Negative experience: Didn't know a Texas dental hygienist at Castle Dental can diagnose, treat and administer drugs! Didn't know a Associate Degree in Hygiene was equal to a Doctor of Dentistry at Castle Dental on Spencer in Pasadena Texas. I was diagnosed with periodontitis and for an extra $162 dollars, the hygienist alone injected antibiotics in my gums. I questioned it, but they acted like this was a normal procedure. I would have rather received a prescription of antibiotics from my local pharmacy for $3 bucks after medical insurance. There was never a Dentist present, much less looked in my mouth. I am sure my contract in-network Dental Insurance will have plenty to say about yesterday's visit. I don't know about anyone else but I am getting tired of Castle Dental overcharging me and having to wait over 3 months later for a reimbursement. No wonder the majority of the population doesn't like going to the Dentist???

Fantastic experience: Great dentist and great staff. My crow came off and needed to reattached. They saw me the day I phoned and gave me the same excellent care. I also like the fact that I am greeted by name when I enter the office.

Positive experience: Charges were automatically posted without listing optional items; had to speak with dental hygienist. Visit was much more expensive then past visits. Not a great visit.

Fantastic experience: Had an emergency, got in the same day, tooth extracted and walked out in one hour 15 mins. Dentist was absolutely amazing and the lady assisting him was so ki d and gentle. The place was clean and all around a 10/10. Loved this place and the wonderful people working there!

Negative experience: Said they knew how to work with yearly allowances within dental insurance networks and they didn’t. Two years later, I received a bill beyond what the allowance was, after being assured that we owed nothing. Don’t trust them!

Negative experience: I had been going to this place for several years, even continuing to visit after I no longer had dental insurance. Unfortunately, my experience during my last visit a few weeks ago was very disappointing. When I came for my regular cleaning, I was told that I needed X-rays, even though I had already had them done in August. Previously, I was told that X-rays were only required once a year. The hygienist said I needed new ones because I didn’t pay for them last time. We eventually sorted that out, but it was already frustrating. Then, when they gave me the list of services to review and sign, they had added several additional services. When I said I only wanted a regular cleaning without extras, I was told that it wasn’t up to me—it was up to the hygienist. I found that very concerning. Another issue was scheduling. When I made my appointment in August, I specifically asked to be scheduled with the hygienist who treated me at that time. However, they changed it without notifying me, and I was assigned to someone else. My appointment was scheduled for 12:00 PM. I arrived at 11:59, but the hygienist told me she still had several patients before me even though it was already 12:15. When I asked the receptionist about it, she said I had arrived early. The hygienist simply said, “That’s just how it works.” I found that response unbelievable. Over the years I overlooked many issues, but the wait times have always been excessive. For my last cleaning appointment, which only lasted about 20 minutes, I had to wait 40 minutes. In the past, the minimum wait time has almost always been around 30 minutes. If you value good customer service and respect for your time, I would recommend finding another dental office.

Fantastic experience: The doctor super nice. The nurse who help the dr is the best she help me today saturday with a retainer. I forgot her name but she knows who is.

Fantastic experience: My only request is maybe one or two actual pain relief meds, not 30 days worth just 1 or 2. Giving a massive dose of ibuprofin while not being able to eat serves no purpose in pain management. Highly ineffective

Positive experience: They were busy the day I was there but after they called me in, their staff was courteous and listened to any concerns I had.

Positive experience: The dental part of my visit (Dentist and hygienist) were great! The billing and checking out process was terrible. I found out without being warned or told beforehand that there was now a 2.8% extra fee for using a credit card. I’ve used a credit card for the 10 years that I’ve been coming to Castle Dental. I don’t usually carry my debit card with me so it’s charged almost $100 for this fee since I was paying for an implant procedure that was nearly $4000! The receptionist wouldn’t let me skip the payment this time (I just had an impression made) and to make it next time. It’s not like I hadn’t been here before. So I went ahead and paid the 2.8% credit card use fee. Nowhere was I ever told that this was a new policy. Also, after I got home, I noticed that I have overpaid by over $2000. The new system you are using has forgotten what happened back in late September when the first part of this procedure began, and they gave me the estimate. I had also used an online $1295 coupon for a discount. That was also forgotten. I will be writing a letter of complaint to the billing department or will confront the manager at my next appointment in April. Needless to say, I am outraged at the slack of information about the new credit card fee and for the over billing and the change in the system procedure. Someone there needs to do an audit of what is happening.

