Negative experience: Can't even schedule an appointment because they're unorganized and incompetent. I'm a new patient, and can't imagine and how they handle current patients. Only 4:10 and the office is already closed early.

Negative experience: Crazy and rude dental hygienist and they only have 1 hygienist. Not coming back

Negative experience: Caught this team in a lie that wasted my time and the dentist team. I came from the Maple Valley one (which I do not recommend) and asked for my recent X-rays. I was told from the front desk, sure we can request them. Later, I told the nurse I have recent X-rays, she checked with the front desk, and the response I got was "they couldn't get them." Later, I called the maple valley office to verify was told "Kent only asked for patient history" no mention of X-rays. This was a waste of my time and the team's time. Do not recommend to come here.

Fantastic experience: I made the change to Bright Now Dental in January of 2024 and I am very glad that I did. The front office staff is really friendly and helpful. My dentist and care team are always professional and personable. My dental health has improved significantly since I switched from my previous dentist. I highly recommend Bright Now Dental in Kent WA.

Fantastic experience: At first I didn’t like it here because some staff we’re so rude and not nice but it was taken care off and I love it coz they took action..Now I love it here from the staff and everyone there is so nice and accommodating specially my Dentist Dr.Jake Nealon, he is simply the best and so kind and has done everything to make me smile confident again and he went above and beyond for all the procedures I had there he has taken good care of me and to made sure I don’t feel a single pain if I have to do it all over again I would still choose this place and I am glad Dr.Jake Nealon Is my dentist there.

Fantastic experience: I had been to the dentist in a while I had two teeth that were really bothering me they got me in real fast they did my cleaning and they took care of those teeth and it was totally painless to be honest with you I was so comfortable when they were working on my teeth somehow I took my shoes off wow they were great

Fantastic experience: Started coming here recently and got a deep cleaning first and now a filling yesterday. Everyone is so friendly, professional and courteous! They got me in and out quicker than expected but still with great results! Highly recommend!

Negative experience: I don't leave bad reviews lightly, but this place deserves it. Profit is paramount to any business, but the least you can do is lead with care and let the money come after. This place did not and clearly has no qualms letting their greed show. My wife went in for a simple checkup and cleaning. At no point during scheduling or the reminder texts did they specify this was anything else. My wife never received the emails she was meant to regarding the appointment for us to confirm there. Regardless, they chose when she showed up for the appointment to let her know it was only a consultation and the actual cleaning couldn't be scheduled for 4 MONTHS. On top of that, it was their recommendation that she have all 4 wisdom teeth. 2 haven't even erupted. The other 2 are, but with no complications. Their excuse was that "they might develop cavities." Again, 2 aren't even out yet and the other 2 are fine. Clearly she is capable of the hygiene to prevent such a thing as she had no cavities. Moreover, they wanted $1300 AFTER INSURANCE for the procedure and were insistent on her setting up an appointment for a consultation on the matter. She didn't, of course. To top it all off, the dental assistant that took her xrays kept making comments about the sore on the corner of my wife's mouth. Not to intentionally hurt her feelings, but have some common sense. The dentist is an intimidating place for most people, judging them and making comments, even well intentioned ones, hardly seems like the right way to ease their fears. Again, I'll never look down on a business trying to make a profit. We all have bills to pay. But springing things on patients last second and desperately trying to book unnecessary appointments for things they don't need is downright predatory. Maybe I'm so mad because my appointment with another nearby dentist was so pleasant by comparison, but jesus. Cannot recommend staying far away from this place enough.

Fantastic experience: I had been avoiding going to the dentist for several years because of a bad experience at a some dental office near our neighborhood. During that visit, the dentist poked my gums too hard while taking measurements, which caused bleeding and eventually led to an infection. That situation ended up requiring a dental implant, and it really affected my trust in dental care. Even though I knew I needed to go back (especially since my gums would bleed every time I brushed)I was very nervous about visiting another dentist. I was recommended to Bright Now Dental in Kent, and I’m glad I gave it a try. Dr. Kim and her staff have been very helpful and understanding. I want to give special credit to Navreet, the hygienist, who did my gum measurements with great care. Unlike my past experience, I felt no pain at all during the process. She explained that I needed a deep cleaning due to my gum condition, and since I had been experiencing frequent bleeding, I decided to go ahead with the treatment. The deep cleaning took two separate visits because my condition was quite severe, but Navreet did an excellent job. Since then, I’ve been keeping up with regular cleanings every 3–4 months. So far, I’m very satisfied with their service and the professionalism of the staff.

