Fantastic experience: cannot say how grateful and thankful I am honestly from the phone call to set the appointment to actually paying for the service was honestly the best service and compassion I've had or received in a long time...needed emergency extraction pain intolerable and anxiety had kept me from going what a mistake should have called this professional staff and very experienced at the first sign of pain don't hesitate Dr Miller was amazing did not even know the tooth was out no pain and from the x-ray technician to the front desk treating me like family again very very grateful thank you!!!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to FL Dental Centers for the last 10 years. I have dental insurance that entitles me to free cleanings, however I would rather pay, because the care and quality service I receive is worth it. I was diagnosed with a immunological condition on my gums called Lichen Plantis that they have treated. My insurance paid for Dentist didn't even know what that is. The cleanings I received have reduced my gum depth from 5 to 1 in the last year. I recommend FL Dental Centers.

Fantastic experience: This is an all around terrific dental office. My hygienist Ellie gave me one of the best cleanings I’ve ever had. The staff is pleasant and helpful. They don’t try to nickel & dime you for services you don’t need. I’m going back to see the dentist for some work next week. Highly recommend the Clearwater location!

Negative experience: I really don’t want to write this, but it needs to be said: do NOT go to this place—especially if you have dental fears or anxiety. They will dismiss you like you’re a nuisance, not a patient. Patients should come first. Here, they don’t care. I’ll give credit where it’s due—the dentist and one tech were friendly, knowledgeable, and even funny. But a kind demeanor does not excuse their complete lack of empathy for real fear. If you have dental anxiety, avoid this office. During my crown procedure, I was assigned an extremely elderly tech who clearly should have retired years ago. While taking the dental impression, she shoved so much putty in my mouth that it went down my throat. When I told her I was choking, she had the audacity to respond, “I’ve been doing this for over thirty years.” Newsflash: it’s time to retire. When I returned for the permanent crown, they made it clear they did not want me to return—and now I understand why. Despite my repeated warnings about my gag reflex, they insisted on reclining the chair fully. They were completely indifferent to my discomfort. To make matters worse, the office is a large open bay with zero privacy. After I got out of the chair, a tall, heavyset blonde woman berated me for “scaring other patients” because we were laughing and joking. Absolutely shameful. The dentist should have intervened, and the office manager should have been aware that humiliating a patient is unacceptable. As a nurse with 16 years of experience, I know this is inexcusable. A patient should never be made to feel humiliated in this way. Adding insult to injury, they pushed sedation dentistry on me, giving me the name of a dentist—who is retired. That’s how little they care. This office is a money-driven, giant room of dental chairs with zero compassion. If you value respect, understanding, and basic patient care, stay far away from this place.

Awful experience, they’d did a temporary crown 5 months ago and tould me I have to wait 6!weeks for a deep cleaning, did not scheduled me and I try to schedule but it was no appointment until February 25, now they do that an apparently I have to wait another 6 weeks for the impression to take place ???who does that??? Please you need to be more respectful with patients timing, they’d do not care even though the crown was paid for by insurance and me, 5 months ago, we need to get this done, please

Fantastic experience: I was immediately greeted when I walked in by the receptionist and was told to have a seat and wait and somebody would be with me Momentarily One of their X-ray technicians called me to the back Did my x-rays escorted me to the examining chair where I was greeted by a technician and was filled in on what they were going to do for me. I was very pleased with everybody's attitude towards satisfying clients that were off of the door wouldn't change a thing.

Negative experience: Husband had a terrible experience- he had difficulty understanding his proposed treatment plan and the dentist and staff were totally overwhelmed by an elderly person being out of their comfort zone. There are plenty of good providers who are professional and understanding in our area, unfortunately this is not one of them!

Fantastic experience: I was given a new hygienist name Peter as my old girl had resigned back in September and I had never had a man hygienist before so I was a little leery, but Peter was absolutely excellent and very professional and I would have him again.

