Fantastic experience: I was extremely nervous coming in, but the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with a pleasant tone and a warm, welcoming spirit. When the dental staff came to get me, I got nervous all over again, but once again, I was met with comforting energy and a little humor, which I really appreciated! They got straight to it, explained my dental treatment plan, and gave me the opportunity to voice my questions and concerns. They met me right where I was and made sure I understood everything before moving forward. The dentist was AMAZING! He numbed me sooooo well and did a fantastic job. I had quite a bit of work done, including four fillings and a molar extraction, but I never felt rushed, and the appointment didn’t feel like it took all day. I was genuinely impressed! The dental professional who cleaned my teeth was equally amazing. Very informative, thorough but not unbearably rough, which I truly appreciated. From the front desk to the treatment room and all the way back to the front desk, I have ZERO complaints. I felt heard, respected, and genuinely cared for throughout my entire visit, and I’m truly appreciative of the entire team. If you’ve had bad dental experiences in the past or struggle with dental anxiety, PLEASE give them a try! You deserve to feel comfortable, cared for, and confident in your dental care, too. ❤️

Fantastic experience: Very caring staff, I went there and they explained everything to me. I finally seen what was really wrong with my teeth. And they know exactly what they're talking about, very friendly staff. I can tell you this race, don't matter at this place. They are definitely friendly. I didn't feel like I outcast. I advise anybody to come here and shop for your dental needs. Very wise and very, very nice people. Fantastic experience: 10.06.26–update: The new dental hygienist, Tiffany, is amazing!! She is thorough, very gentle, and gets it all done quickly!!! My husband and I both think she is fantastic!! Let me preface this by saying I have terrible anxiety when it comes to the dentist. The folks at Trident Dental in Hanahan make you feel so at ease, they bring humor and laughter to the office and you can tell they really enjoy theirs jobs. Dr. Weatherford is down to earth, listens to your concerns, and addresses them accordingly. I have nothing but good things to say about all the employees from the front office to the dental hygienists and doctor.

Fantastic experience: The environment is calm. The dentist are accommodating for sensitivity to light, sound, and of course teeth or gums. In a simplified way, they explain what they're going to do before they do it. They explain pricing multiple times and kindly clarify that you understand. I highly recommend Trident Dental to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience at this dental office! From the moment I walked in, the office was very clean and welcoming, and the staff was incredibly kind and professional. My exam and cleaning went great—my teeth have honestly never felt so clean. The provider was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything clearly while offering different treatment options without any pressure. I also don’t have dental insurance, but their in-house smile plan saved me a lot of money, which I really appreciated. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I highly recommend this office to anyone looking for quality dental care!

Fantastic experience: I was running late as usual but when I finally arrived I was treated as I was right on time I checked in sat down and was called right back to start my procedure.and the doctors went right to work .they sat me down got me comfortable ask me would I need something for pain and I replied I don't think so .well they tried a test just to double check my answer .once he was sure he went to removing the temporary and in just a few was fitting on the new one .another doctor came in checked out everything glued on the new crown .and everything was done in minutes.they worked as they have done this before .these guys work together so that your experience in the chair is a good one .I'm very pleased with the work their doing on my new smile.i have a few more visits to be complete but feel good about coming back ,so they can work their magic.thank you all at trident dental for being their for me and my family .sincerly Gary T Franklin

Charleston I don't think I saw them, yesterday for fitting my partials, May 22nd, and once again, Dr Al, and his team, are the best dental team, that I've ever had!

Millie was fantastic at helping me schedule my appointments and work around all the various things I had to work around to be able to visit. I don’t think my teeth have ever been cleaner! Sharon was meticulous and literally got in every crack and crevice of my smile. My son’s teeth looked amazing as well! His gums already showing signs of improvement. Doc was very knowledgeable and took special care with recommendations and ensuring I could see for myself what needed to be done. I’ll definitely be scheduling another visit in the future!

Fantastic experience: These folks saved my life, I was in agony clawing at the air literally whimpering, no appointment needed they took me in and did an emergency last second tooth extraction that went so well I’d have it done again just to spend more time with them!! They were courteous and helpful and caring as heck!!! 10/10 5 stars isn’t enough for the expert work the team at trident dental provided! Fantastic experience: The whole staff at this office was heaven sent. Because I don't have any dental insurance, I took my time with getting treatment. On Sunday, I started experiencing some discomfort in my left jaw along with severe swelling. I called this office on Monday and they scheduled me right away. I had developed an abcess that gotten extremely infected. And the swelling in my jaw was preventing me from eating and talking. On 1/15/25 I was scheduled for one tooth extraction, but ended up needing two, due another abcess developing on another tooth. Dr. Weatherford and his assistant were so much patience and understanding. They made this experience so comfortable and quick, I hardly felt anything. I'm so appreciative of everyone in that office for making this stressfull experience peaceful.

