Fantastic experience: First time. Very pleasant staff. Very welcoming. Gives good clear instructions and directions. Good at following up. Beautiful office. Great set up for the kids makes the visit smoother for the kids. The dentist was very pleasant. Took time to answer my questions. Gave the kids little gift at the end. Overall we will make our new dental office. 10/10 would recommend.

Negative experience: Once Dr Bob left the practice, the place has gone down hill quickly! I have taken my three boys here for the past 15 years and am currently looking for a new dentist cause of the new ownership and Dentist. My son needed a cap placed and when we went to get it done, AFTER ALREADY NUMBING HIM, they stated they didn’t have the correct “kit” to do the cap and I would have to return on another day to get it done. When I questioned what compensation I would receive for them waisting MY TIME (they charge late and missed appointment fees when THEIR time is waited) and the Dentist replied rudely and aggressively, acting as if I was crazy to ask for a discount or compensation for THEIR ERROR. I was told they would call me when they have the available kit and it’s been over THREE WEEKS and haven’t heard back from their office. I am so disappointed and wish DR Bob Testen was back as they have RUINED his dental practice and are quickly loosing patients! Don’t bother with this place, the new ownership has ruined Dr Bobs practice and reputation! UPDATE: As of August 10th their office has STILL NOT REACHED BACK OUT ABOUT THEIR MISTAKE! To expect ME to call YOU is ridiculous, You should be contacting me to resolve the issue YOU created!! After seeing another dentist they said FIRST- the treatment should have been done at YOUR EXPENSE as you had already numbed my child up and didn’t have the necessary equipment and that Any Other professional practice would perform it at their expense since it was Your Mistake! SECOND- they stated the suggested procedure wasn’t even warranted and unnecessary and I was going to be charged for a procedure my child didn’t need, in addition to the pain and agony my child would have endured unnecessarily. I am so unhappy with this practice, not only their unprofessionalism but for charging their clients for unnecessary procedures!! I have lost all trust and faith in this establishment and they have ruined the name and reputation Dr Bob had created, heed my warning and don’t go here!

Fantastic experience: Great experience with my children. I especially appreciate the patience, understanding, and dedication shown to my autistic son, who has significant sensory sensitivities. The staff was very kind and made him feel comfortable during the visit. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: I chose this place based on the many positive reviews, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. I was informed that the services for my two children would be fully covered and that insurance would reimburse the full amount. However, the insurance did not cover the total cost, and I was later told that they do not have a contract with the insurance provider. Additionally, I was not satisfied with the quality of service. The technician appeared to lack sufficient experience and took multiple images, stating that they were not displaying properly on the computer. After seeking a second opinion, I was advised that the recommended treatment was not necessary. Overall, I incurred significant costs for services that did not meet expectations. I have since found a new provider and would not recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: My son was in need of emergency dental care and Dr.O and his exceptional staff got my son an appointment and resolved his pain with an hour of seeing my son. I would highly recommend Children's Dentistry! The staff is excellent, Dr is wonderful and the office is a peaceful place for any child who may be afraid of the dentist. Above 5 stars for this dental office!

Fantastic experience: Took my 3 girls to Dr. O today and it was a wonderful experience! First, the waiting room is amazing for kids of all ages. they have toys, a fish tank, and a couple arcade games. my 10, 7, and 2 year old all had fun waiting while I filled out paperwork. The 2 year old even went back to play after the appt. The staff are friendly. Dr. O is gentle but firm and gets the work done. He talks to the kids like they are kids. My 2 year old followed all his commands and did so well! (much better than when brushing at home) Looks like we found our pediatric dental home!