Negative experience: gave me an appt, called me and confirmed the morning of, i jumped through hoops with work etc to make it and when i get there they tell me they will need 24hrs to set my ins up. dont use this un-organized office!

Negative experience: now i’m not the type to come about racism but we at in the waiting room for 2 hours and every person who was not the same race got seen before us had times after us and everyone i mean EVERYONE was seen before us. my husband was there for a tooth extraction because he’s been in excruciating pain. the assistants were trying to force us to get other things we don’t need. we kept telling them what we were there for and they kept trying to make us do other things. then a hour before they closed they decided to say they’re not going to do the extraction because they don’t have time. we had an appointment for 3pm at that. hours waiting in the waiting room, trying to force us to get something we’re not there for, had us waiting longer then told us at 5pm they close in an hour and the tooth extraction would take longer than that when another office did it in less than 30 minutes no problem. you people need to reevaluate the workers you bring into establishments like that where they have to deal with people of all races and ethnicities.

Negative experience: To the owner/operator of this location, I would talk to your employees about having good customer service! You will be losing a lot of business with the people you have in the front desk! BAD SERVICE!!! My mom went to this location and after having a hard time with the device she was given to finish her registration process she noticed another patient say he was going to leave because he didn’t know how to use the same device. Instead of them helping him to fill out the forms, she just took back the device and let him leave! By that time my mom had tried several times to fill the forms out and had told the lady in the front desk that she still couldn’t finish the forms. My mom doesn’t speak English but understands it well. The lady tells another worker that she’s really tired of them asking her for help. My mom at that point told the lady to cancel everything and left.

Positive experience: The staff and the dentist were wonderful. I highly recommend Their services.

Fantastic experience: The personnel is very attentive and Abigail the dental hygienist is always awesome giving excellent care.

Negative experience: This place is an unorganized dumpster fire. I don't know if they are understaffed or just incompetent but either way they need a serious overhaul of their front desk staff. Every time I call its a minimum of 25 minutes on hold. Just now I was on hold for 30 minutes. I called from my work phone and was helped immediately. Make that make sense. Once the final step in my childs care is completed I will not be back. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. The dental field is saturated in this area. You can easily find faster, better, competent care on any given street in this town.

Negative experience: If you are black and being sent to this location please go to another location that's NOT in Pasadena. I suggest the Pearland location. As soon as I walked in there was a feeling of why are you here. & I'm very well presenting and highly educated. Upon me sitting down the patients were in shock that I was in this area and here. The man sitting next to me made sure to move all the way over lol. This is ONLY a Hispanic friendly area. No offense just the truth.

Fantastic experience: The personal is very professional from the moment you set your appointment to the the clerks in the front office, the doctor, the hygienist, etc. They are taking every measure for the patients to feel protected in the middle of Covid-19 pandemic. I was reluctant to have my treatment and annual check up and I am very please with their diligently ways to keep me at ease. Wonderful experience.

Positive experience: I did not appreciate how the hygienist left the suction tube hanging on the side of my mouth while she was cleaning my teeth. Twice I had to move it because it was literally suctioning my cheek near my jaw and it was uncomfortable and painful. She then talked down to me and told me I needed to keep my hands out of the way so that she could do her job. I just patiently endured the discomfort while she finished her job with me. I have never had such an unpleasant experience for a routine cleaning.

Fantastic experience: This office is very nice. The ladies at the front desk are very patient and kind, they don’t make you feel like they don’t want to be bothered. They are ready to answer all questions. They staff in back made me feel very relaxed, welcoming and willing to see how they could help me with dental work. I’d recommend to all.

