Fantastic experience: Went for the first time yesterday and was very pleased with my service. The staff is very friendly and the office is kept clean and sanitized! Dr. Kauser helped me find the best dental plan and Kyle did an amazing job on my cleaning.

Positive experience: Overall, our experience was okay. Both of my children had appointments scheduled at the same time. My older child was seen fairly quickly, but we had to wait more than an hour for my son to be seen, which was disappointing. Since their appointments were at the same time, I expected them to be treated in a similar timeframe.It felt like unless I mentioned that we needed to leave early, there wasn’t much urgency about the wait. Once my son was finally seen, the care itself was good and the staff was kind. However, the long wait made the visit more stressful than it needed to be. I’m still unsure if we will return, but I hope future visits will be more mindful of families’ time.

Positive experience: I called several months & ask if they do IV sedation. A person I spoke to said yes. So, my son went to have his teeth looked at & pulled. After meeting with dentist, they said they can't pull 3 of them due to being in the sinus cavities. Has to be done by oral surgeon, but they can pull the rest of them. We made appointment & saw oral surgeon and had 3 of the teeth pulled. Then he healed up. Yesterday we went back here to the northgate office to make an appointment to have the rest pulled and dentures made. They said they don't do IV sedation. Come to find out...the person I spoke to when I very first called northgate does not work there. She is just a hotline # that takes calls. She is the one that told me they do IV sedation. They need to have actual person WHO WORKS AT NORTHGATE ANSWERS PHONE CALLS.

Fantastic experience: She did a superb job getting my teeth clean. Invisalign trays had stained them but now they are much brighter!

Negative experience: Changed over to a different dentist, they said I didn't have periodontal disease contrary to what Northgate said and treated me for. When administrating novacaine they hit a nerve which let me tell you hurts like hell They completely botched a crown install, had to order a new one and also had to get a root canal. Insurance claims they did not take the path of least resistance. Also call me old fashioned but I prefer that the people working inside my mouth don't smell like they just left a dispensary. Would definitely caution visiting here for any major work.

Fantastic experience: Been patronizing this dental facility for better than 15 years. Have always been courteous and eager to assist any problems or questions you might have. I just love my dental assistant I feel so safe when I sit in her chair. And Dr Z is the best. I can truthfully say do not hesitate to book an appointment, you will not regret it.

Negative experience: Two stars because the only thing I liked about this place was the hygienist.

Fantastic experience: After a recent horrible experience elsewhere, and a lifetime of dental anxiety, I did not walk through the door in a calm or pleasant state of mind. All of the staff i met and spoke with yesterday were phenomenal. Empathetic, gentle, personable, and calm were the standard, and contagious. Dr. herself is like a human anxiety medication, and I feel confident about returning for the remainder of the care I need.

Fantastic experience: Kyle the hygienist is very personable. He does a thorough job cleaning your teeth. Very professional.

Negative experience: They dont give enough information especially when their trying to make you go into debt getting dental care

Negative experience: Was consistently for services I never actually received- they billed for Invisalign without the dentist talking to me about it or the “pictures” being taken. When I confronted them, they stated “there’s no way we could bill you without the X-rays”, but they are unable to show me said X-rays exist. Dentist was rude and yelled at staff in front of me, firing one of the new hygienists from my case while I was in the chair. She consistently showed frustration when the numbing medicine hadn’t kicked in yet, rolling her eyes and sighing at me when I raised my hand to say it hurt.

Positive experience: I had a great experience there, as far as a dental appointment can get. The technician was very kind and accommodating with me. I had sensitivity issues and she tolerated me pretty well. The finance person was very helpful. Showing me different options and plans. And she gave me a couple of free flavored Chapstick, yeah.

Fantastic experience: Great Dentist and staff. Yesterday I had my lower teeth pulled for immediate dentures. Next week the top. Very professional and they have compassion for their clients. Will recommend to everyone I know. Thank you.

Negative experience: After multiple visits to Northgate I've come to the conclusion that they are most interested in selling services that are not covered by insurance. They have the latest technology and their staff are professional, and friendly but, they consistently over promise and under deliver! I would not recommend them for anything beyond basic services like cleaning and x-rays. Don't do Invisiline unless you just need basic straightening. Go to an orthodontist and consider braces, even if you're older. I also would not recommend them for tooth extraction or implants.....go to an oral Surgeon.

