MaryCelie DeJesus reassured me that she would take care of me and talk me through it. She was wonderful! Kind, caring, empathetic, professional and extremely knowledgeable! Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Everything from booking online was easy it took me maybe 30 seconds to book an appointment around me- went in checked in had to do some paperwork no biggie they were amazing at the desk! Negative experience: Went to Aspen Dental Hanover location because my tooth was bothering me. They told me I just needed a cleaning beneath the gums. The cost would be over $3000. I said I couldn’t afford that right now so just a regular cleaning. They responded that they could not do that without following the recommended treatment first, the one for over $3000. Sounded like a scam to me. Why couldn’t you do a regular cleaning in the meantime. Just expect someone to be able to pay $3000 right then and there. Didn’t make sense to me so I would not recommend to anyone

Negative experience: Staff a generally nice. I went in for a routine cleaning and left without receiving one. Instead, I was subjected to a two-hour appointment focused almost entirely on trying to sell me over $4,000 worth of additional services. The experience felt more like a timeshare-style sales pitch than a dental visit. It was a frustrating use of time and not what I scheduled or expected.

The dental hygienist Mary explains everything very well and makes sure all my questions are answered. Everyone at the desk is kind, courteous and helpful. I don’t mind going to the dentist here!

Fantastic experience: I cannot speak highly enough about Aspen Dental in Hanover, MA. I started coming here a couple years ago to get a poorly done crown from another dentist office fixed. They did a great job redoing it. Since then I’ve come back for regular cleanings. Everyone who has worked with me here has been so kind to me. I am especially grateful to MaryCelie who is an excellent hygienist. She is an amazing educator who has taught me so much about protecting and taking care of my teeth. I started out with gingivitis and she gave me detailed instructions to take care of my teeth that were tailored to me with the goal of getting me back to baseline healthy teeth. Following her guidance especially with flossing has allowed my teeth be the healthiest and cleanest they have ever been. She completely transformed how I think about and incorporate dental care into my life. She is the absolute best and so knowledgeable and helpful I could not recommend anyone more.

Fantastic experience: I went to my appointment at Aspen Dental and I was treated very well by everyone in this unit, they are all very kind and dedicated. I got my cleaning done by MaryCelie, She was extremely kind, professional and very attentive throughout the cleaning. She explained everything she was doing, which made me feel comfortable and confident in her care. The whole consultation was smooth with a friendly conversation, less painful as possible and very well done. My teeth got incredibly clean afterwards, and you can tell she really cares about doing a great job and taking care of her patients. I highly recommend aspen dental for your dental treatment.

Alexia is so patient and knowledgeable and was great to work with on how to finance this whole shebang, coming up with different solutions on how to handle it. MaryCelie I think is one of the greatest hygienists ever, she's so fun and personable and is a wealth of knowledge about teeth! The dental assistants are very kind and fun as well! Fantastic experience: I love this dentist’s office. Always thorough, always friendly, never too long a wait. Always answering my questions and doing good work. I’ve had a root canal, my wisdom teeth removed, and multiple cavities filled. Today I went in for a cleaning and had MaryCelie Dejesus and she was GREAT. Super informative and engaging with all my questions and concerns and thorough but efficient. I was in and out and feeling good. They care and are proactive about any concerns that might occur down the line and it doesn’t feel like they’re trying to sell you anything. I also feel the front desk girl (black hair) is always pleasant with a warm presence. I definitely feel comfortable here. Thank you!

Negative experience: These people took advantage of my elderly mother. They started the work for new dentures and then told her AFTER that her insurance didn’t cover them. They advised her to open a care credit to pay $4k when her insurance DID cover them, her insurance just wasn’t contracted with Aspen. I wish I had known prior to protect her from this bait and switch . Will be filing a complaint with the state. And just to add insult to injury, the bottoms doesn’t fit.

I used to have a horrible phobia of the dentist but went today without any anxiety. Addressing and managing pain is always a top priority here. Dr Pejo takes the time to explain your options clearly, why he might recommend one over another, and then supports you in your empowered decision making. I think people tend to sometimes be a bit skeptical about corporate dental clinics because some have a bit of turnover. This office is completely different. It has the feel of a private practice with the conveniences of a corporate practice: easy scheduling, insurances accepted, financial assistance, etc. Alexia, the office manager is so kind, patient, and helpful. I feel really lucky we found this practice.

