Fantastic experience: I have pretty severe dental anxiety.. And today was the first time in a very long time (longer than I'd like to admit) that I've been in a dentist's chair... While I can't say I was completely comfortable x.x.. I *can* say that they got me in quickly and the entire staff I met today were incredibly patient, understanding and kind. Going back next week to start on my dental plan! And I'm not exactly excited for it.. but I'm not completely terrified either, which is a gigantic step! Thank you Crews Dental!

Negative experience: Shady business model. This place only cares about money. Stated thet weren't able to do a teeth cleaning the first visit. I realize now its so they can try to upsell you on a bunch of other services while you are there for your intial visit. Then they make you pay in advance if booking additional appointments. They tried to book 4 more appointments, charging me out of pocket ahead of billing insurance. Why should I pay for dental services booked weeks away? When I provided this feedback, I was told by the office manager that I was being offensive to the dentists.

The entire staff AMAZES ME with their precision of CARE they coordinate together in maintaining a spotless, accurate, and extremely clean, dental practice. I cannot more highly recommend a more qualified, professional dental practice in the region, and I attribute this to the excellence of Dr. Crews in providing this for all of her patients. I personally attest to their love and concern they generate to all their patients there and in the greater community.

Offers different options regarding treatments and costs.( I do not have any dental coverage to speak of so cost is a huge concern.) I have gone to Dr.Tom Flavin for 35+ years and the idea of having to change dentists is terrifying. However,I felt I can trust Crews dental and will have more work done there. I feel they are honest.

Fantastic experience: I really enjoyed my first visit with Dr. Tarah Crews, Ms. Rebecca, and the other staff. Dr. Crews did an in depth examination that considered all aspects of my health, not just my teeth. She took the time to explain how the health of my mouth can directly impact other seemingly unrelated conditions. She was extremely thorough with her explanations and the options available to give me my personal smile goals. What stood out in particular was her saying “what questions do you have?” The slight change in wording (v. “Any questions?”) made me feel even more comfortable. Each response was thoughtful, and I never felt rushed . I am definitely looking forward to my future appointments. My first impression with her and her team couldn’t have been better.

Negative experience: I don’t have problems with dental treatments but bill processing has been an absolute disaster.

Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Dr. Seaton since i was 18. Needless to say I am quite a bit older now. I have followed him everywhere. Now he is here @ Healthy Smiles. The staff here is wonderful. The other dentist here are great. It is close to home and feels like family when you go in for a visit. Highly recommend if you need a dental office. UPDATE... Dr. Seaton has retired and the dental office is now under a different name BUT guess what...all the stuff I said the first time is still true!!!! Love this place!!!

Fantastic experience: Too bad five stars is all I can give Crews Dental-East and Doctor AnnMarie Spalding!! I was a patient of Doctor Tom Flavin for over 30 years until his recent retirement. He and his staff were always exceptional. His practice is now Crews Dental -East with the same exceptional staff and dentists. I am so very happy to say that was treated by Doctor AnnMarie Spalding who has to be Doctor Flavin’s clone! I have a long and complicated dental history which she understood, developed a treatment plan and immediately put me at ease with her great personality. A professional in every sense of the word.

And they’re especially quick to get me in for an appointment in the case of emergencies… or if I got a popcorn kernel stuck in my gums a few days before Thanksgiving Crews Dental was formerly Healthy Smiles, but it’s still the same great people!

Fantastic experience: I've been trusting Dr. Seaton with my pearly whites since I've had teeth, gone through a few moves with him and love where he has landed at Healthy Smiles of STL. Excellent technology in the exam rooms and with the booking/reminder system. People are great, too! April 2025 update: Dr. Tarah Crews has taken over the practice after Drs. Seaton and Flavin have retired and has renamed it. I've mostly noted cosmetic updates (I appreciate the new waiting room chairs for my disabled self!) but otherwise business as usual. The hygienists and admins are wonderful and Dr. Crews was so understanding and caring at my last checkup. I saw a new doctor to the office (cannot recall her name) and she was informative and thorough. I realized that this office is now fully female and a woman owned business! 5/5 would recommend

Positive experience: Only giving 3 stars because the staff was nice and personable. Billing was a nightmare. The office was sending bills to my old apartment for 2+ years instead of calling me, and one day, they called me up and said I owed them over $1,500. Every time I left the office, they said I didn’t owe anything at that time. I’m not sure why you’d just send letters to an apartment and not follow up via text, phone call, or even email after YEARS. It sucks that they did this, because I really liked their staff and this office.

Fantastic experience: I had a most excellent experience at Crews Dental! The front desk associate greated me with kindness. She assisted me with directions as I am not familar with the area. My Dentist, Ann Spalding is very intelligent, who goes beyond expectations with her Dental Work. Her assistant was extremely considerate of my dental needs and concerns. Both professionals exhibited dental passion, attentiveness, and kindheartedness. Upon the end of my visit, the financial assistant communicated to me charge and cost expectations very professionally with excellent interpersonal skills. Fantastic experience: Dr Flavin is the absolute best there is when it comes to dental care. He has been my Dentist since I was a child and the reason that I have always loved going to the Dentist. Even as child It was never scary or nerve wracking. People think I’m crazy that I like going to the dentist. Clearly they do not have Dr Flavin otherwise it would be easy breezy. My Family have been longtime patients of Dr Flavin and we would not have had it any other way. The staff is amazing as well, very knowledgeable, courteous a friendly. We are sad so see Dr. Flavin go but wish him nothing but the best in his retirement. Enjoy your new found freedom and all the adventures to come!!!