Fantastic experience: i don’t even know where to start…. i’ll just say AMAZING SERVICE!! i had an emergency and needed a tooth pulled asap. i have 0 insurance and they got me in within the following hour and made me feel so at home as a brand new patient. i have a HUGE fear of dentist due to some trauma from my past and i can say my fear subsided after the dr and assistant spoke to me and told me i was in great care. i had a tooth pulled & was out of the office within 30 minutes. what a relief!! i am definitely going back for my follow ups and any further dental needs. thank you to the dr and assistant that assisted me yesterday with my slight panic attack. BEST SERVICE EVER! 10/10 RECOMMEND

Everyone is so lovely, from Millie at the front desk who goes out of her way to help with the insurance/payment of it all, to Dr.Weatherford and his dental team who make you feel at ease and take such good care of you! They make everything easy and are so accommodating, I called about a small chip in my tooth and a few hours later it looks better than ever. Dr. Weatherford is kind, compassionate, and professional--bonus points for being military. He really took the extra step in making sure I was comfortable and cared for. The entire office staff was so warm and welcoming, great location, beautiful & clean facility, and I walked out with very clean teeth :) Highly recommend!

Negative experience: These are very nice people, very good at what they do, and very good at dealing with unreasonable people, which I can be on some occasions. I've been going there for about forty years now, and have no plans to change.

Fantastic experience: As someone who has intense dental anxiety, the idea of going to the dentist is usually unbearable. After an infected tooth became excruciatingly painful, I made an emergency call the day before thanksgiving to this location and they fit me right in! They are so beyond kind, professional, comforting and more. I could not have had a better experience getting a tooth pulled. Thank you so much to the team, everyone was incredible and really made me feel at ease. I dont even live locally, but I will definitely be back to this location the next time I need some help. Thank you again to the whole team, you are all rockstars.

I want to give a special shout out to sandy at the front desk she was very sweet, I was having issues with my insurance and she did everything she possibly could to help me out, and gave me many resources to try and help towards my situation. She’s absolutely great and so kind. Some of the staff is also bilingual (I know is a huge plus for some people.) great establishment!

She deserves a raise and paid vacation in my opinion ♥️❤️ Update August 2024 Miss Millie helped me with my new insurance plan, explaining everything and kindly helping me get the best treatment available as soon as possible. She always looks out for me ❤️ I recently moved and thought about switching dentists, but I don't think I'd get the level of treatment and care that I receive at Trident Dental any place else.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Weatherford did an amazing job fixing a chip in my front tooth. I can’t even tell where the repair is. It’s flawlessly blended both by look and feel. Sharon was great on the cleaning side… but don’t admit you’re an intermittent flosser… she is a passionate advocate for flossing!

I am a nurse by trade however this was not shared til much later in my appointment. Therefore, they are genuinely compassionate. After having various traumas including dental trauma whoever handle me have to compassionate. I recommend my family and friends come to Trident Dental in Hanahan. God bless this team!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Y'all. If I could give more than five stars, I would. I moved to South Carolina almost two years ago and had put off going to the dentist because I was scared and hated it. I felt like Millie and I were BFF's before I even met her due to how many times I called and rescheduled. I finally secured an appointment and told myself that I was going to commit. Dr. Weatherford called me a few days before my appointment literally just to introduce himself and ask if I had any questions or concerns before the appointment, which has never happened in any of my medical/dental experiences. I got there and was greeted by Millie and Sandy at 8:00 am sharp with infectious smiling. Sharon was my dental hygienist and was the absolute sweetest and kindest to me, knowing that I was nervous. She made me feel comfortable through conversation and her gentle approach to my care. Dr. Weatherford came in and informed me that I had two minor cavities that needed filling. I was eager to get back, and Sandy was able to get me in that afternoon. I arrived back at the end of the day for the appointment and Kessa called me to go into the room. She informed me of what the entire process would entail so that I felt comfortable. Kessa and Dr. Weatherford made an incredible team. Yes, I know this sounds cheesy, but their presence felt like a warm hug in the form of a person. Kessa told me I could squeeze her hand or do whatever I needed to feel better. At check out, I chatted with Millie and Sandy who I felt genuinely cared about my experience and me as a person. They so graciously imparted their "adulting" wisdom on me. So I left that appointment with way more than just a filling! This one experience genuinely altered my feelings towards the dentist. I know that come September, or if I need to go sooner, I will not be nearly as nervous as I was before coming in this morning. I understand this review is long, but the team deserves the praise (also shoutout Maria, the hygienist who speak five languages) and I also hope it can help anyone else who gets anxious about the dentist :)

Negative experience: The doctor did a 5 minute examination on me and decided I needed 2 crowns and 5 cavities and multiple sealants. 8k worth of treatment. I went to Dr Owen in Summerville for a second opinion and he found 2 cavities. Absolutely ridiculous for there to be that big of a difference. Obviously out for the money.