Fantastic experience: I went to this location a few years ago to have some extensive work done.i feared the pain that would transpire, it didn't happen. With that being said within that appt to this last Thursday the honesty of all the staff and compassion they all were diligent and got me on the schedule to handle my circumstance that again no pain.my fear of pain wasnt included in this past visit because they all want the patients to come back and do what's best for the patient. I cant be more grateful for the whole office as they work amazing with teamwork and communication within the office and with the patient. I dont usually do reviews but if this review can help one person to understand that this is the place to go for any circumstance to either be referred out but most things are done in house id like to know ive helped.The holidays and weather change wont be something I have to hide from be it sugar or cold air. It's not often to find somewhere that one person cares but THIS WHOLE OFFICE DOES. I will highly recommend them even if that means they get more patients and schedule gets busy.i got same day appt and solution within 18 hours. Im self pay and the price was more than reasonable.Alot of places to chose from but i got told about a root canal being done on a trusted friend with no pain afterwards and new it was worth making the appt.service and care are beyond words ya'll. Take a chance and go, believe it wont be regretted in any aspect. Best of luck and procrastination with teeth doesnt make anything better. The written treatment plan suggestion that is able to be broken up into options the patient chooses is one of the best services cause I get to decide what's best for me and my pocket at that time and absolutely no pressure from them they are simply there when I was ready. I was back on with my daily routine the same day and that shows the care given. Best of health to all. And THANK YOU TO THE TEAM WHO MADE IT HAPPEN SO LIFE DIDN'T STOP ESPECIALLY AT THIS TIME OF YEAR.

Fantastic experience: Florida Dental Center and Dr Hutchinson and staff are simply the best when it comes to your dental care needs. The staff is very courteous and provides you with the best solution for your dental needs. I have had major work done at this office. I do not regret any recommendation they have made regarding my dental needs. I travel over 90 minutes to have my teeth taken care of. I will not go anywhere else!

Negative experience: I got a crown for a broken tooth. This is the first crown I've ever gotten so I am not sure if this is typical. It started out uncomfortable but every day it gets worse, and now it is agony. I wish I hadn't gotten this procedure done, I was better off before. I tried contacting them directly and was ignored.

Fantastic experience: I had my first appointment with Dr. Miller last week. The office is clean and the staff from the front desk to the hygienists were all SO friendly. Dr. Miller is so nice and really listened to my concerns. She let me know what I needed and gave me a printout of what it would cost me after insurance. She didn't pressure me. I have some dental trauma from a bad root canal experience, I'm so glad I found this office and Dr. Miller! 10/10 would recommend! I actually don’t mind going to the dentist anymore.

