Fantastic experience: I had 2 cavities filled and a cleaning and it was wonderful!! The assistant LaLa was amazing and I never even felt the needle going into my face to numb me. Had a fun time and I got a good boy prize Amazing Debtist, 10/10. Would definitely go back!!

Fantastic experience: This is the best care I've gotten at a doctor's office! I went in with a broken tooth and an extreme amount of pain. They were accommodating from the start and made me feel like they knew me even though it was my first time at the office. I did not have insurance but they helped me find a payment plan that worked for me. They are extremely attentive and caring. Everyone in the office was so sweet but I specifically had the pleasure of being cared for by Rachel and Dr. Rami. I am very happy that I found this office I will never visit another dentist this is my new dental home!

Negative experience: This people are the rudest and like to overcharge insurance. We had to change our insurance because we change jobs and unfortunately our regular dentist didn’t accept that insurance so we came to this place. Like a year after that we were able to go back to our old insurance and because our experience wasn’t the best with south Lakeland dental we decided to go back to out family dentist which we love and have never gotten any issues with. Surprisingly we got a bill from south lakeland dental, no explanation given or reason why that bill was sent. We called, left messages and emails and guess what no responses, oohh but the bill kept coming like clockwise. When they finally responded they started giving and explanation that make No sense and when i said why, magically another explanation came like coming out of the sleeves. I do not recommend this place because they are not there for u just for your money. I gave one star cause i have to give something to be able to leave a review.

Negative experience: I strongly do not recommend this dental office. My experience was extremely frustrating from start to finish. I paid for my fillings and crown replacement up front, but the quality of care and communication were very poor. On the day of my fillings, my face looked terrible afterward, and the overall experience left me very concerned. Every time I came in, I seemed to be dealing with a different dentist, which made it feel like no one was familiar with my case or taking ownership of my treatment. I also consistently waited 45 minutes to an hour past my appointment time before being seen. The crown replacement was especially disappointing. They failed to properly install the crown multiple times, which caused repeated visits, added stress, and significantly worsened my TMJ symptoms. Instead of resolving the issue efficiently, the process felt disorganized and dismissive. I also cancelled the night guard because I no longer felt comfortable moving forward with additional treatment there. Even then, I had to tell them multiple times to cancel the upsell, and they told me it could take up to 90 days to receive a refund. Update: I contacted the office to try to resolve my concerns, but their response was dismissive and unhelpful. Based on my experience, I would not trust this office with dental care, billing, or follow-up support. I would strongly encourage others to look elsewhere.

Negative experience: My husband had a terrible billing experience with this practice. Before his treatment, he was given a formal financial estimate with a discount, which was signed and approved by their finance employee. The balance was paid in full and completed the treatment. However, after our insurance company sent them a payment, the office verbally refused to refund the overpayment and tried to retroactively remove the contractually agreed-upon discount to pocket the extra cash, because we asked for a reimbursement of the overpayment. I am highly disappointed in their predatory billing practices and lack of financial integrity. By law they have to reimburse the overpayment, see below: A dentist cannot legally remove a completed discount or pocket an insurance overpayment if you have already paid in full and the treatment is finished. Once you settle your agreed-out-of-pocket share, the practice is bound by that final agreement. If the office already agreed to a promotional discount and you paid it, they cannot legally revoke that discount to absorb funds your insurance subsequently pays. If you paid the agreed-upon discounted rate before or during your treatment, the account is considered settled. Any money your insurance company pays out for that specific claim is actually meant to reimburse you for the out-of-pocket costs you already covered. Overpayment Laws: If the combined total of what you paid and what the insurance paid exceeds the dentist's final agreed-upon fee, the office is legally required to refund you the overpayment.

Our office follows the signed financial agreement, applicable insurance contracts, and all state and federal regulations when calculating patient responsibility and processing refunds. Insurance payments are not automatically owed to a patient simply because they are received after treatment; each account must be reconciled based on the final claim adjudication, contractual adjustments, and the patient's financial agreement.
If the responsible party believes there is an error, we welcome the opportunity to conduct a complete account review. Any refund determined to be due will be issued in accordance with our financial policies and applicable law. We remain available to discuss the account directly and professionally.
Fantastic experience: I just can't say enough great things about this office!! From making my first appt.(which happened the day after I made that call) to everyone in the office and the dr.s and assistants were the absolute best!! They helped take care of getting the financially part so it was affordable for me!! Absolutely recommend South Lakeland Dental for any and all of your dental needs!! Love these guys!!

