Fantastic experience: Everyone was super friendly and seemed very honest in their assessment. They had suggestions for care and explained the positives and negatives of certain procedures for my teeth but didn't pressure me to make a decision right away.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to 9th East Dental for about 10 years. All of the dentists and hygienists are the best. I had a cleaning today and the hygienist was so gentle. Both the hygienist and dentist listened to my concerns and I left feeling great about my teeth. I have had retainers made by them, crowns and various fillings. I would highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I have always had a great experience here. They explain how your teeth are and show you the X-rays. Also, when I had a crown, they made sure I didn't feel anything as they drilled. They take good care of their patients.

He checked in often to make sure I wasn’t in pain, took my concerns seriously, and never made me feel embarrassed or less than. I felt genuinely cared for and respected. This was such a positive experience that it actually makes me look forward to future dental visits. I’m so grateful to have found this office.

Fantastic experience: This dental practice is amazing. Dr Huang is a dental wizard. He is compassionate with kids, knows how to run a great business and cares about his clients. Honestly, he doesn’t over charge and is transparent about costs, plans, options, etc. The staff is great and the office is very clean and fun (e.g. TVs with Netflix above every chair). If you are looking for a dentist, go here! If you aren’t looking for a dentist and think yours is better, go here and see that you’re wrong!

Fantastic experience: Madison was the PERFECT hygienist. She explained to me everything she was doing as she did it and made me feel so comfortable. I appreciate that Dr Huang is conservative in his diagnosing so I know I’m not getting anything unneeded done. It’s hard to find a dentist you trust and I am so happy I found Ninth East Dental!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to ninth east dental myself for about 8 years and they are amazing. Today we took our kids in and they were so amazing with them for a teeth cleaning. The hygienist Jessica was so fun with my two young kids. It was a really good experience. Also the dentist is always very nice and knowledgeable and answers any questions very kindly.

Fantastic experience: I needed the bond on my front tooth replaced. I was looking for a dentist in provo and found good reviews for ninth east dental.i tried them, they took me pretty quickly, the other places I called would book out for weeks. My tooth is very nice looking and no pain. Update: I had a crown put on, and a broken tooth pulled. Ninth East Dental did a nice job, were professional, and caring. I do have a hard time going to dentists because of childhood dental trauma, so I appreciate that.

Every single staff member I interacted with was incredibly welcoming and friendly. My hygienist was gentle, thorough, and looped me in on each step of the cleaning. The dental hygienist really spent time making sure I understood what I was looking at and about my teeth. The doctor too, very patient and wanted to make sure I had a chance to ask my questions. Dr. Preston was excellent and explained the procedure options with clarity and patience. He performed the procedure with expertise and I experienced little to no pain. Fantastic experience: Dr Preston is absolutely the best dentist I’ve ever had. He’s very knowledgeable and well spoken and most of all you know that he actually tries and cares about doing a good job. I can tell by how much time he spent making sure my fillings were done correctly and he even went in and out little grooves in my teeth to make it look and feel more realistic. And this isn’t the first time, he’s done this every time I’ve had a filling with him. Like honestly couldn’t give a higher recommendation

The office is really clean, and they work fast, but are detailed oriented. I also love that they explain what is going on with my teeth, and why they are choosing to do fillings, or other work!

They tell you up front the cost and won't be covered by insurance and give you the choice to have it done or not. So happy I found a dentist and office that cares.

Fantastic experience: They are very conscious of students not having a lot of money and they’ve helped me strategically time x-rays and fillings to help me get the most coverage from my insurance. They also are very careful to ask if I won’t them to do anything that wouldn’t be covered by insurance. I got a quote from gentle dental for some work, got a second opinion at ninth east dental, and it was literally half the price at ninth east dental. They do amazing work for an amazing price

Fantastic experience: I've been going here for 5 years. I had a lot of cavities at my first cleaning/checkup here, and a lot of dental anxiety from painful fillings as a kid. After the first appt to fill four cavities, my anxiety disappeared because the fillings were painless even though the cavities were so large, and it didn't even take that long. I've since had many cleanings and fillings here, and never had a bad experience. I've been treated by both Dr. Huangs, and have had great experiences with both. They are happy to answer questions, frank about what should get prompt treatment and what can wait (cavities that haven't gotten through to dentin, or aren't in my problem areas where cavities seem to get big fast, etc). When I had a tooth turn gray, I asked about it here, and based on x-rays and the tooth's history, they thought it needed a root canal and referred me to an endodontist. An unrelated dentist and the endodontist confirmed the suspicion, and the endodontist Ninth East Dental recommended did an excellent job.

