Fantastic experience: This is hands down the best (and it's my first dental appointment ever). Everyone was very nice and made the process a walk in the park. I loved the honesty of the process and the way every process was explained to me clearly. I'm sorry I forgot her name but she was a little older lady, I love her and I can't wait for my next appointment. Definitely recommend 1000 per ent. Keep up the good work.

Fantastic experience: An excellent and convenient downtown Hartford, Ct, full service dental practice facility. Did a cleaning last week and the hygienist was really personable, professional, knowlegeable, and skilled. She also found an issue with a wisdom tooth and told me, sadly, I had a cavity in a spot on a standalone wisdom tooth that cannot be seen, and the was not repairable. She told me it would need to be pulled and gave me a referral for the the tooth to be pulled, and, that I should get the tooth scheduled for extraction as soon as possible. But no huge rush, just get it done, as an open cavity is a source of gingivitus. She took care of my cleaning with a deft hand and upon my request referred me to Dr Gregory B Haroian, DMD, FAGD who quickly cleaned and replaced a missing filling without novocaine and I was on my way quickly!. Got my next checkup scheduled for Nov 2026 too before settling my bill with the ffront desk excellent support from they as well!!

Fantastic experience: Going to Capitol Dental is always a pleasant and relaxing experience, from the receptionist’s relaxing smile who makes sure to address you by name as if you walked in with a name tag, to the dental assistant/hygenist entering the waiting area to notify you that it’s your turn, to an walking in an atmosphere which could cause one to forget that pain is a possibility. I certainly do not regret in the least bit, thst I choose Capitol Dental.

If anyone is looking for a dentist, I would recommend checking with Capitol first you will not regret it. I had previously scheduled my visit on a particular day; however, due to unforeseen circumstances at work, I was forced to reschedule the appointment. The staff worked with me to find a suitable replacement. The folks at Capitol Dental are always friendly and professional. They are the best in the business.

Negative experience: I’ve been going here since 2020 and never had issues until recently. When traffic from a highway accident made me late, I called right away to reschedule. Instead of working with me, they claimed rescheduling was the same as a cancellation/no-show and demanded $50 before they’d book me again. That’s not only unreasonable, it’s shady, their own reminders only mention cancellations and no-shows, not reschedules. Last year they also charged me $100 for an extra cleaning without telling me it wouldn’t be covered by insurance. I really hope this was just one staff member having a bad day, because everyone else has always been friendly. But if this is how they handle patients now, I won’t be returning.

After years and years of giving my money to subpar dentists that seemed like they couldn't care less at the end of the day, I'm glad to be have found these wonderful people. I can't see myself going anywhere else for my dental work; they have treated me wonderfully since I became a patient a couple of years ago. Never change!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to capital dental in Hartford for a couple years now… And I used to have a bit of anxiety about going to the dentist… I no longer feel that way going to Capitol dental… Just had my teeth clean today… And the woman who did my cleaning was absolutely fabulous… She always kept me knowing what she was about to do and why she was doing it… I’ve had three different people clean my teeth there, and all three were just fabulous… This is the best dentist and dental office I have ever been to in my 56 years!

Negative experience: I rarely leave negative reviews, but when it comes to health, I think it’s important to do so. I went to Capitol Dental for the first time just for a dental cleaning. They decided to do a set of X-rays and then informed me that I needed two crowns and additional work over several sessions. I had no pain or symptoms at all. At the end of the cleaning, they charged me $120. When I got home, I logged into my insurance portal and found out that I was only supposed to pay $40. After several calls and requests for an explanation, they finally sent me a check for the overcharged amount. If I hadn’t asked for it, I wouldn’t have gotten the money back. Since the situation seemed suspicious, I went to another dentist for a second opinion. It turned out that the work Capitol Dental recommended, which was worth over $2000, was completely unnecessary. Additionally, the second dentist noted that my teeth were still stained and needed a proper cleaning soon, making the cleaning I received at Capitol Dental useless. Again, I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but you can’t play with peoples health just to make a profit.
