When Dr. P left Southbridge Family Dental to continue practicing in Watertown, I didn't hesitate to follow him—even though it means driving more than an hour each way. That's how much trust he has earned. Losing him at Southbridge was devastating because, after years of disappointing dental experiences, I had finally found a dentist I trusted completely. Trust doesn't come easily for me, especially when it comes to dentists. From my very first appointment, Dr. P took the time to explain everything, answer every question, and make sure I felt comfortable. He is patient, compassionate, honest, and never makes you feel rushed or pressured into unnecessary treatment. After surviving an abusive relationship, I needed one of my front teeth repaired. Dr. P went above and beyond to restore not only my smile but also my confidence. He made sure every detail was right and wouldn't stop until I was completely happy. That level of care meant more to me than he will probably ever know. After Dr. P left Southbridge, I had an experience there that reminded me exactly why I trusted him so much. I left my appointment without receiving the routine cleaning I had scheduled or the X-rays that were due. Instead, I left feeling anxious, discouraged, and questioning what I had been told about my dental health. When Dr. P learned what had happened, he didn't hesitate. Even though his schedule was already full, he squeezed me into his Watertown office that very same week—just four days later. He repeated the cleaning, completed the necessary X-rays, performed a thorough examination, and didn't charge me. He confirmed that I did not have gingivitis and that I did not need the prescription mouthwash I had previously been told I needed. What struck me even more was this: only a few days earlier, my gums had been sore and bleeding during the previous appointment. During my visit with Dr. P, he completed the exact same type of routine dental work with professionalism and a gentle touch, and my gums didn't bleed at all. That experience spoke volumes. Dr. P didn't have to go out of his way for me, but he did. He wanted to make sure I received the care I should have received in the first place. That kind of integrity, compassion, and dedication is incredibly rare. Beyond being an exceptional dentist, Dr. P is an exceptional person. You can tell he is a devoted family man by the way he speaks about his wife, his children, his parents, and his family. When he talks about them, the love and pride in his eyes are unmistakable. It's genuine, and it's refreshing. I truly believe the compassion he has for his family is the same compassion he brings to every patient he treats. He makes you feel like family. Healthcare needs more professionals like Dr. P. He has restored my faith in dentistry through his honesty, skill, and genuine care for his patients. I would gladly drive over an hour—and I'd drive to the moon if I had to—to remain his patient. If you're fortunate enough to become one of Dr. Patadiya's patients, know that you've found someone truly special. He isn't just an outstanding dentist—he's one of the finest healthcare professionals I've ever had the privilege of knowing.

Fantastic experience: I got my new dentures here about a week ago with follow up today. There was a problem with my insurance and Dr. P and his staff worked with me 100%.. Everyone in that office is so kind and helpful. Dr. P is amazing!!!!!! He gave me my smile, and my confidence back and for that I'm so grateful. Negative experience: This is a terrible place. The girl at the reception with black hair is extremely rude and disrespectful. They place crowns but take no responsibility for their work. The doctors are constantly changing — in one year I have already seen four different doctors. When I said that the doctor who placed my crown should fix it because it fell off, they told me they could not help because he no longer works there. But that is not my problem. They do not want to take any responsibility for what happens in their company. I also filed a lawsuit against them when they shaved down six of my teeth without my permission and placed six crowns on healthy teeth that I specifically asked them not to touch. The doctor told me he would not touch them and that he only wanted to “make it look nice.” What is happening here is unacceptable. This company should be closed.

Fantastic experience: Nobody wants to go to the dentist, but I’m excited when I come because the customer service for Mari at the front desk is amazing i’m very professional. A quick little snippet of my experience, I have been dealing with sensitive tooth for over 25 years and went to over four dentist and nobody could find the issue. Dr. Patadiya found my issue within 10 minutes or less.. I no longer experience sensitivity, in that tooth because he took care of me . Negative experience: I’ve been going to this location for years, and been through change of ownership. My latest appointment for an annual cleaning was the worst experience I’ve ever had with this office. This time, no flossing prior to cleaning per usual, the dentist kept poking at my gum even though I’ve signaled it a few times. The assistant kept spraying water all over me. On top of that, they were soooo distracted selling me the Invisalign which is expiring this June (according to them). They didn’t even polish my teeth after the dentist had finished. Why? Too busy getting me “scanned” for the Invisalign. The best part is, the front desk manager told me if I don’t take up this offer right now, she couldn’t offer me once I leave the office.

