Fantastic experience: Dr. Gonzalez has been my dentist since 2011. My experiences with dentists were simply traumatizing until then. We had a great patient/doctor relationship and it was the first time in my life that I wasn’t terrified going to the dentist. When I found out he was retiring I was worried and anxious about the new team but I opted to give them a try and I am so glad that I did so! I felt the same level of professional care and comfort. Dr. Diederich is great at explaining everything she is doing. look forward to many years with her and her team!

Fantastic experience: My husband and I have been going to Dr. G on and off for almost 10 years now. We use him for the “really big stuff”-Root canals, implants, invisible liners, etc. Over the weekend, I chipped one of my top front teeth. The office staff was able to get me in right on Monday. The whole appointment took not even an hour, and was painless and also thankfully inexpensive! From the office admin, to the dental assistant, and of course, Dr. G and Monica, everyone at this office is so kind and it is always a pleasure to see them even for something unexpected. (this was my original review from eight months ago) Well, we are now February/March 2026. My tooth broke again and now Came the Discuss discussion of need porcelain painters, Not one, not two not three but six! Which is very expensive, but thankfully, the staff at Dr Gonzalez’s office was able to Help me finance the fee with a program they offer called Sunbit. Had 2 out of 3 appts so far, & couldn’t be happier with the care I’ve received!

Fantastic experience: I have never had a dental experience this positive in my life. Just to start, the office is decorated warmly, to the point it feels like someone's home instead of like a clinical dental facility. The warmth of friendliness of everyone in the building is noticeable and set me immediately at ease. As a new patient, I was taken to a private meeting area where I discussed my concerns and issues in a confusable environment face to face with Dr. Gonzalez and a beautiful woman who's name i didn't catch, but I assume was the manager of the building. Both were extremely personable and incredibly friendly, and immediately put all my worries to ease. Having not been to the dentist in a while they showed no judgement, and instead were very reassuring, explaining everything from the x-rays to the billing in a clear, polite manner. The level of hospitality made me feel as though I was in a spa of some sort, complete with complimentary water bottles. As for the dental work? I had a considerable amount necessary and they were able to complete most of it in my first visit. I was floored. Fast, efficient, and most importantly gentle. I think the most pain I experienced was from the initial novacaine, and felt nothing after that. An extremely gentle touch with a calm and reassuring bedside manner is the best way I can describe Dr. Gonzalez, and I'm addition he also explained everything thoroughly in detail including the science behind his recommendations. I was thoroughly impressed by his enthusiasm for his profession, and he also gave recommendations for cosmetic procedures which was greatly appreciated. I've never understood why people would say "I love my dentist." Now I do. I will be recommending his services to every person I know

Fantastic experience: I rarely write reviews, but I had to take the time to commend this wonderful team. I had a very negative experience at my past dentist and was afraid of visiting a new practice. After doing my research and looking at reviews, I decided to go with Dr. Gonzalez and his team. Monica was so lovely on the phone when I scheduled, and even more lovely in person. I had an initial exam and went in with a broken tooth and a failed root canal. Dr. Gonzalez and his Dental Assistant Harsha were very calming and reassuring. They discovered that I needed a root canal and several fillings. They did a wonderful job. They made sure I was comfortable every step of the process. Their Dental Hygienist Sydney did an amazing job as well. I’m healing very nicely and am so glad I made the decision to become a patient here. I can’t recommend them enough. You’ll be in wonderful hands!

Fantastic experience: I first brought my mom to Dr. Gonzalez in 2013 for a repair of her bottom dentures. She was 87 then. From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed. Once he started working on her teeth I knew she was going to be in good hands. Now two weeks before her 99th birthday I had to bring her again due to pain in lower gums which required two extractions and again Dr Gonzalez and his assistants were excellent making her feel comfortable. My mom only speaks Spanish so it is a relief that she can communicate with him.

