Fantastic experience: I literally tell everyone to go here! I have been super impressed with this office and their team! They are easy to schedule with (they offer 7am and 8am appointments!!!!!) and I've had zero issues with their billing department. I came in to get some help with some tooth pain I was having and Dr. Vogel spend so much time trying to figure out what was going on and was great at answering my questions and showing me what was going on. I was having some more tooth problems and during my last cleaning visit he took time to talk about my next options. I've felt very heard in my concerns and very guided in what my options are, ultimately creating a great environment of trust!

Fantastic experience: No one wakes up in the morning and wants to go to the dentist. At least I don’t. But when you need one, Dr..Carlson and his team are great! From the front desk, to the hygienist and techs, you’ll be well cared for. They’re thorough, skilled and 99.9% pain-free. But, whatever you do, wear a sweater.

He takes time to explain procedures and options. I am very happy having him as my dentist. Additionally his dental assistants and his entire team is terrific. Office manager, Nan is outstanding.

Fantastic experience: I am grateful for the high-quality dental care provided by Dr. Vogel and the staff. What I appreciate most is that they are concerned about my long-term dental health. They carefully track changes over years and make recommendations and decisions based on this long-term view. For many years, I had cavities every time I went to the dentist, but now I’ve been cavity-free for 2.5 years. I also appreciate Dr. Vogel's personable and sincere approach. All staff members are professional and respectful.

Fantastic experience: I have been having periodic and puzzling pain in a couple of teeth in the upper left part of my mouth for the past while. I thought it was the result of clenching my teeth at night. Using their amazing X-ray technology during my last regular checkup, , Dr. Vogel was able to determine that it was the result of a sinus infection, which was not something I had considered. I am headed to see my ENT, thanks to Dr. Vogel's diagnosis. These are very caring and competent people.

Negative experience: Amazing staff and people are amazing I’ve never met people who care more but I’ve had my tooth chipped and they have fixed it 3 times by them in the last 6months. I went in yesterday and it broke again overnight

Fantastic experience: Dr Eric Vogel was my dentist as far back as I can remember and managed all of my dental care including braces and wisdom teeth. Every visit with him felt like sitting down with a lifelong friend. The world lost an amazing man when he was taken from us far too soon. After being seen for years by other dentists around the valley I had finally conceded that I'd never another Dr Vogel. I am glad that I was wrong! When my son suffered a major after-hours dental injury I was unable to find ANY dentist who would help- Dr Peter Vogel (Eric's son) saved the day. Immediately I could tell that Peter was as genuine and caring as his father always was to me. He has been just as caring and genuine in every appt we have had since that night over 18 months ago and I am glad to say that he is my dentist as well. I wish I could give 100 stars.

One think I really like about Peter is that he shows you an issue using a photo and then will discuss options from conservative to extreme. Then, he will often give you his opinion on what he would do if it were him. Many times that is not the extreme or expensive choices...so that helps me feel good about his overall goal, he cares for me not for the money he could make from me. “Peter the Great!”

Fantastic experience: We have been going to Merkley for a couple of years now and are so happy. We have been through several dentists offering discount plans who want you to get all sorts of work done to make them more money. Merkley always seems to err on the side of watch and wait and keep your permanent teeth doing the work as long as possible. All the staff have been wonderful to talk to and work with and I expect we will be using Merkley Dental as long as we live in the area and our insurance works with them.

My HR President Mel Made the process super easy to get in and out the first time, Especially since she is trying to help me go on a mission to Uruguay. Fantastic experience: Had a spur of the moment issue that needed attention with a crown over an implant. Nan got me in the next day and Dr. Vogel looked at it and gave me a couple options to solve the issue. I decided to have him sand a rim off the upper edge to smooth out a spot where a little gum recession took place. He fixed it so efficiently and painlessly and didn’t even charge me for the service. That’s just another reason why I’ve been going to Dr. Vogel and Merkley Dental for over 37 years now. They are simply the best!

Fantastic experience: Lydia did a great job on my cleaning. She was kind, gentle and thorough. She made me feel relaxed and she appeared unrushed. Thanks, again, Lydia! Dr Merkley always impresses me in noticing every little thing that might be a problem with my teeth. He takes time to realistically explain options that will help me make decisions to benefit me in the long run. If something is not a big deal for the moment, he is sure to put a “watch on it.” He also encourages me not just to do better with my brushing, but he tells me how and where to put more emphasis in my oral hygiene habits. I have learned to listen to his suggestions because, well, he is usually right! I just love the staff at Dr Merkley’s office! Fantastic experience: Read this before you continue your journey searching on Google for your next dentist nearby in Provo. I was referred to Merkley dental this year around February. By far this business is my favorite dentist I’ve ever been to. Here’s some top things I love about our dentist. 1.) Merkley offers their own form of insurance/ club memberships which includes dental cleanings, X-rays, fluoride, 6 month checkups and discounts on any work needed. - P.S. their membership is significantly cheaper than purchasing dental insurance from insurance companies I’ve saved hundreds of dollars. 2.) All of the staff at Merkley dental provides education and suggestions about any care needed. They never push or use scare tactics for any teeth work needed. 3.) All the staff is prompt, educated and well communicated. This team will make you feel at home and feel like you are with family. 4.) They actually care about your well being you are not just another customer. You will be provided with the best service possible.

