After almost a year-long journey that included bite correction, orthodontics, and restorative cosmetic work, the results exceeded every expectation I had. Early this year, I came to Dr. Rink wanting the fastest path to the best possible outcome with no shortcuts. He and his team heard me, steered me straight, and delivered exactly what I needed. Dr. Rink carefully laid out this process: a referral to Dr. Katie Bullwinkel at Vincent & Bullwinkel Orthodontics to first do the work of correcting my “edge on edge" bite, followed by retainers, then ultimately the “main event” restorative work with Dr. Rink to achieve an incredible smile transformation. Every stage was coordinated, professional, and personalized. What really stands out is the customer experience behind Dr. Rink’s professional perfectionism. Fantastic experience: We started my partner’s oral health and aesthetic journey with Dr. Rink and his team. My partner was blessed with a healthy intact smile until an incident in Afghanistan 20 years ago. There is so much trauma surrounding this journey - beyond a very apparent fear of dental and orthodontia care from my partner - there is PTSD, shame, and physical discomfort involved in this process for him. I saw my partner, a very accomplished, handsome, intelligent, strong man, show uncertainty and there was a very real possibility his consultation could make things worse if it wasn’t handled a certain way. I’m a little emotional writing this because our consultation with Dr. Rink and his colleague Lauren was everything I could have hoped it would be. They have perfected the art of compassion and science, medical care and honoring the human experience… I am so grateful for them. We made the most significant and beneficial steps forward we could have made by going to Dr. Rink.

Fantastic experience: I was really disappointed when my former dentist retired, but went to Dr Rink on a friend’s enthusiastic endorsement. I had only seen him once; he referred me to a colleague for a complicated procedure. When I developed a little trouble after the procedure I called up Dr Rink’s office & the office staff got me in quickly. Very nice people. I’m not much for reviewing, but the way they & Dr Rink handled my problem deserves some recognition. I wasn’t even a regular at the time, but I certainly am now. I’m not an internet/social media person, so I don’t know if I am actually doing the right thing here. Got a text from Dr Rink’s office after my visit yesterday so clicked on it & it took me here. Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience! Dr. Rink was extremely knowledgeable and thoughtful. He was honest and transparent with his recommendations. He does not push a business agenda, rather provides careful individualized consults for each patient’s need.

Negative experience: Unfriendly staff,, dr. came in closed door with nurse, (unfriendly) stuck me in the ear, to take a look, (why was I here?) "earache" "yes that hurt"! dr. says "I am going to prescribe drops, come and see me when they are gone". He and nurse leave. checking out, ...do I want to pay MORE money? NO, I already paid $55.00 co-pay, I Do have insurance. Made a two week appointment, however, thinking I will not go back. Picked up prescription, $108.00 "I DO have insurance"....$10.00 prescriptions.....but I paid it anyway. I do have earache. But wait it was my left ear....drops, "two drops in right ear twice daily, see dr. after they are gone". hmmmmm "right ear", NO it was My left ear !!! Did the drops, 4 days later another bill!!! $45.87??? called the office ENT, "if the dr. uses anything, meaning cotton ball, q-tip, stethoscope, you (patient) have to pay". $208.87 for nothing, not even the "right" ear!!!!!

Fantastic experience: I used to hate to go to the dentist until I started going to this one. The office is state of the art & modern making everyone’s visit pleasurable. They are organized and have a wonderful caring staff. Dr Rink & his staff go to all the latest educational seminars & have all the latest equipment that makes anyone not dread going to the dentist. He was the first dentist in Charleston to earn the accreditation from the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. I feel he & his staff really care about me and my overall health besides just my teeth. They are the best!

Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Dr Rink for my dental care for more than 14 years now. Everytime I go for cleaning (like today), or repair, or restoration, I am reminded about how lucky I am to be a CCCR patient. Dr Rink saved my teeth (I am 74). His hygienists do a spectacular job of cleaning and counseling and making me comfortable, and everyone at the front desk makes me feel like family. Today was no different. Love this office!!

