Fantastic experience: Excellent service and very professional !!

Negative experience: Very disappointed visit the office for cleaning my teeth. Nothing get done besides sticking a little measure needle ro check the depth of my gums. and they want me to go back for deep cleaning for four sessions. I asked for regular cleaning but nothing was done. In my opinion they just look for to maximize the benefits. Just wasted my time.

The staff there is Professional, friendly and always trying their best to accommodate me when it comes to scheduling appointments. Dr. Robert Katz is an amazing Dentist, he is super knowledgeable and his Hygenist’s are top notch. The Burnside Dental location is very clean and the staff there always greets you upon arrival. Negative experience: The dentists assistants are super friendly and everyone had good vibes. Everyone except Dentist lady Pankti Shah, DDS is a scammer. I sent the forms back three days prior to my EXTRACTION APPOINTMENT the next Monday. She made the “grifting,” call to have me get byte-wing x-rays. I have a missing crown from a dental implant and others on top. The bloody wiggly tooth is on the bottom. Bite-wing x-rays AREN’T helpful for extractions! “Bite-wing X-rays primarily show the crowns of the back teeth and the bone level between them, and are typically used to detect cavities, not the full root. X-rays that show the entire tooth, from crown to root tip and the surrounding bone, are called periapical X-rays. A maxillofacial dentist would likely need periapical X-rays, a panoramic X-ray, or even a 3D Cone Beam CT scan to assess the entire structure for an extraction.” Then she springs on me she’s not going to extract the tooth? In fact she said; “I had NO INTENTION of pulling your tooth.” She used my low thyroid as her excuse. (Thyroid levels don’t show up on Byte wing X-rays.) At the reception desk, she went on: “I wouldn’t even clean your teeth without medical clearance.” (It had nothing to do with my thyroid) Then why do the BYTE WING X-RAYS when you confessed you needed “medical clearance?” I asked “how much do I owe for today?” No response. Pankiti and receptionist shook their heads. My husband was with me so he can confirm all of it. The referral she handed me never called after I left a message. 5 dentists later and I learn it’s not about my thyroid. It’s about cervical surgery from (3) years ago. I have a letter of clearance and the neurosurgeon wonders why 3 years post op, has them so defensive and MEAN. The dentists do NOT want those x-rays for an extraction. They do not show roots to make a determination for extractions. It’s bill padding. Cigna is aware and they said they would contact these dental thieves and get the payment sucked back, to apply to extraction X-rays that will need to happen. They emailed a bill to me for $27.00. It’s amazing to perform an x-ray on someone you have pre-decided you would not perform ANY work on, “not even a cleaning.” That’s a malpractice and I’m emailing DCP today. They helped me get money back from another bill padding office. They even read my review and advised me to keep it up to educate others. “Let’s do X-rays then kick her out.” One more service I offer. Fantastic experience: Been coming here for many years. Love my hygienist Holly and Dr. Katz. The front desk. The other dentist( sorry cannot remember her name) but she makes time to fill a cavity while I'm there. I recommend this pratice when someone needs a dentist.

Fantastic experience: I’m so happy to have found Burnside Dental. I have the biggest fear and the most anxiety about going to the dentist. I wish I would have found Dr Katz and all his wonderful employees 50 years ago. They are so pleasant and gentle that I can actually say I no longer fear going to the dentist. I probably have been to over 10 dentist in my lifetime and never found an office with such an incredible team. If I could give 10 stars I would. Halei does my cleanngs and does a fantastic job and brings any concerns to Dr Katz attention. Dr Katz is very conservative and explains in detail the options and his recommended course of treatment. I feel comfortable here and trust my dental care in his hands. Believe me, it wasnt easy moving to a new dentist after my previous dentist was no longer in plan but honestly it was a good move. The staff is all great, the dental care superb and everyone is so welcoming. ❤️
