Flourish Pediatric Dentistry Dr. Jaibum Kim

Negative experience: We’ve been bringing our child to this clinic for two years and were very happy with Dr. Kim. However, we recently saw a different provider who diagnosed cavities that our trusted adult dentist confirmed do not exist. When we tried to reschedule to see our original provider, we were charged a fifty-dollar fee despite the clinic being closed starting Friday at 1:00 PM and throughout the entire weekend, leaving us no window to make changes. We are very disappointed with this lack of transparency and the unnecessary fees, and urge other parents to double-check diagnoses.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Kim is amazing. He has taken care of my sons for almost 9 years, and we are so happy with him and the entire staff. This is truly the best place in Katy!

It was my daughters first time going to the dentist, Kimberly booked my appointment appropriately and walked me through what to expect. Everyone that works there is so kind, and so is the doctor. Dr.Kim was patient and educated well! If you are looking for a place for your kiddos Flourish is the perfect place!

Fantastic experience: This was our first time visiting Flourish and to say how much we loved the entire experience is an understatement. We had a terrible first experience at another dental office and are just so thrilled we found Flourish. Our daughter absolutely LOVED the play area that was a little market. It made her wish the wait was long although it wasn’t, which I appreciated. The facility is SO clean and well maintained which is extremely refreshing to see at a dental office. Dee, the dental hygienist that cleaned our 22 month old’s teeth was so patient with her despite her tears and resistance and made the cleaning experience so much less stressful. She did such a good job of managing the environment and was so nice and caring to our daughter. Dr. Kim was thorough on his exam of her teeth and answered all of our questions without rushing us. He also did a wonderful job of managing the resistance to the exam. Again, I know it’s not easy having such a young patient but I can absolutely tell this team loves what they do and truly cares for their patients, and as a parent I just greatly appreciate that in any care provider. Our daughter even got a fun prize at checkout which again made the hard experience bearable for her and she left with a smile on her face. 10/10 recommend Flourish. Looking forward to the six month checkups and implementing our new best practices for dental hygiene in between visits!

Fantastic experience: Our first visit at Flourish today went amazing. The staff made our daughter feel very comfortable and all of them greeted us welcomingly. Dr. Kim went over all options and didn’t automatically recommend general anesthesia like most places we’ve been to. Highly recommend this pediatric dentist!

Fantastic experience: I definitely reccomend Dr Kim and his team at flourish paediatric dentistry. They’re always on time, patient with our kids and make them feel very comfortable. My son fell earlier this year and broke the root of his front tooth and they were able to see him right before closing (and stayed past their business hours) to sedate and remove the tooth. They made a potentially traumatic experience for my son not so scary and he came out smiling. Their new location is beautiful, tvs above every exam chair and a fun kids play area in the waiting room. We love coming here!

Fantastic experience: An amazing team that always take great care of my kids! Their office is brand new, in great condition, and makes my kids feel comfortable. Dr. Kim is meticulous and answers all of my questions.

Negative experience: Office and rooms were dirty. Dr was fine but the hygienist tried to be forceful and was rude. Since our little one was reluctant at first, she suggested anesthesia in our first visit so we left. Felt like they were trying to get more patients in and out than quality care. We ended up going back to our old dentist, who did not need anesthesia and completed the cleaning just fine.

Fantastic experience: Dr Kim is very professional and friendly to my kids. The clinic also is very clean and I am always comfortable with whatever decision he makes regarding my kids teeth. My daughter had an abscess under her molar and he did the great job removing it and the tooth as well without my daughter being in pain. My son also had a tongue tie as a baby so he wasn't able to breastfeed until the doctor removed it and he was able to breastfeed immediately afterwards. I highly recommend his clinic.

Fantastic experience: My son needed several crowns and we saw Dr. Kim for a second opinion but eventually decided to go with Flourish Pediatric Dentistry because Dr. Kim walked us through our son’s X-ray in details and educated us on process of the procedure. After my son’s procedure, Dr. Kim kindly made sure my husband and I didn’t have any additional questions. We will make him our kid’s primary dentist. Also shoutout to Stephanie at the front desk whom walked us through filing medical claim and really checked up on my son after his procedure. Her kindness made a difference.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Kim and team are great! We have had some pretty bad experiences at other dentist office and so both kids were nervous and upset at our initial visit. The team was calm, kind, and sweet and walked them through everything being done. We have been there over a year now and my kiddos are not stressed about the dentist. One is still anxious but gets through it without tears or anything. Had a few procedures done, fillings, spacers, etc and it was smooth and done well. Definitely recommend this office and team.

Fantastic experience: Every time we when to dentist office, we always hear kids cry, scream or yell. But this place is the best place for kids. I do not hear any sound of these. The welcome atmosphere for kids with books, toys and cartoons. My son loves it, and the first time I like woa, “I am so proud of you,” to my son. Dr. Kim very care and patient. He asks us all the detail and experiences we have. He pays more attention to my son medical record to make sure everything okay. All of the staffs here are also sweet and care. I also like the way they send me the text for filling information before my appointment. It saves our time of waiting. It is place for my son from now on and will recommend this place to all my friends and relatives

Fantastic experience: We were referred to flourish dental by our pediatrician and have been so happy with our choice. Dr. Kim has been taking care of our girls teeth since they were little. He has helped our oldest with a frenectomy and helped calm the nerves of our anxious child as well. The office is clean and very child friendly and the staff is so kind and understanding each visit.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Kim and his staffs are great. We had been with Dr. Kim for 2 years now. This month, March 2024, our son had a situation with his baby tooth. The office arranged a same day appointment, and Dr. Kim quickly takes care of the situation removing the baby tooth with a root 3 times longer than normal. Highly recommend Dr. Kim.

Fantastic experience: We love Flourish! Even though it's not the closest pediatric dentist to where we live, we don't mind the commute because we've only had a wonderful experience every time we go. From the waiting room to the check-up, the entire practice is focused on making sure the child is safe and comfortable, and even have some fun. Dr. Kim is always professional and we trust his judgment and opinion on our daughter's dental care (like opting to get a crown, watching out for potential future cavities, etc.). Plus, at the end of each visit, our daughter gets a token to use on one of their many toy machines to get a free prize. How cute!

My son had an underbite, and with his guidance and referral to an orthodontist. My son's underbite was corrected in less than a year. I was referred to Dr. Kim by another mom because I was not happy with Kidstown Dental. I am glad I made the move and stuck with Dr. Kim. Office is very clean. Staff is super nice. Fantastic experience: My younger child had quite a few cavities. After discussing treatment plan, Dr Kim was so kind to work with us with minimum anesthesia usage. For the first cavity filling treatment visit, in order to calm down my child's anxiety, he whistled calming tunes for my child. During the second visit we just had today, he patiently talked to my child during the process and asked him to work with him. I really appreciate the effort he made to make both of the treatment visits smoothly done. We are very lucky to have him as the dentist for our kids.