Negative experience: Since Dr. Bob retired, the new receptionist working with Dr O is not very pleasant to speak with when rescheduling the appointments. Things come up that’s why people call to reschedule. She said she doesn’t have availability because she doesn’t know what schedule works for us and then asked me if I am sure I want to reschedule with her voice that did not sound right

Negative experience: We’ve been going to Dr. Bob for years, and sadly since he’s now retired, this practice has gone downhill fast. They seem very unorganized. Last time we were overcharged, and not everything was submitted through insurance as it should have been. The receptionist, who is responsible for submitting claims, couldn’t have been more rude or wasn’t even apologetic for her mistake. The new dentist, Dr. O, is friendly, but we cannot take the risk with payments/insurance, or dealing with rude people at a CHILDREN'S dentist. Hopefully they can turn things around but we will sadly will be finding a new dentist.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Bob and his staff are extremely personable and make kids and parents alike feel confident & comfortable from the moment you walk into their office. the office is clean, appointments are well spread out, and I never feel rushed with Dr. Bob. My son actually loves going to the dentist!

Fantastic experience: This was my kids first dental visit. The staff was excellent. They are very informative, listens to the questions and gave meaningful information to practice good dental care. Hygienist, Lisa and Dr Bob were very professional, communicative and engaged kids so well that my kids felt very comfortable during the dental cleaning and exam. Highly recommend Dr Bob's dental clinic.

Negative experience: Took my daughter in for routine 6 month cleanup. The cleaning seemed to have be done properly. Testen did a quick check after but didn't really say much, no briefing, no explanation, just said she's all done, walked away. Strange. Somewhat unprofessional and expected more. As a professional myself, I usually behave with more detail and explanation. Not sure what we paid for but we'll see if things remain the same on future visits.

Negative experience: Today I called to reschedule an appointment, and the person who rescheduled told me the time I needed was probably not available and sighed. Her tone was utterly disrespectful. I called back to leave feedback for the office manager, and the same person answered the phone and told me that I am not able to leave a message for the office manager I told her that I was calling to notify the manager about a poor customer service experience I just had, and she said it was with her and indicated that she was not rude at all. She hung up on me. I was hung up on by a person whose job it is to be kind to people and reschedule appointments and schedule them. It doesn’t seem as though our business is valued, but we really do love Dr Bob and I’ve never encountered this in the past. I hope the manager calls back to apologize, and that someone cares about what just happened.

Negative experience: Dr Bob is great, but the billing team is very unprofessional. They said they accept my insurance, but when I took my daughter for the dental preventive service, they still charged me a small amount beside the insurance credit? They said that's my responsibility to pay the difference? I never had that experience before for a preventive care. The process they billed client is very unclear.

Fantastic experience: The staff is very professional and very patient. My son has developmental delays and they always do an awesome job in helping him to feel comfortable while examining him with gentle care. Dr. Testen has an incredibly bubbly personality that makes the the experience fun for both of my children. We found our kids (5yr old twins) permanent dentist. i am super happy for their professionalism and ability to deal with children with special needs. The entire staff is awesome!!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Bob and his staff are great with our nearly 3 year old daughter. She is happy to sit still, choose a pair of fun sunglasses to wear, and let him count and check her teeth. He has a way of interacting with kids that puts them at ease right away. His staff is kind and patient, and let her choose a toothbrush and stickers after the appointment. We’ve now been there twice and had great experiences both times. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Okay people! GO TO THIS DENTIST! I have a child who is SUPER anxious about dental visits and we have tried tons of children dentists (5!). I pull out all the stops too--lego bribes come out, everything! Today we went to Dr. Bob for the first time and my child said "This is the best dentist ever!" during his cleaning. My child let his teeth be completely cleaned and polished for the first time EVER (he's 10!). Tonight when going to bed he said it was "an enjoyable experience" and wanted to go again tomorrow. I'm floored. If you have a child who struggles with the dentist this is the place for you. They have a special polisher so they don't have to use toothpaste which my child always hates the flavor of. And if you lean on the crunchy side, they were totally fine with me skipping the floride. Our experience was amazing! Dr. Bob rocks!

Fantastic experience: We were so pleased with our first visit to Dr. Bob Testen's practice. The staff was friendly, and the waiting room was gorgeous (really nice artwork) and fun for my daughter, as there were video games and a fish tank to keep her occupied. Dr. Bob was a great pediatric dentist and gave an honest assessment of my daughter's dental needs, which I really appreciated as a parent. Rather than trying to get more money out of us by going along with our family dentist's recommendation that our daughter needed a filling on her baby teeth, he did his own evaluation and determined there was no need for a filling at all, as there were no cavities. This showed how much experience he has and also that he is knowledgeable when treating little kids. We are now considering switching over completely from our previous dentist to Dr. Bob's practice, as our experience was so positive. Thank you Dr. Bob and staff!