Negative experience: I used to go to this office when they were American Dental, and before they switched owners they were amazing. Their staff was nice and every visit was pleasant. Just had an appointment today and it was the worst experience i've ever had at a dentist. The cleaning was awful- the dentist went extremely hard with the drill even when I told him it hurt and i've NEVER experienced pain during a cleaning. They didn't even floss my teeth.... Isn't that the whole point of a cleaning? After the rude dental assistant polished my teeth, it was crunchy; she didn't even rinse fully and she just left. It was completely rushed and honestly one of the worst experiences i've had at a dentist office.

Negative experience: I rarely leave reviews because I believe everyone deserves a second chance, but this experience was disappointing enough to speak up. I waited 30 minutes past my appointment time to see the dentist. The actual cleaning felt rushed, lasting about 15 minutes, and the dark spots on my teeth were still visible afterward. When I brought this up to the front desk, I was told the dentist was in between procedures and couldn’t speak with me, have to wait to talk to him to point out the dark spots (tea/coffee stain) In total, I spent about 1 hour 15 minutes: 5 minutes for X-rays, 15 minutes with the dentist, 5 minutes for polishing, and the rest just waiting. I left feeling dissatisfied. Unfortunately, I do not recommend this dental office.

Negative experience: DO NOT RECOMMEND - they have an extremely inefficient cleaning process. This is the only office I have been to, where the DR does the actual cleaning. This makes no sense, one doctor doing all the cleanings? While the dental assistants are just holding the suction/water thingy? No sense. A 30 min apt ends up being a 1hr appointment. - all the equipment looks old! - asked if something was covered, because I knew it was and they said no. Got home and checked myself, and it is covered! - it doesn't feel like they really clean your teeth properly. Anyways, wont come back and do not recommend. It is one of the shittiest dental offices I have been to. - the only good thing about this office is that the staff at least are nice.

Negative experience: I urge you not to go to this clinic. Every time I visit, it’s almost empty, and there are hardly any clients, but that’s a different matter. Recently, I had one tooth saved, and I was happy with the result, so I didn’t pay much attention to the negative reviews. But then, when they started working on my other teeth, they damaged my healthy teeth without my consent in order to make a cosmetic makeover, even though I never asked for that. My insurance covers the treatment, and it seems like they decided to do whatever they wanted, even though I came to them with a request to treat root canals and save the teeth that were on the verge of falling apart. Before the procedure, they told me they would restore my front teeth, which were perfectly healthy and never caused any issues. I thought they might fix one or two teeth, but they didn’t mention how many teeth they would treat, just that it would be the front row. I was confused, but when I realized they were grinding down all my healthy front teeth, I panicked, but it was too late. I never imagined they would destroy my entire front row of teeth just to place crowns for the sake of aesthetics, but I never asked for it to look “nice”! I had to wait three weeks for the crowns, and during the whole procedure, I experienced unbearable pain and cried for a long time. This should not happen; it’s not normal. It seems the doctor improperly treated my teeth, possibly exposing nerves or removing enamel. This could be a legal case. After the procedure, I barely made it home, writhing in pain. I can’t even drink water because it hurts so much—water, air—anything that touches my teeth causes pain. I’ve never had problems like this before. Please, do not go to this place. Do not trust them. I regret every day that I went there. Now I can’t get back my teeth or my peace of mind. What should I do with the pain if it doesn’t go away?

Fantastic experience: My recent experience with Rodolfo Ibarria was astoundingly good! He told me my two front teeth had decaying fillings and I never liked how my two front teeth looked so he offered to replace my ugly two front teeth with beautiful crowns and he did it so fast, and it was all so unexpected, I am just so impressed!

