Fantastic experience: I’m a very nervous dental patient and Dr. Annika and my dental assistant Leah and all of the staff are extremely welcoming, kind and patient. I can’t recommend their practice enough and the care they show. They take the time to talk through options and are proactive in your treatment plan. I never felt blindsided and I felt like they genuinely cared about great service and each other.

Negative experience: Update: My whole family left after Dr. Hsu left and some of the staff changed. It became a very negative place very quickly. (Original: I've only been once so far, but the staff and atmosphere were friendly and professional. They were great with my young boys having to stay with me, and made them feel welcome and valued.)

Negative experience: Set an appointment for 2PM. I showed up at 1:40PM and the doors are locked. No one came to the door to say anything to me. A food service showed up with food for one of the employees, who opened the door to retrieve the food but shut the door before I could even get a word in. She looked me dead in my eyes and shut the door as I tried to speak to her. I call the phone number provided and girl answers and tells me the office is already closed. She proceeds to tell me that they reached out to reschedule because the doctor had to leave early. I mention to her I have no calls at all from this office which she responds that oh well they tried to reach out but whoever took my number down must have incorrectly wrote down the wrong number because the number didn’t work. She then proceeded to tell me they could reschedule my appointment for another month away from my original appointment. From not being able to write down a simple phone number, to not acknowledging me at the office door knowing you have a scheduled 2PM appointment with a client you never communicated with about the office suddenly closing early because of your mistake, to making me wait another month longer is completely unprofessional.

Negative experience: I would have given them more stars but the receptionist was rude and dismissive. She had issues with the schedule and they tend to over book. If you don't confirm you have to wait because they will put someone else and your spot. And still charge a fee for not showing up. Its all about the money. She kept referring to my son as a girl. They rude and not the first person you want to see when you have a business.

Negative experience: If you don't immediately answer a call because you're working or in a meeting they will cancel your appointment same day. Some staff are nice but because of this I'm changing my review to one star. Especially because I was asked "do you want to talk or do you just want to cry" over the phone when I was crying out of fear I had lost my appointment in such an unreasonable matter. I wish they had informed me of their policy sooner I'm more than happy to call within 24 hours to confirm but the fact still stands they only called me once and then canceled my appointment and then I had to call them back to remake the appointment for them to act like they may not have availability. For the rudeness I was treated with for having emotions and being human, I don't know how to feel about this place now. They didn't even call me to verify they fixed my insurance information after I left a voicemail for them on Friday. Update 2025: Well, I decided to continue to give them a chance. Although I'm still disappointed with how scheduling works and how these things could be fixed by requiring text confirmation the same day, I do appreciate the knowledge the dentists have. Update: 04/2026 I tried to call them to cancel my appointment after they suggested I get 3 crowns which was suspicious, so I went to get a second opinion of which they found the crowns were not necessary. I tried calling to cancel my appointment and no one picked up, called again, no one picked up, called a 3rd time and they blocked me, despite me needing to cancel the appointment. Now I will need to pay the 150 dollar cancelation fee for an appointment I cannot cancel by phone, or I will need to take time out of my work day to go in and cancel. I do not think I will be returning here, from this point forth, from everything that has happened until now, to some of the sketchiness of the suggested treatment plans and cost (3 crowns, 2500 out of pocket after insurance, meanwhile second dentist recommended fillings, 400 dollars out of pocket after insurance.) I do not recommend this place, and as I'm sure whoever is reading this can tell, I gave them multiple chances.

Negative experience: The only thing saving this score from being a 1 star is the dentist. She is very professional and light handed. She is also the friendliest person in the office. The score is low because of the front desk team. They don’t smile, will argue with you about appointment times, and can make the visit unpleasant. Not the people you want to start your day with.

Negative experience: My 86 year old dad lost his Medicare card. The office said they take Medicare but refused to look up his Medicare insurance even though he had his name, date of birth, social, etc... called another office and they looked it up immediately and got him scheduled. Sarah at the desk is turning away elderly clients in our community.