Fantastic experience: I’m going to be honest, I haven’t exactly had very great dental experiences in the last 2 years and was extremely guarded about my appointment being made at another new office . This would come just 24 hours after being in the office of a well known “chain” dental company & being worked in as an emergency . From the moment I walked into this building, you could just tell that they were not like the rest . The receptionist actually smiles ( such a foreign concept these days ) ! Every single person I encountered in this office genuinely seemed like they weren’t miserable nor that they forced to be there . The dentist was very nice & his assistant was also super sweet ! My daughter’s 16th birthday and Twins Kindergarten graduation weren’t completely ruined by a bad tooth thanks to them !! I have already scheduled my next appointment with them and have even convinced my husband to become a patient of theirs as well . If you are looking for a dentist, this is THE one you want !

Negative experience: I was charged for and receiveda procedure I never agreed too. When I questioned it I was ignored for weeks. The staffs were rude and hung up on me. I have changed d s ntist now. If you go here make sure you ask lots of questions every step of the way. Poor poor company.

Fantastic experience: I don't no why someone is sorry that Juliette was my assistant because her and my doctor held me down without any problem and gave me the extra care I needed to keep me on point dealing with all that preassure...mrs. Juliette the doctor who name i can't pronounce ,lala. Positive experience: LaLa was amazing! I only had X-rays done today, with her but she made the whole experience really comfortable and easy. She was very kind, patient, and explained everything clearly so I knew what to expect. Dental visits can sometimes feel a little nerve-wracking, but her friendly attitude and professionalism made it a great experience. Fantastic experience: I came to get 2 teeth extracted and my daughter got one of hers extracted they were very patient and informative didn’t take very long and explained the aftercare very well I love Juliet she held my hand and made me laugh to calm me down

Fantastic experience: After 5 years of working with several different dentists/practices trying to find a solution for my dental issues, I am so grateful I was led to South Lakeland Dental. From Amanda at reception, Anthony in finance and the dental assistants that have been a part of my journey (I feel so bad I can't remember their names), they have all been absolute angels who never made me feel ashamed of my situation. Dr. Esterley is a man of few words, but he listened to my concerns and has a heart of gold, and is blessed with hands that caused no pain or problems with healing during and after my procedures. I highly and strongly recommend Southland Dental for your dental care. Here you are NOT just another number. God bless this practice and all of its employees.

Fantastic experience: Had an appointment today with Dr. Koveos and D.A Yuliet for an extraction. Speaking as someone who is absolutely petrified of anything medical, especially dental related, this was one of the best experiences I've ever had at a doctor's visit! Dr. Koveos explained everything and made me feel much much more at ease, completed a difficult extraction quickly and ensured I was comfortable/numbed properly every step of the way. Yuliet even held my hand when the doctor injected the numbing agent which, as embarrassing as it is that I'm 25 years old and needed that, changed my entire mood for the rest of the visit. Best dentist I've been to, and I have no reason to exaggerate. If you're a huge wimp like me, this is the place to go. I'll keep coming here as long as I possibly can. Thank you both!

Fantastic experience: About two months ago, I woke up with an extremely swollen face and immediately knew my broken tooth of 8+ years had abscessed. I called their office in a panic, and they got me scheduled the same day. That alone meant so much. Three weeks later, I had the tooth extracted by Dr. Koveos and his amazing staff. I struggle with pretty intense dental anxiety, and they were so patient, kind, and reassuring every step of the way. They truly made a scary situation feel manageable. Every follow-up appointment has been just as positive. I’m so grateful for their compassion, professionalism, and how well they care for their patients.

Negative experience: At this place you are just a Number not a name. I went in for a consultation and waited well past appointment time and after filling out 10 pages of my info I ended up walking out. An elderly lady showed up for her consultation and could not read or write and told the receptionist that when he asked for her paperwork but instead of offering help he told her they wouldn't be able to see her rather than helping her with it and right then and there I knew the patient is NOT important to them just the Money. I stood up right then and we both walked out. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.

Fantastic experience: When I first started going to South Lakeland Dental I was a little on the nervous side, but from the very first time I met Anthony I was put at ease! He explained everything from my Loan Application to my procedure to what was to be expected. And as for the staff, I never met such wonderful, awesome people! Everyone was very knowledgeable in their job! Today i have an awesome smile, I no longer hide my mouth when I smile or laughed. I cannot Thank the Staff at South Lakeland Dental for giving me a reason to smile again! I highly recommend this establishment for all your Dental needs. Fantastic experience: Super quick, nice and caring. Had my two wisdom teeth removed in under 5 minutes after numbing. They were the best. A lot of other dentist I've went to have swayed me from going to the dentist because of either not caring about causing pain, or just straight up talking crap about my teeth (Ik their bad but dang). I'll definitely be returning.
