Fantastic experience: Very professional and friendly staff. Thank you!

Negative experience: Beware- new dentist, Dr. Scimone is gone. Zero stars. Dr Finder who bought this practice charged my husband $1000 for a cleaning and imaging, told him his root canal from Dr Scimone at this practice had failed and he imminently needed a tooth implant at the tune of $10,000. After a visit to another dentist for a second opinion and a consultation at an Endodontist (Judd, archway endodontists) it was determined his root canal is healing nicely and no work recommended. Dr Finder is unskilled at best, predatory at worst.

Negative experience: Dr. Scimone was the best dentist I ever had. As someone with a lifelong fear of the dentist, she and her staff made me feel comfortable to come in. I found out her last day was two days before my appointment and I wasn't notified ahead of time. My visit with the new dentist was NOT pleasant. I'm not looking forward to having to hunt for a new one. If Dr. Scimone ever comes back, let me know.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Dr. Finder, his was welcoming, professional, and made me feel comfortable. Dr. Finder took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure all my questions were answered, which I really appreciated. Overall, a very positive experience.

Fantastic experience: My friend/neighbor referred me to Dr. Scimone in June. My long time dentist had retired just before the pandemic. I could not be more pleased. I've needed quite a lot of work done. Everyone there is great. I have found my forever dentist.

Negative experience: The worst place ever wouldn't even take me as a patient I have insurance sounds to me like some people aren't good enough to go there when I called the lady was very rude

Fantastic experience: After avoiding dental care for a few years out of anxiety, I am so happy to have discovered The Hills! Everyone there is friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. Dr. Scimone is effective and the staff work together well to be timely and efficient. On my most recent visit, my hygienist (Kayla, if I remember correctly <3) took the time to note my migraine history and recommended assessing for braxism in case it was a potential migraine trigger I could eliminate! I am very satisfied with everyone on staff’s care for patients, including the front desk. I feel much more comfortable returning for my regular dental appointments with this group of women! I would give 6 stars if I could.

Negative experience: This place is very unprofessional. I went in emergently last year to get a tooth pulled and they told me I had to see an oral surgeon recently I called them for my x-rays and referral and they gave me so much trouble about emailing me over my information all they care about is billing your insurance for nothing I do not recommend The lady that answers the phone in the morning. Does not know anything about how to run a business and be polite. She didn’t wanna email MY records like what? I did find a wonderful regular dentist who got me in same day and not an oral surgeon either ,,,not even one star worthy , no Compassion.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Hills Dental for several years. I like everyone I have had to deal with in the office. The dental hygienists are very good and the dentist deals with crowns and veneers quickly and efficiently.

Fantastic experience: To preface: The worst type of physical pain I've endured is in a dentist chair. So, after having some negative experiences at my previous dentist, I finally made the switch to Hills Dental care. I'm impressed. The Hills Dental Care staff is amazing. They are articulate, professional, and caring. They are 100% transparent about billing. They discuss options and timelines for any level of dental care. The entire team is clearly dedicated to providing the best service possible. They've treated me with the utmost respect and care, despite me not doing a great job in taking care of my teeth! I'll finish by asking you: How often would you even feel compelled to write a review for a dentist? Typically it's because of negative experiences, right? That's not the case here. I'm delighted to give the Hills Dental Care team five stars because they clearly deserve it.

My husband & I were heading to Moab for vacation when I broke my front tooth I was devastated We were just there adding thru St Louis & was in desperate need of a dentist. From the first moment we called we received the best of assistance, caring & compassion. They were quick to schedule me (even though we were an hour & a half from the office). They called & text with concern & willing to help as best they could. They even watched for us as we came thru the area to make certain we saw them. But the superior service didn’t stop there. Fantastic experience: Dr Scimone and her team are the best. While you are their patient you can expect a very professional team, prompt communication, and flexibility. They are upfront about cost of service and work around my availability to make sure I get the treatment I need. They are very prompt in letting you know of any changes happening to your appointment. I love them! They also have some items to make you more comfortable during your visit such as blankets, weighted blankets, pillows, etc.

Many dental offices refuse to accept new patients, and they were the only office that was able to accommodate me. Additionally, the cost for services was quite reasonable.

