Negative experience: I had an appointment for 8:30 am. I got a call at 8:15 am telling me that I needed to reschedule because the doctor wasn’t in today. I got a text the Friday before the appointment to confirm my appointment or they would reschedule it. I was pissed. How in the hell did you not know the doctor wasn’t going to be in. We made the appointment 2 weeks before the visit and you send threatening text messages if I don’t confirm before my appointment. Do I get $50 when the doctor cancels last minute. No, but she does if I have to cancel my visit.

Positive experience: don't like the fact that we can't go in the back with our kids when procedures are going on and I don't like when the wait times are over 30 minutes over your appointment start time.

Negative experience: If you have caresource and are a new patient please do not waste your time. I called, scheduled an appointment, and took off work. Got my kids dressed and there on time only to find out they do not accept our insurance for new patients. The issue is with setting the appointment. They have you use an automated system that was unaware of the change and do not offer the option to talk to a PERSON. Talking to a PERSON would have save me time, money and my kids a bunch of tears. Thank you for your lack of service! Ps. The front of house staff is so sweet too.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been taking my kids here for years. If you’re looking for a good Children’s dentistry, this is the place to be. They are fast and efficient. They are good at preventative dental work. My kids never have cavities.

Fantastic experience: New patient! Honestly, I was concerned by the reviews because I didn’t read them until I had already scheduled the appointment! My son’s visit went exceptionally well! The receptionist and the manager were very nice and informative! They made sure we were happy and that my son was comfortable! He was able to get an appointment the same day! He also has to get two teeth extracted and with his insurance, Medicaid, it will only be $23.50 compared to $1300 at another office in Anniston that was over an hour away! Only thing is, they will no longer accept Medicaid after Aug 11 so will need to find him a new dentist!

Negative experience: My son returned today after about four years away due to insurance changes. I was excited because our experience had always been pleasant. After the visit, when he got in the car, my son said that the back office staff was rude to him while getting xrays, during the cleaning, and just overall with the exception of one person. We will not return. I only selected a star because I couldn't post a comment without selecting one, however, I would not have selected a single star. I will say that the front office staff was pleasant.

Fantastic experience: Excellent. All 3 of my kids have been coming here since they’ve been old enough to get treatment. I have a son with autism and they are very patient with both him and I and have came up with different methods of getting his treatments. My other two love it

Negative experience: I have been bringing my kids here since they were small. I had an appointment yesterday and never received their new appointment just to call and find out that they will no longer take my insurance. I understand that, but letting me walking out and are no longer taking care source in the coming months. I have to find another dentist. What upsets me is that there was absolutely no notice. I called and two different people gave me missed information. This is beyond unprofessional.

Negative experience: Honestly, if I could leave 0 stars, I would! This office is extremely unprofessional, inconsiderate and disorganized! They have had issues with my payments and scheduled visits for my child so many times it’s ridiculous! I will most definitely be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau!!!

Positive experience: I'm not sure who was having an off day, the people behind the counter or myself. Perhaps both. You as usual, be the judge. My 2 children had appts at 3pm. We arrived at 2:40-2:45p for any incidentals. Some offices instruct you to arrive 15 minutes early. Either way, I did not expect to be seen early. Prior to arrival: in fact after the 1st appt was made, the office started sending out text messages asking me to confirm todays appts for both children. (You should know that they each have different last names) But at what point can a digital note be added to both children's file that I'm the contact etc. ? So I'm getting bombarded with text reminders and even verbal confirmations of their attendance when I've already responded. "C" IYKYK. So here I am at the counter signing forms, even the ones they FORGOT. Paying out of Pocket fees for both children. 1 of my children waited for at least 30 min before being seen. A special tooth paste/ or med he needed for the appt I was told later was not in office. They refunded me the money for it and gave me a script for me to go to any drug store. Which they then asked for the script back because they realized they DID HAVE the product. So I had to dig out my credit card again. Like make it make sense. I had to send him back in to get his follow-up appt. It's way too many people walking around. I guess the lead doctors don't care about client perception. While they were doing all that confirming... why wasn't someone checking inventory? Why was an important treatment portion left off the other child's treatment plan? And before you think I'm being Harsh? You should know I've worked in more than 1 medical facility, front and back. I almost reduced this to 2 stars.