Fantastic experience: I came to this dentist this morning and could not believe how wonderful Annelise, the hygienist, was at flossing! She was so gentle and good my gums didn’t hurt like they do when you have someone who’s just going quickly. I want her every time!!! This is a great dentist with kind staff and a great dentist!

Fantastic experience: Today was my first visit and I was extremely impressed. Everyone was so welcoming from the second I walked in. This was the first time I left the dentist feeling excited to go back. They explained exactly what everything was as they were doing it and kept saying“if these were my teeth this is what i’d do…” about my teeth. They didn’t press filling cavities but instead put them on a watch because you’re original teeth are your best teeth so it’s best to keep them as they are.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Peter Vogel has such a wonderful, calm, happy, kind, disposition. In addition, he puts thought and care into all his work. He’s gentle with his hands and polite as he is working on your mouth. He is conservative in his approach. I went to his dad when it was his dad’s office and so much of his dad’s nature and quality of care is in him. I have been coming to Dr. Vogel’s office for a good portion of my adult life because they always do a superior job, the whole staff included! I highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: If you’re looking for a new dentist, I highly recommend this place! I went in for my first time today and hadn’t been to a dentist in a couple of years. I had some really sensitive teeth and Evige took the time to be extra gentle on those areas and explained why I was experiencing pain there, and what I could do going forward to help those areas. Dr. Vogel was awesome! He made me feel good about what to do for my teeth and wasn’t trigger happy to do anything unnecessary like some dentists are. He was good at explaining things which I thought was very helpful. I also liked the person who did my x-rays and the receptionist. Literally every person I interacted with was great! Definitely the best experience I’ve ever had at a dentist office ☺️

Fantastic experience: My husband and I just switched to Merkley Dental because we needed a dentist in Provo, UT. My first visit was amazing. Their office is beautiful, with a great view outside from the patient chair. Their office staff is extremely helpful in setting appointments and working with our insurance. The dental Hygienist was very thorough and knowledgeable. She made sure to explain the entire process as we moved from one part of the visit to the other. Dr. Vogel took the time to address every single concern I had. I just went in to have a cavity filled and it was completely painless, short and sweet. This was probably the best dental experience I’ve ever had.

Fantastic experience: I had a painful TMJ problem come up in the past two weeks so I went in to see Dr. Vogel. He quickly diagnosed the problem and did some manipulation that got my joint back into place. Besides taking care of the issue, he is great at explaining the problem and also what he is doing. The crown and other treatments I received is nothing short of top notch! Everyone was professional and so friendly but not stiff and stuffy. The only thing missing from their practice these days is the terrible collection of dad jokes that Dr. Merkley used to tell. Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient of Mr. Merkley’s for some time, and am now a patient of Dr. Vogel (son of Dr. Vogel, who founded the practice). They are both kind and knowledgeable dentists. They really care about their patients, and take time to educate and answer questions. I’m immunocompromised, and their office is extremely accommodating in taking extra precautions. Today at my appointment, Dr. Vogel saw an area of concern on my x-ray. He went out of his way to make sure a pathologist reviewed the x-ray same day. Then Dr. Vogel personally called me, after business hours, to let me know the x-ray is nothing to be concerned about. Talk about top-notch patient care!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Merkley is a professional, caring and extremely knowledgeable dentist. I have had a lot of dental issues over the years and Dr. M has always made me feel comfortable about asking questions and has always explained everything in detail about the best treatment options. Also both receptionists are fantastic. Whether calling to make an appointment or requiring help with billing they are both courteous and professional. I have absolutely no problem recommending this dental practice. If I could give more stars I would!!!!!!

The office did go up this year considerably on their cleaning package price, however, and is a bit pricier compared to other dental offices….hence 4 stars instead of 5.

Fantastic experience: One of the best customer services I've found in Utah is actually here in this dentist office! They make our whole family feel like we're more than just patients, but also friends. They took the time to hand-sign a Christmas card, and no doubt the friendliness of each of them is amazing. They show genuine care of our health and give proper instructions and suggestions for our long-term health. So far we've only met Greg, Nan, Dr. Carlson, and a lady who worked till closing yesterday whom we can't remember the name, and I bet many more who are just as professional, experienced, and friendly as them in the office.

Fantastic experience: Last year I had a bad toothache on the Wednesday before Christmas. The office was going to close at Noon, but Dr. Carlson agreed to stay later to see me. The office called ahead to schedule a root canal with an Endodontist before the holidays but that was impossible. Dr. Carlson took care of me and did the root canal himself. Not only did he sacrifice his personal time, but he provided excellent service to me. I highly recommend him. Terry

Fantastic experience: Dr. Carlson and his assistant Melissa are the best! They always go above and beyond and provide such great service! You can tell they really care to do a fabulous job! I have been going to this practice since I was 5 years old. Originally, Dr Vogel was my dentist and I think he would be very proud to see how it’s going here if he were still alive. We all miss him. Fantastic experience: Very friendly and caring people. My dentist moved out of state and I was very nervous in finding a new dentist. They calmed my nerves and walked me through every single step of my process. They assured me that if there was anything I didn’t want to hear, or I didn’t want to know, they wouldn’t worry me about it, unless it was important. I look forward to taking care of my dental health with them.