Fantastic experience: I needed an Emergency tooth extraction this past Tuesday. They did not have any openings on the day I came to the office. But, they gave me some possible alternatives to go to. They also made me aware that if I still needed to get the tooth removed, they could schedule me on Thursday afternoon. I got scheduled and returned to the office on Thursday afternoon. After taking X-rays and visually examination, the dentist made me aware that I would need Oral Surgery to properly remove the tooth and it's root. They made an appointment for me with the Oral Surgeon's office for this past Friday to have the procedure done. The Oral Surgeon (Archway Oral Surgery and Dental Implants) and His Staff were OUTSTANDING! I ended up also having an additional removal of remnants of another tooth! I have not experienced any after surgery pain and the swelling on one side of my jaw has been very minimal! Thanks so much, The Hills Dentist!!!

I came in after years of avoiding dentists, and my gums and teeth showed it. However, Amanda treated my spirit with gentleness, and Dr. Scimone carefully navigated her examination of my teeth and never made me feel bad about my negligence. I feel wonderful about my future appointments with the folks at the Hills Dental Care. (By the way, when it was just Amanda with me, she said Dr. Scimone was THE BEST BOSS, and she said it with such enthusiasm, I knew she meant it. Negative experience: I believe this practice is dishonest regarding the need for deep cleaning and goes against the dental association recommendations for deep cleaning. It is obvious that this practice is telling patients to have expensive & extensive procedures without need to increase their bottom line. A relative referred me to this practice due to a good experience regarding dentures. Since they were a (Delta Dental) preferred provider I made an appointment in November for a 6 months check up & cleaning prior to a scheduled knee replacement surgery. When I saw my regular dentist of 22 years in May, I received the usual good report regarding my teeth & gums. When I met with the dental hygienist at Hills Dental, I reiterated that I needed the cleaning prior to knee replacement surgery in 3 weeks. I was in so much pain that I was using a cane. Yet, instead of a cleaning, I had over $500 of xrays and was told I needed a deep cleaning or I may lose my teeth in the future. They indicated it showed gingivitis & the beginning of bone loss & periodontal disease. I was very upset & yet they tried to get me an appointment for a deep cleaning 30 days after my surgery instead of before. Having previously had a hip replacement, I knew that didn’t sound right. I ended up contacting my surgeon who advised if I needed that procedure, we would have to delay surgery as this is prohibited for a minimum of 6 months to a year after surgery. Thankfully my old dentist had a cancellation, I was examined and told that my gums & teeth were in good shape & he wrote a letter to the surgeon stating I did not have any need for additional procedures & confirmed I had no dental problems so the surgery could stay as scheduled. When I looked on the web at web md the requirement for deep cleaning is if the gums have receded to over a #5. I had all 2,3 & 4’s and two fives on their own exam. My dentist stated I had only one 5 with no bleeding on a back crown that had been that way for five years. After this very upsetting visit & now reading other reviews stating the same information, I wish I had never tried them. Very dishonest & unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: When I walked into the office, I was greeted warmly by the staff as well as the other patients in the waiting area. My wait was brief. The staff were courteous and thorough. They made sure I understand everything they said. The dentist was gentle. The apprehension i carried with me from childhood has been vanquished. I would definitely go back and recommend others.

Negative experience: Unprofessional. Inconsiderate to patients needs. Contributions to global warming and landfill over flow with the flyers they mail, not all insurance provider coverage accepted. Positive experience: Very clean, very friendly staff. Only drawback was the water vacuum. It seemed a little strong, bruising my lips. I've been there several times before and it didn't seem to be a problem then. Perhaps a different machine.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to The Hills Dental Care practice by my son and daughter-in-law. They both had a really good experience having work done several times. I have terrible anxiety going to a dentist office because of the painful experiences I have encountered. After listening to my son and his wife praise this office each time they went I decided to give it a try. Boy were they right! From the moment you walk in you are treated so kindly and with patience with whatever questions you may have. Then when I sat in that dentist chair and each person took care of me with x-rays and exams they were all so nice and compassionate that I knew I was in the right place and in the right hands. You can tell that the Doctor hand picked her staff that would meet the expectations that she herself upholds to treat people with respect, compassion and gentle hands. Once you go here, you won’t go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: These are great people doing great things. I had adversity with coverage and the recent loss of a parent just prior to an appointment. I had to cancel an appointment with no notice after arriving, due to an insurance issue and a miscommunication (on my part ). It wasn’t my best day! The office sent me a card expressing compassion for my loss and was able to find a way to still help with my basic cleaning for the time being. I’ve never had a healthcare provider in my life to take the time to send a handwritten card and allow me to come back after a difficult situation. Dental needs aside, they demonstrated a humanity that is often loss in the healthcare industry due to the crushing restraints of insurance and profit driven models. I would highly recommend them to any and all! Thank God for The Hills Dental Care!