Negative experience: I am writing to provide feedback about my recent dental cleaning appointment with hygienist Navreet. While I appreciate the professional care I ultimately received from the dentist, I felt that my interaction with Navreet was unnecessarily rude and condescending, which left me feeling disrespected as a patient. During the appointment, Navreet strongly recommended deep cleaning every 3–4 months. When I asked for a clear explanation of why this frequency was necessary, her responses felt dismissive. She mentioned “deep pockets” and when I inquired further (including whether my flossing habits might be a factor), she replied that we had already discussed this during a previous visit — something I do not recall. However, even if it did occur and I don’t recall then she shouldn’t make a statement like that. There is nothing wrong explaining again if customer does not recall. I felt she was pushing the treatment plan without providing a satisfactory explanation tailored to my questions and concerns. When I expressed that I preferred to continue with periodontal cleanings every 6 months, Navreet continued to insist on the more frequent schedule, which frustrated me so I again responded that 6-months is fine and if you keep forcing this then I have right as a customer to go elsewhere. In response, she made a comment along the lines of “fine, you are a customer, right?” in a tone that felt sarcastic and disrespectful. This interaction made me feel that she was more focused on being “right” than on respectfully addressing my concerns as a valued patient. In all my life, I haven't seen any one so blatantly forcing treatment plan on the patient and when patient deny treatment plan then basically replying with "seek treatment else where if don't accept". The thing is I feel that my teeth are perfectly fine so I don't need this aggressive deep-cleaning every 3-4 months. Also this treatment plan is expensive where most insurances don't cover. I recommend some sort of disciplinary action for this individual as her behavior is wild and not acceptable in any work place; especially in a patient care environment. Additionally, her communication style throughout the appointment came across as patronizing. For example, she questioned me in a tone and manner similar to a teacher speaking to a student or boss talking to employee such as asking how many times a day I brush my teeth and after hearing me responding that I brush and floss once a day then instructing me to “try brushing two to three times a day”. I want to note that Dr. Julie Kim who joined later explained the situation clearly and professionally, which I greatly appreciated. However, Navreet’s final remark when I walked out — “see, she agreed with me” — reinforced my impression that the interaction was more about proving a point than providing courteous patient care. Note that this same issue has been going on for many dental cleaning appointments in the past with Navreet and only after today appointment; I decide to write a feedback.

Negative experience: I had a root canal performed at the Kent location in February 2025 by Dr. Yamada. Initially, I was quite pleased because I was very nervous about the procedure, but he was gentle, reassuring, and made the experience much easier to endure. The procedure seemed to go well, but three months later, I was still experiencing distinct nerve pain in that tooth. I returned in May 2025 to address this, but the encounter was incredibly disappointing. I wasn't believed when I said I was still having nerve pain. I was told it was "impossible" and brushed off with the excuse that I was "probably just experiencing gum irritation" because my crown's height had finally been adjusted a week and a half prior. I was instructed to simply wait another three months, and told that if it still hurt by then, I would need to consult my regular dentist at the Southcenter location for a secondary procedure. Ultimately, my root canal failed, I was brushed off, and the Kent location never saw me again to fix it. Because the pain had not improved, I went back to my dentist at the Southcenter location in August. This became increasingly frustrating when the office staff actually argued with me while trying to set up the appointment. They were rude and insisted I had never had a root canal or crown placed because they showed no history of it in my chart. They finally booked me for a "consultation," and when I saw my dentist, she looked at my chart and laughed about my exchange with the staff, telling me she could clearly see those things on my chart. She went on to explain that sometimes there's just an extra nerve in a tooth that doesn't get noticed, which could explain why I was experiencing pain after a "successful" root canal, but that this type of thing is rare and unlikely. She assured me I didn't have any nerves in that tooth and insisted that it must be something else that's causing that pain, and so she didn't give me the necessary referral to go back to Dr. Yamada to actually fix it. It has now been 14 months since my root canal, and I am still experiencing severe, worsening nerve pain in a tooth that supposedly has "no nerves" left in it. Every time something touches it, even gently, I am immediately hit with severe pain that radiates through my entire jaw. Bright Now Dental as a whole has completely refused to address and resolve this issue or follow up with me to any degree. This is especially infuriating because this ordeal cost me several thousand dollars out of pocket just to leave me in a worse state than I was in before having the root canal done.