Negative experience: I didn’t go to my latest appointment because it needed to be rescheduled two different times and then was told that I didn’t confirm and so it was rescheduled again. I give up on this place and I will find somewhere else.

Negative experience: Dr. Sun messed my husband's teeth up. Not one but two. Apparently he had a crack in one of the fillings of his molar and so they worked on it, but he was still writhing in pain afterwards because they didn't fix it all the way like they "should." He missed days of work. He had to go in again for care, they fixed it again, after that he didn't have pain anymore, but fast forward few months it apparently developed into a huge infection that festered underneath that he didn't know about. How this was all found out is, he felt this lump in his gums, so he went into an urgent care clinic and got prescribed antibiotics as it revealed to indeed be an infection. While taking that, he saw an endodontist that he was referred to out of this clinic. There they told him two of his teeth were affected and they are pretty much "dead." That's why he couldn't feel too much pain from such a big infection that ate up two of his teeth, because the bone got ate up by the infection. He had to receive a root canal and pay 600 dollars out of pocket. Are you kidding me? I think Dr. Sun needs to get her license revoked and kicked out. Seems like she's been a reoccurring problem as I've read the other 1 star reviews here. This is absurd that their care is so negligent that my husband is about to "lose" 2 perfectly good teeth. After spending like two-ish years paying money after money to get his braces done here. If I could give 0 stars I would. Get that dentist OUT OF THIS CLINIC.

Negative experience: Front office staff (Simone) is very rude and will sit there and argue back and forth with the customers. I have had to come back 3 times for the same error on the dentists end. Don’t waste your time or money here.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Manor Total dental. The ladies at the front desk had a really good energy and I feel very comfortable trying them out for the first time. I will definitely make this my home.

Negative experience: I had a mixed experience at this dental office. The check-in process was smooth, and the office staff was friendly, but the overall visit left me with a lot of questions. After getting X-rays, the dental assistant informed me that the doctor would be in shortly, but after waiting for about 15 minutes, she returned to tell me that the doctor didn't need to see us and handed us a referral to another specialist for my son's dental work. I was disappointed that the doctor never came in to explain why my son wasn’t being seen or answer any questions. I also called later asking if there was anything to help with my son's pain, but I was told there wasn’t anything because it wasn't an infection. I felt the communication could have been much clearer, and I would have appreciated the doctor taking a moment to discuss things with us. Overall, I think the office has potential, but more attention to patient care and communication would make a huge difference.

Negative experience: Dr. Sun is horrible. She lacks compassion, is rough and doesn't educate you at all. Simone at the front desk constantly refers to my husband as my son. Most of the dental assistants are excellent and very calming but Dr. Sun immediately ruins that feeling with her arrogance. You can tell that this is a money grab and she is not passionate about her job or caring for people. Dr. Lomboy and his team are excellent so on Tuesday the energy in the office is upbeat and friendly. I wouldn't recommend Dr. Sun to a rock but Dr. Lomboy is top tier.

Negative experience: I came in as a patient with an appointment, insurance, and hopes of getting my dental care handled—but I left with zero treatment and a very sour taste in my mouth. Because they claimed that the treatment required some payment besides insurance when it wasn't a deep cleaning it was something else but last time I paid that exact price because it was an actual deep cleaning so I knew something wasn't right. First off, I want to acknowledge that two of the staff members I interacted with were very kind, professional, and made me feel respected. I truly appreciated their attitude and warmth. Unfortunately, the front desk woman did not match that energy at all. Her vibe from the beginning was cold, rushed, and dismissive. She didn’t even ask for my insurance info, which felt like an oversight at best—or a subtle assumption at worst. Either way, it was not okay. Throughout the visit, I was made to feel like I was in the way due to a “big procedure” going on. I understand being busy, but there’s a respectful way to communicate that—this was not it. Waste of time , and ultimately received no care at all. It felt like my presence wasn’t prioritized from the start. I ended up leaving without getting anything done, and I’ll be taking my care elsewhere—to an office that doesn’t make snap judgments and knows how to treat people like humans. I don’t normally write reviews, but this experience needed to be said. I wouldn’t recommend this office unless you like wasting time and being brushed off. The two kind staff members deserve better coworkers.

