Fantastic experience: Ok I was one of the first patients in 2013. Dr. Dory is one of the kindest, most loving and fun dentists to go to. I was chicken status and he got me to have a loyal relationship with him and his wonderful staff. Dwight and Ellie. Keep asking those questions. He isn't just cosmetic. He is fantastic at root canals and core buildup. If anyone has major dental issues you know how painful your gums are after he cuts. Well as of right now 24 hours later zero pain and he cut 3 gum lines. And I had two infections. Go call them and take a chance. 12 years and counting and I travel 4 hours back and forth. Don't even live around there

Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Dr. Dory for over ten years now and I have been to many dentists on Long Island. He is the best, especially for cosmetic dentistry. He is very meticulous and a perfectionist. After I went to another dentist who did my original veneers and I was not happy, I found Dr. Dory who made my smile much better. My veneers look very natural. The staff is always cordial and the dental hygienist that I use is Mona. She is patient, thorough and her hand is so light when she cleans your teeth. You barely feel anything. I have been using Mona for years now and I highly recommend her. The entire office is awesome and the best part is you never feel rushed and you never wait more than 10 minutes.

Fantastic experience: I had consulted 2 periodontists and 3 other dentists prior to meeting Dr. Dory for my cosmetic dentistry work. To accommodate my schedule, Dr Dory arranged to have his staff stay late for some very long sessions, well into the evening. His staff was so sweet. That night, they brought me blankets and smoothies to help keep me relaxed. I was never uncomfortable because Dr. Dory is a master at pain management, and was always talking to me, and telling me what to expect next. Dr. Dory is a perfectionist, and skilled clinician who clearly loves what he does and works very hard to meet your expectations.

Fantastic experience: There are no words to describe south shore detail except phenomenal!!! The work us out of this world the dentists are so gentle kind and compassionate!!!! Not to mention perfectionists! Dwayne the assistant is soo caring !! Obsessed with this place and front desk top notch

Negative experience: Absolutely the worst dentist I have ever been to. First off, the main dentist lied to me and told me my insurance would cover the $2,000 bill, and it in fact did not. That $2,000 bill was to fix imperfections in my teeth so I could have a night retainer. Meanwhile, I had a cavity that needed to be filled but he fixed the imperfections first and assumed I would come back for the cavities (since it was a more serious issue). His entire “dental plan” for me was over $6k and he told me it was covered under insurance and none of it was. Overall terrible experience and this dentist was just trying to make some money

Fantastic experience: I would like to tell a story that I hope is worth reading. I have a son who was very sick. The medication that he was being treated with had destroyed his teeth. When his illness was finally under control we didn't know where to turn. I went to a few places to see what had to be done to repair my son and there wasn't much anyone could do besides remove all of his teeth. I decided to try one more place. (South Shore Dental Care). My son and I had scheduled a consultation with Doctor D Stutman. He saw the pain my young boy was in and told me that he wanted to help with whatever he had to do and that he would treat my boy like if it was his own son. That was really all I needed to hear.. We scheduled some appointments and started to go work. The doctor and staff made my son and I feel comfortable knowing we would only do what he could tolerate each visit. After several appointments.. I started to see my sons teeth start to be reconstructed. Something I didn't believe was possible.. and right by our side through all of this was Doctor D.. his assistants Gemma and Dwayne.. Mona, keeping his teeth and gums healthy during the process. And of course the girls at the front desk, Rosie and Jessica, cheering him on before he went in for each procedure. During this process, not only did these miracle workers perform outstandingly.. they also became family. Once the process was complete. My son now has a beautiful set of teeth. And after years of my son being in pain.. We did something together that he had been waiting for.. we went out to a restaurant and he was able to eat and enjoy a meal without pain. As a father.. watching your son be able to enjoy something like that.. there is no price you can put on it.. I just wanted to thank the team of individuals at South Shore Dental ( Luminous Smile). Fantastic experience: My experience with dr stuntman was great but the one person who made it soooo much better was his assistant Gemma , she was by my side the whole time very professional compassionate and helpful, I had all my front teeth crowned, was very happy with the results, was a very long process, don’t think I would have been able to tolerate it, if Gemma was not there!
