Fantastic experience: Super gentle and really friendly - important when stressed out about possible pain and tooth emergency! They worked with my insurance so I had no copay (it will depend on your insurance). But they also have options if you don't have insurance! I highly recommend

Negative experience: You honestly don’t want to know what I think of this place But I will tell you that Yes the staff is friendly and Dr. Carter is patient but I would not recommend Sugarhill Dentistry for dentures so far I’ve had nothing but a nightmare my bottom ones don’t fit correctly and they always pop out and that Carter just says put denture cream in it. No, that’s not the way it should be and even when I do, they don’t stay in my uppers are very very loose. I made a big mistake coming here for dentures and do not recommend them to anyone

Fantastic experience: I had a smooth and easy experience on my first visit with Dr James Carter and all the staff were very accommodating. So thankful that they have an availability on the same day as I’ve been in so much pain and my dentist couldn’t get me in until the next day. I was needing to have my tooth removed and Dr Carter referred me to a specialist who is also available that day! So that was a blessed day for me! Thanks to everyone!

One of the things I appreciate most is how conservative he is with treatments—he only recommends what you actually need, so you know you can trust him completely. April, the hygienist, was also amazing for my first visit with her. She was super gentle, very knowledgeable, and answered all of my dental questions. The entire appointment was pleasant and the cleaning was absolutely incredible. Jennifer at front desk is very friendly, sweet and helpful , always taking the time to explain the treatment plan in detail, and the insurance coverage , answering all possible questions. Everybody in this office is amazing!

Fantastic experience: Staff is great, customer service is and has been exceptional. My entire family has seen dr Carter now after we all had been with our prior dentist up to 40 yrs. I have always been absolutely terrified of the dentist due to a lifetime of negative experiences, making me incredibly reluctant to try anywhere new. But April completely changed the game. She is an absolute rockstar, so patient, incredibly informative, and she completely put my anxiety to rest. I have finally found my forever home for dental work. If you're nervous about dental visits, look no further. I will be recommending them to everyone I know!

Jessica and Daisy, the hygienists, along with Jennifer at the front office, are the team members I interact with most often, and they are all amazing. I’ve also seen Dr. Jurgutis, who was equally great. Everyone has an excellent bedside manner. One thing I especially appreciate is how they explain what’s happening next during the appointment. Since procedures involve local anesthesia while you’re still awake, that communication makes a difference and helps ease any anxiety. The entire team is friendly, knowledgeable, personable, and professional. Most importantly, they gave me confidence and peace of mind throughout my visit.

Fantastic experience: I have never been disappointed in the service provided at this office. Everyone there takes time to walk you through everything they are about to do. I can get a little panicky in the chair (never told the Dr Carter this). He is not just focused on getting through the appointment, he reads the room and cares enough to give me little breaks to ensure I am comfortable throughout. Even though they are not considered “in network” for my insurance…I am 100% willing to pay more out of pocket because they are THAT GOOD!! For the 7 years my daughter lived out of state, she would make sure that she scheduled her appointment with Dentistry of Sugar Hill while she was in town. They have our complete trust!!!

The doctor here is a magician, and not only matched a bridge flawlessly to my other teeth, but had me in and out of the office in record time.

Fantastic experience: Remember "Dentistry OF Sugarhill" I have known and been able to rely on Dr Carter, Jennifer, and Roger a long time. They are very communicative about what is necessary to maintain, and I do not put off their advise because they are thoughtful and care. Jennifer has also been able to schedule me conveniently because 95 percent of the time Ive been able to plan ahead. When I get there Roger has always re affirmed where I'm at with homecare and what I must implement to get better results. I know some aspects of thinking about dentalcare may be uncomfortable but I remind myself that forsaking the follow through is not worth the problematic risk of big procedures sooner. I also have to mention Jessica because her clinical skills are excellent and she goes far and above on listening and using her clinical skills to task any of my requests to comfort and preserve my appliances or temporary crown fabrications WHICH STAY ON BY THE WAY. Dr Carter Not Only has the highest reguard for his profession and necessary excellence, but sees to my condition each time I come in with politeness and attentive chairside manner. I return the respect to stay quiet so he can work (and I think he notices that I do). I drive a long way to receive these services Rather Than Choosing Closer dentist for convenience that would care less about what happens in the future. Many people do that but I personally would not invite the future anxiety and worry for a closer driving distance. I've been going to Dr James Carter for 3 years and he has never disappointed. The work he did was absolutely essential to my dental health and immediate needs as well. His staff and he has remembered me each time I have come in and he has repaid my loyalty by seeing me in times of emergency. He has seen me and remedied my mistakes without judgment, never a lecture from this guy. He is just a good man, a good dentist, with a great chair side manner, and impeccable dental services. 3/19/24 - Dr Carter has done Such A Great job for me this year and I wouldn't have anyone else for a dentist. I can rely on his judgement and integrity because he is just that good. His lab matches color like no one else Plus he uses latest dental technology instead of old fashioned rubber impressions. He meets the standard of modern technology and exactness. 4/18/24 Dr Carter also has an assistant named Jessica with superb itero computer skills and does an absolutely fantastic job adjusting my nightguard in all the right places. She is also an amazing find. 5/14/24 I will be referring 2 people to Dr. Carter because he has my absolute trust!

Fantastic experience: I was pleasantly surprised by this office from the first time I called to inquire about making an appointment as a new patient. The receptionist was pleasant and sincere. Then Roger, the hygienist, although young was very knowledgeable and had a wonderful “bedside” manner. He was communicative and gentle. When Dr. Carter came in he proceeded to show me all my x-rays and pictures and explained everything in a way that I could understand. Overall, I was completely satisfied with my experience and made my next appointment for October.