Negative experience: Horrible service. The front office was completely unhelpful. Not only did they hang up on me and my husband several times but then they refused to answer my call until I called from a different number. They provided conflicting information about prescriptions. My husband is in severe pain and taking more otc medication than prescribed. I called to request a stronger pain reliever. First they stated that they can’t send in prescription digitally bc they don’t have the equipment. When I pressed more about what other options they could provide they told me the dr. can either remove the bone graft or we can go elsewhere. Neither of those options are suitable since removing the bone graft will further shift his teeth and/or be more painful and without the “technology” to prescribe pain relief medication that is a huge risk to us. As far as going elsewhere, being that we are self pay and spent over 800 dollars out of pocket we would expect we could continue treatment here. Be aware that they don’t offer any type of documentation stating that they are denying patients pain relief. That should’ve been a red flag from the beginning. I’ve never in my life heard of a dr office that one doesn’t have a patient portal to document what’s going on and two a doctor office that can’t send in prescriptions digitally.

Fantastic experience: A+ at making new patients feel at ease. My visits are always great and the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful… they make my day! The dentist should be very proud of their dental assistants/staff, and I love to support my local community. The Orthodontist team is also outstanding!

Negative experience: I was responsible, scheduled 6 months in advance, planned time off work and scheduled coverage. I get a text to confirm my appointment which I do promptly within 1 minute as the screenshot shows. Fast forward to the day before the appointment. I have a high level meeting. Total Dental calls my wife, not me, and cancels. Then sends the text stating I didnt confirm. I leave a voicemail, no return. Finally I get Sarah who is obnoxiously rude. Cant see who cancelled, can't give me Hanna the manager. Says I can try manager again tomorrow but says she has no idea I'd she will be in. Its unfortunate good dentists will lose good clients. All due to poor managed office staff.

Negative experience: Zero out of ten...I’ve now had two visits to this dental office, and unfortunately, both have been disappointing. While Daisy and Leah were warm and helpful—Leah even made sure I got my dental records and let me wait comfortably until my ride returned—the overall environment was not welcoming. Dr. Sun was the dentist, and while I understand it was the end of the day and perhaps the team was tired or had a long day, the lack of soft skills and empathy stood out. The staff didn’t make much effort to create a comforting experience--especially during painful procedures. The gum measuring was extremely uncomfortable, which I expected due to inflammation, but the cleaning was also painful. I’ve never had such a painful standard cleaning in my life--and I’ve had deep cleanings before. Despite my visible discomfort, there was little compassion or reassurance, which made the visit more stressful than necessary. I also left feeling somewhat chastised. Even though flossing was emphasized during the visit, I wasn’t given any floss or toothpaste to take home—something I know they usually provide, as both my husband and child received them at their last appointments. In addition to the bedside manner, I’ve had repeated issues with scheduling. This is the second time they’ve had inconsistencies with my appointment time. I always use a calendar and write down every scheduled visit, yet somehow the details didn’t match what they had on file. It feels like things aren’t put in writing intentionally, which is frustrating and concerning. I was told I need three crowns, but given the combination of poor communication, painful treatment, and disorganization, I’m very hesitant to continue my care here. Dental care should be rooted in trust--and unfortunately, I didn’t feel that was present during my visits.