Negative experience: I have gone here for 5 years. In five years the only fix has been “put a crown on it”, never repair the cavity. Most recently I had a filling come out that was placed by previous dentist, yet again, “put a crown on it.” This time I didn’t fall for it and got a second opinion. What do ya know, they filled said cavity without hesitation and for 1/20th the cost of a crown. This place is extortion at its finest, don’t fall for it.

Negative experience: I went here after not having dental insurance for a while, so I knew I would probably need some work done. I also needed a referral to get my wisdom teeth removed. After my initial appointment, I was scheduled for a regular cleaning. During that visit, the dentist told me I had cancer in my gums and proceeded to run multiple unnecessary treatments.When I went to the oral surgeon for a second opinion, they confirmed that I do not have cancer and that this dentist had no right or medical basis to make that claim. To make things worse, I’ve received bills labeled “outstanding treatment call,” and every time I call to ask what the charges are for, I’m told only that “insurance didn’t cover everything.” That’s true, because insurance doesn’t cover unnecessary treatments. Highly would not recommend this place for anything beyond getting a referral, unless you want surprise bills and unnecessary procedures. Also after reading multiple reviews this seems to be an ongoing thing! I will be filing a complaint.

Negative experience: I arrived 10 minutes early to be taken back twenty minutes late. And that was after they kept my ID and insurance card at the desk that whole time. I had to go up and ask for them back after they said they'd "bring them right out to me" The tech was very lost and kept getting confused on what she should be doing. And they even kept my parents' contact information on my file after I specifically requested them to take it off - information from over 15 years ago. The doctor barely looked in my mouth before she told me my bad tooth needed pulled - which I figured. But then with barely a glance at me, she started going into telling me that a bunch of other teeth in my mouth needed pulled without even discussing things like crowns or other treatments. She also said she wasn't comfortable trying to pull my bad tooth because she "wasn't comfortable because anxiety is listed on my chart". I wouldn't want her touching me anyway with how unprofessional it all was. Then when I went to leave, they couldn't run my insurance. They eventually let me leave because it was time for them to leave too and gave me a 'walking bill' just in case I needed it for insurance. And it lists my FATHER'S information and insurance instead of my own. That was after I told them to change it. So hopefully my father that I'm no-contact with doesn't find out I went to this dentist. I won't ever go back again.

Negative experience: DO. NOT. GO. HERE. I’m not sure why there’s even so many good reviews maybe my experience is just different. But then again my sister faced the same issues. Non-stop tooth sensitivity for over a year because they did not fill the cavities correctly. They also seemed to have filled premature cavities which weren’t even necessary to fill at the time— for more money of course. The pain was EXCRUCIATING for months starting immediately after, but it eventually got to a point where it was more calm. I couldn’t eat for weeks though. Sensitivity is only supposed to last 2-4 weeks MAX. It’s still somewhat unbearable and I wince in pain at the worst moments. Second opinions from other dentists say they obviously did it wrong. And the damages could be irreversible and I could suffer with extreme sensitivity for life. The customer service was also bottom of the barrel when I went. The front desk workers are literally so rude and passive aggressive. On top of that they tell you to show up early for an appointment but if your appoint is at 2pm, you’ll be lucky to be in the chair by 2:30. Happened every. Single. Time. Case in point they do not know what they’re doing when it comes to fillings because they repeated the same thing with me and my sister. The whole experience was reckless. It’s just too risky going to them. I came in with LIGHT pain and came out of this experience with potentially suffering for life. Newer dentists have told me that I’ll needed my fillings re done but every time a filling needs to be done (which is usually inevitable) the drilling gets deeper and deeper. So northgate basically played in my mouth with their work and I’ll be lucky to make it out of my early twenties without a root canal. I NEVER leave reviews but this has been dawning on me recently— you only get one set of adult teeth! Chose the right dentist

Negative experience: Staff is very friendly, but I have chosen to move on from this dentist office. I have never had a cavity, but this dentist office kept telling me that I was starting to show signs of cavities and needed to buy their toothpaste. I have switched to a new dentist, and once again, have been told NO cavities or signs of them. I feel like this was intentionally done to make money, and that makes me very uncomfortable.

Fantastic experience: Shelly is the best. She explain things as she does them. Answers questions in a way you can understand and advocates for her patient. She makes an effort to know her patients by paying attention to conversations and remembering those details on subsequent encounters. Thank you for all you do!

Fantastic experience: I have always been treated like family at Northgate. Good friendly professional service. I have no problem in referring them to friends or family. My teeth were not the greatest but they have taken the time and effort to give me a smile I can be proud of. They always remind me when I have an appointment and and are good about getting me in with my hectic schedule. Good people, good service, excellent results. It's a win, win situation with Northgate.

