Fantastic experience: very well guided and explanation of the exams done and Dr explained very clearly how to maintain good healthy teeth and I like the rough estimate ahead of any procedure method. so I can plan better. I'm happy I came here. my insurance recommended.

Negative experience: We showed up and they were already taking my uncle’s x-rays and then said they don’t accept his insurance. The only reason they double checked is because I asked them to check if the head scan is covered. Prior to his visit, I submitted all the filled forms and copy of the insurance card. They didn’t do their due diligence and we wasted out time going there.

Fantastic experience: I had a cleaning with Sam today, and she worked with great care causing zero pain. I almost fell asleep in the chair. And my teeth feel super fresh. Thanks Sam

Positive experience: I can only give three star now, but I will adjust based on my experience in the future. hygienists are good, Maggie is awesome. BUT, the management and front desk are bad. First, I made a reservation for one hygienist, and also called about the appointment information by calling them just 15 minutes before the appointment. You know what? The front desk says no problem! But when I arrived there, they told me that hygienist is about to leave? Why you can not confirm correctly and tell me earlier and even I made a call to double check with you? Then I wait another over a half hour to get “Luck” to be with the right person I want. Omg please! the management should be more professional! I just can’t believe what the BOSS or the management team is doing? How are you training the staff? Are you just sitting there and doing nothing? oMG Be proactive and communicate! !Please, you cannot wait the client to tell you the latest information of the doctor and hygienist schedule! Also, I don’t understand why they let me to do another x-ray just after several months? I just want basic cleaning! If I didn’t ask or check clearly I will do it again! All the client want is basic cleaning, no fancy technology no extra check, I will give here the last chance but will definitely not stand once more

I have to start by saying that I left my previous Dentist who shall remain nameless, because it felt like they were only concerned about regular cleanings and the Dentist never had time to discuss any of my concerns at all about my teeth. Even though I was a loyal customer for the past 4 years they were always too busy to address discomfort, sensitivity or possible cavities. I can honestly say that "Smiles of Katy" is a GAME CHANGER!!! My NEW Dentist Dr. Moreno was amazing, she took her time and answered all of my concerns and questions about the current status of my teeth. Her professionalism and expertise were a breath of fresh air. She cared about my dental health and smile above all and we put together an action plan to continue my daily routine to take care of my teeth correctly. The Dental Hygienist Maggie was fantastic, she took all new X Rays, with state of the art technology and gave me a clear picture of my current dental health and potential issues. The office is pristine and has the palacios welcoming of a 5 Star Hotel with marble floors and a crystal chandelier. The office staff is warm, friendly, and inviting and made me feel right at home. I can honestly say that I am looking forward to being a loyal customer for years to come. THANK YOU "Smiles of Katy"!!! Just had another cleaning yesterday March 16th. Negative experience: They told me I had a "very small cavity" which I found odd since this would be my second cavity in my 2 visits since I started going to this dentist. I went to a different dentist to get a 2nd opinion and was told my teeth are healthy and no cavity was found. Then today I get a bill from them for over $250. Logged into my insurance website to find my insurance fully paid everything to them already! I call the office demanding an explanation only to be told I don't know why you were sent that...you don't owe anything. Question EVERYTHING they tell you and get second opinions.

Fantastic experience: I have a fear of dental procedures so going to the dentist even for a routine cleaning is not pleasant. This was my first time going here and they were excellent! Fantastic experience: The team was great about getting my daughter and I through in the last week of the year with no warning. We were treated respectfully despite not being good about dental care in the past.

Negative experience: Billed me for services and I am not a patient, nor am I liable for anyone else. I contacted the office in October 2025 and told them that they were on violation of HIPAA for confirming that my ex husband was a patient of theirs. They told me it was their error and they would not be billing me again. In December 2025 I received another bill this time with his name as the patient on the bill, a second violation of HIPAA.

Negative experience: I came in for routine 6 month cleaning and was being strong armed into doing a much higher cost procedure. Had to really fight to get the cleaning I came in for, then was told by not accepting this expensive procedure, I will not be able to be seen in the future for my next 6 month cleaning. I feel this office is only concerned with their bottom line, not the patients care. They are refusing basic dental care for covered expenses wanting more and more money and billing opportunities. To be fair, Brian was my hygienist and he did finally clean my teeth but I will not be returning .

Negative experience: My daughter visited this dentist with an abscess, they did not want to give an antibiotics, they only recommend her seeing another dentist for a root canal.

Fantastic experience: Wow! I’ve truly never felt more comfortable at the dentist. Especially ones that have availability during busy days and having to book months in advance. Looked on a Wednesday and booked no problem for the same Friday during Christmas break. I work with Katy ISD and have always had a hard time finding a good dentist that was reasonable. As soon as you enter your greeted by the lovely front desk ladies! The staff is 5 STAR. Literally check on you and make you comfortable from start to finish. Dr.Pham is younger and did wonders with my reluctant teenager. For my initial cleaning they did a full treatment plan with me following. Prices were up front, various options for you to consider, financing for certain things, etc. They talk you through everything as they do it… step by step through the entire cleaning so you could anticipate and prepare. Check on you throughly as they work to ensure no discomfort, and I my son and I both got a welcome gift and goodie bag. Truly an amazing experience and I’m so glad I stumbled upon them. They also have staff for all dental needs. Check them out!

