Negative experience: This place has gone downhill significantly over the last few years. They recently introduced a forced predatory and likely illegal charge on everyone by automatically opting everyone into an auto-renewing $12/year "concierge program" subscription that does NOTHING for patients and only subsidizes things that the business should already be covering (technology, communication, and regular refreshing of oral care products). I will never recommend anyone to do business with this company. Look elsewhere!

Fantastic experience: 2025 Update: Tidewater Dental in Woodmoore has closed. I received a message the other day. Will have to look for another dentist I always have great experiences at Tidewater from the dental assistant to the dentist! I would recommend Tidewater to anyone!

Negative experience: I asked Ethel Young about my statement on Dec 30. She said she would email me. But never did. I went to the office today. She stated the printer is broken and emailed me the screen shot. Not the full statement. In addition, her demeanor is very rude. This is not the first time.

Negative experience: I have had my appointment canceled and rescheduled 3 times in the past 2 weeks, the first time the system was down which is acceptable and I got a call an hour before my appointment, I rescheduled for the next one come to find out when I call my appointment is not in the system at all luckily I get another rescheduled for this morning and as soon as I get there my appointment gets canceled again due to a system outage. I didn’t get a call or anything before reaching the office wasting my time and gas.

Negative experience: Tidewater Dental at their original office was outstanding ever since we started there when we moved into Southern MD. We tried the Glenarden office when we moved to DC and stopped going after only a couple of visits. We felt that the dentist at this location was incompetent. And now, their appointment system continues to harass with AI generated appointments after we moved out of the area, showing that the location's appointment system is equally incompetent. Sorry but I can't seem to successfully unsubscribe.

Fantastic experience: Dr. B, Samantha & Katie are the best. Dr. B is patient and explains things in a manner thats easy to understand Katie is a top notch hygienist. Her bedside manner is so peaceful, informative & completed to perfection, every-time she’s assisted me. Samantha, the front desk admin., is new and has a very pleasant disposition, but I will not say this about all the front office staff. Although I don’t her name, the staff person, that assisted me, and provided me with my treatment plan/pricing document, was very rude and nasty. Her tone is very standoffish, and left me feeling very unsure as to why she poke to me in such a manner. I returned the following week, for my son’s cleaning appt., and she said she offered to check us in. I waited on Samantha. I will never allow her to assist my family’s needs again. Attitude & tone are priceless, when dealing with customer service.

Negative experience: So that was not the type of response I was a professional dental clinic should give. And for a place that has been pretty good so far, this definitely was unexpected and left a bad impression with me. I don't wnant to give them low rating for all of the other good experience but this was uncalled for.

Negative experience: Their billing department is absolutely horrible. Every visit they had a problem verifying my insurance (which never changed) and they had a problem applying credits and payments. I just cancelled upcoming appointments for me and my son and we are returning to our old dentist office. While Tidewater is convenient as far as location, it definitely is not worth the headache.

Fantastic experience: After the harrowing experience with previous dental offices, I am very much more at ease with Tidewater Dental and its staff of doctors, DAs and admins. Altogether different experience! I recommend this office.

Dr O is amazing my daughters 3 and15 are difficult patients and she is very kind and understanding with them. Fantastic experience: I came in as a walk in just looking to make an appointment after i stopped by the vision works a couple doors down and the receptionist asked I'd I wanted to be seen today. I was shocked. I have them my insurance card and I'd and filled out some paper work and was called shortly after. The experience was so pleasant. They were all so nice. Dr Gibson and Melissa the hygienist were great. Melissa did my cleaning and she was so nice and sweet. We laughed and cracked jokes. Gave me some tips to clean my teeth at home. She made my cleaning very comfortable. I received a toothbrush, tooth paste and floss and was able to schedule my next cleaning afterwards. It was such a great experience and I think I found my new dentist home. I absolutely loved it. I left with whiter teeth and a beautiful smile.

Negative experience: I would technically give tidewater a zero. We have been trying to get my wife's teeth completed since last May. We went in today for her final appointment and they were all wrong. We were also waiting for 30 minutes past our appointment time. Lab delays have been ridiculous. I will not recommend anyone to go here and we definitely will not be back after this ordeal. If not for the money I have already spent, I would walk away now. Your practice is unacceptable.

Fantastic experience: I arrived 15 prior to my appointment time and was being taken in the back within 3min. (Arrived: 3pm, Appt: 3:15pm; Taken back 3:18pm). I was constantly communicated with. NEVER left alone over 3 minutes. ALL BLACK STAFF.. professional and kind; caring, articulate, knowledgeable, polite and GENTLE. Full of questions and answers. My dentist and dental assistant were great. Everyone was CLEAR about next steps. Before exiting, the front desk asked again about my experience, thoroughly explained my next appointment and what was expected of me. Answered all questions. 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ They were AMAZING I finally found a GREAT DENTAL OFFICE

Fantastic experience: My dental hygienist is absolutely wonderful. She is one of the most detailed, organized, and methodical persons I know. Her explanation of a root canal was the most thorough I have ever heard. She paints the picture in your mind as you visualize what she's talking about. She's engaging and I enjoy her explanations of everything she's doing.

Negative experience: I had a great experience at this office initially. However as my dental work progressed things went south. I had a lower partial made that never fit properly. After over 10 adjustments, it continues to hurt my gums in the same area causing excruciating pain. I asked for a refund over 9 months ago and all I’m getting is promises. So, my only alternative at this point is a court case. Everything else stands: the staff is friendly, even while lying about my refund being processed, and the dental hygienist does a great job. Just don't trust them for partials!

Negative experience: This marks the end of my five-year association with this dental clinic, as the quality of service has noticeably declined. During my recent visit for a dental cleaning, the procedure took less than 10 minutes, making it the quickest I've ever experienced. It felt rushed, with no follow-up evaluation by the dentist. Exiting the room, the front desk staff provided no guidance. Typically, they assist in scheduling the next appointment and offer complimentary items like a small toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss, but none of that occurred. Surprisingly, I later received an email stating my next appointment had been scheduled without my knowledge. Regrettably, we won't be returning to this clinic.

Positive experience: I had a great experience with Tide Water Dental at Woodmore Town Center. The front desk receptionist Tonya was so friendly and welcoming. She immediately made my nerves go down about being at a new dentist. The facility was clean and updated. Dasia was also a great help with getting my dental images complete and explaining every step of the cleaning process today. I enjoyed working with Dr. Mohammed and meeting with the oral surgeon as well. I highly recommend this facility for anyone looking for a new dentist.

Fantastic experience: I broke a back tooth. They got me in right away on a Tuesday and scheduled me for an extraction for Thursday. The delay was because I needed a medical clearance. They were very professional and listened to me. The procedure went very quick and painless.

Negative experience: Terrible experience, very unorganized, no one knew what was going on, asked to sign forms that were blank. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

Negative experience: Bad experience. Very unprofessional I was there for over an hour before they started taking x-rays then once they took x-rays, they came back and said they needed more. I asked to speak to the Doctor Who I never got to see. I left after an hour and a half of nothing I had a 245 appointment. I watch someone come in with a 320 and immediately go to the back before me, if you make an appointment with them, go ahead and open up your schedule for the entire afternoon or take the whole day off work if you have to be there in the morning

Fantastic experience: Needed emergency dental work and was able to get same day appointment and dental work done. The staff were courteous from start to finish. Dentist was very transparent, communicated everything that was being done before and during procedure and did an amazing job! I've found my new dentist!
