Negative experience: I initially came to this dental office for a routine cleaning. During the exam, the dentist recommended filling five cavities. I scheduled an appointment to fill the first two cavities on the left side. Before the procedure, those teeth were completely pain-free. However, after the fillings, I developed constant sensitivity and pain. Drinking cold or hot beverages, eating, and even brushing my teeth became uncomfortable. About a month later, I returned for a follow-up instead of having the remaining three fillings completed because the first two teeth were still hurting. After an examination and X-rays, I was told that the fillings were very close to the nerve and that I would likely need root canal treatment to eliminate the pain. While I understand that deep cavities can sometimes lead to this outcome, it’s very difficult for me to accept because these teeth had never caused me any pain before the fillings. Since then, the sensitivity has continued to worsen. The pain now affects my daily life and my work, and even Advil provides little relief. As a former employee of a dental company, I have some basic knowledge of dentistry. This experience has left me questioning whether the treatment was performed as conservatively as it could have been. I sincerely hope that wasn’t the case, but it’s hard not to wonder when a routine filling is followed by a recommendation for root canals. Because of this experience, I decided not to have the remaining three cavities treated at this office. I no longer feel confident moving forward with additional dental work here. I can only share my personal experience, but unfortunately, it has been extremely disappointing. I hope this review helps others make an informed decision.

Positive experience: The office staff is super nice and helpful as well as the dental hygienist. My whole family now goes to this dentist. The only thing I didn't like was I felt like the dentist was recommending a treatment before I really needed it. But... I'm not a dentist and could be wrong!

Negative experience: ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE DECEPTIVE PRACTICES. Had a tooth replaced, they decided after 45 days they would call the procedure an emergency and "forgot" to check with my insurance. They hand me a bill for $2500 and only because I have insurance do they then reduce the bill to $1500 because my insurance wouldn't allow them to bill me the $2500. And I quote, "it's your responsibility to know your insurance and what they cover and not". Well Rita, it's my responsibility to trust that you're not going to try and rip me off, but nope Rita, that wouldn't be the human thing to do. What an absolute rip off and Rita was a pure pleasure to work with. Let me tell ya. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Fantastic experience: I went in for my regular office visit I can’t believe how consistent these people are with their service! As soon as I walk in they already knew me by name. The hygienist Holly introduced herself and she made me feel very comfortable and at ease. She gave me maintenance advice and didn’t try to upsell me on anything or scare me half to death. The doctor came in and did my exam to make sure I didnt have any major issues. I love this office. No cancellations or scheduling issues. It’s clean… Did I forget to mention it’s clean!

Fantastic experience: I had such a wonderful experience with Dr. Haycock and his hygienist Natasha! They were both so kind and caring, and I felt completely at ease the entire time. Natasha did a fantastic job and was so gentle, and Dr. Haycock explained everything clearly and made me feel very comfortable. Even the front desk staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming! Fantastic experience: For anyone who is uncomfortable about going to the dentist, this place has been the best I have ever experienced. Great customer service, Rita at the front is awesome, Dr. Haycock has a gentle touch and McKenzie manages the office well and also has a great touch. I came in thinking there was no hope for my smile but Dr. Haycock is making it possible!!! We all know dental work isn't cheap and insurance doesn’t cover much but they have a great payment plan system that will you bring your smile back one payment at a time. Thank you Dr. Haycock and your wonderful team for making my experience comfortable and worthwhile. (They also have great movie selections :) )

Negative experience: Beware if you have Guardian Dental Insurance. I really liked this dental office until my insurance changed. Don't go here if you have Guardian Dental Insurance. Just six months ago with BCBS insurance, they were content with $1,100 or so for a crown. Now that I have Guardian, they charge around $1,400. I pay half of the tab with either insurance company. When I asked why it changed, they told me that my insurance had negotiated that amount with them. Who's the client, me or my insurance company? WTH..(what the heck). So, now I pay more because my insurance company is stupid enough to negotiate a higher cost than my other insurance company. It's very clear that we (you) are not their client. The insurance companies are. It's not about the money. I can pay the money. I just don't think it's fair.

