Fantastic experience: Had a bicycle accident around 4pm. Could not find a dentist to get me in right away. East Cooper Smiles did, and they did a wonderful job. They were all so friendly and affordable. We now have a new dentist.

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience from start to finish! I was able to get a last-minute cleaning, and the front desk staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The hygienist did an excellent job, and Dr. Annan was very welcoming and professional—his introduction really put me at ease. I’m already looking forward to my next cleaning and wouldn’t consider going anywhere else if you’re looking for a great dentist!

Fantastic experience: I was visiting family in the area and had my veneer pop up while eating dried mango! I was so surprised I was able to be seen within an hour of frantically calling for an urgent appointment. I will say I absolutely hate going to the dentist anywhere and this was by far one of if not the BEST experience I have ever had at any dentist office. They were efficient, polite, and the dentist had incredible bed side manner...very kind, warm, and thoughtful. A gentle experience and I left with a veneer repair in less than 30 minutes. The bill was more than fair so I found the pricing exceptional for an urgent appointment. I've never left a dentist office thinking it was a positive experience and this was a first. Great staff. Fair. Kind. Can't beat that. Wasn't upsold on anything unnecessary which I also appreciated. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Anaan and his incredible team at East Cooper Smiles. While on vacation, I cracked a tooth and needed emergency dental work. I was extremely stressed and in pain, but Dr. Anaan personally called me back within the hour at 6:30 AM and found a way to squeeze me in that very same morning even though I was not a regular patient— absolutely above and beyond. But it didn’t stop there. For my follow-up visit, I had to drive in from Charlotte, and Dr. Anaan actually came in on his day off, on a weekend, and with a torn hamstring just to make sure I was taken care of. That level of commitment and compassion is incredibly rare! The procedure itself went flawlessly, and the quality of the work was top-notch. My regular dentist in Charlotte confirmed that the procedure done by Dr. Anaan was excellent work. Both Dr. Anaan and his staff were not only highly professional but also incredibly friendly and accommodating throughout the entire experience. If you’re looking for a skilled, caring, and truly dedicated dentist, I can’t recommend Dr. Anaan enough.

The Hygiene staff provide expert care and are quite knowledgeable in their perio treatment. Fantastic experience: Let me start by saying I have a phobia of dental visits, like many. This office in ALL ways has been my best experience in my 50 years of life. Most recent visit (after over a year because I moved to Johns Island) Dr. Annan asked about my health (he remembered I was a 2x cancer survivor) and remembered my career in 2022 was in media…how in the world could someone be so attentive with so many patients? And every hygienist I have had has been wonderful…like my teeth are so clean and I want them to hang out with me after :)

Tia (Dr. Annan's assistant) was able to help me calm my nerves and Dr. Annan was amazing with making sure I was not in pain prior to extracting my tooth! Aspen was claiming all kinds of work needed to be done which would equate to a significant cost. Was referred to East Cooper Smiles by my significant other. Went in to get one tooth worked on and ended up having everything taken care of! Note: Dr Annan was able to save the tooth!!! This is a friendly, honest, welcoming, knowledgeable practice. Fantastic experience: I was in the worst pain in my life, abscessed tooth that I had for a week. When it got so bad I tried calling around for emergency tooth problem, no one came close to trying to see me. When I got there I was rushed back , my situation was asest and they removed my troublesome tooth that visit. Honest to God relief. I recommend this dentistry over anyone in mount pleasant. Over anyone in the surrounding counties. Ladies up front so nice and experienced on insurance and Medicare issues. Dentist assistants are the very best I ever had at any dentist office. Negative experience: Don’t bother trying to book your appointment six months in advance. If the hygienist is out of the office they won’t re book your appointment for another six months. They’ll only give you less than 24 hours notice that your appointment is being cancelled. When you call to figure out what’s going on the receptionist will hang up on you if the conversation isn’t going her way. I’ve been a patient for a while, I’m truly disappointed in how this office has changed. I would not recommend this office to anyone given how they don’t try to accommodate their patients. I am moving cross country and planned my move around this appointment. The best I got was a hang up by the receptionist. Seriously disappointed. Hopefully this gets across to Dr. Annan and he will react to the employee accordingly.

Recently one of the screws came loose and within a day they were able to get me in to see Dr Annan who tightened things up. Unfortunately Dr Annan let me know one of the implants was failing which happens and explained my options to me. Finally that is the most important thing about seeing Dr Annan which is he will never tell you what you want to hear but rather he will always be honest and tell you like it is. His parents are our next door neigbors -- we moved here almost 3 months ago -- and are outstanding people Therefore we expected no less of their son: friendliness, helpfulness, and competence. We found all of that. Dr. Annon is going to be our dentist from here on out. Today I had my teeth cleaned, and Betty did a very thorough job, which was not in the least unpleasant. I also liked the simple, non-fancy and kid-friendly office, a smallish wooden house surrounded by beautiful trees and shrubs, while the dental instruments were up-to-date hi-tech. Doris Leffingwell A couple of years later, May 2016, I returned for some major work. A molar with a root canal had caused great pain off and on for years because an infection underneath, which repeatedly was quieted with antibiotics, finally had to be extracted. The somewhat feared procedure hardly hurt at all, because Dr. Annon took it out piecemeal. Astounding! My evaluation stays with the 5 stars.
