Negative experience: Everyone is very sweet and professional at this practice. I felt comfortable there. The issue is - they will push for procedures and treatments that are either not covered by your insurance or are not necessary, but preventative. The way they bill you is you pay the full amount up-front, and then your insurance reimburses you a month later. I was astounded to have to pay 300 dollars for a cleaning. I was not informed that this was how they handled business before my appointment. There was an initial patient visit (230 dollars) and they then scheduled a regular cleaning (300 dollars). That being said, they are thorough and professional, so if time and money is not an issue for you - this is a good dentist.

Fantastic experience: The VA referred me to Dr. Stock to be evaluated for treatment of sleep apnea with an oral appliance (mouthpiece) to be worn overnight. She did an outstanding job with excellent results. She explained how the appliance would work to prevent airway blockage and oxygen desaturation caused by apnea throughout the night, imaged the inside of my mouth in high detail, and ordered a device custom designed and cast to fit securely and comfortably over my teeth. I’ve been using it nightly for three weeks. It’s been a total game changer. I am now getting seven to eight hours of sound, restful sleep compared to the three to six hours of restless sleep I’ve averaged over the past year or so. It will take continuing use every night to alleviate residual fatigue, restore daytime energy levels, and sustain improvement but well worth it. I’m certain it is restoring quality to my life now and will add years of quality life as I get older. Many thanks to Dr. Stock, her team, and the VA for referring me for treatment.

What I liked about the clinic the most as a new patient is, my questions and concerns are all answered. Fantastic experience: While being fitted for a night guard to prevent teeth grinding at night, Dr. Stock suspected I had sleep apnea based on the architecture of my mouth. After an at-home sleep test, the dx was confirmed and I was fitted for a mouth device to wear for sleep that extends my lower jaw slightly to keep my airways clear. Almost immediately, I experienced far better sleep and better quality of life which was confirmed by another at-home sleep test. The device was easy to adjust to. Smile Brookline is on the cutting edge of sleep apnea diagnosis and treatment and I recommend the practice for anyone with poor quality sleep!
Our sleep dentistry is helping our patients’ breath and sleep better by treating mild-to-moderate sleep apnea, snoring, and sleep-disordered breathing using oral appliance therapy (OAT) in both adults and children. Fantastic experience: They got me in before my appointment time because I had showed up early. The office has a nice layout for the cozy amount of space and the cleanliness was spectacular! They went in to detail about my scan and the space from one side of my jaw to the other. We then did the scan for the oral appliance which was cool to see the 3d model of mouth. Dr. Stock explained everything, made sure I was comfortable, and was a pleasure to have as my dentist. Thomas at the front desk was great and friendly on checking in and checking out. He was keeping track of time for me incase I needed to add to the meter across the street. Overall a very pleasant experience and I’ll be back in a couple weeks.

Fantastic experience: I’m so glad I found Smile Brookline! The hardest part of having sleep apnea was not knowing what was wrong. I spent two years chasing down answers for why I was so tired all the time before finally getting diagnosed (sleep study waitlists are no joke!), and even then my other sleep doctors could not tell me where my sleep apnea was coming from. This made it much harder to find the right treatment option for me. Within minutes of sitting in Dr. Stock’s chair, she could tell I had sleep apnea. She not only identified physical signs (scalloped tongue, tongue ties, etc.) but also took the time to explain the root cause: an underdeveloped jaw. It’s amazing to finally know what is going on with my body. Highly recommend booking a consultation, even just to learn more! When it came to getting the device, Thomas worked so hard behind the scenes with insurance. Basically I had a deadline to use my benefits, and he was very persistent with them in ensuring everything was processed on time. He made insurance reimbursement such a smooth process for me, even though I know it took extra effort on his end. It took my body a few weeks to adjust to the device (normal) but Dr. Stock was so attentive, offering plenty of solutions. All good now! Really appreciate her commitment to helping me make the most of the device. Huge thanks to the team at Smile Brookline for all of your help!

If you have a sense of humor they will match you quip for quip and you will walk out on to Boylston Street with a big smile on your face. Another painless and enjoyable visit. It's time to recognize the front desk staff person by name, Stephanie, who flew through the billing and scheduling tasks in no time, all the while engaging in informative and pleasant banter (choose any topic and she's ready!). Tracey was again in top form with cleaning and polishing ('Like glass' is her term for the result sought). Dr. Yi is 'Olympic Class' when comes to assessing and treating gum and dental issues.

Fantastic experience: I went to Smile Brookline to find an alternative from the CPAP for my sleep apnea. Dr. Stock, Thomas, and the entire staff have been a dream to work with. Fantastic experience: Clean, caring dental office in Brookline. We've been patients here for a few years and have always had a positive experience. Their appointments start on time. They are always kind and patient with our questions about dental health. I find their approach to treatment to be really plactical and pragmatic. Dr. Stevo outlines everything that needs to be done, what's critical, what can wait. Then she talks me through each step, including any curve balls that come our way. The dentist took the time to explain the results of my scan-shape of my mouth and other factors impacting my night-time breathing.