Negative experience: I will not be returning here ! Horrible service! I felt so uncomfortable. The actual Dr. was even worse RUDE & ARROGANT ! I felt no customer compassion at all. I walked out of there spitting blood and my gums were throbbing for hours. I told her I could feel the pain and she continued to tell me oh you have lots of recession! I’m telling you IT hurt and flinched numerous of times and she continued to drill and give annoyed vibes to me because I was in pain and moving. Do NOT recommend this place ! What was really funny to me is Dr. Sun thought my two front teeth were Veneers and asked me when I got this work done. How are you a Dr. and don’t know the difference between veneers and regular damn teeth ? Lots of questions here but none that I care about because I won’t be coming back or recommending anyone to this place.

Fantastic experience: Dr Sun is amazing! I had some horrible experiences before coming here and have developed pretty severe dental anxiety because of it. Dr Sun is so kind and I really trust her and her team. I’ve been seeing Dr Sun for the last 6months and I am very happy/relieved that I finally have dentist that I can fully trust!

Negative experience: Terrible Experience - DO NOT RECOMMEND! My husband had an 8:00 AM appointment at Total Dental Orthodontics. He arrived a few minutes early, only to find the office still closed. The front desk employee rushed in shortly after 8:00 AM, showing no concern for waiting patients. When he mentioned his appointment time, he was simply told he would be seen "soon." An hour later, he was finally placed in a dental room, expecting to be seen shortly. Instead, he waited until 9:45 AM—nearly two hours after his scheduled appointment—before finally giving up and leaving. Why require appointments if you have no intention of honoring them? This occurrence was not the first time. If you enjoy waiting endlessly with no communication, this is the place for you. But for those with busy schedules who expect professionalism and respect for their time, I highly recommend going elsewhere.

Negative experience: So let’s document all the red flags about this place and all the reasons you should never step foot in the building. On my first visit, the asian dentist pulled my wisdom tooth that every dentist I’ve ever had said didn’t need to be pulled. This caused another tooth issue, which she damaged so badly it required emergency extraction. Before I went to get it done however, this same Asian dentist told me it would cost almost $809 for a crown on a tooth in the back of my mouth. I paid this, and was having a conversation with the hygienist who informed me that there were options on materials that I was never offered. This woman literally just chose the most expensive thing to out in the back of my mouth, then proceeded to destroy my tooth. That was 6 months ago. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and set my 6 month checkup for 9:00 am. I confirmed my 9:00 am appointment. Then without any communication or request they just changed my appointment to 10. When I asked why they changed my appointment the girl just avoided my question. Today was the final straw, as I was getting my cleaning this dentist who was clearly trying to rush through my cleaning was being way too rough and way to aggressive constantly fussing at me Open! Open! As she butchered my mouth. To the point where I had to physically push her away from me, and say you need to stop. You are being too rough and you are being way to aggressive in your speech. She replied “ I asked you politely to open your mouth and was just …”. Then she threw hew hands up and stormed put of the room. This woman clearly has emotional problems. I’ve never seen or dealt with a group of people lacking professionalism from top to bottom , but this place embodies a lack of accountability. Imagine asking a person who is hurting you telling you to just get over it. Imagine asking a person who is clearly trying to rush through your paid service to slow down and stop being so aggressive and she has ZERO accountability . Then after leaving my mouth bloody and incomplete, they say we can’t finish your cleaning, which is fine, because they clearly couldn’t do it correctly in the first place. Be warned this is by far the worst dentist in Texas. Go here if you dare, but if an Asian woman walks in the door, run for your life. Just to add to this, after they didn’t even finish my cleaning, and made me leave with my mouth bleeding and in pain, they still have the AUDACITY to send me a text asking for me to review their business. This is the level of incompetence that exists in this building. You cut my service and don’t even have the sense to remove me from your automatic texts for reviews after you mistreat me, kick me out, and never apologize for abusing me, yelling at me, and leaving me with a bloody mouth and incomplete cleaning. This building is unethical, unprofessional, and the employees completely lack accountability. Don’t even go to the parking lot if you value your teeth. If you have to choose between this place and a bear in the woods, choose the bear . Edit: To this day, the damage that this dentist has caused to my teeth still has me in pain. In 43 years I never once had any dental work done, nor a single cavity. All of a sudden, the second I go to this place, I need all kinds of work done. Absolutely corrupt office, completely incompetent Dentist and staff. Their credentials need to be checked and validated because I do not believe there’s any way this place is legitimate.