Fantastic experience: I was having pain in my upper left jaw and just thought it was a tooth causing me pain. Auburn Hill Family Dentistry got me in the same day. I was very impressed by Dr. Hancock’s thoroughness in evaluating my teeth. No cavities, no broken teeth… he suggested I start on an antibiotic. Today is my full 2nd day of antibiotics and the pain is already almost 100% gone! staff Dr. Hancock & his staff are awesome and I highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: Since it’s been three years since my last review I thought I’d give an update. Throughout the past few years I’ve been back many times whether it’s for my regular checkup and cleaning, to fill a cavity, fix chipped teeth, get crowns or some other cosmetic service. Each visit is an actual pleasure, something so strange to say about a dentist appointment. Dr. Haycock and his team is just above the average. He’s so sincere and dedicated to making the experience pleasant. His goal as far as I’m concerned is always to make sure you’re pleased with the care and service and to leave very happy with your smile. Dr. H and Mac are indeed a dynamic duo. I just love them. They are so genuine and compassionate about my dental needs. Five stars all around, from front desk to hygienist to Dr. Haycock and both Makenzies. I will always return here. They’ve proven themselves time and time again. (Previous review) Wow! This place is great! Everyone here is so kind. Marisa at the front desk is very friendly with a welcoming smile. My hygienist Tiffany is really nice too. Even the tv on the ceiling was a nice touch and helped the time go by quickly while getting my teeth cleaned. Dr. Haycock is the best. Very professional and easygoing. The work he did on my chipped front tooth is remarkable. My tooth looks better than before it got damaged. I am very satisfied. McKenzie, who was assisting him is great too. Keeping all that water out of my throat lol. An overall wonderful experience. I will be returning here for all my dental care and treatment.

Negative experience: I’m not sure why it’s so hard to find a good dentist in Lawrenceville, but we haven’t had a lot of luck just trusting Google reviews. So I’m leaving this review to hopefully help someone else. I’m always a bit leery of dentists who immediately say you need fillings on your first visit (which this dentist did for both my husband and me). But my husband really liked the dentist and went ahead and got his filling. So I bit the bullet and went ahead with one of the fillings he wanted to do for me as well. Big regret! He drilled for what seemed like forever. And, at one point, I tasted blood and believe he actually hit the pulp or root of my tooth. Then when the filling was done, the bite was completely wrong. He filed some off so it felt a little better, but it still doesn’t feel quite right. And the filling hurt for a lot longer than a filling normally does. Still, I hadn’t decided if I was going to post a review because the dentist and hygienist were really nice. But today my husband told me that part of the filling they did on him came off when he was flossing. So that decided it for me. Hope this helps someone else.

Fantastic experience: Let’s be honest, going to the dentist isn’t the most thrilling experience, so when looking for a new place to receive care it was super important to land somewhere that made me and my family feel comfortable. We most definitely found that at Auburn Hills. From the fresh aesthetic of the office to the kindness a knowledge of the Dr. and staff, my first visit there was one that left a huge positive impression on me.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely loved my experience with them! I had to find a new dentist due to a change in insurance and they fit me in the next day! From the initial phone call with the lovely receptionist, Sommer, they were so helpful with getting me seen the next day! I had a very enjoyable experience with Natasha as my hygienist, who was so thorough and helpful! Dr. Hasenkopf was an incredible dentist and really cares a lot about his patients! He made me feel super comfortable the whole time I was there and explained everything that they were doing with extreme detail that helped me feel at ease! I’m actually excited to go back to the dentist now, contrary to how I was at previous dentists.

Fantastic experience: So glad I found Dr Haycock and his staff! On my first visit, their concern was my comfort, asking if I was in any pain. I have dental phobia and need a lot of work. Dr Haycock and his staff are professional, friendly, and caring. Summer at the front desk is a real gem! Always with a smile, she's great about answering my questions and helping me keep my treatment plan straight. Emily is always very helpful and Brittany does a great cleaning.

Fantastic experience: I have had good experiences with dentists in the past, but this place blew them all out of the water. The building seems brand new, with t.v.s on the ceiling during your cleanings. The hygienist was so polite and inquisitive to make sure I had the best possible experience and asked about any reservations I had. They do such a thorough job with the x-rays, they even take pictures to let you see parts of your teeth that correlate with the x-rays, and they do not berate you for problem areas. They give such thorough explanations that do not leave you in the dark. Dr. Haycock took his time in explaining everything and did not rush out. TBH I was nervous to go back after not having a cleaning since before 2020 but they made it such an enjoyable experience. Highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience: This place was amazing! I hadn't seen a dentist in over 2 years because I had braces, which led to severe plaque buildup on my teeth leading to a calculus bridge built up underneath my permanent retainer. The dental hygienist was so thorough yet so gentle in making sure my teeth were cleaned. And, she taught me how to properly floss with my permanent retainer so I won't be probed to the buildup again. This was truly the best dental experience I had ever!

