Just made another visit and people as great as ever. So friendly and so good. I wouldn't go anywhere else! They spent time listening to you and then answering your questions thoroughly!

Negative experience: Use any other dental office than Clarksville Smiles. This office has become very unethical with billing patients.

Fantastic experience: I saw Dr. Ribeiro this morning after being away for five years. He didn't beat me up for my lack of visits, just glad I was back. They did a complete set of x-rays and discovered I need a crown. Made the appointment for cleaning and crown work two weeks out. My opinion, this is the only place in Clarksville to get dental work.

Negative experience: I’ve been a patient at this dental office for many years, but my most recent visit was so upsetting that I won’t be returning. At my appointment, I was asked if an X-ray was okay to take that day. I politely declined for two reasons: first, my mother passed away from brain cancer, and I’m personally not comfortable with unnecessary radiation exposure. Second, I don’t have dental insurance and didn’t want to pay for an additional X-ray that I truly felt was not needed. Instead of respecting my decision, the dental hygienist left to get her manager. I then had to explain both reasons all over again. I was pressured with a speech about how “safe” X-rays are and how new guidelines don’t even require patients to wear a lead apron anymore. I understand that X-rays are common in dentistry, but patients still have the right to decline. When I continued to say no, they refused to provide any service at all. I was essentially turned away after being a loyal patient for years. I left the office feeling dismissed and disrespected. I do not recommend this dental practice if you expect your choices and concerns to be taken seriously.

Fantastic experience: Great Dental office! the staff are so compassionate, friendly, and caring. I love them. Even though I cannot get a "paying out of pocket discount".....lol. Man, Doctor Ribeiro, please consider a cash/self pay discount for loyalty plan customers who are Veterans. We would greatly appreciate it. That would help prevent those of us who do not pay a middle man Dental insurance company to take our money all year long unnecessarily. Then they decrease how much you can get paid for procedures. So, it's a win-win for both of us. SMILES is still the best dental service provider in Clarksville. I love their family feel and relational environment. God bless. Negative experience: TERRIBLE. I had an appointment but the morning of, I was running a fever and had the flu. I did the responsible thing and called and rescheduled. I went to my re-scheduled pre-paid appointment today and they are charging me a $75 cancellation fee! For the FLU! I guess they’d rather we come in and get everyone sick. The flu season is the worst it’s been in 30 years! I told Jessica they lost a patient today, she didn’t care…but hey, they got my $75, right?! Taking it right out of my pre-payment. Do not recommend.

Fantastic experience: Excellent service and an extremely clean office. I am so glad I switched to this dental practice. The staff is incredibly helpful and made me feel comfortable from start to finish. Everyone was genuinely kind and welcoming. Dr. Pepper is amazing!!

Fantastic experience: My experience at the office was the best visits I’ve ever made The atmosphere was just perfect and for the 1st time in my life, I was able to get through the appointment without experiencing any more pain than my bad teeth were already. I didn’t even feel the shots to num my mouth at all. Definitely a 1st for me and I’m 60 years old. The only problem I’m having is that I started hurting with pain levels I’ve never felt before. The procedure I had was only pulling the culprits that were causing the pain which I’m positive happened but the problem now is the fact that I think they are closed for the weekend and this tooth that’s in same proximate of the 2 pulled Wednesday. The problem is that this tooth must have been causing 80% of the pain but all three needed to come out but when hurting that bad, it’s hard to pinpoint exactly where most pain is radiating from. I dont know what I’m going to do to make it through weekend because this pain is almost going to make me visit an Emergency Room. The pain is more than I can stand and worse I’ve ever had in my life!! I can’t say enough about the friendliness of the whole staff, the virtual painless shots in the kisser, and the fact that my pain was so great that the lady helping the doc work on me placed her hand on my shoulder as to offer some kind of reassurance that it wasn’t going to be bad and that meant the world to me since we very rarely see that kindness anymore by very many people at all which is so very sad! Anyway, I highly recommend you give them a try if you are in need of a dentist. They are very professional and kind at what they do in a world that those two things are very rarely seen anymore!! Dr. Pepper was friendly, thorough, and gave me good compliments and suggestions on my oral care. I'm in my 60's and I am happy to hear that I don't have any serious problems at this time, the things I need to improve on is minor to keep great oral care. I've been going here for over 10 years.