Negative experience: Fdc, APRIL 2025 17 YRS WITH DR TU she retired,, new DR NORTON and now this, i ask the tech numerouse times if they had the color on file??? well i got the wrong shade and its very sensitive to hot due DR NORTON AND HER ASSITANT pulling upwards with force, i was fine before i got the crown now severe pain going on 2 months, not been able to eat nor drink i got new crown with the wrong shade/fit and the nerve has been traumatized by Dr Norton and her assistant, i have never had pain nor sensitivity, DR NORTON cemented the crown with out even cleaning the area did not ask if i wanted a new crown with the right shade?? cement was fused between a tooth and the crowns Dr Norton with out saying anything she took dental floss put it between the teeth then pulled upwards 5 times so hard that the dental floss snapped twice my gums were throbbing plus she cut the side of my lip with the dental floss and i bled, i told Dr NORTON the cement has harden to pls use an instrument i had never seen a dentist do what she did to me, also her assistant came and did the same thing twice and the Dental floss also snapped the pain was so severe i couldnt even speak cement was left under the gum line which cause sensitivity to hot,so i had to go back and get treated to remove the cement.. i havent been able to eat for the past 6 months horrible metalic I went back and saw Dr. Hutch he's ok he did everything that a dentist supose to do, the tech cleaned the cement but i still was sensitive to hot. (Pulling between teeth. Pulling floss hard can damage gums, teeth, or the dental work (like a crown).While dental floss can be used to clean between teeth, it's generally not recommended for removing cement between a crown and a tooth.) With a referal i was sent straight to thier ROOT DR. FD refunded $699 which $400 went to the root dr Dr Norton traumatized my tooth and it got infected in 17 yrs i have never had any complications nor sentivity. I PAID $400 FOR IMAGENING FOR THE TRAUMA THAT DR NORTON CAUSED TAKING ANTIBIOTIC AND STERIODS STILL IN PAIN I HAVE BEEN CALLING NO ANSWER, I DID NOT CAUSE THIS TO MYSELF. UPDATE JUNE 2025: 2 MONTHS STILL SENITIVE TO HOT ITS TWO MONTHS WITH PAIN I WENT TO SEE THE ROOT DR IM ON ANTIBIOTICS AND STERIODS WAITING TO SEE IF THE TOOTH HEALS FROM THE TRAUMA I HAVE ANOTHER IMAGE ON THE JUNE 11 FOR A SECOND OPINION.. WHY DID DR NORTON DECIDED TO PULL UPWARD ON A NEW CROWN?? UPDATE:6/12/2025 I GOT A SECOND OPINION AND YES I HAD TO GO THRU A EMERGENCY ROOT CANAL THE NERVE IS DAMAGED INFLAMMED DONE AT AN OUTSIDE ORTHO REF BY THE VA HOSP. I COULDNT TOLERATE THE PAIN DR NORTON TRAUMATIZED MY TOOTH LOOK AT MY RECORDS I HAVE NEVER HAD SENSITIVITY NOR PAIN IN 17 YRS I HAD CROWNS DUE TO BUILD UP NOT DUE TO TRAUMA. even taking antibiotic my mouth was peeling and the nerve inflamed the new crown taste metalic and i have a burning sensation in my gums even my food taste like metal I HAVE A HORRIBLE METALIC for the past 4 MONTHS. Ive been in pain even after the ROOT CANAL due to DR NORTON NEGLIGENCE AND DENTAL MALPRACTICE.. 7/22/2025 this incident has been reported, i went to your office to get the crown and left in pain bleeding thru side of my mouth, throbbing pain for months and with a crown that is the wrong shade/fit and i also have a metalic taste..Now you guys are not responding..you guy owe me $3,699 for a root canal that i did not need So i am not happy with this crown, it taste like metalic This crown needs to be removed im having an allergic reaction to the INFUSED ZIRCONIA the area is irritated and the crown needs to be replaced. thats your responsinility UPDATE: SEPT 2025 STILL HAVING ISSUES WITH THE CROWN AND IN PAIN THE SKIN HAS PEALED 3 TIMES THE METALIC TASTE IS AFECTING MY HEALTH.. THEY DO NOT ANSWER THIER PHONE, IM HAVING AN ALERGIC REACTION. UPDATE: I WANT MY REFUND OF DR NORTON CAUSED ME PAIN & SUFFERING 9/26/2025 Zirconia Crown has been removed, better yet it came off..NEW CROWN REPLACED IN ANOTHER CLINIC WANT MY REFUND $1,100 I DEF DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CLINIC...NEGLIGENCE AT ITS BEST

Everyone from the front desk scheduler, the dental assistant and the dentist, Dr. Lauren Maizes were kind, professional and understanding of my dental situation and made me feel welcome and appreciated. I look forward to having Dr. Maizes and her wonderful staff as my permanent dentist. I highly recommend the Drew Street Florida Dental Center.

Fantastic experience: The most through X-rays, deep cleaning experience I have ever had. They took double or triple the normal amount of X-rays. Followed up with the most intense through cleaning my teeth ever. I would highly recommend Florida Dental on Belcher & Drew St over any and all other Dental places. They even num your gums to provide additional comfort, not with an injection. On a scale of 1 thru 10 I give them an 11 or 12. This is no commercial, if you want the best dental health care it’s Florida Dental.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Ghiai is very thorough and very pleasant. He extracted an old tooth which had a root canal which was compromised and inserted a post for an implant. Following this he gave me clear instructions to care for the implant insertion site. At this last visit he looked at the surgical site and told me that it was doing well and to continue with the antiseptic mouth wash. He also gave the office instructions to schedule an appointment in 3 months.

Fantastic experience: I am the queen of dental anxiety - and the folks at Florida Dental Centers Clearwater calmed my nerves and actually had me laughing! I had an exceptional cleaning and thorough dental exam, however the best part was having a few belly laughs with the office ladies. Thank you for a great experience and see you in 6 months for a maintenance cleaning. I never thought I would say this, but I'm actually looking forward to it! 5-stars!

Fantastic experience: My teeth are now sparkling clean due to their very efficient Hygienist. The Dr. was very gentle, knowledgeable and effective. I want to Thank the staff for keeping the office running smoothly!