Fantastic experience: We had been at another practice for 4.5 years (also highly rated), I found myself questioning the diagnosis, treatment plans and costs. Not to mention that we seen a different dentist every time we went in. It was at my 6yr old daughter's last appointment where I was told she had cavities on 2 separate teeth that needed to be drilled/filled immediately, and a baby tooth removed at the Oral surgeon. After the Oral surgery, she would have to return for another appointment for a spacer to be placed. So in total 4 appointments, with a cost of over $1800 with insurance. When she had gotten "no cavities" sticker at every appointment since 2019! I immediately called Dr Bob's office(as we had a wonderful experience with our special needs son a few months prior). They were able to get us in the very next day for a Consultation/Second opinion. Needless to say, she doesn't need to have Oral surgery to remove a baby tooth, and the "cavities" that needed an immediate appointment (with her under sedation)were not there. The kids love Dr.Bob, and I have 100% full confidence that his patients are his first and most important priority. You can tell he got into this profession because he truly enjoys it.

Negative experience: This rating is based on my billing experience with this office. If you decide to make an appointment with this office, please be aware that they are NOT transparent on the participation status with your insurance carrier. You are made aware that they take your insurance, which is different than participating. At no point in time, from making the appointment to checking in was this mentioned. So, I get an invoice that I was not prepared to receive. To be clear- I don’t have a problem paying out of pocket, as long as I have been given informed consent. Speaking with the office manager did not get anywhere. She was defensive and did not take any accountability. She pretty much said it’s the patient’s responsibility to figure things out. It’s unfortunate because the dental hygienist and Dr. Testen are great. But, this billing experience is terrible customer service.

Fantastic experience: My son is turning 17 and worried that he will have to change dentists soon because Dr Bob is the ONLY dentist he has ever seen! He feels safe and comfortable with Dr Bob. He is awesome..

We have the utmost confidence in his care, and more than ten years later my kids still can’t wait to visit for the humor and good nature of Dr. Bob and the entire staff. The receptionists were the most pleasant front line staff I’ve spoken to in a long time, and they were so patient over the phone. My sons first dental appointment couldn’t have gone any better. He left excited and continuously told us throughout the day how many teeth he has. The gift bag was amazing and really catered to kids with exciting new items and stickers. Excited to have him continue his pediatric dentistry with Dr.Bob and staff.

All the staff have been pleasant to work with. In 2021, safety and COVID-19 prevention practices are carefully upheld. I highly recommend Dr Bob for children’s dentistry.

Negative experience: He is a great peds dentist. My son had filling done, he didn’t even cry. We were seeing another dentist and she said he needed to be sedated. It was eye opening for me. He was gentle and he makes the experience fun for the little ones. Few months later…. I have to say I like Dr. Bob but his office staff and manager you want to run away from. He was recommended by a friend. My kids liked him. I got on the phone with the office manager who was the Offensive, impolite and evil. She was so rude to me it was unbelievable. I work in a healthcare organization that’s provide world class patient care. I would love to teach the entire office team what is patient care is all about. I thought may be she is having a bad day and if I could speak to Dr. bob and she said he knows this conversation. That’s it for me. I understood, he hired these people so he can let them run his office and not offer or care about his patients who are children’s. I think these people only care about the money and don’t not even care they are building relationships with these children. Then she had the nerve email me my options and one of them is take my kids record and go somewhere else. My kids were so sad when I told them they will not be returning to dr. Bob. Terrible manager and awful front desk can ruin your practice Dr. Bob.

