Fantastic experience: This is single-handedly the best dental practice out there!! I can’t say enough good things about them. The doctor is so kind and knowledgeable and makes you feel welcome. I always had a fear of the dentist, but no more with Sunset Point Dental. I’m so happy I found them! The staff that work the front desk are absolutely amazing. Appointments are on time, the office is clean. Everyone just has such good energy and this is a true testament to how Dr. Andre Bandeira runs his practice. Special thank you to Camilla, dental hygienist! She is incredible!!!

My teeth were happy I was happy it was all good. If your teeth are making unreasonable demands on you, I can and would recommend taking their demands for resolution to Sunset Point Dental. My second visit was not as respectful. They wanted payment before seeing dentist, my bad, would have been fine if other way dentist then payment. Unable to review further.

Fantastic experience: After two dental places attempt to get a same day crown fix, I happen found Senset point Dental by luck. With my Humana gold plus insurance, and out of pocket $125 payment, Doctor Andre Bandeira took care of my broken teeth with the same day crown installation. I also got a thooth clean up while I was waiting for my final permanent crown was prepared. The office is very neat, organized, and have a soothing atmosphere to keep my nerves down. The staff members are also very professional and friendly. I'm going to be a permanent patient from here now and the future to come. I recommend to anyone to get the experience. Fantastic experience: I moved to Clearwater ten years ago. I never established a regular dentist here in Clearwater. I have to drive to Maryland every other month. When I have had a dental problem I have usually been able to see the dentist in Maryland I have been going to for 27 years. In December I developed a toothache and saw a dentist that took my insurance. They gave me an antibiotic to knock out the infection and did some dental work. On a Friday, at the end of February, the infection came back and by 3:00 the pain was getting worse. The dentist I saw in December couldn’t see me for almost 2 weeks. Another dentist in the practice could see me sooner but not until the following week. I needed an antibiotic ASAP. I called Sunset Point Dental. They were right down the street. The receptionist was friendly and very sympathetic. She checked and asked if I could come in right away and that I might have a little wait that there were 2 patients yet to come in, that there was a little bit of paperwork to fill out. When I got there, even though they didn’t take my insurance she made a copy of my card. I was taken back less than 15 minutes after I arrived. On my way back the receptionist told me there was something she was going to check out. I went back and they took an x-ray. The dentist came in and we had a consultation. He offered to extract the tooth then, but since I’m on blood thinners, he couldn’t and gave me a referral to an oral surgeon and a prescription for the much needed antibiotics. On my way out the receptionist said she did some checking and that even though they didn’t take my insurance, the insurance company uses Liberty Dental to cover the dental benefits for them. The receptionist told me that they do take Liberty Dental and that there would be no charge. Not even a copayment! They were great all the way around! They could have charged me for the visit and for the x-ray. The receptionist didn’t have to go the extra mile and find that I could get the help I needed without it costing me an arm and a leg, and a tooth! I highly recommend them! C.E.R., Clearwater

I was ready to fly 2,000 miles back to my dentist on the west coast. But, I took a deep breath and used Google to recommend another practice. Call this office and go. And rest assured you didn't have to get on a plane to get great cleaning and a caring staff. It is a clean office, people smile, and know their jobs. I booked again for a return visit in 6 months. Negative experience: Gave this "doctor" over 7k for a treatment plan. Charged me 400 for a tooth he never removed. I had to go back months later and explain to the receptionist why I need 400 back . A bone fragment that was never implanted after a extraction (which he over charged me $900. Just spent over 20 getting real work done, while he pointed out everything this guy did wrong or never actually even did. There is a reason this place does not take insurance. Who steals 400? lol Shady place.

Fantastic experience: You can text in for an appointment. I have a hearing issue and to me, making appointments via the phone can be hard. I can't lip read thru the phone lol So being able to book online or text it in to a real human being is amazing. I love it. The front desk is really friendly and very communicative. I accidentally misunderstood my appointment time. I thought it was 9am, every piece of info I received and confirmed said 8am. They called me at 8:15 to make sure I was OK and nothing had happened to me. I came an hour late and they still helped me. I had to wait, but that was totally fine. It was my fault anyways. They've always been kind to me and explained every step of the process. I have anxiety and I've never been uncomfortable here. I had a few cavities, cleanings, today I asked for my wisdom tooth to come out, and they did it. Dr B had it out in what felt like 10 seconds! Very easy to communicate with, but you do have to pay attention. I didn't grow up going to the dentist, so I do my research, and I ask questions, and I confirm things. I've never had any issues with them. Their services are great. My husband goes to see them now and he loves them. It's a happy little place. I think the majority of the staff are bilingual, which is such an asset. I speak English and understand some spanish, so I'm pretty glad to see the same info about my care in both languages whether they're talking to me or eachother. Adds an extra level of confidence. Negative experience: Dr. Bandiera pulled two teeth the same day and forgot to tell me he didn't get the root on one of them. Triple booking is their normal practice, so good luck at getting your appointment. Never again! The receptionist is horrible, the staff speak a little English and smile alot instead!!

Fantastic experience: Update: Still an extremely happy patient! I have referred several friends and co-workers because of the excellent care I receive. Dr Bandeira is amazing. My previous dentist stopped taking my insurance and I was scrambling to find a new dentist. Looked at Google for someone in the area and this practice had rave reviews. Called them and I was in within the week for cleaning and exam. The reviews were right!! I have since been back to have some crowns done on my front teeth and they look amazing! Dr Bandeira gave me back my smile!