Negative experience: Eric is extremely rude over the phone when it was not necessary at all. I was asking a valid question, as I was requesting a dental form to be filled out by Dr Hsu. Eric kept interrupting, when I was seriously just trying to get my form filled out. Customer service is not great.

Fantastic experience: This is a great place! Aflac recommended them! I have found my dentist. Smiling from ear to ear right now. The techs were very informative and knowledgeable. The doctor explained my situation where I was able to understand it. Overall my experience was awesome! 5 stars well deserved.

Fantastic experience: They are very professional and understand. I got to know everyone within the office and if I was about to give a 10. The doctor himself is very professional and upfront and if you don’t understand he will explain it to you. I wanted Invisalign when I first started and he explain to me why he didn’t feel like Invisalign would be a great fit for me. After starting my braces journey I see why he advised me not to going with Invisalign because I would have messed up with the Invisalign. This is the best team I have worked with and I will recommend them to anybody looking to get their teeth fix.

Fantastic experience: I had my first appointment for a routine cleaning and was very pleased with the service that I received. I have significant upper and lower tori, which makes it difficult to get X-rays. However, the assistant was very patient and gentle. The dentist herself was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I would definitely recommend this practice to friends and family!

Negative experience: WARNING-PLEASE READ>IT WILL SAVE YOU MONEY AND PAIN! I fractured my molar somehow over the 4th of July weekend (2024). The pain was so bad that I had to go to the ER for some help while I waited for the long holiday weekend to end. The ER prescribed me just enough Tylenol 3 to get through the long weekend and get to the dentist as soon as they opened. That Monday, I rushed into Total Dentist and Orthodontics in Manor. Luckily they had a cancellation and were able to see me immediately. After X-Rays, the dentist confirmed it was a fractured molar (#30) under a filling. My options were to try and put a crown on it, do a root canal, or pull it. I opted for the root canal as I was afraid the fracture was in the root. The root canal process was extremely difficult and very painful. Even with the numbing injections I could feel the pain unbearably. They even gave me a ball to squeeze since I was in so much pain. Afterwards I felt exhausted, like I aged 10 years. I told the dentist that I had two Tylenol 3 tablets left. He told me that if I was still in pain in a couple of days to call him back. Two days later the pain had not subsided so I decided to give them a call and let them know. I spoke with the front desk lady and asked if they would prescribe anything for me as I was taking a business trip for a few days and needed some much needed relief at least while I was away. She said she would ask the dentist. She came back on the phone and said the dentist would not prescribe me anything else for the pain as I had already been prescribed Tylenol 3 from the ER. I explained that the ER had only given me enough to get through the long holiday weekend and nothing more. I told her I didn't need Tylenol 3, just anything else would be good enough. I even suggested Ibuprofen 800. She then said the dentist would not prescribe anything at all. I tried to explain how much pain I was in and how difficult the root canal was, to which she replied very sarcastically and uncaring, "Well you can go back to the ER if you want". I was starting to get frustrated with her lack of empathy and tried to explain that the ER visit had cost me $600 for just that prescription. She did not care. I told her I was in complete disbelief that they would not prescribe literally anything to me after seeing how difficult the root canal I went through was. I just forked out close to another $1000 on the procedure and they wouldn't prescribe me even Ibuprofen 800 I then told her this would be the last time they had my business. She replied very coldly and in complete disregard, "Ok that's fine - goodbye" and literally hung up on me. DO NOT GO HERE, THEY WILL NOT CARE ABOUT HOW MUCH PAIN YOU ARE IN!!