My son was laughing through the procedure and came out saying "I can't wait to go back"; Dr. Bob has a great personality to entertain kids while making sure everything is taken care of. Fantastic experience: I was recommended to Dr. Bob and I was so happy I took the recommendation! They are so happy to see the kids, and you can tell they love what they do! They took all the time needed to explain everything, and they had a lot patience. They make sure your kid is super comfortable and at ease. The place is super clean! I recommend him 100%!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Another great experience with Dr. Bob and his group! Everyone is friendly and efficient. Great Covid precautions including double-masking and huge air filters. They give fun "prizes" for the kiddos at the end of the visit. Dr. Bob doesn't do any unnecessary work or x-rays, which is so important. The hygienists take the time to teach patients/parents how to improve their brushing technique. I can't think of anything they didn't do well and I'm not easy to please.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Bob and his team are the best with pediatric dental care. If you want your child to actually like the dentist and not fight you when it's time to go, then Dr. Bob is the man to go to. All of the hygienist are extremely nice as well. A thoroughly professional place.

Fantastic experience: My 5 year old son had a traumatic experience at age 3 with his previous dentist where he was crying and screaming and tried to crawl out of the office. This morning we took him to Dr. Bob and everyone was so nice. It took about 15min to coax him to sit in the chair. He was still really scared and we had to hold him still, but Dr. Bob talked to him through the exam and he even did what Dr. Bob asked (open, say ahhh, bite down). Afterwards, he got some prizes and stickers. He says he's still scared of the dentist, but I think he'll be okay going back, especially since Dr. Bob was so friendly and he was so happy with his goodies at the end . Update: He had his second visit today and finally got his teeth cleaned! Dr. Bob & the staff got him to sit in the chair and talked him through the cleaning. It's a miracle! We are so happy and proud! Big Thank You to everyone at Dr. Bob's office!

Our 5 year old and 2 and a half year old hadn’t seen the dentist in some time (thanks COVID), and needless to say they were a little nervous to see the dentist. Dr. Bob and Ms Esther made my kids feel as at home as possible. Once Dr Bob had my son laughing, we could see his apprehension wash away. Fantastic experience: My kids have been going to Dr. Bod since they were babies. I couldn't imagine taking them anywhere else. Mrs. Lisa is their favorite hygienist. As a kid I had lots of bad experiences with dentist and I am terrified to go get a cleaning. I wanted to make sure my kids never felt scared. Dr. Bob and his staff are the best! My kids love going to see him, his caring, explains everything in kid friendly terms and is super funny.

Fantastic experience: My kids always love their trips to the dentist and actually are excited to go. Dr Bob is awesome and the whole staff is so kind and patient. They have definitely gone the extra mile to keep the office COVID-friendly. Highly recommend!!!

Fantastic experience: The best! My 4 year old had her first actual cleaning today after having only had exams in the past. She talked to Ms. Lisa and was so comfortable the whole time! Ms. Lisa even went to find a pink flosser when she was told that the orange one would be better if it was pink. ALWAYS going above and beyond!

Fantastic experience: We have been patients of Dr. Bob for almost 18 years. My kids have always loved coming for check ups. The staff is always friendly and helpful. We are so thankful for Dr. Bob and team and the role they have played in giving our children an excellent and positive foundation in dental care.

Negative experience: I am so disappointed in the way this office has handled my daughter’s first dentist visit. I was told that I’d pay the full amount out of pocket (which was $223!!) and that I’d get reimbursed by my insurance within two weeks. I got a letter from my insurance two weeks later, telling me that I’d only be reimbursed $116 out of the $223!! And when I called the office to see what they could do about that, the staff member at the front desk said “we never said you’d be reimbursed for the full amount, we only said you’d be reimbursed”!! Like, seriously?! Isn’t that something that needs to be mentioned? Maybe something like “Be aware that your insurance might decide to reimburse you for only a portion of this amount, not the full sum” would have been a better thing to say when I first set up my daughter’s appointment. Also, when I called them, there were no apologies given, no way to make it up for me, not even with a partial refund. The receptionist who answered my call was just adamant that she never told me I’d be reimbursed for the full amount, and that she had mentioned that they were out of network, which I know for sure was not mentioned in the call! She also mentioned that there was an email sent to me, telling me to contact my insurance to see the amount that my insurance would be able to cover. I never received such an email!! Just to be totally fair though, Dr. Bob himself was great with my daughter during her visit. It’s a shame we won’t be going back again because of how unprofessional his staff was when handling this issue!
