Fantastic experience: The doctor and hygienist as well as other staff are very nice and friendly. This doctor doesn't waste your time and is very efficient, and tells you if you're doing well taking care of your teeth as well as if there are things you need to improve on.

The Dr told me honestly in his personal opinion on what I wanted to have done he would not waste his money on in his professional opinion. Honesty right from the start. Great job everyone.

Negative experience: Avoid this office. They are currently under investigation for fraud. They billed my insurance for a cleaning that was not performed. There was no flossing, polishing, or scraping. I did not experience the gritty taste you usually have to deal with when you get a cleaning. The only tool that was used, was one that reminded me of a water pik. The dentist sprayed roughly 4 of my front teeth, that's it. I asked the dentist, why did I come here only for a water floss? Had I received a cleaning, I wouldn't have asked why I came there only for a water floss. The dentist identified cavities, said they’d be treated next visit, then didn’t address them at all. One has since cracked (completely preventable.) I got conflicting explanations when I questioned it, and my insurance confirmed the correct pre-authorization was never even submitted. The dentist was also very temperamental and ultimately told me to find a new provider and hung up on me. Based on my experience, the other 1-star reviews are accurate. If they respond trying to misrepresent what happened, I will update this review with additional details. Just know, when you factually correct them w/ information provided by your insurance, the goal post will continue to be pushed back further and further. The dentist here is very emotional, especially when he gets caught lying.

Negative experience: Dentist is very rough and acts like he’s being inconvenienced. Probably the worst cleaning experience of my life. Why is the dentist performing cleanings….isn’t that what a hygienist is for?? Very rude and condescending approach with crappy bedside manner. I have an appointment for fillings in a week, but canceling because I’d rather eat glass and stick needles in my eyes simultaneously (less pain)…

Fantastic experience: Took good care of me great customer service

Negative experience: The assistant was an angel, but when I tell you the vibes changed every time the Dr walked in. He came in talked to me gave me 1 numbing shot and left. He then came back and almost immediately started basically reprimanding the assistant bc the room needed vacuuming. While doing so gave me another shot (with NO warning) I literally jumped bc I was so startled. Once he left the room I looked at her and told her that I didn’t find it very professional of him to speak about that in front of clients. He came back to start my filling, did so. Once he was finished I noticed a piece that was still super rough and the assistant felt it with her own finger nail so he came back in and tried to gas light me that it was my gums. At one point I had to look at him and say “no, you are NOT listening to me” he then proceeded to take his anger out passive aggressively on my tooth. The drill was held on it so long that it started to burn and I started CRYING. Only then is when it stopped. Then told me there is no way I should be feeling anything. And that I couldn’t have felt pain blah blah blah. At that point I didn’t even want to let him touch my tooth anymore but was told that no more drilling would be done that he was just polishing the tooth. I reluctantly let him. (Mind you I had swerved him going back into my mouth already once before that) yes my tooth is technically and I mean technically fixed (didn’t really see the issue with it before as I had no pain or sensitivity) and now I have extreme sensitivity to warm AND cold things which was never a problem. I truly feel my teeth health has severely declined since going to this place which is SO ODD. Shouldn’t it be the other way around? This is not included the fact that they lost my crown and then GHOSTED ME. literally once again had to reach out and tell them how unprofessional they are to get a response and appointment

Fantastic experience: I was having excruciating tooth pain. I tried to get into U of I College of dentistry with no luck. I made a dozen phone calls and no one would take my insurance or they weren't accepting new patients. A friend messaged me and said try Rapids Dental. They got me in fast and took my pain very seriously. They were a life saver. The front desk women are very friendly, also. I am just so grateful I found them and that I no longer have to suffer.

Fantastic experience: I am not the patient, but my daughter is and she is absolutely delighted with the dentist and all the staff. She says she would not go anywhere else. We drive from Waterloo to Cedar Rapids. Thats says everything. The dentist is compassionate, talks everything thru with her. He makes sure to make it so she never feels even a little discomfort. She is thrilled and that makes me thrilled.

Negative experience: The front desk lady is completely rude and talks out of turn. Doesn't know her job. The doctor is extremely arrogant tries to demand you to listen when he doesn't show you the same respect. I had to complain about the pain that I had after having the truth extracted and he did not seem to care. He tried to prescribe me Tylenol three and put on the prescription bottle that it would last 12 hours. The website itself says it only last 4 to 6.Would never recommend this place to anyone that I cared about hands-down one of the worst experiences I've ever had.

Negative experience: Amazing receptionist but questionable doctors. Last November I had an emergency situation come up and they were more than happy to see me and went above and beyond to get me in. I was a little surprised when the doctor proceeded to place in a filling with his fingers. The process was not anything I was used to, besides having several fillings in my lifetime. I felt so uncomfortable about it and ended up getting a 2nd opinion. The other dentist told me there a cavity missed and the filling was placed over top of it. In addition, the material they used is something they had never seen before. I was so glad I got that 2nd opinion and had things fixed properly but do not plan on returning.