Fantastic experience: My first visit to Dr. John Rink's office was awesome. My experiences were every bit of the same great reviews I had read on line. John Rink is just a good man. A man that loves the Lord and obviously cares for the well being of his patients. In addition, what an awesome group in his office. There are smiles every where you turn and it is obvious that the staff enjoy working there and enjoy each other.

Fantastic experience: I had veneers done overseas back in February, and it was a nightmare. I ended up with constant, excruciating pain because the procedure wasn’t done properly - my teeth weren’t sealed right, my bite was off, and the work was too close to my roots, leading to multiple root canals. Back home and desperate for help, I called Dr. Rink’s office and spoke with Sheralyn, who was an angel from the get-go. She understood my pain and got me in to see Dr. Rink right away. Sheralyn answered my many questions and concerns, her level of customer service is unmatched. After assessing the situation, Dr. Rink recommended removing the veneers, explaining that they would continue to cause problems because of the way they were done. The decision to move forward was an easy one. Dr. Rink's unparalleled knowledge made me feel like I was in the right hands. Megan, who assisted during my treatment, made the visits feel like I was catching up with an old friend. From the initial call with Sheralyn to my visits with Dr. Rink and Megan, the care was top-notch. Honestly, I can’t sing high enough praises for Dr. Rink and his incredible crew. Despite the complexity of my case, they came up with a solid plan and tackled it with such compassion and kindness, well beyond what I’d hoped. Fantastic experience: My personal association with Dr Rink and his team has been over 30 years in the making. With my retirement in the near future, I finally extended my dental care beyond the bi-annual cleanings to include: 1. The Whitening of my teeth with many years of coffee stains. 2. The Balance of crown work on teeth with receded gums ...three required to finish my goals established a several years prior.Probably saved a fortune on cracked teeth or root canals..ugh! 3. Restorative bonding on two teeth where my gums have receded extensively. 4. We've always appreciate the Doctors skill and myself, my wife and my son have all been aesthetically improved with Dr Rinks personal attention to detail at his office and his fabulous staff. You might note they all have great white smiles! We would recommend his personal attention and his teams personal attention to you; if you want to look and feel your best. Fantastic experience: Dr. Rink was a classmate of mine at UNC. I am a retired dentist and he was the one I picked. He is one of 125 dentists nationally who is AAACD certified for cosmetic dentistry. If you want a natural looking smile, he should be your go-to guy. The staff is amazing and his office is beautiful. He makes his porcelain work in house so he has control over the outcome to assure the correct shape and shade, ie the perfect match.

Fantastic experience: As soon as we walked inside, one of the nicest staff members was waiting for us to personally escort us to one of the rooms. Everyone, including Dr. Rink took a lot of time to go over what we needed, and made us feel welcomed and respected. It was a very warm and professional environment. In this day and age when many doctors are trying to get you in and out as quickly as possible, we never felt that with Dr. Rink and his staff. They truly cared about my daughter and her medical needs. I’ve never seen a medical staff so respectful and caring.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Rink and his staff are first rate! I took my elderly father in to have his dentures repaired. My Dad has dementia and is afraid to go to the dentist, so it was a challenge just to get him there. Dr. Rink’s staff was so accommodating to him, he was actually ok with being there! Dr. Rink examined him and was completely honest and informative. Due to my Dad’s lack of dental care for the last 4 years due to his dementia, his oral health was pretty bad. He is also on a blood thinner, and has some other issues, so he is a bit of a complicated case. Dr. Rink could do some of the work, but we would also have to see several other doctors (oral surgeon)etc. Dr. Rink suggested we try a prosthodontist who could do all of the work we need done at one location. By using a prosthodontist, it would lessen the trauma to Dad with having to see so many people. Dr. Rink even made phone calls to find us just the right one! What Dentist does this?!? I can’t recommend Dr. Rink and his staff highly enough!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Rink and his staff are absolutely phenomenal and I recommend them without hesitation. I had a minor emergency and they rearranged the schedule to get me in within 5 hours of calling (even though I’m not an established patient with their practice!), and then the repair went absolutely flawlessly. I would come to Dr. Rink for anything and everything dental in the future!
