Fantastic experience: This is the best experience I've ever had with a dentist including the dental staff and office staff . After the exam done at my initial appointment I was given a treatment plan and boy-howdy did I need a lot of work done. At each step, I had friendly, courteous service by people who obviously care about the safety and comfort of their clients. I highly recommend them.

Positive experience: Very positive. Cute little waiting room where I did not have to wait long. Everyone was helpful and friendly; exam was fine. I was hoping there would be a cleaning involved as part of the exam, but I had to make a separate appt—not happy about that.

Fantastic experience: This is a real dental office. They aren't the kind that tell you that you need to have teeth pulled and then get dental implants. They maintain your own teeth if possible. I enjoy going to the dentist office here. I moved here from Cincinnati and had a dentist that was just like this office. Thanks for making feel right at home, here in Florida.

I got a great check up but the doctor also gave good advice on how to continue keeping my teeth healthy. All the staff are wonderful. You'll be glad you chose this dentist.

Fantastic experience: Friendly from the moment I walked in being greeted and checked in by Ali. Once called back, I was treated by Kimber and Dr. Doan. You hear the often used term 'Gentle Dental'. These folks are that and beyond. Caring...compassion....concern.....communicative. Dr. Doan did an in-depth exam on a problem tooth, explaining anything and everything along the way. Once completed, you are provided with an outline of what treatment you must have, should have and could have. All with the associated costs. No pressure whatsoever. I have been on this earth 70 years, never, I mean never have I had a dental experience like this. I made my follow-up appointment without fear or despair. A well run organization exceeded only by its own people.

Fantastic experience: I don't usually write reviews, but I was so excited about this that I had to share my AMAZING experience. I recently turned 65 and am trying o get up-to-date with my health and appearance. After getting a check up and cleaning at Dr. Doan's office, I knew that my teeth needed some work, if I wanted to improve my appearance. I had a space, some chips, some areas where there had been gum recession and discoloration. I thought that my only option was to get crowns. Wrong....I now call Dr. Doan the ANTI-AGING DENTIST! She is truly an Artist! She put a resin veneer over my teeth that filled in spaces, straightened, and evened out the color. This was all done in a few hours, and at a fraction of the cost of crowns! It looks Great and is by ar the first and most important thing I could have done to improve my appearance and self esteem. Dr. Doan is a Godsend! I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone who wants to look years younger!

Fantastic experience: I am terrified of going to a dentist. As a child I had some very unpleasant things happen with Army dentists. As an adult, I tried to get past that, but then I moved here to take care 0f my parents. My dad fell and needed dental work done from that fall. The dentist I took him to was really nice, he needed a bridge because he broke his parcel. It was a little over $12,000. I wrote a check for it, he had to be able to eat. When I decided to make an appointment for myself for cleaning, he said I needed over $12,000 worth of dental work. I made an appointment with Dr. Doan and she did not mention any needed items he had listed. Her staff is so nice and caring and she is awesome! Both my husband and I see her every 6 months, and I refer all my friends to her. Please make an appointment with her if you get an estimate for a lot of dental work needed. She the BEST.

Dr. Doan noticed my bite was off, saying the two teeth that were banging together is caused by old crowns not wearing down at the same rate as the regular teeth, some quick filing, pain gone! Extremely thorough and she showed me a trick with a dye that shows me if I am removing all the plaque with my brushing. She is the only one in all those years to take the time to show me. I came into this office years ago with severe cracks and staining, and a LOT of bad cavities after not understanding dental hygeine as a teenager. I had bad dental trauma but was in desperate need of changes to be made. Everyone in this office has been so warm to me, didn't shame me or make me feel embarrassed for the state my teeth were in, educated me and answered all of my questions, and have praised me and applauded me for staying consistent and pushing through a several year journey of completely fixing my teeth. The people in this office have truly healed me and my dental trauma and have given me confidence to smile freely. I'm so grateful for every single person at East Bay Dental! Fantastic experience: Great dental hygiene services for a family of 3 since 2019.