Fantastic experience: It was my first time visiting Ninth East Dental, and it went well! Everything was efficient and quick. My hygienist was very gentle, and both she and Dr. Kahng were very nice. They wanted to make sure I understood everything going on with my teeth. One thing I noticed was they didn’t do any gum measurements, but maybe that’s not a standard for most places. Because they accept my insurance, I didn’t have to pay anything for this appointment. I was pleased with my appointment!

Fantastic experience: This is by far the best dentist I have ever been too. They listen, they care, and totally know what they are doing. I needed so much work on my teeth and I get dentist anxiety pretty badly. In all my visits I was never in pain and Dr A. Huang always made me feel at ease even when he had to pull some teeth. I highly recommend this Dentist to anyone. They really care about their patients.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing. I had a rough spot on my tooth and I thought it would be a cavity and a huge ordeal to fix. Turns out, it was a small chip. In under 5 minutes of the doctor looking at my tooth, it had been filed down it was smooth as if it were new. No pain and quick, effective service. Dentist answered all my questions. All the assistance and dental hygienists were also very helpful and friendly. Would recommend!

They do great work and never have tried to sell me something I haven't needed. My wife and I have both been very pleased with every aspect of this office.

We have always felt very comfortable with each dentist, hygienist, and receptionist. They are all friendly and very professional and the facilities are lovely and welcoming.

I was a little anxious about going, as I had had a pretty bad experience at a different dental office, the last time I had gone, but Dr. Huangand the rest of the staff at Ninth East Dental made me feel like I was in good hands. The procedure was quick and as painless as these things can be. I'm happy I found this office, and know that I'll be using them again in the future.

Fantastic experience: Coming to Ninth East Dental was such a good experience. Both my hygienist Maddie and Doctor Wong were really good at communicating what they were doing, even if I didn’t always understand. I would definitely come back!

Negative experience: My daughter went for a pre-mission dental visit. They used some beeping device to run all over her teeth and told her each beep was a weak spot and she needed to get a bunch of work done. She said it was like beep beep beep all over her mouth. She might have fallen for it if she didn't know better. She has never had a cavity in her adult teeth and always gets great feedback at her regular dentist. So she told them no. She was not going to get all the "weak spots" "fixed." They said they would not release her paperwork for the mission until she got the work done, at great expense. First she was horrified and quite upset because the mission paperwork asks if cavities are filled, not if there is a "perceived" weakness. They were just out on their own on that. We decided to completely ignore them, and that made her feel much better. We simply asked them to send her x-rays to her dentist here in Michigan. They used those to do original mission paperwork, for free of course, and we didn't give Ninth Street Dental another thought. But I think probably a lot of families think of using them because of the same reason we did: walking distance from Heritage. How did it go? She served faithfully in the Argentina Posadas mission in very remote areas. Her teeth were great. That was several years ago, and her teeth are still great. This was a few years ago. Maybe they are better now. But I wholeheartedly do not recommend them for pre-mission dental paperwork. Make of our story what you will.

Fantastic experience: Best dental experience you’ll ever have. Professional, personable staff set a welcoming tone and the dentistry ~ state of the art, precise and as pain free as possible. I got lucky when I needed dental work… I haven’t looked back since that first appointment. Give the office a call you’ll be glad you did.

Fantastic experience: I needed a last minute/emergency appointment and I got in within a week. This was my first visit here and everyone was very helpful and nice. The dentist was good at explaining what I needed to do. He was very reasonable and told me which treatments were necessary vs elective. Friendly and helpful overall!

Negative experience: Lovely staff, skilled and friendly dentists. Couldn't give you a single complaint for the work performed or the job they did. Don't believe their billing department for a second. Expect mysterious bills after claims that insurance will cover your work. What they say before a procedure doesn't matter, only the explicit words of your contract. Read every single one, or you are going for a ride.

Fantastic experience: Always a great experience. Even though it was the last appointment of the day, and Thanksgiving is coming up, I still felt like they took their time with my appointment and did a great job. Always more than happy to answer any questions I have as well.

Negative experience: Paid $180 to have them tell me I had peritoneal disease and it would be another $800 to do the cleaning. Also, I had three cavities so that was another ~$1000. 9th east said if I didn’t do the treatments my teeth would get worse. So I did some research and tried oil pulling. Then I did some more research and went to Mountain View Dental. I went in and the hygienist cleaned my teeth. After the cleaning the dentist said my teeth looked beautiful. I’m writing this review after my second cleaning (which was quick and easy) at mwd. My two cleanings with x-rays etc at mwd cost less than 9th east dental looking at my teeth and saying I needed to pay $1800 more. 2 stars instead of 1 or 0 because I was going to pay for the membership at 9th east before my cleaning, but they only charged me for the x-rays and consultation. Also, my wife said she had a good visit. Ymmv. From my experience either oil pulling works or 9th east is aggressive with treatment. Probably both.