Fantastic experience: This was my first time visiting Northgate and I had an amazing experience. I had a couple of teeth that were causing pain and they got me right in. I was grateful for the chat, I messaged the team at 6:30am and someone responded immediately and got me right in that morning. The Dr. Was very very nice, gentle and had a great bed side manner. The dental assistance was amazing as well. She took her time making my temporary crowns. Her and the Dr. Consistently asked if I was doing okay, made sure I was comfortable and did not cause any pain for me at all. I will be returning and referring anyone I know to Northgate. Fantastic experience: I was misled by a phony Facebook post offering emergency dental services. We were sent to Northgate Family Dental. Even though they had no record of our appointment, they worked me in, provided me with an examination and created a medical plan that was prefect for my needs. They checked with my insurance company and acted accordingly. They also fully presented options and discussed consequences for each. Amazing group! The staff were so friendly and professional-- from receptionist to the dentist and every single woman I encountered. I will definitely recommend this practice to everyone!

Fantastic experience: This was my 1st visit. I'm excited to tell everyone what a great experience that I had. From, my 1st phone call to make the appointment, to the office personnel, the hygienist, and of the Dr, everyone worked as a team. The technology implementations used were amazing. They offer so many services. Truly a full circle. They are 1st rate, and just awesome. I've been going to a dentist for 50 years and this group was/is the BEST!!

Dr Zeeshan & her team are wonderful, Dr explained the treatment plan & then did the procedure when I was comfortable. Fantastic experience: I had a front tooth crown break off. Northgate Family Dental told me to come right in, and I'm not a even a patient there . It was the most exceptional care/ experience ever. I left in one visit with a beautiful , temporary 3 tooth crown. Highly recommend Dr.Zeeshan Anjum and tech , Alexa.

Negative experience: Very bad experience was told one thing over the phone then something different apon arrival. And Still left in pain. Had to go to different dentist to be taken care of.

Fantastic experience: The staff is very friendly and talkative. They explained the procedures and prices beforehand. The prices fall into the price range other dentists charge.

Negative experience: Pay attention to your wallet! They will take x-rays once every 6 months and all different dental insurances I ever had only cover you once every 12 months, so I had to pay $55 out of my own pocket. And they'll apply fluoride without asking and no insurance would cover it, so I had to pay $37 for this. For one teeth cleaning visit, my insurance paid more than $100 and I paid more than $90+ out of my own pocket.

Positive experience: Work performed was satisfactory. Price was excessive for what was done. Cleaning of teeth and x ray's cost should have been much less. Facilities were not up to date. A/C was not running while I was there.

Fantastic experience: Took a friend here (after 4 other dental offices) and was told his insurance had expired. His jaw was so swollen and had a major abscess. They took him in, evaluated the problem, and prescribed him meds, AT NO CHARGE !! Number 1, in my book.

Fantastic experience: I continue to be very impressed with Dr A and the assistants, techs and all office personnel in this office. Everyone works together well; they help each other and teach each other as well. I believe that Dentistry is not something you want to be done in a hurry, if you want it done correctly. And I disagree with anyone who gives a bad review because of the amount of time you may need to spend at an appointment.

Positive experience: There was a new front desk person who wS very pleasant and efficient.my hygienist was as usual thorough and really good at what she does and a real people person too . It was a win win situation .

Negative experience: Actually the worst experience I ever had. Numbed the wrong side of my mouth and took me getting up from my seat to leave after waiting in the dentist chair for 45 minutes for the dentist to finally fill my cavities.

Fantastic experience: I was in the middle of trying to find a new dentist and had a dental emergency. Northgate got me in, put in a temporary crown and did it all with such care! It was a pain free experience all around and I am so grateful to have found them!

Fantastic experience: Only dentist I will go to. Dr Z is the nicest provider I have encountered and explains everything in great detail and answers all my questions. Front end staff are extremely nice and personable. My hygienist Shelly is the only one I let clean my teeth (I’m sure the others are great too but she did such a great job the first time, I stick with her). Negative experience: My first visit and only visit to this office was over a year ago, hygienist was fantastic took into consideration my concerns and addressed them. When discussing payment with the receptionist I was very adamant to the fact that I didn't want to owe anything to them, I was told by different members of the staff which areas of my visit were cover under my insurance. The remaining open balance was paid through my care credit line and that was the end of it I was told that with the payment through Care Credit everything will be covered. Now a year later I'm getting a bill for this one and only visit when I was told the visit had been fully covered by both my insurance and Care Credit. Why would a bill be sent a year later after the service was provided? Why was I told I didn't owe anything to the office the very first time? When I called the office to question the bill, I was told that I owe that amount even though initially I was told everything was covered? A year and some months later? Not only have I been lied too, but this has also been more than unprofessional treatment. My advice to you reading this review is to be very careful when going into this particular dentist office, they will sit you down tell you which part of the treatment are covered under insurance, proceed to offer a care credit line, tell you the visit has been fully covered and paid for and a year and some months later you will be getting a bill for almost $200.00.