Fantastic experience: I've been woefully neglectful of my dental health for...well a long time. After having received an advertisement from The Hills Dental Care I decided to check them out. And am I glad I did. When I walked in I was greeted by Crystal's smiling face. She quickly signed me in, told me what additional forms I needed to complete, and had me immediately feeling at ease. I was then privileged to work with Jaime. She did a full exam, gave thorough and easy to understand explanations of my current dental health, and answered all of my questions. After her initial exam and recommendations she brought Dr. Scimone in, and another brief exam was done. They consulted and solidified a plan for me. Even though it's been as long as it has since my last dental checkup, they were able to give me a straightforward outline of how they wanted to treat and help me maintain my dental health. Once my exam was done I was introduced to Gina. She worked out my dental insurance coverage, explained my treatment and maintenance schedule, communicated my estimated out of pocket expenses, and got me booked for my whole year's dental plan. AWESOME. The Hills Dental Care is amazing. Friendly, professional, and compassionate. I highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Great "bedside manner." I have significant dental anxiety and avoid going to the dentist, but there was absolutely no judgment. The hygienist's confidence inspired confidence in me too (thanks, Donna!), and Dr. Fitzpatrick was similarly understanding and gentle. Very efficient and kind!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Scimone is attentive, helpful and very good. Our son with autism had a chipped tooth over the holiday weekend. We were able to schedule an appointment quickly and Dr. Scimone fixed everything with care. We are so happy to have her and her staff as our dental providers.

Negative experience: I cannot recommend going to this dentist whatsoever. Besides the usual upsales I've grown accustomed to in the US healthcare system, I was double charged for a cleaning unexpectedly forcing me to pay out of pocket for what would have been my second covered cleaning. I was told following a deep cleaning that I needed to come back for a follow up after a months time to receive the usual polishing because polishing directly following a deep cleaning would result in the polish being forced deep into the gums. I asked if there would be any charges above insurance associated with the follow up visit and was told no. Unbeknownst to me, this follow up was billed as an entire second cleaning. Does the ADA even recommend or approve of back to back full cleanings within a months timespan? For the record, I have never needed anymore than a regular cleaning twice a year my whole life and I have zero cavities. My "regular" appointment 6 month later forced me to pay in full out of pocket. This appointment was made in the context of a standard preventative cleaning 6 months following the first and the idea that I would be charged for a 3rd cleaning for this was not communicated prior to the cleaning. I now have had to file a claim with my insurance company on this issue to see what they can do. Either my first appointment did not cover the full scope of the cleaning, or my follow up appointment was erroneously billed as a full cleaning. Regardless, I won't ever go back to The Hills Dental Group again. Their practices are too shady for me to risk my dental health on.

Fantastic experience: The staff was courteous. The office was clean, bright, with just the right amount of clinical sterility. The dentist and assistant were patient, understanding, nonjudgmental. I will return.

Fantastic experience: I had a root canal done today and I can’t believe how painless and comfortable I was. I was very anxious but as the procedure went on, I realized there was nothing to worry about. I’m over the moon with how good I feel after the numbing wore off. No more sensitivity on my tooth. The entire staff at The Hills Dental Care is top notch. From the receptionist to the operation chair everyone is friendly, professional and all smiles. All this makes the hour+ trip worth every second. Thank you to everyone at The Hills for making my journey to better oral health a smooth ride.

Fantastic experience: Everyone there is so nice and professional. I hate going to the dentist, and Dr. Erin made me feel so much calmer. My dog jumped up a chipped my front tooth. She would tell me what she was going to do before she did it. Erin fixed my tooth so quick, I couldn’t believe she was already done. I can smile with confidence again! Thank you guys

Fantastic experience: Every member of the office ensured that this was an excellent visit. It had been some time since I saw a dentist. There was no guilt or shaming. Instead, there was an effort to make me comfortable. Crystal at the front desk is warm and welcoming. Candice explains what she is doing and why, which helped with my anxiety. And she laughed at my jokes! Donna was kind and supportive. Dr. Fitzpatrick was as well, putting me at ease, and promising a team effort to improve my dental health. Gina explained my coverage and was helpful with my appointments. The whole visit eased my anxiety, and I'm not as nervous to go back

Fantastic experience: My husband started going here a few years ago, and he recommended I switch to The Hill’s Dental Care because it was superb in every way. I switched and am so pleased. They really are more professional, more efficient, more accommodating, and more helpful in every way. I’ve unfortunately needed some more extensive dental work, and I am so grateful that I am patient here. More recently, I decided to get Invisaligns, and everyone at this office has made the process so easy. They have provided phenomenal care through every step. My sons also go there, now.