Negative experience: I arrived on time for my appointment and the receptionist had made a mistake so that my appointment was not on record and I had to set a new one, very disruptive. The hygienist and dentist very nice but I could barely open my eyes while in the chair because their headlamps were attached to their heads and so continually flashed directly in my eyes as their head positions shifted. They also had water from the sprayer dripping out the side of my mouth and down my face and jaw, onto my clothes. (This has never happened to me at any previous dental office)

Fantastic experience: I had another pleasant experience at Ninth East Dental! I was running late because of a traffic issue and called to alert them and they were patient and understanding. The hygienist was kind and thorough. They had updated equipment as well. Dr. Huang was thorough and talked in depth about an issue I was having. He didn’t try to upsell anything, in fact, he did the opposite and gave me some options to consider. These dentists are honest and knowledgeable. I travel there all the way from Saratoga Springs because I trust them. Thank you, Ninth East Dental!

Fantastic experience: I have some major dentist anxiety, so I was really nervous to try a new place. This office is AMAZING!! They are so validating and affirming and kind! They made me feel comfortable and thoroughly explained everything they did and walked me through all my treatment options without pressuring me into anything I wasn’t comfortable with. Fantastic experience: Ninth East Dental has been my primary dental health provider now going on a decade - they are solid. The doctors are 'veterans' at 9th East, meaning - they are not 'learning', but rather well established in excellent habits, having mastered the science of dentistry way past being just 'adept'. I had a root canal 2 days ago and it was the most painless 'rc' I've ever had, and I've had numerous... Their staff is also very efficient and kind, ascertaining I do not have to spend much time on paperwork, a thing that some offices struggle with, exacerbating an already stressful day in one's life. 9th East Dental is excellent at what they do!

Fantastic experience: The cleaning and exam went perfectly as usual. Dr. Preston Huang has been treating me for years and has kept me on top of all issues that have arisen. Two thumbs up. Very good place to have dental work done.

Fantastic experience: Ninth East Dental is the first dentist I’ve been to that actually listen to my needs. They never do unnecessary procedures just for money and are very clear with procedures. I have spent too much time, pain, and money with 3+ other dentists in the area. All the dentists at this office have been amazing for the last 2 years. I highly recommend them to everyone!

Negative experience: I really liked this place until I actually needed work done on my teeth. I needed to get some cavities taken care of. Before going in, I didn't notice them but the x-rays showed them so I wanted to get them taken care of. After getting the work done, one of my teeth began to hurt when I ate anything hot or cold and was super painful to floss. I called and made another appointment to get it corrected. They said I "sprang" my tooth and the pain would go away in about 2 weeks. I waited yet the pain never went away. I called again and had them look at it and again.... was told to wait it out. After that time, I turned 26 and no longer had access to dental insurance. I hoped that overtime it would improve but it has been over a year and I still have to chew on one side of my mouth. They are great for cleaning but I wouldn't recommend to get work done here.

Fantastic experience: I have a permanent bottom retainer and the glue came off of one of my teeth. I called and they were able to fit me in for an emergency appointment. When I arrived, they got me in right away and the appointment couldn’t have taken longer than 10 minutes. And then they didn’t even charge me even though I’d gotten the retainer originally put in at a different place. It was very relieving to get it done quickly and to be back on my way!

Negative experience: I came here a couple years ago to get a new retainer because I had lost mine. I thought it felt tighter on the teeth than any other retainers I had in the past, and after months of wearing it, it was still extremely difficult to put on or get off, (unlike past retainers that were a little tight at first but were easier to work with after wearing them a bit). Since then, I've been to different dentists for checkups and each of them have commented on my receding gums. They've all suggested that I brush more lightly. I've never brushed "hard" like they were describing, but I took the first dentist's advice and have brushed very lightly since, so when the next one also recommended it I was confused -- do I just not brush at all? What's causing the damaged gums? I soon realized the culprit was the unusually tight retainer I got at 9th East Dental. It's so tight that every time I put it on, it pushes my gums back. They use a digital method of scanning your teeth for the retainer, which I believe doesn't account for the gum placement like a normal mold does. As a result, the retainer digs into the gums and causes them to recede quickly. It's had a very visible impact on my teeth, and I would recommend NOT going here for retainers.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend! (Even with with the two hour drive we have to take to get here.) We saw Dr. Peterson, and she was very kind and understanding to my teenager with really bad habits and the teeth to prove it. Made a great plan without ridiculing or lecturing my son. As you know teenager's don't respond with that type of talking, and Dr. Peterson really put us both at ease with just being awesome at treating him as a person first and bad teeth second. Finally after three different dentists, someone is kind and understanding about those who are nervous and feel judged about thier teeth.

Fantastic experience: I have always loved coming here! They're always so nice and sweet. I feel like they care. They also give me time, they talk me through things, answer any questions that I have. I have felt so comfortable and relaxed with them!