Negative experience: I visited this dental office last week for the first time, and it will definitely be my last. I understand it was spring break, but the lobby was extremely crowded and disorganized. No one acknowledged me when I walked in. I stood there while two receptionists were present, and only one eventually checked me in after the other ignored me completely. The overall atmosphere felt chaotic and impersonal. Once we were called back, the experience went downhill quickly. The assistant taking my daughter’s X-rays was unprofessional, lacked compassion, and spoke to my child in a harsh and inappropriate tone. She repeatedly raised her voice, telling my daughter, “You’re not listening,” which was unnecessary and unacceptable. It later became clear that the issue was not my child, but the equipment being used—it was too large for her mouth, making it difficult for her to cooperate. Instead of adjusting with patience, the assistant became visibly frustrated, sighing, speaking harshly, and handling the situation poorly. When I offered to help guide my child, I was told no, as if cooperation wasn’t the goal. The entire interaction was uncomfortable and completely unprofessional. Unfortunately, the experience did not improve. During the cleaning, another staff member repeatedly pushed my daughter’s hands down forcefully whenever she flinched, without communicating with her or involving me. I offered to assist and asked her to stop, but she continued to handle my child in a way that felt rushed and dismissive. At that point, I stopped the treatment and removed my daughter from the chair. No parent should feel like they have to intervene to ensure their child is treated with basic care and respect. I was able to get an appointment the very next day at another dental office, and the difference was night and day. My daughter was treated with patience, gentleness, and compassion, and I was welcomed to remain by her side the entire time. Any pediatric dental office should understand that when treating a child, you are also working with the parent. That level of care and awareness was completely missing here. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this office to other parents.

Negative experience: Extremely disappointed I’ve had it up to here!!!! This is the second month in a row my children’s care has been disrupted by this office. The manager standing there looking stupid with the nice nasty demeanor made me want to wring her neck!!! My kids had a 9:00 AM appointment, and I called ahead at 9:14 AM to specifically ask if we could still be seen since we were at the edge of the grace period. I was told to come in, but upon arrival, the manager wanted to waste another 5-10 min going back and forth with me about the time I called when I showed the time stamp in my phone. If they couldn't accommodate us, they should have been honest when I called. It's incredibly unprofessional to tell a parent one thing on the phone and another in person. Mad as hell I wasted my gas and TIME! Ohh lemme tell yall last month, their appointments were canceled due to a 'system glitch.' I tried calling to confirm but couldn't get through, so I used their text link—which also failed—resulting in a cancellation text the day before their appointments , which I took off work for.. The last thing I need is a dental office that can't manage a simple calendar or answer their phones!

Negative experience: Been going here for years and every time they put my children on the schedule first thing in the morning and then allow them to be skipped and literally take all morning for cleanings. They open the office with at least 6 staff members. Today was the LAST time I will allow them to treat us like this as we were first to check in and 3 other children that arrived AFTER us were seen and serviced before my children.

Negative experience: Every time I go to this place there is an issue. I go today and magically it’s an issue for me to go back with my kids. When I have never had an issue before going back. They called my kids, and I stood up saying that I am going back with them. She said wait let me go check, and she came back saying that since “they are of age I can’t come back). So while I am waiting to speak with the office manager another set of kids gets called back, and that parents goes back with her 3-4 kids. So we got skipped since they made me wait for an office manager. About 10 minutes later after waiting for the office manager my kids get called back. So I am confused why I was told to wait for the office manager to never speak with the office manager. I am currently in the back with my kids. So all of the hassle, attitude, and unprofessionalism was for what exactly?! It is too early to be in a bad mood or even being rude. While in the waiting area I get text with my kids next appointments scheduled, and they were scheduled without anyone talking to me to ensure the appointments work for my schedule. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB as this place is literally going down hill. Read the reviews before taking your kids here. Everything they do is half way done not 100% from fillings, crowns, x rays any work that they do. The bad reviews are pretty accurate. They never call patients in the order that they come in. 0 out of 10 highly do NOT recommend at all. Nothing gets cleaned, sterilized or wiped down either.