Negative experience: Not the best dental experience I've had. I came for a new patient appointment and general cleaning. I did not receive my cleaning that would've been fully covered by my insurance, and instead I was offered an expensive clean at a later date. I sat for almost 2 hours in a chair and was only able to get X-rays and scans of my teeth. They did not seem very considerate of my time and my usual expectations at a new dentist were not met.

Negative experience: I hate leaving bad reviews, but I feel the need to warn anyone with a budget, anxiety or a busy schedule that this place might not be the best fit for you. The dentist promotes a membership option for patients who don't have insurance. I bought the membership and then when I went to get the service done the financial assistant told me it was actually cheaper to have the work I needed done if I didn't use the membership! That assistant was the only person in the office who I felt actually looked out for me and my money. The dentist tried convincing me to pull a tooth and replace it with an implant when all it needed was for the filling to be replaced. I tried explaining that I didn't have the kind of money to get implants just because, but she dismissed my concern and told me it wasn't that expensive. I have since had the filling replaced by my current dentist and my mouth feels and looks great again! The dental hygienist was very informative, but definitely not gentle and did not seem to respect his client's time. I went in to have a very expensive deep cleaning and the hygienist said he needed to reschedule me to someone else's appointment time and bump them to another time. I declined that appointment because I didn't want to inconvenience someone else. Then at my next appointment he said he had to reschedule me again because he didn't have the right antibiotic. So, I went to the office 3 times for one cleaning! If the office had only called me to tell me it wasn't a good day for me to come in, I could have understood. I would expect an upstanding dental practice to send x-rays on request to a patient's new dental office. Northgate Family Dental refused to send my x-rays to my new office. With Northgate Family Dental I felt anxious about my dental health and that I couldn't afford to get the best care for my mouth. My current dentist's office is a much better fit for me. Everyone there makes me feel like my dental health is manageable and I don't have to waste my time or money to take care of it. On the positive side... Northgate Family Dental has some really amazing technology, dental skills and information to offer.

Fantastic experience: Northgate was recommended by a friend and I'm glad I came! Staff and Dr.Z are very accommodating and I am getting another upper denture that my previous dentist couldn't satisfy me with! Also, the cost is much, much less than I paid the other dentist! Looking forward to the final product!

Negative experience: Now that I've been to a great dentist, I can fully review this terrible place. Go at your own risk!!!! I cannot emphasize that enough. They will try to separate you from your money any chance they get. First, there is the wait time. I went here 3 times for scheduled appointments. I always arrive a few minutes early. Despite that, I had to wait an hour one of those times. The other instances, I waited 20+ minutes in the lobby after my scheduled arrival time. Once they finally got me in an exam chair, the dental hygienist hardly cleaned my teeth. She picked at a few places and called it a day. Whether she was lazy, intentionally negligent, or incompetent, I'll never know. Next came Dr Z. Right out of the gate, Dr Z recommended Invisalign. My previous dentists have always assumed I had braces, which I never had. My teeth are naturally aligned. They also suggested they use this fancy device to scan for mouth cancer, which would add an expense to my bill. Again, another money grab. Then she suggested I had 4 cavities that needed filling after X-rays. Like an idiot, I ignored all the red flags I observed. I gave her the benefit of the doubt as a professional, and I scheduled the fillings. No surprise here, but the fillings were a nightmare! She had a dental assistant shoving blocks between my teeth during the procedure. Instead of just the dentist and their drill in my mouth, I had 2 pairs of hands in there. It was an extremely uncomfortable and claustrophobic experience. The dentist was clearly incompetent! I believe they even shifted my teeth because I now have a gap that I did not have before the fillings. Dr Z was also messy with the resin. lt was all over my other teeth, leaving them feeling gritty for a few days. Finally, when I complained a few months later that one of the fillings hurt at the slightest touch, Dr Z recommended a root canal with an endodontist. Luckily the endodontist was not a fellow scam artist. She sent me back to Dr. Z and recommended the cavity was refilled. Dr Z. was skeptical, but she did it. The tooth still hurt to the touch. In the end, I went to another dentist who redid the filling, again. The pain was gone the same day. Do not go here unless your goal is to be neglected!!