Negative experience: Very disappointed to say the least. I do not recommend for emergency visits. If you care about your loved ones, don’t go there. I showed up to my appointment, they couldn’t even find me in their system. Service desk associate mentioned I was added to their calendar. I made my appointment at 7:00 am, and they verified my insurance, all for nothing. Waste of time for lack if better words.

Negative experience: If I could give negative stars I would. I took my mother, who lives in an assisted living facility, to see the dentist yesterday. She called me at 3am crying with a bad toothache. I had to hire a wheelchair accessable van to take her in. We were very late but they did see her, which would have been above and beyond amazing if they had actually helped her. She was in so much pain she couldn't get the X-rays done. The doctor wanted to refer her elsewhere like there was no workaround to getting the X-rays done. Perhaps have her come in another day when they have more time? Nope, go to UW in Seattle, goodbye! My mother's tooth was black! Pitch black. We asked this dentist for something for pain for her until she could get in somewhere else. Nope! She can take Tylenol and ibuprofen for the pain. I told her that was wild, obviously my bedridden mother who has nothing but time on her hands to think about how badly her tooth hurts, deserves some relief. That "dentist" flat out told me, "It's enough." As if she knew the quality and intensity of the pain my mother's soot black tooth was causing her. "It's enough." Then she said one of the DUMBEST, WILDEST, MOST CONDESCENDING, CRAZIEST, things a doctor has ever said in the history of the profession. She said that they give Tylenol and ibuprofen to TRAUMA patients. People with their faces cut open. People with serious TRAUMA, are given Tylenol and ibuprofen as pain relief in hospitals? Sure they are. That's what ER docs are giving trauma patients who come in on stretchers? Apparently this lady thought I was dumb or didn't care about my mother and that I would just buy the crap she was trying to sell me. They left us alone for a bit and I got so pissed off and upset for my mother, her pain, the rotten tooth, that I started crying. I'm not rich either. That useless experience cost me $100 just to get her there and back so they could bill her insurance for doing nothing but sending an old woman in a wheelchair back to her assisted living facility in pain, her face swollen, and in misery. I can't afford $100 just so they can turn her away with some antibiotics. "They'll bring the swelling down." Great, in a few days maybe. What about now? All my mom does is watch TV and eat. Now she can't do one of those things. So be aware, if you're in pain, you're out of luck, because as the dentist told me, it's her personal preference not to give out anything for pain. Tylenol and ibuprofen are the best you're gonna get here. Trauma patients in hospitals get Tylenol for their pain you whiny loser so suck it up. Personally, it makes me question why we even developed meds like Vicodin or oxycodone. It's almost like doctors understood that there are varying levels of pain and sometimes Tylenol doesn't cut it. Weird. But what do I know? Go elsewhere if you're in pain. It should be on their website if they don't want to manage pain for a few days while you're in agony. This experience was terrible. It's the day after and I'm still heated over the disregard and lack of care this lady showed my mother. Negative stars!!!!!

Positive experience: Editing my review: The previous review was given after about 6 visits. Now that we are almost done with the ortho treatment, I am raising my rating from 2 to 4 stars. As I said before, the ortho is great and she "rents" space there on Fridays and I don't think she is in charge of hiring the dental assistants (who rotate). I think they are sometimes students/interns/new. Her receptionist is also great, and recently, we have interacted with several excellent dental assistants. The one concern that I still have is parking lot safety (which they have no control over). My car has never been broken into, but to me, the location doesn't feel safe to park in the parking lot due to people loitering. Previous review: I chose the Kent location because it is close to home, but I regret it now. We are stuck doing ortho visits for the next 2 years. The ortho and front-desk receptionist are great, but there have been several problems on multiple occasions. The assistants have mixed things up. On our last visit, they were to install 4 brackets on the back molars. They kept getting the wrong size, then one fell off and they didn't have time to put it on again, so I had to make a long appointment for next time. I asked if that would negatively impact anything (having 3 instead of 4) and the assistant acted like I was criticizing her instead of just asking a question. It is a busy place, like a factory, and they don't talk to you as a person. I ask questions to understand what is happening. I ask if there is anything I need to know (as the parent) regarding how my child is taking care of their teeth and if there is anything that needs to be done differently. The last assistant would not make eye contact, she would sigh and mumble the answer and frown like I was annoying her. Well, even if I am a difficult parent with a lot of questions, I just think that if you aren't good with people, you should not be in this people-intensive profession.