Negative experience: If I could give 0 stars I would. I do not recommend this dentist or their office. My daughter had a few cavities that needed filing’s as well as in pain and needed a root canal. I have researched for a long time to find a good dentist for her, due to great reviews I was sure this would be a great fit. He has started working on her took all the X-rays’s needed including the full mouth.Bit ended up leaving my daughter with half the work done and left her teeth to get worse knowing that she needed Important work that needed to be done ASAP for her teeth not to worsen. We were unable to make it to the next appointment because we had a fire in our house and were displaced. We had to move far into CT to Coventry to stay with Family, my husband my daughters father passed away 2 months prior to the fire. We were in mourning, mentally distraught by the death of a loved one as well as our fire situation. I notified Monica of our situation, I texted her in response to an appointment that we were unable to make it. I had a hard time calling due to my phone suffering water damage and was unable to hear well during calls but I reached out by text, still have screenshots. They have dropped my daughter as a parent and stated that they no longer take her Husky insurance even though she is under 21 years of age. The whole office has gone on vacation for 2 weeks and didn’t say anything about them not excepting her insurance any longer. We spoke to the receptionist who was president during their Vacation absence whom have told us we have to wait, so we did. Monica calls us 2 weeks after and says we can not come back, because they no longer take her insurance. Why not call us because leaving for vacation, why make us wait. I am very upset about the whole situation with Dr Gonzalez and his staff. Her insurance will not again cover her X-rays’s at another dentist. So now I have to pay hundred of dollars while my daughters teeth are deteriorating due to wait time. Very unprofessional in my opinion. I believe they dropped her due to missing that appointment, that he really could have excepted her insurance for one last visit because Monica has stated that the Doctor him self was thinking of cutting Husky off months ago, not Husky cutting him off. Just feel like the personnel in this office do not care for their patients care at all only about profit.

Fantastic experience: I am a patient of dr. Gonzalez’s since 2022. When i met Dr. Gonzalez, I had a lot of dental needs, I was very concerned about my oral health and self conscious about my smile. But Dr. Gonzalez was so thorough, informative and knowledgeable. I trust his treatment plans, I am still in the process of Invisalign, but my first phase was a lot of restorative procedures. Negative experience: Sadly disappointed with how the office has been changing for the past 2 years. The attention they used to provide their patients has gone down. Miss the old receptionists, they were really kind , understanding, and very professional on getting back to you if you had any questions/concerns. The receptionist that is currently working at the office is rude, cuts you off when your speaking over the phone. Lacks on getting back when you have question/concerns. I would usually recommend this place but now I can’t. It has changed for the worse.

Negative experience: We went there for a long time until recently, I became sick on the weekend out of the blue and had a sore throat but because I didn’t call to cancel my children appointment they decided to take them off completely and did not care about me being sick. How would you like a sick person with a sore throat and throwing up to call and cancel a appointment? SMH just ridiculous.

Fantastic experience: I member of the family for over 25 years… Yes, 25+ years. I believe that should speak volumes to anyone looking for an office that not only focuses on your dental care but YOU as well. I have seen the practice grow from its small location decades ago along the New Britain Ave area to its amazing spacious home in West Hartford. I have been in other offices for health care where you are treated like a number or just the group# on your insurance card. At Dr. Gonzalez’s office, it is like Cheers, “everyone knows your name”. Dr. Gonzalez and his staff take a personal approach to your care. It starts with the ladies at the front desk who are personable, sharp, and kind. You need that especially if you are uneasy about seeing a dentist for the first time or if you are having a procedure. They set the vibe/energy for the rest of your visit. The techs, dental assistants, hygienists, etc. are all amazing. They clearly explain the process, why it is important, and what the next steps will be. Lastly, Dr. Gonzalez teaches and encourages his staff while doing his quality check before you leave the chair. I appreciate the level of detail and information they discuss with you. He truly asks about you and not on the service level. My entire family uses Dr. G and his amazing team for their dental health. I am currently going through the Invisalign process which is new for me. The team has been great and flexible with my ever-changing schedule. If you are reading this, you know I am recommending Dr. Gonzalez and his team as the place for all your dental health needs. It is a no-brainer, and your teeth will thank you for it.

Fantastic experience: By far one of the most welcoming and friendly dentists I have ever been to. Laid back in the chair and they explained everything without sounding judgmental. Recommended something and he knew what he was talking about because my issue was resolved within 2 days of completing it. Plus you dont even have to hear the sound of those dental drills. They give you a clean pair of headphones to listen to your favorite music, or walk with your own. That was a first for me. But I def recommend it.