Negative experience: Wont come back. If you’re curious why this place review score is so high and recent reviews are all bad experience is because it recently changed owner. Not a fan of new staff here, my appointment started with 40mins wait because they’re running behind. Finally my turn for a regular cleaning, it’s absolutely the worse cleaning experience I ever had. I took the X-ray which the dentist forgot to take a look. During polishing phase, I have crumbles all over my mouth. Then cleaning phase, water squirted all over my face. Same with my husband’s experience. It’s a pity that it’s located so close to where we live and they took something good turned into bad. Wont come back

Negative experience: I hate writing in all caps but these are the reviews that get seen. DO NOT GO HERE MY VISIT WAS HORRIBLE!!! Before I start complaining let me say the one pleasant part about my experience was the staff outside of the dentist himself. They were all friendly and polite, and were the only silver lining on an otherwise awful cleaning. Please listen to the other 1 star reviews, they are not kidding. I recently moved to the area and have been looking for a new dentist for my 6 month cleaning. The overall star rating here made me think this was a great place to go but I wish I had actually read the reviews before coming. The other reviews are right about the interior and age of the equipment, ect. Most of this wasn't off putting to me but it was the level of care I received while going in for my cleaning. First they polished my teeth before doing any scaling which is not the correct order because plaque should be removed BEFORE polishing. I suspect they did this because the only person who could actually do the scaling was the dentist who was busy with another patient in the other room. After the polish I had to wait for the dentist to finish in the other room and when he came in he took a quick look at a few of my x-rays and then immediately started scaling my teeth with the metal water pick. He just yelled for someone to come hold the suction tube and started in. He didn't perform any inspection with picks for enamel decay or weakening, just started scaling. The scaling itself was BRUTAL and it was very clear he was rushing to get the cleaning done so he could continue with the patient he had been with in the other room. The polishing and scaling took a grand total of FIVE MINUTES MAX! There was no scraping of my actual teeth either, just brutalizing me with the water pick at my gum lines and then rushing out. Like other reviewers have said I cannot stress enough how little care and time was put into the actual cleaning, it was very clearly rushed and very poorly done. Then that was it, no flossing, no fluoride rinse, and no polishing after the scaling. To top it all off my gums were profusely bleeding and I have been getting 2 cleanings a year my entire life, I have never had close to this much bleeding from a cleaning before. When I got home I showed my fiancé my teeth and it was clear there was still plaque on multiple areas of my teeth. I'm not sure if they have a different dentist working at different days but trust me this was the absolute worst dental cleaning I have ever had and I would strongly advise anyone to steer clear of My Dental Watertown.

Negative experience: DONT EVER GO HERE!!!!!!! it is the absolute worst dentist I’ve ever gone to. They didn’t even clean my teeth. I felt like I was rushed out of the office, and I have all plaque and staining that they didn’t even attempt to get off. I didn’t even feel like I was a patient. There was no conversation. I had to switch rooms twice because one of the machines were broken and one of the Rooms. When I was getting my teeth cleaned, they had to have someone from the front desk. That’s right the front desk hold one of the Suction tool, while the other lady was doing my teeth by the way, cutting my gum with one of the plaque things that they used to scrape it off. I almost walked out because they were going so fast and was so rushed and I’m like what the hell is the desk person doing in here is so unprofessional this place should be shut down. The only reason I went to the first place because they were only who took mass health.

Negative experience: This is possibly the worst dentist office. I went in for a root canal which went alright, but the receptionist has charged me more than my insurance bills show. I have been trying to get a refund for the overcharged amount for the last 4 months. The office claims to have lost my payment receipts, but I saved my receipts and have emailed them copies repeatedly.

