She was super thoughtful and explained the details of what she was doing to ease my mind. We need more kind-hearted people like her in dentistry to create better experiences.

My kids say they really enjoyed Dr Hassan and Ms Kim— she deserves a raise and the dentist is very gentle. The staff there tell funny jokes too they say! Positive experience: I must share my experience with you guys the most important person that I saw was the x-ray technician I seen that anyone else was important, but he showed care understanding and compassion, which made me feel confident. I also want to recommend that I’ll keep your financial billing with the company forever she is all of spirit she made me feel right at home. Fantastic experience: I needed an emergency appointment due to breaking a tooth and being in unbearable pain. Not only did they get me in ASAP, they pulled the tooth, scraped the infection out and helped me feel 100% better. The dentist and the staff are amazing! Fantastic experience: I'm glad i didn't pass on this place because it's in Detroit, unfortunately i've had quite a few bad experiences within the Detroit area and actively outsource to the Livonia area. The staff here is great, always pleasent and on top of there job. I just had the front on my teeth composited by Dr. Joe Azzous and Hassan and I'm incredibly pleased with how it turned out, it looks great and natural. Good composite work is absolutely a form of artwork and I think Azzous nailed it.

Everyone was friendly, explained what they were going to do and also checked in with me throughout my cleaning. It gets even better, they also worked around my schedule with work and very accommodating!

Fantastic experience: After being disappointed by my previous Dentist's service, I decided to search for a new one. I'm so glad I found Grand River Dentistry. The staff is the greatest! The receptionist is very personable and even remembers you! The office manager is the same, on the day of my first appointment I was shown the office and we sat and discussed my concerns. My dental hygienist is the best! Very knowledgable, explained everything procedure that was being done. Doctor A.....I can't say enough about him! Very thorough and informative (did not received any of the info given from my previous Dentist). The procedure to insert a permanent bridge went so smoothly that I started to fall asleep.....that's how comfortable I was!! The warm blanket that was given was a plus as well. This is now my new Dental Home, I will never go to a "franchise Dentist" again!

Fantastic experience: Clean office. Staff seem professional and friendly …..BUT the Office manager will say you didn’t pay for services. She will cancel appointments day of stating Dentist is sick. She’s messy. Keep your receipts!! My insurance paid for a root canal in 2024, got infection twice, ER visits, new dentist said root canal done incorrectly. Tooth was extracted in 2025. Waiting for my refund. Notified insurance too.

I went to the office this morning and asked if they had any appointments. The office was slammed with appointments and Dr. Azzouz (son) was able to find time in his busy day and help me. Negative experience: The work is good but ultimately money hungry… will focus on big work like root canals and crowns but will leave your cavities to turn into root canals so they can get more money. Once they mill all the big work they don’t care for the small work, which turns into bigger work lol

Negative experience: I don’t usually make a review like this but my feelings are so hurt I’m a patient without insurance a young 23 year old girl with braces who found out I had cavities the doctors told me I had 6 cavities I knew it was a lie because my last visit he told me I had 5 but all of a sudden another one got added I paid him 1,500 for a crown I found out I never needed which didn’t cost anything close to 1,500 and I found out he tried to schedule me for a root canal and told me the best price he could do was 2,600 for a root canal and 2 cavities on my side this whole thing put me into depression because I deep down felt like he was lying I just felt like 3,500? And my braces were 5k? I later went to another doctor just recently in Westland come to find out I only had 2 cavities and they charge me 530 dollars to fill them in without insurance. It’s a shame this place is so desperate and dishonest that they actually missed out on an opportunity to have people in there the doctor is a middle eastern guy that scams the community of Detroit and the people in it to go back to his home in Bloomfield with his under cover boyfriend I would take my money else where and SHAME ON ALL OF YOU!!!!!! Thank god I didnt pay him that money and you will reap what you sow ❤️ - update that cute doctor review is fake the doctor looks like he dates men in a bad way not trying to be rude but nothing about him is cute or at all I actually find it quite low to even make such fake reviews about ones self Also there is has always been an inconvenience in calling in hour before appointment times to reschedule me and ever since trying to leave for now 3 weeks I’m having trouble getting all my information to release me from them they keep saying they will send me an email and that they would call me back I try to be as nice as possible because it’s honestly no reason to be any other way I just never seen anything like it super desperate and predatory I’m almost to the point of sending them a court letter letting them deal with it and get it that way . This is added on stress I don’t need in my life I would take the extra drive else where.

I also like that they have very family friendly shows on the TV in the lobby and I appreciate that!! I've been to about a half dozen dentist offices throughout my lifetime and most have given off the condescending and scrutinizing feel and you're just a number on their sheets. At GRFD, you get the complete opposite. Their staff is personable and friendly, and truly put your best interests and comfort first. They offer great referral bonuses, friendly appointment reminders, and are always promptly prepared & ready to take you back for your scheduled appointment times (given you consistently arrive on time for them;)). If you're looking for a long-time amazing dentist (I'd say Dr. Azzouz is more of an artist now that I could pretty much model for dental magazines thanks to his work), and a great dental hygienist, I strongly recommend Grand River Family Dentistry. 08/2024 EDIT: RUTH IS THE BEST DENTAL HYGIENIST I EVER HAD!:)