MRS BREAZY Published on Google

Negative experience: ⭐️ ZERO STARS — Parents, please read before bringing your child here. My family has been going to this dentist office for three years, and unfortunately the level of unprofessionalism, disrespect, and dishonesty has gotten worse every visit. What happened to my daughter — who is autistic and needs patient, gentle care — was unacceptable on every level. Back in April, we already had an issue serious enough that we switched providers. When we returned in October for a cleaning, things somehow got even worse. When we arrived, we were abruptly told that only one parent was allowed to come back with our child — a new “internal rule” that was never emailed, never posted, never communicated at all. For three years, both parents have always been allowed to be present. When we questioned why we were not informed, the staff’s tone was rude and dismissive, simply saying, “No. It’s internal.” Once my daughter was taken back, the hygienist finally showed up 15 minutes later. My daughter lightly tapped her feet — not screaming, not crying, not upset — just her way of saying hello. Instead of greeting her or even acknowledging her, the hygienist looked at her and said (to the x-ray tech), “I’m going to go to the restroom until this calms down.” She said this about my child, did not say one word to me, did not say hello to my daughter, and walked away. That was the moment I removed my daughter from the chair and left. Management claimed they would address it with the owner, so we returned for her treatment appointment where she was supposed to receive four crowns. This is where things became beyond dangerous: • My daughter has been vomiting all day after their procedure — even though we were told this should NOT happen with their sedation. • They gave us the wrong paperwork for the pharmacy. • They gave my daughter FIVE crowns, not four, and never informed us of this change. • We received no post-op instructions, no guidance, no prescription, nothing at all after sedation dentistry — which is absolutely irresponsible. • They tried to cancel our appointment the day before, saying the original doctor “no longer works there,” even though they had just confirmed same appointment the day before. • They attempted to assign us to a doctor we SPECIFICALLY said we do not trust (Dr. Rose) — the same doctor who disrespected my daughter in the past. • After insisting on someone else, they suddenly “found” the original doctor again and said it would be her “last day” working there. The lack of communication, lack of compassion, unsafe practices, and complete disrespect for parents and children is unacceptable. This office has shown me multiple times that they do not value transparency, patient safety, or basic professionalism. If you truly care about your child, avoid this place at all costs. This dentist office deserves zero stars

Negative experience: I don’t normally leave reviews, but this was extreme. Brought in special needs child and the dentist insisted we sedate her after saying no multiple times. Dentist assistant had horrible attitude with mom and child, and we had to wait over an hour. Staff kept giving different responses on wait time. We mentioned multiple multiple times, over phone and over email and to everyone in person, that child was on the spectrum. dentist assistant says that it’s no where on the notes, despite us telling her 5 minutes ago. unprofessional business and staff, and this place needs to be investigated. Really sad to see and the worst dentist experience we’ve ever had. Please be careful if you bring your special needs kids here.

Negative experience: I rarely leave google reviews on businesses so please listen to this one. This dental office is so unorganized and I am so disappointed. So my 4 yo daughter had an appointment on June 13th for a check-up. My husband was told she has multiple cavities that will need filled under anesthesia. They told him that someone would reach out to schedule the appointment. A week passed, no one reached out so I called. They said the treatment coordinator would be reaching out soon. Never happened. I kept calling because idk, is it not urgent if your toddler has multiple cavities needing to be filled? On July 10th, after basically going off to a receptionist (she was sweet btw), she got me an appt scheduled for September 12th. She told me to make sure my daughter fasted after midnight and two people would have to be present. Fast forward to today August 20. I called the dental office to see if there were any other openings for the fillings. They never had the appointment scheduled!! They had no record of it. And now, they are telling me she needs crowns instead of fillings! The communication sucks! They scheduled my daughter for October now but I have no idea what is going on. I asked to speak with someone who could explain in detail the procedure and why it was needed. The person was busy and supposed to call me back. Never called back! At this point, Im taking my business elsewhere because this place does not know how to properly run a business. And I work in healthcare so I know what I am talking about. This is completely unacceptable.