Negative experience: This is a quote regarding their atmosphere, "The moment you walk in our front door, our team will make you feel comfortable, secure, and well cared for." After receiving dental services at this office for some time, I felt nothing but disrespected and uncomfortable. The older Hispanic receptionist is VERY rude and unprofessional. She made unprofessional remarks, hand gestures and rolled her eyes after she had to look up my dental coverage. After asking her to please stop with the unprofessional behavior and to speak with her manager, her and another Hispanic lady walked off leaving me at the counter speaking their native language, Spanish. After speaking with the manager, nothing was resolved except the manager apologizing and saying she would address the situation. I highly doubt any correction was done or will be done. If you want to feel comfortable, I suggest you find another dentist. The dentist & techs are wonderful!! It's a shame the receptionist can ruin the "comfortable atmosphere." I WILL NEVER VISIT THIS OFFICE AGAIN. Please find an office that appreciates you & will actually make you feel "comfortable. "

Negative experience: Went for a first time just for an annual cleanup that’s covered with insurance and of course they were trying to sell me some deep cleaning and crown and needed to pay $350 for cleaning only and they refused to do a normal cleaning on my teeth! Very disappointed!!! Sush a waste of my time

Negative experience: Our first visits were great. I had even left a 5 star review at that time which I deleted. My son had to get braces. We as a family got some work done here as well. Billing part was awful. I was getting billed for things that I had paid for in cash and also for some I had financed that the insurance did not cover. Usually, places tell you what the insurance will cover and what they will not. Not here. What made me do a 1 star review is that my sons retainers were loose and his teeth shifted very fast and I am now paying another ortho another few thousand dollars after already spending several thousand on my sons braces with Smiles of Katy. He needed a palatal expander which we are doing now (with another ortho) since his teeth were not even aligned properly with Smiles of Katy. I decided not to reach out to this office anymore not even for asking for at least a partial refund. After my account was cleared.... I again received another bill in the mail and we have not even gone back to this location so I am not sure how that bill continues to come back. I hope this office gets it together its such a nice office but there seems to be lack of communication or training.

Fantastic experience: This place is the best! All of the personnel are so helpful and pleasant to work with. The doctors are trained in Multiple disciplines, and are quite knowledgeable. Patient comfort during procedures is exceptional. The surroundings are very comfortable, and I really can’t give this office anything the highest praise!

Negative experience: Went in for pain on left side of my mouth and I’m realistic I get it I haven’t been to the dentist . After spending two hours there and being told i need all this work done. I’m told well we aren’t doing anything today but getting ur plan ready . A minute ago I was getting 165$ worth of stuff done but I asked why on that side when I’m not in pain , then they come back and tell me never mind we will just reschedule you and send u home with ur estimates $$$$ ok fine but what about my pain these people took me to the side and I was speaking with the doctor while he explained everything and how i understood still a little frustrated but then this lady who I have only seen twice to tell me how much my next cost would be steps in and says “ you said u were in pain in ur gums “ lady I have been telling u all I came in for pain on my left side ,, dr. Pham said my pain was subjective and no one knows except me if I don’t say anything but this was my whole reason for going. Then ferther he told me the ladies in the office said I was disgruntled and I was upset and ready to go after two hours and no work or medicine ,, i did indeed get super disgruntled when the lady decided to argue with me about MY PAIN. and wasn’t even the nurse helping me ,, then as I walked out I could see both front desk ladies side eying me so instead of waiting I just said email me my paperwork / referral if I don’t owe anything . I know the whole place was gossiping about me already which is very unprofessional and to be told by the doctors that I was Disgruntled lol trust me I could have made a huge scene but I decided to walk out . No call or email to follow after this incident either … I’ll be honest at first it seemed to be a good fit and this is only my experience and too bad Dr. Pham is in the crossfire because the rude Hispanic lady ( who also thought it was cute to tell me “ this is what happens when u don’t go to the dentist “ I said it’s true I’m sure but why would a dental office talk to I like this. Anyways good luck . Thanks for ur help Dr. Pham u explained it better please communicate with your staff about the facial expressions arguing with people making rude comments to patients especially first time new patients

Negative experience: Horrible experience with the front office ladies. My daughter came in crying after her appointment. Yes she has cavities but is not a reason to be gossiping and making their own conclusions on why she have her teeth with cavities etc. Not ethical or professional. The visit was not free my insurance covered it and I pay for the insurance. Which means that I'm not paying to have my kids criticize for someone else. The conversation was in Spanish and guess what they are bilingual and understand your comments. I choose this place for the good reviews. Experienced with the doctor was great. But please make sure your front office is nice and that they respect other patients.

Fantastic experience: I decided to try this dental office because I passed by their booth at the Cane Island market and they seemed so nice! I was a little hesitant because of some recent reviews. It must have been a previous doctor that these reviews are about because she is no longer at this practice. Dr. Moreno is great! She explained things so well, and made me feel at ease. I also saw Maggie as my hygienist and she was so sweet. I’ve definitely found my new dentist! I can’t recommend this place enough, and the office is beautiful. For anyone with doubts on coming, don’t listen to these past reviews.