Fantastic experience: I broke a tooth late Saturday night. I called later on Monday, and I was able to get in the next day. I was set up to have a temporary cap to be done today, Wednesday. I was apprehensive, but everything went great during the procedure. Dr. Pepper and Athena made me feel comfortable. I even enjoyed their occasional humming and soft singing during some of the music being played; it actually put me even more at ease. Everyone there is so friendly. I am scheduled to have a permanent cap made in house and I am not apprehensive about it at all; I know that it will go as well.

Negative experience: I paid for fillings for my teeth; I went back because they didn't fill in one of my teeth. The dentist said it was because I didn't open my mouth wide enough, yet I am not a dentist, the dentist is supposed to tell you what they need to complete the work efficiently. He went over the wrong tooth with a drill, basically refusing to fix it. Fast forward two years later after having two babies, the same spot and other spots, that "they filled" are aching. A waste of time and money and lack of integrity.

Negative experience: This office lied about what insurance they take and then says that "its the patients responsibility," not theirs, to know if the doctor is in network or not despite inaccuratly stating that they are. This office is fraudulent and should be avoided.

Fantastic experience: Clarksville smiles was amazing. I had not been to the dentist in a very long time and was nervous about the whole experience. The staff there is so welcoming and the hygienist was very patient and explained everything she was doing while doing it which I hadn't even asked her to do, but did it anyway which was so great. I saw the doctor to go over my x rays and to do the exam and she was so friendly and informative. It was an overall very pleasant experience and I'm only sorry that I put off going for so long. I had truly the best experience and I highly recommend them.

Negative experience: Worst customer service I’ve ever had. I scheduled an appointment for regular cleaning in advance. 1 day prior I received the call from the office, lady informed me that I’ll have to pay for X-rays out of pocket, even though my insurance is supposed to cover it. When I said that at this case I won’t need the service. Front desk lady became rude, and transferred me over financial support - lady, who tried to scare me with collection if I won’t pay. Like WHAT? It happened 1 day before scheduled visit, and they already talked with me like I owed them something! I canceled my appointment, and strongly recommend everyone to avoid these people.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience with Alia. I was so comfortable, and I am normally a bit nervous at the dentist. She helped me advocate for myself and let Dr. Pepper know about some concerns I was having. Dr. Pepper was on it right away. They were so helpful.

Fantastic experience: I had developed a nasty case of dental anxiety. I am embarrassed to say it kept me from dental care for years. Thankfully, I have extremely good dental care but ended up breaking a tooth. After living with it for almost a year I finally broke down and made an appointment. They were so kind and accommodating. I was given the option of anxiety meds until I felt comfortable. I’m happy to report my tooth was fixed and I’m now on regular dental check ups and cleanings. No one anxiety.