Fantastic experience: I went for my Root Canal about a month ago and it was painless and a stress free procedure . I arrived early for my appointment. The front desk receptionisnt was very helpful and friendly and the dentist he was the best, he was amazing made me feel very comfortable he was constantly checking one throughout the procedure. Fantastic experience: Honest review. I have been terrified of the dentist since 2013 after a dentist in fields corner numbed me up and proceeded to drill and I felt pain while numb and I NEVER WENT TO A DENTIST AGAIN... Until now my teeth have got so bad due to my terrible experience but finally found the bravery to finally go because of my partner going and suggesting them to me. I had my first root canal and was dying inside from the ice being put on my teeth and hurt sooooo bad but I stayed and faced my fears. I forget the dentist name but he is the male dentist there on weekends/Sunday. He numbed me three times before working and making sure I was ok and not feeling anything. I finally got a tooth fixed after a decade smh. I have to go back for a cracked tooth/cavity and I intend to do so and I hope the regular dentist take care of me like he did as I'm still in fear of pain as I'm not sure if they will numb me enough. But I recommend this place 1000 percent for root canals for sure. Also I see the bad reviews and I'm assuming the bad employees are not working there anymore I didn't meet anyone problematic or anything and was also given antibiotics before my root canal appointment

Negative experience: I have yes I do have tooth pain, had my first appointment the dr said I needed a root canal, saw the Orthodontist he said no “it is a cavity” went back for a third appointment while still in pain the dr said “ no it is a root canal, the dr didn’t want to do it because it is complicated due to the anatomy of the root, go to tuffs school the students can do it for you” Yes 3 appointments , stills lots of pain and no empathy at all. It is terrible that they do business in my town. Terrible, I do no recommend it at all. Waste of my time, money.

Fantastic experience: This appointment was long overdue by about four years! and my teeth desperately needed an exam, x-rays and a good cleaning. After purchasing new dental insurance the previous week and getting this first appointment with this dental practice, I looked forward to this visit. My goal was to visit the nail salon for an hour plus treatment then head over to the dental practice which was only a ten minute drive away. I make it a practice never to be late for anything and gave myself a thirty minute window from the nail salon to the dentist. So, why did my Lift driver drive to the dental practice to pick me up when I was patiently waiting outside the nail salon for them. After calling the driver for the third time, he told me that he was directed to pick me up at the dental practice. by now, it's around 1:54 p.m. My appt was at 2. I told him to cancel my trip and I'll call for another Lift. He didn't and I was unable to rebook until he closed out my trip. I had to call him, again, to him to cancel my trip. It was 90 degrees out but the weather couldn't compare to how heated I was over this mess up. I finally arrived at 2:11 p.m. The office desk assistant, Naara, was very understanding and accommodating; but I was meant with another obstacle. It's now 2:15 a.m. Unable to find me in the dental network, Naara had to call my two new dental insurers for clearance, etc. While standing there waiting, I kept wondering how my well-planned half-day of beauty could nose-dive so quickly. Am I not going to get my much needed cleaning? I was ready to pack it in and reschedule. It was Naara who told me to hang in there. It was around 2:30 p.m. when another assistant escorted me to a dental room. I wasn't pleased about what the exam showed but I was pleased with the cleaning I received from Dr. Gupta, along with her referral for me to see a peridontis. Thanks everyone at this practice for being so pleasant, accommodating and good at what each of you do. -Nadine

Negative experience: Mainly went in for my annual cleaning. It wasn't the hygienist who cleaned my teeth but the dentist. Dentist only cleaned visible spots of my lower inside teeth, which seemed to be done on purpose so I wouldn't notice. I use my dental inspection mirror to check later and found so many black stains/possible black plaques/tartars(?). No wonder the cleaning was done in such a shorter time than usual. Though I have encountered one office that didn't clean so well but this is the worst. Every tooth in the back and on the top inside had black spots not cleaned. Very disappointed. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Fantastic experience: These dentists are very experienced, and I’m amazed how well they did my procedures. I had a surprise cavity that receded my gum that gave the tooth a large crevice. I could not believe how well they filled it in, and that it looked like a new tooth, as if nothing ever happened. They made great care in being careful about any pain I’d go through, which was virtually none at all. Highly recommended dentists.

Fantastic experience: I had to get a root canal and this was one of the best experiences that I’ve ever had at a dental office. Dr. Yim was so amazing. First off I didn’t even feel the Novacaine shot and I was immediately numb. Then he put on calm, soothing jazz, and the root canal was very quick. I never thought I would leave a review for a dental office, but I was so blown away by his expertise!