Negative experience: 3 weeks ago impressions were done for my flippers. Today I’m supposed to collect them. However, I received a call yesterday saying they’re not ready coz the lab said impressions need to be redone. Apparently, what were made aren’t workable (or taken all wrong by the dentist and assistant). The lab found this out after 3 weeks? Unacceptable! Very poor communication. Very poor customer service.

Negative experience: Hello, I called to reschedule my mother’s appt for September 16th to September 24th & received no text confirmation. I called on September 24th @9am when they opened to make sure my appt was still set for that day @10am. I called just to find out they had canceled my appt & there was no doctor but NO ONE ever called to let me know. I was very frustrated & the receptionist was just giving attitude back there was a lack of communication from there part. The receptionist tried to put the blame on me for why they did not let me know which is bc I had rescheduled which made no sense. I don’t appreciate the dental office & it was going to be my mother’s first time at this office. Do not recommend.

The people working there are always sweet, even when there are a million things going on. I'm glad I found this other location, so I can continue working with these folks.

Negative experience: Although the actual dental service I received was excellent I am suspect with Bright Dental’s lack of credibility with its billing. I waited until my Delta Dental insurance went into affect. I needed approval from the dentist in Bonney Lake to allow me to have a hip replacement. Long story short, the dentist would NOT approve my surgery until one of my teeth was pulled. Not sure but this was in April sometime I believe. So my “BRIGHT NOW DENTAL “ special pricing" of $58 for all services on this first visit was just a way to charge more. The Dentist then insisted he would not approve my hip surgery without removal of the small portion of my tooth. I had to wait until my dental insurance went into affect after May 5. Janelle at The Bonney Lake office eventually scheduled me for an appointment on June 25 at their Kent Office. I was told by Janelle that my cost would only be a $10 copay. I was NEVER informed that there would be any additional charges. The small extraction went well although the dentist requested several foam packets during the procedure. I REPEAT, I was NEVER informed that there would be any additional charges until AFTER the procedure when I was then told by the dental assistant that my new bill was for $157 due to the foam patches that were used. Okay, just had my extraction. I was hurting and am now told my bill went from $10 to $157. I was very upset. These additional charges are charges I was NEVER told about in advance or even during the procedure. SURPRISE! Unfortunately, this appears to be a “bait and switch” by this business. Do not let them do this to you!

Negative experience: Today was my first appointment at Bright Now in Kent. Would I arrived the office staff and dental assistant tried to get me to pay for a dental cancer screening light, $29. I verified that the dentist does a visual screening- he does. Nothing in my history indicates I am high risk for oral cancer. Then after 20 minutes the dentist does his exam- all good- I am taken to another room for my cleaning. There the dental assistant and hygienist tried to sell me a bacterial laser- $130. Ya know to kill bacteria. I asked how long this was effective and was told until the next time I ate or drank. I feel that it was more important to try to upsell me than actually take care of my dental needs

Here we are at the location and no one is inside. Best way to drive business away. Or maybe they don't deserve it at all.

Fantastic experience: The staff at BrightNow have always been professional, witty, and attentive. The hygienist Navreet is extremely skilled and wonderful to work with, is attentive during visits to ensure I’m aware of what is going to occur from beginning to end, and provides clear and concise information. The entire front desk team ensure the process is smooth, and explains the bill instead of just handing it and expecting payment straight-out. As much as I have always hated going to the dentist, the team at BrightNow makes the anxiety a thing of the past.