Negative experience: Scheduled a consultation to discuss an implant. Asked if we could do a cleaning since I was due. They would not. They also refused to give even a rough estimate on cost for an implant. I just found the lack of clarity to be a red flag and canceled. I find it really frustrating that the only way to get any pricing is to give them over $100 for a consult.

Fantastic experience: It's not everywhere that you get your questions answered completely and reliably both dental and insurance questions. Kimber, the dental assistant, showed me my cost for the visit up front. Dr Doan checked me over as thoroughly as any oral surgeon would. She then proceeded to fix my bite which has been off for about 5 years. She showed a lot of care to get it right, meaning that it felt right to me. I really appreciate that because I'm the one who had to live with that all those years. Dr Doan is obviously a detailed perfectionist. The following two days I went for expert teeth and gum cleaning by Karen who is an absolute gem. The office staff even took the time to compare my Dentegra with my Guardian plan contributions, educating me on how both work. They've got to be the most informative and caring staff I've seen since living in Florida for 16 years. That said, the prices I paid were quite a bit higher than my regular dentist. I had to consider whether I've had before was good enough and would it do for the rest of my life. I decided that it wasn't good enough. Yes, there is cheaper and competent dentistry out there and also there is more expensive. I trust Dr Doan's pricing is fair and fitting for the work she does. Also she takes Dentegra which I have through my original Medicare supplement. Most dentists do not. The bottom line is I'm 74 and I want to keep my teeth and I need expert dental care. I think I went to the right place.

You can tell that they not only care about each other amd love what they do where they do it but always go above and beyond to show their patients they care about them too. Fantastic experience: Best dental experience I’ve ever had! As a new patient, I expected an exam and X-rays etc, but I did not expect to have all of my questions and concerns addressed so thoroughly. I was able to see all of my X-rays, and Dr. Doan explained everything she saw and any concerns. She fixed a couple of small bite and cosmetic issues on the spot and I was given a very detailed print out of all upcoming procedures I need or I requested to have, including the prices for each. Everyone was friendly, helpful and professional. So glad I found Dr. Doan and her team!

Negative experience: I’ve always had a great experience with Dr. Amy Doan - she is professional, kind, and genuinely caring. This review, however, is specifically regarding her assistant dentist, Wendy. Unfortunately, my interaction with Wendy was disappointing. I arrived late to my appointment and apologized to Ally at the front desk, who was very understanding and helpful. When I was seated, I expressed some concerns about my treatment plan and asked Wendy for clarification, especially regarding pricing—even though I have insurance that should cover the treatment 100%. Instead of offering guidance or support, Wendy’s response was unprofessional and dismissive. She appeared visibly frustrated and told me, “You keep asking and asking me the same question, and I have no time for that—you were already late.” I was shocked by her tone and attitude, especially since I was simply trying to understand the treatment and costs involved. Due to this interaction, I did not feel comfortable proceeding with the treatment if Wendy was going to be involved. I ultimately chose to walk out without completing the appointment. To future patients: I still highly recommend Dr. Amy and appreciate Ally at the front desk, but I strongly advise against being treated by Wendy based on my personal experience.

Fantastic experience: Ya'll got me in the same day because my tooth felt like someone hit it with a sledge hammer. You also got me in to see an Endodontist the following day. Negative experience: I'm new to the area, and called East Bay Dental for a cleaning. After my initial exam I realized the dentist was very hard to understand because of her broken English. I was told I need a deep cleaning which my insurance does not cover and it was scheduled for over 2 months away. I requested a basic cleaning that my insurance covers and East Bay Dental denied me a cleaning. East Bay Dental up charges patients to make more money!

Positive experience: Overall they were fantastic 5 stars, the only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the price. Maybe I'm wrong, but $450 to pull 1 tooth is a bit steep.

The Dr. Doan was very nice and knowledgeable and listened to my concerns and explained everything to me. The only confusing thing was different people would come in for ex-rays, etc and the Dr. would pop in and out. She finally came in and explained what the plan would be for my concerns. All in all a good experience. It's a very busy office.
