Negative experience: 1 star for the receptionists. I don’t appreciate being asked if there is absolutely no way I can make it in when I call to reschedule. If there was a way I would not be rescheduling. And then to be told “well we do require 24hr notice in order to not bill you for it.” When I called on a Thursday and my appointment was on a Monday I’m then told 24 hr business days. I didn’t know the office was closed on Fridays and I was told it’s been that way for a year. I honestly didn’t know that or would have made sure I called on Wednesday. This isn’t the 1st this has happened. I like the dentist and the hygienists but there are a couple receptionist that are flat out rude.

Fantastic experience: They took me in with short notice, accomodated me and addressed my immediate concern with very clear explanation. Dr. Deboer sat down and did not appear rushed which I really apprexiated.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to this office for dentist requirements for over ten years and my wife's family have been there for their lifetimes before it was GRDP. We always trust the staff here. They are courteous, transparent and honest. We've recommended other friends and family to go there and they have all been very happy to have found their best dentist ever. Unfortunately, the dentist who bought the practice and his hygienists were an extreme disappointment. We started looking for options. GRDP was highly recommended and after making the switch, we have been delighted with the care we have received. Our hygienist, Katy, is very professional, gentle and friendly. She obviously cares about my welfare and making me proud of my smile. The dentists are very caring and compassionate and provide excellent professional services. Fantastic experience: This is my first time with Reagan cleaning my teeth. She is fantastic! She is very gentle and thorough. I appreciate it.

Negative experience: I have been a patient here for 20 years and this visit was extremely disappointing. After confirming my appointment via text message several days in advance and then checking in upon arrival (5 minutes prior to my appointment), I waited 25 minutes in the waiting area. When I went to the desk to inquire about the delay, the receptionist was shocked that I was still in the waiting room. She went back to check on the reason for the delay and when she returned, she told me that they would not be able to get to me today. She asked me if I could just come back tomorrow. My schedule is full and I already needed to take time off for this appointment. Now, I need to take additional time off to reschedule. This was for my routine hygiene appointment which was made six months in advance. As a long-time patient, I understand that issues arise and this is certainly not the normal procedure at this practice and I hope I do not have this experience again. This review is strictly related to the experience and not the practice or the staff….they are phenomenal!

She explained each step of the exam and what she would do and why. She is very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. She was thorough in the cleaning, but gentle with my sensitivities. Dr J Smith was personable and very knowledgeable. Great office!! Go see them. They won't disappoint. Oh did I mention the fresh baked cookies at check out?...yup it's true and they are yummy

Fantastic experience: I’m really happy with my first visit with Dr. Nic at Grand Rapids Dental Partners. Everyone was so friendly and considerate. All my teeth x-rayed and 3d imaged in record time and with no discomfort. Dr. Nic was super friendly and discussed the imaging results and took several minutes to discuss the best products for my oral care. The staff were awesome as well and offered me a first visit goodie bag of several oral care products and logo items. Just a great visit!

Positive experience: I enjoy working with Grand rapids dental partners, but recent schedule changes have left a bad taste in my mouth. After waiting months for an appointment it was abruptly canceled and now I need to wait much longer. I'm willing to wait because I enjoy the practice, but I question the business decision that was made.

Fantastic experience: Chipped a tooth over the weekend. Called on Monday morning and they were able to get me in by 11:30 AM. Dr Smith assessed The damage, fixed the chip tooth and had me out of the office by noon. Doesn’t get much better than that, thank you so much.

Fantastic experience: Dr Smith and his team are so very professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate. They listen to concerns, answer questions and do not rush to finish the conversation. Pam is outstanding. She identified a potential concern on my tongue during the teeth cleaning process and had Dr Smith immediately assess. I was able to schedule an appointment with an oral surgeon for further evaluation. The clinic is very clean and relaxed. Dental sample supplies are always offered and available when finished. I am a retired RN of 43 years and I appreciate the expertise of the Grand Rapids Dental Partners 5 star team. Thankyou Jane Moore

I have no beef or hate, but learn to work with customers better. Our feelings and mindset also matters. Just disappointed I had to find a new dentist. Basically got told you’ll have to find a new palace, we can’t help you.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Grand Rapids Dental Partners since the early 1980s, when the founder, Dr. Northway, was recommended to me by a co-worker. There are good reasons why I have chosen to stay with them, even though I now live more than 70 miles away. They are great -- everyone on the staff. It's worth the drive to see the people whom I have long called friends. Dr. Northway has retired but many of his staff are still there. I recently had an issue with a tooth. I called and got an appointment right away. Problem solved! Their patient focus is awesome.
