Fantastic experience: Today was my first visit at Wilson Family Dentistry. I was very please that they were able to get me in and looked at even when things seemed uncertain. I truly appreciate you guys so much for going the extra step. I know for sure that I have found the right place for my Dentistry needs. A special thank you to the receptionist and Dr. Wilson.

Positive experience: I had a very serious conversation with Dr. Rachel that caused me to consider scheduling minor improvements to my dental fillings to prevent infection risk. I will consider her suggestion rather than rush to meet an external deadline. I thank her for sharing her wisdom.

Negative experience: Dr. Bob is very competent and knowledgeable. The staff is reliable and courteous. I had given the group 5 stars in the past, but the last time I went, Dr. Rachel was having a very bad day. She yelled at me, said she would no longer take my abuse. What? I just went to the bathroom after the technician finished and Dr. Rachel was working on another patient. No problem, according to the technician whom I had first asked if it was ok to go. Dr. R. would not allow me to speak nor, ask what I had done wrong. She blasted her anger over me. She calmed down a bit before I sat back in the chair. Then, with her dental tools in my open mouth, she started in full force, with the abuse I supposedly had done, not respecting her. ?? Then she yelled that they once had waited 30 minutes for my husband to arrive. With an open mouth, I managed to say I was in time, I am not my husband, and if had been my patient, I would not have seen him. In my mind, I thought, other offices charge for a missed appointment or, like Johns Hopkins, don't see someone more than 15 minutes late. Needless to say, I was extremely shaken by this verbal assault, especially while I couldn't move when she had the tools in my mouth. I will not give 1 star, because the rest of the team is great. I hope Dr. R gets counseling in anger management. Her aggression was unacceptable. It has taken me more than a month to speak to anyone but my husband about that traumatic encounter.

Fantastic experience: I so appreciated the professional and relaxed environment. I thought I had the best hygienist ever with my other dentist who has since retired until I met Cambria today. I’m so glad to meet another most amazing and detailed hygienist. Cambria is amazing! Dr. Wilson has a wonderful super chill (Awesome) bedside manner. He is willing to take time to listen and talk with me as a patient and as a friend. By the way I have never met him before today and it seemed like we had been good friends for years.. Fantastic experience: Rebekah is on another level! As a first-time patient, I didn’t know a teeth cleaning could feel like a full VIP spa experience. She took her time, paid attention to every little detail, and treated my teeth like royalty. My mouth feels so fresh and clean I almost don’t want to eat just to keep it this way. I’m actually looking forward to my next appointment… and who says that about the dentist?

Both Dr. Robert Wilson and daughter Dr. Rachel Wilson are excellent providers utilizing latest technologies and techniques to offer the highest level of service. A dentist myself, both Robert and Rachel are this “dentist’s dentist.” Both provide routine and complex services comfortably and skillfully. Hygiene prevention providers are very skilled and personable. This practice has a home and family feel deserving of your trust. Highly Recommended.

Fantastic experience: Had cleaning and examination by Dr Rachel Wilson. Her cleaning was fast and thorough and she explained clearly what she observed and how it can be treated. Her assistant was also very communicative and cheerful. The people at the front desk was very helpful and friendly.

Fantastic experience: Worked me in quickly for a chipped tooth. Quick, painless and just love how friendly and efficient everyone and everything was. Takes the stress out of going to the dentist.

Negative experience: I went to Wilson Family Dentistry and inquired about a tooth implant, they said they could do it and provided me with an estimate I came back 2-3 months later and I again asked them about the estimate the office manager provided me with something in writing again and the estimate had changed some since the last estimate they gave me but it was only about $200 more so I said Ok she said not to look at the other numbers that my portion was to be $ 1200 something. (again I asked several times about the price both the front office and the manager assured me that the number they provided to me was correct) well a few weeks later after the implant was done I receive a bill from them saying I owed them over $3000 more?? I called the office to inquire what was going on the front staff said they were sorry but they had made a mistake they had miss read the benefits my insurance would only cover 50% of the crown and nothing for the implant then the office staff said you can open a credit card....I was stunned they became very hostile I could not afford to pay over $ 4000 for the implant and would not have done it had they been honest.... it also turned out the implant they put in was not strong enough for where it was implanted so now I need an X-ray once a year to make sure it's holding. DO NOT USE THEM!

I love that this is the third generation of the same family of dentists and its location in a pleasant house near Old Town rather than an impersonal office park. They take my insurance which my previous dentists did not.

Negative experience: BEWARE: I went in for a routine cleaning and declined an X-ray since I had one done just six months ago. In response, Dr. Rachel E. Wilson sarcastically said, “You better go to a psychic to see if they can predict a cavity.” I found this comment extremely unprofessional, rude, and condescending. If the procedure can’t be done without an X-ray, that’s understandable—but there’s no excuse for that kind of attitude. Our family will no longer be using this practice.

Fantastic experience: Great local dentist, and I love the fact that it is now a 3rd generation local dentist, a father / daughter (a/k/a family) practice, that was started in 1958 by Dr. Wilson. I always get someone on the phone when I call during regular business hours. They have some of the latest technology there, too.

My mother-in-law, my kids, my husband - we all go to Wilson dentistry. They are excellent. They take pride in their work and have the experience and expertise that we all want and need in a dentist. Dr. Wilson and Dr. Rachel Wilson show compassion and sensitivity to our feelings (As an as a child, I was scared of my dentist because of the pain, but I am completely comfortable at Wilson dentistry!) They take incredible care of our teeth. They truly care. The entire staff at Wilson dentistry is extraordinary. I could not recommend them more highly!

Fantastic experience: 3/19/25 - And I'm back! I'm a difficult person to get numb for procedures -- Rebecca, hygienist extraordinaire, got it the first time and I was numb though right side scaling AND the filling of two long overdue cavities by Dr. Wilson. Look for more updates as there's a crown and an implant in my dental future! Dec 2024 - I, unfortunately, needed an extraction. Dr. Wilson's staff got me in quickly and during the appointment was patient, and reassuring through the whole process. It's nearly a two hour drive to their offices from my house and well worth it. Many thanks to them.