Fantastic experience: Staff was friendly and so welcoming . We had an emergency…got us in same day ..made a plan and scheduled us the next day. Truly appreciate how quick they responded to the dental emergency .

Negative experience: The hygienist, Shelly, was very nice and did a great job with my grandson. But I’m not happy with the fact that they couldn’t accommodate my young grandson when he was apprehensive about the X-ray. Then the dentist was very annoyed bc the X-ray was so unclear and rushed right through the exam. In no way, did she look at each of his teeth.

Fantastic experience: I had a tooth extracted, and the procedure went perfectly with no pain or discomfort. Additionally, I needed a cap for another tooth, and they made sure to complete the temporary cap quickly to fit my work schedule. The doctor and her assistant worked seamlessly together.

Fantastic experience: The entire staff is always friendly and professional, very welcoming and making all my visits comfortable and stress-free. Thank you all for what you do! They took the time to explain everything to me in a way that was easy to understand. I felt so comfortable and at ease during my visit and was really impressed by the level of care I received. If you're looking for a great dental office, I highly recommend them! They definitely earned five stars for their outstanding service.

Negative experience: Wow, what a difference (in a bad way). Was treated badly. Made to wait in the dental chair for 20 minutes (for a scheduled appointment) before Dr. Z found time to address my issue and even then neglected to do any repair work so I left in the same condition as I did when I arrived. The checkout gal, Emily, was dismissive and rude. No follow up either.

Negative experience: WORST DENTIST IVE EVER BEEN TO! The desk didn’t seem to understand how to deal with my insurance. It took an hour and a half for a cleaning!!!! They were pushy about unnecessary procedures probably because my insurance would cover it. They took panoramic X-ray, bite X-rays, and tried to take an VERY unnecessary Invisalign scan that I stopped them from completing. The dentist came in before the hygienist. The hygienist didn’t clean in the nooks of the chewing area of my teeth EVEN after saying I had a cavity starting in the chewing area of my tooth. Everything seemed very unorganized and unprofessional. I went here because it is where my insurance covered but I would rather pay out of pocket than go here. My mouth FELT DIRTIER leaving there AFTER A CLEANING.

Fantastic experience: Most friendly dentist I’ve been to everyone in the building is very kind and helpful! I’ve had multiple appointments & haven’t had a bad experience with any of my treatments & they have been able to work late a few times because of my work schedule! Highly recommend!

The Doctor also explained everything and why she was recommending the work that needed to be done. After some past experiences, I’m happy I found this office

Positive experience: They screwed up collecting from my insurance and never followed up with them. They never sent an invoice. Then they charged me full price for 2 visits. On top of that, they could not provide an itemized invoice when I asked for it in person. I went in for a simple X-ray, cleaning and checkup. They decided to add extra tests without checking my insurance coverage that I am on the hook for. I will be looking for a different dentist.

Fantastic experience: Our experience at Northgate Family Dental far exceeded my expectations. Every staff member was so kind and really made this a great experience. The lady at the front desk went above and beyond to get the correct insurance information for me. My sons had Nick as their hygienist and I cannot say enough good things about him. He was so patient and good to my boys, they were so scared to come to the dentist and thanks to him they didn’t want to leave the office when we were done! We definitely requested to always have Nick work on them when we come back! Dr. Z was very thorough and took the time to make sure we didn’t have any questions left unanswered. 10/10

Negative experience: I came straight from work to an appointment and was running a few minutes late. I could not call because I was driving, but received a call when I arrived letting me know they didn't know if they'd be able to do the full appointment because it was 7min after apt time. I told the person at the front desk that I would rather reschedule because of the conversation i had just had. I didn't want to be an inconvenience for being late and didn't want to be charged two separate visits if not everything could be completed for the routine checkup. I have waited in the waiting room here for appointments for over 30 minutes on more than one occasion in the past so I was kind of shocked. It is a shame because I really really liked the dentist and drive from Pekin because I had finally found someone I was comfortable with.

Fantastic experience: The Entire Team at Northgate Dental is awesome they welcome you with open arm and go over and beyond making sure your comfortable and relaxed. I would give them 10stars if I could because the atmosphere is so welcoming and caring keep up the great work

Fantastic experience: Both my boys needed dental exams and cleanings for school today. The hygienist, Kyle, was very patient and did a great job with them. The Dr. Z explained things thoroughly and was great as well. They can't wait to come back
