Negative experience: The hygienist finished my entire cleaning in less than 15 minutes, which is far shorter than any cleaning I’ve had at other dental offices. There was very little manual scaling, almost no attention to the gumline, and it felt like the appointment was rushed from start to finish. For a good portion of my cleaning, she kept talking to another staff on the computer (for 5min), which really worries me that she did not give me a thorough cleaning. The hygienist had to look away frequently during my procedure because she was helping that staff with some questions related to the computer program. In the end, besides that 5min, the hygienist spent only 10min cleaning my teeth with the ultrasonic equipment and VERY little hand scaling (metal pick). I have never had 10min-cleaning at ANY dentist. This is a serious concern because for 3 reasons: Subgingival tartar (under the gum) wasn’t removed properly. Tight or deep pockets were not cleaned. Finally, sticky calculus that the water tool can’t reach was left behind. This is a huge red flag, because any leftover plaque will cause inflammation and cause/worsen gingivitis. Ultrasonic water instrument is good, but it cannot replace hand scaling for every surface, and my hygienist barely used the hand scaling, unlike other hygienists I've had in the last 20 years. Other hygienists always spent at least 20min carefully cleaning tight and deep pockets and under the gum with the hand scaling (metal pick), besides 5-10min ultrasonic scaling. The hygeniest here didn't do that for me (if anything, she spent like 5min at the most, while other 10 minutes were spent on ultrasonic scaling). I left feeling very unsure and frustrated whether the plaque under my gums was properly removed. When I asked the hygeniest about the short duration, I was told that “everyone works differently, and I often finish earlier than others." But that explanation didn’t reassure me given the lack of thoroughness. This was my first visit to this office, and I feel scammed to be honest. I expected a standard level of care, but this cleaning did not meet that expectation. I hope the office takes this feedback seriously because thorough cleanings are important (especially for someone like me who had gingivitis in the past), and patients shouldn’t feel rushed or neglected. Now, I am looking for other dentist so that they will re-examine and give me a final verdict whether or not all the plaques were removed under the gum. I will provide the update on this review after that appointment.

Fantastic experience: When looking for a dentist most patients have a lot of questions. All my questions were answered right here in one place. The atmosphere and staff are calming and very friendly, especially for a high anxiety patient. Dr. Jacob Moore was extremely knowledgeable and was able to give me insight and options for what my dental health care needs to be. He was very patient and listened to all of my concerns for my options. I could tell I was in an office where they care about their patients and the best way to help you deal with dental anxiety. Looking forward to going back!

Fantastic experience: First time, patient, who happen to have a great experience with this dental office. My former dentist retired and we’ve been looking for someone new. Heard lots of good things about this place. I’ve decided to give them a try. Went in with a chip off of a porcelain crown, thinking they were going to charge me for a full crown replacement. However, much to my surprise, the dentist simply buffed off the sharp edges and said I would be good to go for a while and come back if I had any more problems. Office staff was super friendly and I believe we have found our new dentist.

My daughter was thrilled and excited be at the office with me. This was a great precursor to her having her own appointment in June. Thank you to Susan and Dr. Jake for including her! Dr. Moore was very good at making the anesthesia not horrible and it was the easiest, fastest extraction I've ever experienced. Pain after has been minimal to non-existent. Even the price was very reasonable! I live in Houston but my dentist may just be in Waco now!

Fantastic experience: I went in feeling fearful but when I left I felt like I was leaving a family sitting around in the kitchen enjoying the moments and doing what comes naturally. Y'all this office didn't have that feel of being in a dental office. I loved it that I didn't walk in and see a lot of medical tools. The doctor ask what we doing, the nurses right there team tagging and confirming with one another about what's going on. I can go on and on about their service . Babe if I tell you them young girls was gifted with a gift of giving comfort. One of them babygirl was holding my hand. Oh and the doctor and the girls having them side conversations about family fun and church. You talking about a team that the next move is automatically taking care of you. I'm so pleased with the service.

But my dental assistant was very calming. And made me feel at ease. So at ease I forgot her name. But her section is in the back right corner. And she has 2 beautiful children. I'm assuming she talked to Dr Moore. Because she came and asked if I would like some laughing gas. Which I happily agreed to. The rest is history. No tooth pain. Fantastic experience: Typically I’m a big chicken when it comes to my dental care, it’s one of my biggest fears. I made an appointment at Saddle Creek Dental because I had not had a cleaning since before we moved to Waco 3 years ago. I also had a loose molar that started bugging me and thought it needed fixing or pulled. Our daughter recommended Saddle Creek as she was one of their patients too. The initial appointment was to see the condition of my teeth and my loose molar. After examining my X-rays they decided to do both a cleaning and pull my loose tooth which was a goner because of receding gums. The appointment to do that was made for the following week. The day of the feared appointment had come, I got in the chair and the hygienist started talking to me and asked if I’d ever had laughing gas, I said yes and she said ok we’ll do that if you’d like and after 3-5 minutes I felt calm with no fear and she did a super job on my teeth with hardly a zinger. After the cleaning Dr Moore came and numbed my mouth for the extraction and even that was no big deal. I very much did appreciate all of their concern for my well being and the care they took of me. Now it’s the day after and I have not had any pain or discomfort and I can’t wait to eat something other than oatmeal or cream of wheat! Thank you from one big chicken!

Fantastic experience: This was our first time in at Saddle Creek Dental after a relocation to Waco! The dental assistant and hygienist were so friendly and comforting to my 6 year old. The hygienist explained every step to ensure my daughter had a great experience! We saw Dr. Jacob Moore who helped us out with a stubborn baby tooth! He was so gentle with her even though he needed to use some tools to assist! It was a great first experience and now we’re going to set up appointments for the whole family!