Negative experience: They asked me to pay $4000 upfront When I'm in the dentist chair about to have a procedure done. Who does that? And they lied about the prices. Will never go back. Do not go to this company! What company asks you to pay before the procedure every business that's legit ask you to pay after the procedure not when you're in the chair about to have the procedure done! So expensive and asked me for my debit card! Before the procedure! So disrespectful and unprofessional! Lied about all the prices!

Everyone put me at ease, my procedure was timely, gentle and professional. This is the 3rd office I have gone to with Bright Now! and they have all been very kind and thoughtful to the process and fears of their customers.

Everything from the great friendly service from everyone at the front desk, the very friendly Dental Assistants that make sure you're comfortable and ready, to the excellent Dentist/Doctors that do amazing work. I went in with all my upper fronts so bad that I was to the point of telling them to just take them out and give me dentures, (I'm only 44) but, they were able to save my teeth and now I can smile, laugh and hold conversation without trying to hide my teeth. I couldn't be happier with BRIGHT NOW DENTAL!!! I highly recommend coming here

Positive experience: Unfortunately I haven't had the best service with the Kent location. It took me to do the foot work to get them my other authorization then I came back in for no reason nothing was done at one visit absolutely nothing. I had to call and recall to get an appointment it was so bad one of the office people finally admitted they failed me. I agreed and would have changed offices but that meant I would have had to restart my authorization process all over again and I just did want that. I'm constantly forgotten about when sitting in the office waiting for my appointment or even to reschedule my next appointment. It's a mess i will say the dental assistant and dentist are nice. I had to come and update my review if I could transfer my car re I would run from this place. I have a broken tooth there's no emergency service I tell them I have braces they scheduled me for a time when there orthodontist isn't onsite. Very unprofessional wasting my time off my job because they are incompetent! I wish I never stepped foot in this place I just want to cry. 4/2/2024 I'm updating my review, staff has changed and since my original post the staff has been great and I haven't had any issues. I'm a happy camper now ☺️

Positive experience: I have been going to this clinic. But today and eversince there was a turnover it change management. Receptionist/Front desk customer service is terrible. They are not friendly at all making you feel like unwanted. But the other staff like Ortho, Dental assistant they ARE AMAZING. Thinking of switching to other clinic

Negative experience: After my visit o had to sit in the lobby for 15 minutes to get checked out. The young woman was talking and talking to another co-worker and ignoring the fact that I still needed to get checked out and assigned another important dental appointment. She was too busy socializing. Inconsiderate customer service.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of this dental office for a few years. Dr. Julie Kim has always been very kind to me and always tells me what the next step is during the dental procedure, which I appreciate. I have a dental crown that I got from another doctor, last week it came off. The first thing I thought "this is going to be very expensive" but Dr. Kim was very honest and told me "if the crown is in good condition and there are no cavities we can use it again" and it was. I didn't have to pay anything. I am happy that I found Dr. Julie Kim at Bright Now Dental. she is honest and patient. (The last dentist I had before always used all the dental insurance benefits and also had to pay more in cash $300.00 up to 1000.00 each year)

Fantastic experience: I come to the Bright Now Dental in Kent for regular dentistry and for my ortho care. They have a great team there. The staff is courteous, informative, and kind. Their hygienist, Navreet, is amazing! I really appreciate the extra time she spends with me - giving a little more time scaling (that's my favorite part!). Thank you to this team for always being great! Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I have been to several dentist offices due to insurance changes. Bright Now Kent location is by far the best one . The staff are always friendly, knowledgeable, and very communicative. This truly goes a long way because no one wants to be at the dentist.

Fantastic experience: The dentist Julie Kim was absolutely wonderful! I typically don’t like going to the dentist , but she was so patient, kind, welcoming and understanding. She walked me through what she was doing while fixing my chipped tooth which put me at ease. She has great bed side manner. I will definitely be coming back, so glad my wife referred me here.

Fantastic experience: Great staff, super friendly. Dr. Kim is amazing. I had to get adjustments to my clear aligners and there was maximum effort on ensuring the success of the treatment plan. Some dentist office seem to charge a lot more, nickel and dime you for every benefit they can get, but not Bright Now. The pricing is fair and service is great. I recently moved to a different city and I still come back to this location.

Negative experience: Waited for 40 minutes the exam room for the doctor. The front desk attendant wasn't too informative and frustrated to be all alone at the time.