Negative experience: This place should change their ad to "Making you mad, instead of smile" I’m a new patient, and before my appointment, I called twice to confirm whether I would be able to get a same-day cleaning, and both times I was told it would be possible. I took time off work specifically for this appointment, only to end up waiting for over 2.5 hours, only to be informed that they wouldn’t be able to provide the cleaning as promised, asked me to pay inadvanced for the cleaning service and come back another day. They had multiple reasons: they don't accept same day and was not sure who promised that twice, then said hygienist called in sick. There was no apology or any attempt to take responsibility for the inconvenience. I was made to feel like my time wasn’t valued. I really regret not listening to the other reviews and choosing another place for my care. I would give 0 star if I could, that said, 1 star is for the kind doctor who checked on me.

Fantastic experience: I had my 6 month cleaning, yesterday, 3/25/25,, with their dental hygienist. She was the best! She was quick and gentle. I hope she's still there when I go back in Sept. 2025. Also, I'm a late bird and this office has been very accommodating in giving me late appointments.

Negative experience: The worst dental office ever!!! BEWARE!! These people only want your money!!! Dentist was so short and dismissive with me and practically had to get off the dental chair to ask questions as he was leaving the room. Save yourself some time and money and go to a private practice. These front desk ladies are so rude and snobby will not stop talking bad about their coworker Sandy. To top it off they never sent me the X-rays that I kindly requested for over a week to have sent over to the dental office where I was having treatment.

Negative experience: When you have an appointment time at 10:00 and you don't get call back till 11:00 that's not right. I told them at 10:45 I had been waiting for 45 minutes and all they said was I know. They didn't seem concern or that they even cared!

Negative experience: My insurance paid for partials they order plastic ones from Amazon. My dentist was the wrost. Pull my teeth than got my me Amazon partials. I will never forgive them for that.

Negative experience: Poor customer service. I have been seated in this office waiting for an appointment that was scheduled over half an hour. I've not received the courtersy of an update as to why I'm waiting so long. Clearly my time isn't valued here.

Fantastic experience: I love this place. I am a loyal customer because they make me feel at home, answer any questions I have, and stick to the appointment time because they know my time is valuable. They never try to push any unnecessary treatments on you either. Very trustworthy group.

Negative experience: 1 star for very poor service and poor communication. Staff was not helpful at all and did not care for other peoples time. After getting a procedure done, I had to wait a LONG while to pay for my procedure. Staff clearly did not care enough to have me wait for 30 minutes and obviously did not want my money. I could have easily walked out of the facility without paying. After getting onto them 2 times, I finally was able to check out. If I had not said anything I would have kept waiting. Keep in mind it was not busy either. Castle Dental Spencer do better.

Abegail Bondayrel, hygienist, listened to my concerns and offered to deaden my gums before she even started. It changed my whole experience. Now I go regularly without the intense "dentist fear."

Negative experience: During my appointment the assistant didn’t know where any of the tools where. ( not her fault she was very nice and new ) a hot tool burned my mouth, I was clearly in more pain and the numbing shots weren’t working for the pain , when I asked about other options she suggested just keep going. I had a crown , extraction and root canal . I should have had decent pain management.

Fantastic experience: I have been afraid of dentists all my life. I grew up in rural Indiana. I pulled a front permanent tooth at age 6. The first day I met Dr Eakin I very indignantly told him no gas! I couldn't believe he told me that was good cuz he wasn't going to give me any. We've been friends ever since. He extracted all my top teeth and made me a great set of choppers. He also made me a partial set on the bottom. Dr Eakin and his staff are great or this person sure wouldn't be there!

Fantastic experience: For someone who is traumatized by any kind of dental work, Castle Dental and Dr Eakin are a godsend! Great bedside manner and extremely accommodating to my needs! He really cares for his patients and goes above and beyond every single time! I had to have more than 20 teeth extracted and had implants put in. The whole ordeal was traumatic for me but if it wasn’t for Dr Eakin, the dental assistant Margie and the office manager Katherine I would not have gotten through this whole experience! 10/10 recommend!