Negative experience: The front staff is incompetent. I drive 40 minutes for a cleaning but was not told fees were involved. According to insurance they cover all of that. Then the worst part is that I cancelled an appt 48 hours ahead and was informed by front office that I would have to pay $75 to cancel. When did this change? The way this economy is there is no way I'm paying for a broken appt so thus we are here. I've called 2 days in a row and management does not get back to you for any of your concerns. This place has NOT been the same since my child was seeing Dr Rose Maiz. She was the best. Very disappointed; this is the last appt. and I wouldn't recommend anyone else coming here. Thank you

Negative experience: The customer service is terrible . The girls in the front are nonchalant .They do not give paperwork after you sign stuff or when you leave of a summary. You can also have a balance and they never send you anything but send a text the day before the appointment to let you know what the balance is or your child can’t be seen. Which is a scam because they have a certain timeframe to cancel an appointment or you will be charged anyway. Also the rooms are nasty bugs on the floor. Please find another dental office for your kids.

Negative experience: I went for a cleaning for my 6yo. The dentist said watch this tooth in the back. Make sure you're flossing. I go back in 6 months and another dentist recommend 4 crowns!! What? We're just going to skip fillings. I was told she couldn't do fillings for them. I tried to get more clarification because that's a huge jump especially if we actually are flossing and brushing as recommended. Since she was too bothered to really explain, I left to get a second opinion. I paid for my records which didn't have the X-Rays. I had to pull receipts from our visits to prove we had X-Rays done. They finally found them under a second account. I went to another company and was told she absolutely did not need crowns. Unsure why we were recommended that. Followed up in 6 more months. Same thing, keep a watch on her teeth, nothing is needed. How does that make sense? Do not allow them to do dental work on your children if they can't explain why it's necessary or offer a more conservative option. $$$$

Negative experience: I highly discourage you from taking your children here. This is the worst experience that I have ever had with any practice in all of my life. I would not trust this practice to provide dental/medical care for my child. I wish I would have read and listened to the reviews before ever making an appointment here.

JaKayla Woolridge Published on Google

Negative experience: I’m highly disappointed after my experience today. My daughter had her first two teeth surgically removed and upon leaving the office and preparing for a visit from the “tooth fairy”, sadly we realized that she won’t be getting a visit. They lost and disposed of the two teeth. The small case that they gave her after the procedure was empty. I know that things happen and I know that it might not seem like a big deal but these were her first two teeth and a token and a first experience that she won’t get back. If I could give zero stars, I would. **UPDATE** The next business day (today), I was able to speak with the office manager, Autumn, regarding the matter. She was VERY apologetic and even went behind to check for the missing teeth (although the incident occurred yesterday). She found one of the two missing teeth in a crevice in the operation room chair. Thank you Autumn for being understanding and empathetic.

Negative experience: I DO NOT recommend anyone to take their kids here. I’ve had 3 different kids in over 8 years attend this dentist and the customer service and support you’ll receive here is NOT pleasant. The high turnover rate with the dentist and administration is always a problem. No one at the front desk is courteous or knowledgeable. You will get 3 different answers to 1 question. This office has charged me a treatment fee after the fact for my child and didn’t advise me of this procedure beforehand, so I didn’t agree it was made aware that it was needed for an ongoing problem. The manager said it was a mistake on their part but I still have to pay it. Not to include, Management doesn’t follow up and treatment coordinator is always behind. At one point, they didn’t have a teen dentist for almost 1 year so my teen missed 2 regular cleanings at this office. JUST TERRIBLE SERVICE!

Aniyah Brown Published on Google

Negative experience: It was our 4 year olds first time at this office and while it was rough on her end because it’s her first time at this location and she has to get used to it, we felt like we were being dismissed at the end of the appointment. I also understand wanting to continue with the appointment and getting her teeth clean, but once noticing that she wasn’t comfortable, we should have been rescheduled for another day or something. Instead we were told to hold her down to retrain her. We were not allowed to book another appointment either. And I hate that they were trying to seem understanding and telling us that “it’s okay we work with kids all the time. She’s fine and she will get more used to it once she keeps coming back” but then kicking us out of the room. We went out to go and try to make a following appointment and another dentist asked about exams and we told her that she only got a cleaning and she said she was gonna go check and see. As soon as the same lady that cleaned her teeth came out she told her no I told them they’re good to go in a very dismissive way. We left feeling so embarrassed and uncomfortable after the appointment.