Fantastic experience: I have seen Dr. Vidadi many times now. He is kind, thoughtful and engaging. His staff is friendly and informed. They are patient and easy to talk to. Benny is fantastique! The front desk ladies are super funny! :) The waiting room and dental areas in the back are clean and comfortable. The parking lot has plenty of room, not that I have ever waited long to be seen as the check in process is very thorough and quick. I have never encounter any problems in all my visits.

Fantastic experience: Late Wednesday evening I was chewing on some milk duds and one of my back molars busted off at the gum line. My husband texted Rapids Dental explaining what happened and included a picture. The next morning he received a texted back stating that they could get me in at 2:00. When we arrived I was taken back almost immediately. An x-ray was taken and the dentist numbed my mouth. It took some serious effort on his part, but he got it out in one piece. My mouth was sore and swollen, still is, but I am glad I was able to get it taken care of so quickly. My bill, since I don't have dental insurance, was extremely reasonable. With everything skyrocketing in price it's nice to know I don't have to sell a kidney to get dental work done. Thank you Rapids Dental. You guys rock!! I have never lived going to the dentist but everyone at Rapids Dental is so sweet and kind it's almost enjoyable. I strongly recommend going there for all your dental needs. Koodoes!

Fantastic experience: My girlfriend's mouth guard broke within a short period. The people at Rapids Dental recognized that as not quite right, and took immediate steps to correct the problem without any additional charges. Dr. Vaddadi did a great job with both of us.

Positive experience: It’s been a while but, when I went the doctor was excellent and the assistant tried their best to keep me calm though they had suggested pulling 4 or 5 teeth in one session while using local anesthesia but, due to anxiety they gave me the option to stop after the worst ones were pulled. They were quite understanding.

Negative experience: Every time i make an appointment they always call me to reschedule it the week before. Most people need 2 weeks notice to request time off. Extreme inconvenient and unprofessional.

Positive experience: Skilled Dentist, but he is always rushing and overlapping appointments so doesn't feel like I get focused attention as a patient. Primary scheduling and office comm is through texting, which can be convenient, but not always the most effective to answer procedure questions.

Negative experience: I wish I could give no stars! This was the most unprofessional, unpleasant experience,I have ever had at a dentist! Any cleaning I have had takes 30 minutes to an hour. This took 10 mins tops. The dentist himself even applied polish with his FINGER. The office currently is also operating without a hygienist. If you don't want to be traumatized by super uncaring ,unsteady hands. I wouldn't recommend this place!

Fantastic experience: They were quick and efficient with cleaning my teeth. They helped take off some posts from my old retainer that had been left behind. They even did a quick filling on one of my teeth that lost part of a filling.

Negative experience: Decided to check out because my tooth cracked, not impressed. The way the doctor referred to things about my teeth and the situation just rubbed me the wrong way. I will be driving an hour and a half just to have dental work done because that was just an unprofessional visit. Don't waste your time!

Fantastic experience: I went to Rapids Dental because I was told they would take my insurance. Other Dentists wouldn’t! I found that the people there were very good at what they do! I got full dentures from them that fit perfectly the first time. Very nice people that made everything go smoothly. This is my third set of dentures I’ve had-over the years and this set couldn’t have gone any easier!! They’re very good at what they do!

Fantastic experience: I would recommend this dentist to everyone. The employees are professional and friendly. They explain everything they are doing throughout the entire visit. Dr. Vaddadi is quick with his work and thorough. He cares about making sure the patient isn't feeling any pain and if you do have pain, he asks you to stop him so he can numb the area a little more. I've never been to a dentist that has done that. I had a root canal yesterday and it was quick. I didn't feel a thing during the procedure and after the numbness went away and even today, I haven't had any pain at all.

Positive experience: The dental hygenest that I had was wonderful. I was nervous and have PTSD about going to the dentist after having my jaw broken and all my teeth knocked out. She explained everything they do to get new dentures and was very kind. She made me feel comfortable and trusting. I was very impressed with her body art and think it is wonderful she is allowed to proudly display it. So far my new dentures experience has been good. I'll have several appointments and now I'm not as nervous which I'm grateful for.

Negative experience: Worst dental experience I have ever had in my entire life. I feel sorry for the employees of this man. I do not recommend seeing this dentist unless you have already attended dental college, because if you haven't he will treat you as if you do not know anything about your own mouth. This dentist did not treat me this way only once but every visit I went to see him. Due to the fact that I was having dentures made I tried to tolerate the mistreatment, but now I am sitting here with dentures I cannot use and him refusing to work on them . If I would have insisted that they continue to try to make them fit properly he was going to require me to sign documentation stating from that point on that they were no longer responsible for what happens to the dentures. We had not finished the process of adjusting them but he refused to listen to me and how they were not fitting, and has refused to complete the work. The top plate digs into my gums when I try to chew, and the bottom plate moves every time I talk, and I cannot eat if I have either plate in my mouth.