Fantastic experience: Unfortunately, I've had my share of bad experiences with dentists and cosmetic dentists. So, I asked Dr. Haycock several questions...and I mean "several" questions. Dr. Haycock answered every question with kindness, sensitivity, and with a seasoned knowledge. He even ordered additional xrays in order to offer highest quality of care possible. He cares about his patients and before the visit was over I felt my shoulders relax as the trust continued to build between patient and doctor. Fantastic experience: Today was my first time at this office and let's just say I will be back. My dental hygienist was Nicol more like a dental hygienist fairy lol. She is amazing, she took her time, very knowledgeable, she definitely knows her stuff. I just didn't experience this at my last dentist office. The dentist came in and got straight to the point he wasn't looking to find a thousand different things he could charge for me for. Let's not forget about the front desk staff very professional and nice. If you're looking for a dentist office that is informative and actual cares about your dental health this is definitely the place to go. I will definitely be back.

Fantastic experience: I had recently chipped my front tooth. They made time for me to get it fixed on the same day I walked in. Everyone was extremely kind, I recommend this dental office.

Fantastic experience: I am so happy to have come here. I saw another dentist who said I needed close to $6k in work done, which really surprised me since my teeth and gums are perfectly healthy. I came to see Dr. Haycock since I just didn't feel comfortable without a second opinion and thankfully, I just needed a small filling and that's was it. They have been great working with my insurance and I paid $16 after expecting to have to spend much more. The doctor was very thorough and kind and I will definitely keep coming back!

In my search to find a new dentist, I scheduled an appointment with a local dentist franchise and walked out due to a lack of professionalism and poor communication. I began my search again and came across Auburn Hills Family Dentistry on my insurance company's website. I saw that they had good reviews and decided to schedule an appointment. I must say that I was very pleased and impressed with the level of professionalism, care, and compassion that all of the staff displayed during my visit. I am especially thankful for my hygienist, Nicole, who took exceptional care of me, made some great recommendations for my oral care, and is extremely passionate about her job and caring for her patients.

Fantastic experience: I have severe anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist, let me just say that this was the absolute best experience I have ever had from the moment I booked the appointment to the moment I left I felt comfortable and at ease. The office staff were friendly, patient, and extremely helpful and knowledgeable they explained my visit and my treatment plan with confidence and patience. The hygienist was absolutely wonderful she was funny and gentle and made sure I was comfortable the whole time, and explained what she was doing and why... x-rays were fast and efficient and overall easy. Dr. Haycock was fabulous! Super kind and friendly, again funny and put me at ease... he was able to pull my wisdom tooth that I had been in so much pain with. He was again fast and efficient and I had no pain during. He was simply great. I highly recommend this office for dental care... the whole staff really care about their patients and the needs. Everyone is knowledgeable and kind just good hearted place. As long as I go here I do not forsee that anxiety rearing it's ugly head. A big thank you to this team!!!

I called due to a dental emergency when my old dental practice could not get me in for a few weeks! They were able to see me quickly and take care of my issue completely. The people were great. I believe I found a new dentist. My dad as well. We've been looking for a while.

Fantastic experience: The best dentistry I have ever been I am a smoker and have ongoing issues with my teeth. Constantly needing visit dentists in order to have my teeth maintained. So, I have been trying to find a good doctor for a long time, last ten years to be precise. Every place I have been to wasn't a good experience until I found this place. Actually, my daughter recommended me this dentistry. She loves their's customer service especially. Dr. Haycock himself is an amazing caring individual. His team, everyone who works there is incredible. They are willing to go above and beyond to make sure that you are totaly satisfied. Have no words to describe the atmosphere these people create. Fantastic experience: This was my first time going to this dentist office. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Nicole was the hygienist and she was awesome, gentle, and thorough. Dr Haycock was very kind and thorough as well. They have a TV in front of you and also on the ceiling so you can continue watching while your teeth are being cleaned!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Haycock and Staff are wonderful. Starting with Marisa who handles the front desk and insurance. She worked diligently with my insurance to get the information I needed for my treatment. Next, the hygienists, Nicol and Brittaney, are gentle and really care about my oral health. Then the wonderful assistants, Mack and Kenzie, are so sweet. Dr. Haycock, with the help of Kenzie, gave me the most beautiful smile. They were invested in my smile and ensured that I was 100% pleased with the end result. I am so happy I have found my forever dental office. I look forward to my future visits.