Negative experience: On this day 04/25/2024 at 12pm. I called in to cancel my appointment for 0230pm. The man in the front desk who took my call rudely tells me to give them more head ups to cancel. How can you tell anyone to give you more time to cancel when it’s a family emergency? Like I know when that time will be! Worst customer experience ever! Anyone here go to Heritage Dental in Pflugerville instead! I give this place a zero if there was an option!

Negative experience: The front desk at this office is rude, unprofessional and uncoordinated. Not sure about the Orthodontics and Dentist but front desk needs serious training. Tried to provide info and they hang up. Do better please! Worst experience ever!!

Negative experience: WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Called this office about 6 minutes ago regarding my daughter. Asked the lady who answered the phone of my Daughters referral was still good. VERY defense she states no it was from April didn’t let me finish talking. I was calling specifically to get information as why my husband and I were never informed she needed a filing! She was SO RUDE! again defensive! Someone like this should not be answering phone calls. If she doesn’t want to work there she should probably look into doing something else. She hung up on me and said miscommunication was between my husband and when the paper that was handed to my husband clearly stated referred out to female Dr. It’s so sad the staff were really nice and the dentist himself. I believe she’s the owner I’ve heard her accent before. Maybe be nice to people that are bringing business to your business. Ungrateful.

Negative experience: I was denied my child's dental records because the ladies in the office wanted to leave work an hour early. I was told the sign on the door was wrong and that day was special. Ended up spending the weekend at the hospital for an emergency surgery. Nothing can change what already happened but those records could've helped maybe not who knows. Yall were okay with letting my 4 year old go through more pain than needed possibly. I won't spend any of my money with this place in the future.

The girl who helped me and did X-rays/polish was kind and comforting. The dentist was professional and helpful! Probably best dentist experience I’ve had in my 30 years of life. Positive experience: I am a veteran and I was sent to this facility for a periodontal deep cleaning and the cleaning that I received was incredibly substandard! It didn’t even equal the cleaning I get from my dental hygienist at the VA! There was no scraping or scaling of my teeth, it was over in about an hour which I would not have expected for a deep cleaning which is usually done in quadrants, no pain relief was required because the deep cleaning wasn’t really done! My teeth did not feel clean when I left there! I didn’t even get my teeth polished with that gritty stuff or a fluoride treatment nor did the dentist even floss my teeth so the VA got ripped off on this appointment and so did I !! I was told by at least two or three other dental offices that I would need three root canals and this dentist said I didn’t need any root canals! And I have been having problems with my TMJ joint popping and clicking and locking in place which generally need means my teeth are out of alignment since I recently had three teeth extracted and when I told the dentist this he didn’t even bother to check my bite and told me I would need to see an oral surgeon to have surgery done to take care of that! I guess I should have realized that something was wrong with this picture when I walked into the dentist beautiful huge office and there was not one single other patient in the whole facility! I also have at least one tooth in the front where the gum has receded all the way down to the root which should have required a skin graft or a referral for a skin graft to repair the issue so the root wouldn’t be exposed and I even spoke with the dentist about that and nothing was done! So needless to say this dentist is very fortunate to have received three stars and that’s primarily because the dental hygienist was very good at her part of the process which was to take the x-rays and she did an awesome job doing that! I was so unimpressed that I don’t even remember the dentist’s name! I don’t know if all patients get treated the way I was or if this is how he takes care of Veterans! If so I would discourage any Vet from ever going to this dental office as a matter of fact I wouldn’t refer anybody to this office!

Fantastic experience: Brought my 3 and 5.5 yr old here today and had a great experience. My boys are pretty wiggly and sometimes not cooperative but the staff are great at building rapport and listening to their questions. X-rays are tricky for my kids to sit still. The 3 yr old flat out refused but the staff were adaptable and let him watch his older brother go first. Then little one accepted and did it! They really are helped my kids do all the parts of the appointment through listening and adapting to meet both kids’ concerns. Thank you so much!

Anna was thorough and empathetic when taking x-rays and doing the initial cleaning, she walked me through everything clearly and with care. We are relieved to find a dentist we trust near Manor!
