Fantastic experience: Love this office and Dr Cohen!

Fantastic experience: Bella Dental in Oxnard is hands down the best dental office I have ever been to! From the moment I walked into the office, I felt very welcomed . The entire team is warm, professional, and genuinely kind which makes such a difference when you’re in a situation like the one I was in… in so much pain I was unable to hold back tears. I was truly taken aback by the sympathy and warmth they showed me. Dr. Cohen is incredibly skilled, gentle, and thorough. He takes the time to explain everything clearly and makes sure you’re comfortable every step of the way. You can truly tell he cares about his patients and takes pride in his work. The office is very clean and runs on time which I haven’t encountered at past dental offices I have been to, so this is greatly appreciated! If you’re looking for a dental office with a team that goes above and beyond Bella Dental is the one. I’m so glad my friend recommended them, I highly recommend them as well!

Negative experience: The office required an uncovered desensitizer for fillings and would not do my fillings without it. They also offered Starbucks gift cards for 5-star reviews, which made me realize that a lot of the 5-star reviews posted may not be genuine. I'm going somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: The staff is friendly and the SMILE the dentist is great not pushy like others. Quick with booking for appointments. I like how they offer water. The dentist is profesional with his staff.

Fantastic experience: I picked this dentist after a friend recommended Dr. Cohen and his team and I’m so glad she did. I hadn’t been to the dentist in several years and needed some work done and every time I come here the experience is always wonderful to the point I’m happy to be at the dentist. The front desk staff is always welcoming, professional, kind, and helpful to everyone. The office is always clean and comfortable. The dental assistants are skilled and quick and so nice. And Dr. Cohen is the best dentist- he is so personable and friendly, explains every diagnosis and procedure thoroughly, and is very in tune with his patients paying attention to any signs of discomfort. I recommend Bella Dental to any and everyone!

Fantastic experience: Went in for my 6 month dental cleaning 11/19/25. The dental hygienist, Cassandra, did a great job. She was professional and friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. Anna did x-rays of my teeth, which the doctor looked at. All of the staff really care about their patients. It's really an enjoyable experience going there! I have been going to Bella Dental since November 2022, and I'm so glad to have Dr. Cohen as my dentist. He is very caring, and kind, does great work, is professional, but friendly! The front office staff are also so friendly, caring and nice! Their office has state of the art equipment and is the cleanest doctor's office that I have been to. I’d give Bella Dental 10 stars - highly recommend them! Linda

Negative experience: They say they take medical for crowns, but when they send the bill to medical, they use the codes that medical will not cover then try to charge you- medical specially said they have on hand a “manual of criteria” so they can provide the codes for medical to authorize, but they won’t use them, so services get denied. Everytime medical has tried to call to get a follow-up reply as to why they won’t switch the codes, they say the person they need to speak to isn’t available. Don’t waste your time- call other offices with the codes you need and make sure you aren’t going to waste time going to get X-rays and then sit for weeks waiting for a tooth to be fixed and told they won’t be covered.

Fantastic experience: We all not like going to these appointments but this dentist is a 10/10 got a root canal done and a new crown on my tooth cause the cavity had gotten infected and obviously this is a serious procedure so I was kinda spooked but the doctor is a pro ! has a soft hand you wont feel a single thing!

Fantastic experience: My whole family uses Bella Dental and I couldn’t be happier with my experience there. The staff is all lovely and helpful. They do all they can to make you comfortable, answer questions you may have, overall just incredible place. It had been over 5+ years since I had seen a dentist and though the common dislike or fear of the dentist is understandable, there is no need to worry about that fear with Dr. Cohen. A sweetheart, a professional through and through, and I feel lucky to have found a place I can trust.

No long wait times. The offices are CLEAN w/ state of the art equipment. The staff is friendly and professional. Dr Cohen explains everything, and he is SKILLED. I had an emergency extraction last week and it was swift. I’m having more done this week and I’m not even anxious. I’m treated like a patient, not just a consumer. I wish I’d found them sooner.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to this dental office by my sister and I am so happy that I went. They are absolutely wonderful. This was a great experience from the beginning until the end. The receptionist was so nice and efficient scheduling me and getting my information. The tech who took my x-rays was so respectful and made sure I was always okay and if there was anything I needed. The dentist was the best dentist I think I have ever had. He sat and listened to all my concerns and explained to me what was going on with my teeth and gums. He as well gave me all the instructions that I will be doing to improve my health and start me on this dental journey. Lastly I spoke with another tech who assisted me with my payments and set me up for future appointments. Excellent customer service.

Negative experience: I went to have my teeth clean, I end up in an emergency room. I almost died of over dose of injection. Careless dentist. All about the money. My insurance company contacted me about a bill, I told them, I never gone back after accent and he haven't performed any work on me. Beware

Negative experience: If i could give 0 stars I would. Extremely disappointed in this location. I had an appointment at 9:30 amd showed up at 9:15. I didnt get called in till 10:30. I know they were trying to verify my insurance but they could have called the day before. I have been to plenty of dentist office and they all start my exam while they verify my insurance complete waste of time. Dont fall for their marketing. They should respect patients time because i am sure if we were one hour late the appointment would be cancelled. Extremely disatisfied. So unprofessional.

I walked into their office and found it to be clean and welcoming and with the latest technology. The staff is friendly and professional. Everyone cares about the patient's comfort and works to ensure the entire process is as painless as possible. Dr. Cohen and his staff provide excellent care. Before any work was done, Dr. Cohen explained my options, the pros and cons of each, and worked with me with financing. I have referred several family members to Bella Dental and they have all had good experiences.

The office and equipment is modern, up to date and painless. I had a root canal without any pain, less than an hour to complete and no problems what so ever! Dr. Cohen was caring and conservative! Quickly diagnosed the problem offered me multiple options to resolve the issue and just like that I have an appointment the following day to fix my tooth .
