5 years.

Negative experience: The hygienist was very sloppy and harsh. I’ve had many cleanings that went smoother. I also feel like I’m always paying something out of pocket which doesn’t seem right? The hygienist said I need antibiotics after the dentist examined me and said everything looked good? Lol told me the antibiotics weren’t covered and it would have been $200.. save your money and time, go else where.

Negative experience: Terrible communication from this dental office. I've tried scheduling an appointment with them twice, as my health insurance portal shows this office is in-network so I chose them as my PCD. First time, I scheduled an appointment with them online through their website, and I chose a date and time that they said was available on their own website. They send me auto-generated text messages, asking me to confirm my visit days prior. The morning of the appointment, they call me to let me know this date and time is not available, which they then advised me to reschedule. Although this was frustrating as I have to rearrange my work schedule, I rescheduled anyways. I reschedule the date of this visit, which is about a month out from the original date. Same thing, I get auto-generated emails asking me to confirm my visit, and I even had to enter in some information days prior to the visit through a link sent to me by email. The rescheduled date was today. I just got a call from them twenty minutes ago (which is an hour before my appointment) that apparently they don't take my insurance all of a sudden. I was informed of this news through a voicemail (as I missed their call while getting ready to leave for the appointment lmao) and they just flat out cancelled my appointment without notifying me through any sort of text or email communication. I work a 9-to-5 and have had to move my work schedule around twice because of this office. Due to the nature of how rare dental offices have openings, it is unacceptable to tell me that your office does not accept my insurance the morning of. Why couldn't this information be told to me sooner? I don't generally pick up calls from random phone numbers, so was there no way a text or email could've been sent to me notifying me of this issue? This is ridiculous and I will not continue to book any appointments with this dental center further. Communication with them is like communicating with a rock, it doesn't happen.

Negative experience: Not sure why this place is called Great Expressions. There is nothing “great” about this place. Terrible communication and no courtesy to tell their patients about cancellations ahead of time. Don’t come here!

Negative experience: I really wish this was not a negative review. ever since I switched my insurance, I really started to realize this was a business more than it is a medical practice. My appointment was flat out cancelled because they do not take my insurance anymore, without even giving me the option to pay. Very disheartening as I have been attending here for the past 7 years I would say... No longer a patient and I would advise you go elsewhere if you want your best interests to be taken as a priority and not your money.

Fantastic experience: Dental office is great, the personal is very nice

Fantastic experience: I had such a great experience at Dr. Thomas's office. She was warm, really listened to my worries about my sensitive teeth, and was very gentle! She was caring and made sure I was comfortable the whole time, from the cleaning to my fillings. Plus, the office manager Nancy was amazing at fitting me in last minute, which was a huge help. The whole visit felt welcoming and supportive.

Fantastic experience: A few weeks ago I started the very intense process of having all my teeth removed & getting immediate dentures! Of course the oral surgeon wouldn’t remove all the teeth in 1 visit so I had the top removed & then same day went to great expressions to have the top dentures put in & then 5 days later for the bottoms- very painful process that no matter how mentally prepared you are for it - it’s still very tough. I did my denture impressions and about a week & a half later at most my dentures were ready so they work quickly & throughout this process the staff had been extremely supportive & of here when ever I need them. The receptionist Nancy has definitely helped me on my worst days and hen I know I’m not the easiest especially when in extreme pain lol but she even communicated with my oral surgeon to coordinate my surgery times so then I have my appointment with them right after surgery to install the dentures & I had to do the 2surgeries instead of 1shot so it was very difficult & got it all done within a week & and was recovering. Their price for immediate dentures was very reasonable too- $1,000 roughly- my friend paid $3,000! Of course insurance covers the permanent pair but those take months & I work at a doctors office so I need teeth! I’m still going back for denture adjustments but things are getting better & thanks to a great dentist & staff- very caring company, things are going well. I’m very grateful for this positive experience !

Fantastic experience: Great Expressions is wonderful. The entire staff is very friendly and compassionate. They always make me feel comfortable, which is not easy after past dental experiences I’ve had. Their prices are very reasonable. I would highly recommend great expressions if you’re looking for a new dentist!