Negative experience: I have been coming to this location for years and have always felt welcomed, here recently I went because unfortunately one of my molars had broken and needed to have my braces removed or something figured out to get my molar fixed as I was in pain. The receptionist for the orthodontist side said I couldn’t be seen because I had made an appt with the orthodontist that was previously there and I had to go to wherever he was because they didn’t have my chart any longer, later I found out that they had In fact still had my chart and should’ve never been denied to be seen by the orthodontist there at the Spencer location. Just over all how she spoke to me I found very disappointing, I asked if she could give me the address to the location where he had moved to and her response was “just google it” thankfully Janet was kind enough to provide me with that information even when it wasn’t her responsibility to do so. I have never had any issues with the Spencer location up until this recent time I went. Clearly she has issues with the previous orthodontist but it should have never been projected onto me!

Negative experience: Service is beyond bad and I’m shocked. We waited almost 3hrs for a regular check up! I was told they had my insurance info mixed up and I walked out. Never going back. I wasted time off work for their ignorant mistake.

Fantastic experience: I visited this dental clinic on 06/04/24 I had an awesome experience customer service at the front desk very pleasant and professional, X-ray technician very pleasant and professional also, Doctor Dominguez and her assistant did a wonderful job, I’m very pleased with the results.

Dr Eakin explained my needs and did it with such care and for the first time I didn’t feel like a number or payment. I absolutely will change my family over because it’s so caring and trustworthy to the whole staff. I highly recommend this facility at the Spencer location of Dr. Eakin and his amazing staff.

Negative experience: The wait is very long. The appointment was scheduled at 3:30. Waited over an hour, asked for how much longer and the very unprofessional staff tells me they’re an hour behind. And that I can have my appointment rescheduled for Saturday after I’ve been waiting for over an hour. I should have been given this option before I sat and waited over an hour. Staff is very inconsiderate, they do not care how long you wait or if you have other things to do. They will make you wait hours. Very disorganized and incompetent staff.

Fantastic experience: Dr Jeffery has been amazing. I’ve had a lot of work done and I am a huge crybaby and pretty sensitive with meds. He has made me feel super comfortable and always taken really good care of me. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this place. Dr. Jeffrey is awesome. I have a horrible time with mouth pain. Everything just makes me squirm and hurt when it's my mouth. He got the shots done as quick as possible, let me go numb, checked on me to see if I still had pain, reinjected me when it started wearing off, and was able to pull the 2 abscessed and crumbling teeth I had. He took one look at my mouth, x-rays, and heard my horror story from another dentist. This is my first step toward a full set of dentures, something I was told wasn't necessary from another doctor. I may be having to pay out of pocket for this, but I know he cares about me as his patient and isn't charging me anything other than what is necessary. If you need a great Doctor, friendly and knowledgeable staff, clean office, and a new smile come here. I will post pictures once I get my new smile.

Negative experience: Had a crown installed about 3 years ago. I was told I had 5 years of reinstallment if it came out. Called 2 times both times I was put on hold and told warranty was 3 years. They never had a problem taking my 5000 I spent with them in a year. So just came to my new dentist and they are about to glue it. After this, I'm gonna see how I can submit a complaint.

Negative experience: This dentist is ridiculous. I went in to get a route canal and crowns. I went in March and had the route canal and temporary crowns put in. I AM STILL WAITING ON THE PERMANENT CROWN. I have been legit waiting over 7 months to get this dental work finished. Yet they still have been taking the money for the dental work they have not even completed. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!

Fantastic experience: Just started getting back on track with my dental and decided to give Castle Dental a try. They did a great job on setting me up for appointments and updates on a new crown and cleaning. The manager offered payment plans for the dental services and overall did a great job on keeping up with my satisfaction on the service. I highly recommend this location for all dental services, I will be doing business with them again, the team and management is great here.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience for my deep cleaning. I was greeted with smiles & good mornings upon entry. Yanet (dental assistant) made sure that the procedure was explained thoroughly and even checked on me after services were rendered. Abbey (hygienist) was the absolute best! She kept me calm through the deep cleaning process & spoke encouraging words. If I had questions, she responded without hesitation or frustration.