Coco Jackson Published on Google

Negative experience: This is the worst dentist office you can take your child to. My child went in for tooth pain a couple years back and they suggested a filling. I asked if that was the best option because I didn't want him to continue to have this pain on and off. 2-3 days later my son tooth was infected and then they said he needed a root canal. So, how they didn't know this before. He was given pain and infection meds. I didn't trust them to go back in his mouth, so I let him take the meds and he was good. He got his cleanings and everything else at another office. Well, a little over a month ago. He started having pain in that same tooth to where I had to take him to the ER his pain was so bad they gave him a shot of morphine and some pain meds to take home. So, I called around to get him seen because his dentist was not able to take him until another week. The Children's Dental Group was the only one available. They took him the next day. Me thinking I'm getting my son taken care of. I scheduled the appointment they said he had to be scheduled for a cleaning to be seen though, which was odd to why not just come in for emergency visit. Any who they did they cleaning and he was still minor pain. They suggested the root canal. I asked about it being pulled because it's a back tooth and I didn't want him in pain. The Dr. stated that they can definitely do it, but they would need to do a mold for a spacer also since he is young (16 years old) and the teeth will shift. I agreed and appointment was scheduled for the next day. I verified the day of with the coordinator of a 2-week turnaround for the spacer. 2 weeks went by I called to see if his spacer came in and they acted clueless to what I was talking about. So, I asked to speak to the office manager. She stated that they don't do spacers and that the Dr. wouldn't have told me that because they don't to that in house. Which I also told her that their coordinator stated the same thing. I was so upset I hung up and my mind was on getting my son taken care of elsewhere. That was 1 week ago. The office manager called me back today stating that she talked to the Dr. that told me the information and that they do actually do the spacers there. But I needed to schedule my son to come in for other fillings on the other tooth right next to it in order to get the spacers made. I told them to make sure my insurance is not charged for the spacer, and I will have them do it at another office. They do not know what they are doing and it's sad to say they are dealing with kids. Getting your kids in for any service that they see will benefit them is crazy. They don't communicate with each to each other well, and they have no process that they even understand what they can and can't do as a dental practice. My child suffered twice dealing with this office. Never again!! Zero stars should be an option.

Negative experience: Been coming here for years and the service has gotten progressively worse. 7:45am arrival for surgery on an empty stomach…with a freaking 5 year old… Yet it’s 9:30am and we’re still sitting here. I am well aware of the process, but telling people to be here for an appointment on time and making hungry, annoyed children sit is crazy. Not to mention, there’s literally a million kids in here.

Negative experience: I would not recommend taking your children here. It seems like they only care about getting that money, especially if you have insurance. I will say, my daughter has been going here since she was three years old. Every appointment before this past one has been great. They communicated with me and got us in and out fast, we had no problems with them. However, she is five now and this appointment was sooo different from the rest. They told me my daughter had a few cavities and that they would try to fill them, but may need to put crowns on. They couldn’t tell me exactly how many cavities she had or show me where. They were gonna try to see if they could get my daughter in that day to do the filling/ crowns. The whole appointment was off to me and they wouldn’t talk to me about the cavities. After sitting me in the lobby for a minute to go speak with the doctor to see if it could be done that day with laughing gas, they came back and said they would call me to schedule the appointment to get the cavities filled. They never called me. So I took the x-rays that they took and went and got a second opinion. And guess what!! She has NO cavities. Per the NEW dentist: “She has a small spot on one tooth, however it is not in her enamel and it is not a cavity. They said doing a filling would do more harm than good. But other than that her teeth are perfect.” Again, I would not recommend taking your children here. Also, just my opinion (maybe we were there on a weird day where everyone had something wrong or bothering their teeth)… I just thought it was very weird that every child that came in and out of the office, while we were there, had to get some kind of dental work done and every time they came out to talk to the parents, there was something wrong with every child’s teeth. We will not be going back to this dentist.