Negative experience: As a current patient, who had two root canals and crowns, was told third cracked tooth (that they seemed to MISS everytime until i showed THEM because I was still in agony), needed another one...since their $2,000+ per tooth every time, I decided to have it extracted since I was out around six grand and still in immense pain! Told them I wanted it taken out, made an appointment and since they knew it was cracked and had x-rays, was ready to go get some relief. Once there, a different Dentist saw me, no big deal to me, until she stated she couldn't do it at this time, she was busy, and they charged me ANOTHER $100 for xrays showing exactly what was still wrong, plus I had tooth # and problem on their referral sheet in pocket from last time stating it! They then told me to take another morning off work and come back in a WEEK!!? Out of desperation I called a new dentist near by, was told to come right in since they would never let a patient in immense pain wait another day let alone a week for a simple extraction....and as a new patient was actually cheaper than last places quote! And last but certainly not least, within 30 seconds my new wonderful Dentist said a root canal would not have even helped with the way tooth was cracked!! Makes me wonder if I needed the last two?? I mean $2000 is alot of money to light on fire, let alone possibly $8000! If being misdiagnosed, charged for the same diagnosis/xrays twice and treated like ur just ignorant and rudley, is ur idea of a good time, by all means go here....or close ur eyes and pick any another Dentist online because they can't be worse

Fantastic experience: Update yes everyone was kind and professional but once they found out I couldn't afford it and my insurance would pay. They never got back in touch with me. I called and called several times waiting on a return call. My appointment was in March and it's October so I'm looking for another dentist.

Negative experience: After an hour and a half I left there confused all I wanted to know was the prices on a. temporary or two implants. The person trying to explain to me, take me two pieces of paper said she did not have a calculator and I could figure it out myself halfway home. I called them back and asked to speak to someone else not the person who I originally was confused with. The woman at the desk that I talk with is very nice and broken down very simple for me. I just spent too much time that I tried to figure out two different prices. I think I’ll go shopping around someplace else

I was treated with kindness and professionalism from the greeting when I walked in to the “have a great day” as I left. Waiting room clean but rather spartan, slightly long wait past appointment time..but once brought back, experience was professional, efficient! Fantastic experience: Had xrays and full exam. Everyone including the office staff, was very kind, and the dental staff and dentist, were very knowledgeable. Explained everything so well and I had many, many, questions and they were very patient, listened, and answered everything I asked.

Negative experience: I have visited this practice in the past without any issues, but my most recent experience at the Clearwater office was disappointing due to the behavior of Jennifer at the front desk. She was rude and condescending when I questioned why my Social Security number was needed, especially since I have been to this office before and my information should already be on file. I recently visited the Largo office and was not asked for this information, so I didn’t understand the request. When I mentioned that no one informed me beforehand about needing to provide additional information, Jennifer insisted I was wrong and became visibly upset when I contradicted her. She asked for my Social Security number in front of other clients, without offering a clear explanation, which made me uncomfortable. I had to call the Largo office myself to find out why this was being requested. After expressing my concern about my Social Security number “floating around,” Jennifer rolled her eyes and dismissively said it wouldn’t be. When I told her she didn’t need to be rude, she replied, “I have tried the wrong one today,” and then began talking about me to the coworker sitting next to her. It was so unprofessional that her coworker even said, “I am not doing this today,” which makes me believe this behavior isn’t unusual. As someone who works in a professional setting and deals with clients regularly, I know there is never an excuse for treating a client this way. Receptionists are the first point of contact and set the tone for the entire practice. Having someone with such poor soft skills at the front desk could cost this practice business. I hope management seriously considers addressing this issue. I have since reached out to the main office and was given the number for the corporate office, which I plan to contact to ensure this concern is properly addressed.

Positive experience: Superb hygenist. Competent doctor. Significant raise in prices since my last visit. No longer a bargain. The corporate office has joined the rest of the world in making the same services cost a lot more.

Negative experience: Went there for first time as I had a rear bottom tooth pain. I wanted to find out the cause as I thought I might have an abscess or? The tech was pleasant and got an X-ray of the tooth.Dentist looked at the tooth in question and said I needed deep cleaning, as there was some gum withdrawn and expose some of my tooth. At this point no recommendations as to how to lessen the pain or antibiotics recommended. Back to the X-ray machine for full mouth exrays and full mouth exam ?… what. I’m there for my pain!,, So, as this full mouth exam continues I am told basically that I have all kind of decay in many locations as well as under crowns and bridges and we are talking major work and big $$$$. So,as I wait for the paperwork, quote 35 minutes and counting I decided no way !!! I came to you for help and you literally told me my front teeth could fall out if the decay got bad enough due to there is root canals under my crowns and I wouldn’t feel the pain. Not a very pleasant or caring dentist.