Fantastic experience: I had such an amazing experience at this dentist office! I’m normally terrified of dentist offices and I had an emergency so I HAD to go in. I have never been there or heard of them before I just walked in and immediately they treated me like family. They were all booked up for the day but saw I was in pain and fit me in anyways. I am so grateful! They extracted my tooth quick and easy, the longest part was waiting for my face to numb. 10/10 truly isn’t even high enough of a rate. 20/10 is more like it. Fantastic experience: I’ve had a fear of the dentist for the past maybe ten years but let me tell you, this place will do everything and go above and beyond to help your nerves. They don’t rush your questions and don’t make you feel dumb when you ask a stupid question- because yes there really are stupid questions that we ask out of anxiety or fear or whatever. I’ve been a patient there for I think 5-6 years or so and I’ve never been let down once. Oh! And Hannah and Shelby are fantastic. Fantastic experience: I've had pretty awful experiences in my life going to dentists. This is why I looked around and finally settled on Dr. Ribeiro. I had a full smile makeover done. All of my own teeth removed and replaced with implant supported dentures right here in this local office. I am very happy with the result. It took a long time to finally finish but this was partly due to ensuring great results. In the middle of the process I had an implant fail, and Dr. Ribeiro got me back into the office and got another one in place at no additional cost. The team of very helpful and friendly ladies in the front were always just that -ready to help. overall I had a great experience and I am so very glad I decided to choose Clarksville Smiles as my dentist office. Thanks again for all the dedication and work regarding my case, I feel like a completely new person now that I can smile with no hesitation!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Clarksville Smiles for a decade now and I have always had good experiences even with tricky, uncomfortable dental work. Dr Richard is great! The front desk staff is amazing! The hygienists are fantastic and do a thorough job! I had my teeth cleaned there today by Natasha and she did an amazing job - she checked in appropriately to see if I was comfortable, checking to make sure that she was able to get my teeth as clean as possible with as minimal discomfort as possible, which I really really appreciate! Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: My first visit : dental anxiety and everyone was so kind and helped me the whole time to stay as calm as possible and listened…truly listened : Dr Pepper is working on a treatment plan that will help me address my complex issues in my mouth. Am I still anxious yes but I feel safe in their care which will allow me to address my dental health as well as my anxiety.

Positive experience: I just left a little while ago and I’d like to share my experience. Let’s start with the things I think were really excellent. They have wonderful customer care, they watched my two small kids while I was in the back having my exam. The office is very clean and they don’t have any creepy teeth pictures. The team was incredibly friendly and the woman who did my exam made great conversation and listened to my concerns carefully. The dentist was kind and thoughtful, he was direct and had a plan in mind that would follow his oath and morals- I can really respect him. The reason I am giving a three star review is because I specifically contacted them about getting bonding on my front teeth to even out my smile and make some of my teeth longer/have a better shape. I was very specific that I wanted bonding because it is temporary and can be removed. I didn’t want to alter my own teeth at all. I also told them I had moved out of DV shelter and had a limited budget. Prior to coming to my appointment they had me pay a small deposit for the exam, I had just had some imagining done and they attempted to retrieve it, but said it wasn’t good enough quality. So I drove to nashville and got the imaging burned on a CD for them. They called me six times, each time trying to have me pay for more services prior to receiving them. When I got there, they continued to try to get me to get more X-rays, have a cleaning and talk about fillings I might need if they find cavities. Again- I was there to discuss dental cosmetic bonding on the bottom of my front teeth- not for fillings, cavities, or cleaning. The dentist came in and immediately told me he doesn’t do “temporary” work like bonding because it will only last 3-5 years and could chip and need to be repaired. Then when I was leaving I paid the rest of the money for the exam (which I didn’t ask for, didn’t need and didn’t want), again, I asked specifically for an estimate on cosmetic dental bonding. Then I scheduled an appointment for a cleaning five months out, they actually asked me to pay for not only the exam today but also the appointment in FIVE MONTHS. The bottom line is that on the first phone call I could’ve been told that the dentist wouldn’t preform the bonding I wanted because it was temporary, it was a waste of everyone’s time and a waste of my money. I think that is an extremely dishonest business practice. Beyond that, I have never been asked to prepay for services I didn’t ask for, want, or need. Nor have I ever been asked to prepay for an appointment 5 months ahead of time. Either they are desperate for money or they think I won’t pay, which is disrespectful. I ended up calling and cancelling the appointment for the cleaning because I think that while the dentist may be a great dentist, not respecting your patient’s time and money is inappropriate and a bad business practice as is trying to push services and ask for prepayment for excessive amounts of money. If clients aren’t paying bills, get a credit card on file.

Fantastic experience: I wish I found Dr. Ribeiro years ago! My dental anxiety is awful and they’ve been so patient with me and provided the best care. They are very professional and take great care of me every time I’m in there. Had I found them years ago my teeth would be much healthier now. They are out of network for my plan but I still see them regardless. Highly recommend.

I went in after breaking a tooth that had been needing a crown for at least 10 years. Not only were they able to salvage the tooth to place the crown, they got me in and out in less than 3 hours as a new patient that also needed financing options. Satisfied is an understatement.