Positive experience: I loved this dentist until today. My son and I have been coming here since he was old enough to visit the dentist. However, at today’s appointment, I was informed of a new policy stating that children over the age of 6 cannot be seen with their parent. I find this very odd and would have appreciated being informed before arriving at the office. Given this policy, we will now be looking for a new dentist that allows parents to be present during their child’s appointment.

Negative experience: This place needs to hire people who are actually mentally matured, my daughter came here and they mistreated her, purposely didn’t put the anesthesia in her mouth correctly all because she did not say good morning back, the ladies talked about her saying she doesn’t know how to talk RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER. I get manners but lady this is your job, who the hell cares if you don’t get a good morning back from a teenager, we are also Hispanic so the lady’s ignorance can come off as racist too, and ever since this horrible incident she has been having pain in the back of her teeth all because they didn’t want to do their job correctly. And I’d like to add that my daughter told them to stop because of the pain and they simply ignored her. Honestly whoever serviced her I’d like to have a word with you one on one!

Negative experience: If I could give this place zero stars I would.. Unprofessional!!!! They told me on my 6 year old last dental visit that they wanted to WATCH 2 molars because they could become cavities.. 6 months later which was this past week, they want to put 6 stainless steel crowns on my baby teeth, and I can not be in the room with him. They want to give him laughing gas which I have no clue how he would respond to. They are unorganized, unprofessional, be running all over the place without a clue. I had a dentist come check my sons teeth after xrays and the hygentist hadn't even come to CLEAN them yet.. The dentist had to come back after they were finally cleaned. I will definitely be switching my son. All they care about is insurance money, they do not care about your kids!! Run!!!

Negative experience: The communication at the dentist office is horrible. They are only worried about money. They don’t care about the patients whatsoever. It’s very irritating and they try to accommodate other patients because they are so over booked. Your child is just a number. Remember that when you decide to book an appointment here.

Negative experience: Supposedly policy (not previously done) no parent can accompany their child over age 5 during their appointment servicing. This is ridiculous! I will now drive a further distance due to the unprofessional mismanagement of minors at this office. 1 parent/guardian should always be allowed with the patient at all times unless surgery in a hospital or surgical office is being done.

Negative experience: Terrible. We waited for over three hours and still never got seen before I decided to leave. My other son also supposedly has an infection in his gum, but will not be seen for a few months. They claimed they were going to call in an antibiotic but never did? And that was only after I question them on if it was safe to wait that long to have a procedure if there is truly an infection

Negative experience: We have been going for the past 6 months (3-4 visits) and truly every time I’ve been I’ve seen red flags. From one momma to another, do not come. It is clear that money is their only concern, not the parents and not the children! They are extremely unprofessional, disorganized, crabby and rude. They do not do their part in terms of communicating all that is necessary and they are not thorough by any means in their work. If you are looking for a good dental office for your child, please keep looking. Terrible experience. I would give them a -10 if I could.

Negative experience: My visit here was awful and I left very irritated. I went in for my 3 yr old to get his first checkup and he was being a little uncooperative, as you would expect from a 3 year old. But as soon as I mentioned to her that he's autistic, it almost felt like I was refused service. She left the room for like 30 minutes, some assistants came in and out, and then she finally came back and said she wouldn't be able to do anything unless my son was sedated and told me I'd have to reschedule. Seriously? You can't handle a nervous 3 year old? If only it was a CHILDREN'S dentist.... Oh wait. I felt discrimination against my son because he is autistic, it was very unprofessional, and it gave me the ick. It was a giant chunk of my day wasted on stupid. I believe the doctor's name was Ida Rose. The only people who were actually helpful were the male dental assistant with dark hair. I didn't catch his name, but he handled my son better than the doctor, he was very informative, and he was kind. And the financial clerk whose name I also didn't get, she was also very kind and patient. But either way, I will not be bringing my child here again.

Negative experience: This office is so unprofessional I missed two appointments and was running late for the third appointment for my daughter just to have a cleaning. I called to let them know and that I really needed to reschedule and I was told that my daughter is being dropped as a patient. I really hope that this place gets shut down ASAP.