Negative experience: I have gone to different aspens over the last 5 years. I went today for an exam and they treated me like a first time patient giving me all kinds of X-rays. The dental hygienist who was trying to show off said so nonchalant that I had a abnormality on the side of my tongue, I already have major anxieties when it comes to dental as my dentist in Baltimore stated in my chart history so I got really freaked out. When I asked her for more information she told me she was going to get the dentist and I shouldn’t panic, I got up and left as this whole situation was totally unprofessional and no hygienist should be allowed to make assumptions about anything they don’t know about particular with scaring patients who are already terrified.

Fantastic experience: I'm dentist-avoidant. Not a great long-term approach, and I'm dealing w the consequences now. Up side: I've been to 4 practices over the last 15 years so I can compare them. The front office is friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. (This is esp noteworthy on the South Shore where front office staff tend to be just civil enough to not be too rude.) The prices are real world reasonable. The dentists and technicians are professional, cordial, and generous with their time.

Negative experience: Do not visit this dental office. They keep billing me after my insurance paid them, and now they are going after my credit after just a few months after the visit, erroneously billing me. The staff is unknowledgeable and has no idea what they are doing.

Fantastic experience: My visit was for a consult regarding my badly fitted lower denture. It was thoroughly explained by Dr Pejo why I would benefit from a new denture as my original one was beyond any reasonable good outcome from a revision. All staff was very friendly and helpful. They have several options for new dentures at varying price ranges which were described in detail and helpful for my decision. They have a denture lab on site making for a much shorter wait time for the new dentures. I'm excited to see the new result I 'll have, I definitely recommend Aspen dental for a reasonable solution.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly and helpful staff. I went in to replace my current dentures which were not fitting properly and I found I could have my current dentures refitted . They fit perfectly now and cost much less than a new pair. Very happy with the dentist, who is very knowledgeable and patient.

Negative experience: I came for a cleaning. I was offered a $6000 procedure. No cleaning. Very unexpected. The staff was nice. The female who took my x-rays was sweet. Negative experience: I went to this Dentist for the first time to have a cleaning .. I was told for the first time ever that I needed a deep cleaning and a regular cleaning could not be done? After lots of you need this and you need that and we will set you up with care credit and the total for everything is this… I received a bill days later for what I was told a total of everything (in the thousands)come to find out it was only for a deep cleaning on one side of my mouth. I have never been so mislead in all my life. I’ve since seen a new Dentist and found out I did NOT need a deep cleaning at all …so be ware if you plan on visiting here.

Fantastic experience: The Aspen Dental of Hanover Ma is awesome. This is my second visit and it was the same with my first visit. All the staff employees are friendly, polite, and very professional. This time I am giving a shout out to Mary Celie DeJesus. She was assigned the task of working on the periodontal condition and she was great. After 2 hours of work I never experienced any pain. She also informed me of every step she was taking along with what I needed and what to expect. I highly recommend this location for dental care. You will not be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: My husband came in with an infection in one of his teeth. His teeth honestly weren't great to begin with but the doctor was so kind while advising us of all options. Along with that, the dental assistant Donahue was beyond amazing. I cannot express enough how much his kindess and care eased such a tough experience. Lastly Alexa was so great explaining our options and assisting in the process of financing. The team in this facility is absolutely incredible, they made such a hard and stressful situation so easy and comforting. Whatever they're being paid is totally not enough.

Negative experience: Said they would not give me a regular teeth cleaning unless I did a $5000 periodontal procedure first. My prior dentist six months earlier had said I didn’t not have bone disease. Apparently this is not a new issue for Aspen. Do a search. “Does Aspen over diagnose periodontal disease??”

Positive experience: Got an appointment immediately and initial exam completely covered by insurance. Dr. Pejo was great. A little disappointed in the out of pocket cost for special gingivitis 2 part clean treatment, but that’s the insurance industrial complex for ya!!

Fantastic experience: I was in need of a new dental office and I saw all the positive reviews on Aspen so I figured I would give them a try. To be honest, I am not one that loves going to the dentist, but from the moment I walked in, I knew I made the right choice. The receptionist was pleasant and greeted me as if she were genuinely happy to see me. The technician performing my x-rays was so patient and kind, he explained everything he was doing every step of the way. When it was finally time to meet the dentist, he explained everything to me step-by-step and showed me the imaging on a screen so I could understand any areas of concern. And once he was done, he walked me out to Alexis, who was in charge of explaining the insurance benefits and scheduling my next appointment. She was amazing and took the time to go over all of the coverage with me and plan for next steps to maximize the coverage on what I needed. Highly recommend this dental office. Everyone is fantastic so far. Looking forward to my next visit!
